"Marlon Brando was too good looking for the part of Jim in 'Rebel Without a Cause'" Yes, because James Dean was so ugly, wasn't he?
Marlon Brando, James Dean and Montgomery Clift were my favourite. 😌👌
Could you imagine being the modern equivalent of Marlon Brando, Paul Newman, James Dean or Steve Mcqueen
Elia Kazan is known to direct method actors. The earliest and most famous ones were James Dean, Marlon Brando, and Montgomery Clift.
Page 49 of "The Present" at www.truthcontest.com --- Acting or playing someone else helps you realize that you are not your mind, because you are acting as if you are in someone else's mind. It makes you realize you are not someone else's mind, nor your own. The Method: Method Acting is the art of living from the outside in. You are not even there. You are just a reaction or reflection of what is outside of you. Great actors such as Marlon Brando and James Dean use the method to get into the present and become the center of it. A spiritual being just does it all the time. It is all about becoming the truth and the life. This book just shows you how to do it. In acting, you include negative emotions if the role calls for it. In real life, you leave them out, because they are not needed and can cause problems. Many of the great actors and/or stars of the past knew how to get into the present intuitively. They had a connection with the collective unconscious or Holy Spirit if you are into religion (they are ...
Though it's edited but this photo is purely an art. I'm so dying hope this pic is real.(James Dean and Marlon Brando)
(COOL FOR REAL) Cool has been around along time really. Jimmy Cagney was really prob one of the first cool movie gangsters. Years later Fonzie followed the footsteps for being cool. James Cagney was cool in the 40s and who could forget Marlon Brando in the 50s and James Dean and even Elvis. The Fonze was the from the 50s but made in the 70s. Jimmy Hendrix and so many people were cool and rock stars or even movie stars. But guess what? you don't have to be a movie star or a rock star or have long hair or even tattoos to be cool. Some people are staving for attention and try to get it in many ways or fit in the crowd. You don't have to go to jail to be cool or even have purple or jet black hair. Some people try to be cool and are just being a followers and end up being stupid about it and maybe take up smoking and just end up with a bad habbit. So , smoking is not cool either. If you have to try to be cool its not in you. People that are cool don't even know it, they don't think about it, they live it. ...
Think about this.it's 1956 and Elvis, James Dean (if he were still alive), Marlon Brando, Nick Adams & Vic Marrow ALL in the same movie together. Now THAT'S what I call a bunch of bad *** :)
I saw James Dean and Marlon Brando and just drooled for a while like an *** xD
I am thinking James Dean or Marlon Brando today---that's a tough choice.how many vote Dean, how many vote Brando. either way cant lose, just curious :)

Beth & I are observing the holidays in our own way, by playing our original game, "Celebrity Death Swap," over dinner. It goes like this: You pick a public figure who died far too young and, to rectify the loss of that person, swap him or her for a comparable person who burned out young and hung around unproductively too long. It began when I suggested swapping George Gershwin for Irving Berlin. Since then, our list has ballooned: Carole Lombard for Lana Turner, John Garfield for James Cagney,Selena for Jennifer Lopez, Tupac Shakur for Will Smith, John Kennedy Toole for JD Salinger, Heath Ledger for Owen Wilson -- and a few tough ones; Buddy Holly for Willie Nelson right after "Red Headed Stranger," James Dean for Marlon Brando after "The Godfather," Sam Cooke for Ray Charles after "Modern Sounds in Country & Western Music." A few are stumping us: Lindsay Lohan, Justin Bieber, Gary Busey, Mickey Rooney (lived/living too long), Philip Seymour Hoffman, Peter Sellers, River Phoenix, James Gandolfini, Basquia ...

Please share with Maui Actors. One Day Only! April 4th Feel free to contact Scott scottActing for the Camera” Method Acting is the most misunderstood acting technique in the world. Much of what you read on the internet about it is wrong. You hear the phrase used often to describe an actors performance - usually when they're overacting or throwing tantrums on set or "living as the character" off-camera too. In reality, none of these things have anything to do with the Method. Nothing. Method Acting has been called everything from "brilliant" to "dangerous" (and I believe it can be both)... BUT, there's a reason it’s still used. And, that the ranks of Method trained actors include: Christian Bale, Marlon Brando, Adrien Brody, Nicolas Cage, Michael Caine, Angelina Jolie, Jessica Chastain, Glenn Close, Bradley Cooper, Daniel Day-Lewis, James Dean, Robert De Niro, Johnny Depp, Leonardo Dicaprio, Jane Fonda, Hilary Swank, Tom Hanks, Ed Harris, Anne Hathaway, Dustin Hoffman, Heath Ledger, Matthew McConaugh . ...

"...What also seemed certain was that Leonardo Dicaprio was not going to win this year, or possibly any time soon, unless he becomes a different kind of actor, a much less cool one. Cool guys don’t win Oscars. ... So why is it that so few of the actors who have embodied cool have ever won the Academy Award for best actor? Consider these icons of cool, all of them non-winners: Cary Grant, Richard Burton, Robert Mitchum, James Dean, Steve Mcqueen, Samuel L. Jackson, Gary Oldman, and Tom Cruise. Paul Newman and Humphrey Bogart won late in their careers, after age had worn away some of their cool. Two other cool winners, Marlon Brando and Jack Nicholson, each received one of their two awards in their fifties. Being cool does not mean that an actor isn’t great, successful, or popular—quite the opposite, actually. But it does mean that he will struggle to win the Academy Award for best actor. To understand why, we need a definition of cool (no easy task). For that we need to go to the coolest actor workin ...

On this day in History, January 29 ... Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward marry on this day in 1958 One of Hollywood’s most enduring marriages begins on this day in 1958, when Paul Newman weds Joanne Woodward in Las Vegas, Nevada. The two actors first met in the early 1950s while working in New York City on a Broadway production of the romantic drama Picnic. Newman had a supporting role and filled in for the show’s star, while Woodward was the understudy to the play’s female leads. They were both members of Lee Strasberg’s prestigious Actors Studio, alongside Marlon Brando, James Dean and Rod Steiger. After the play’s success, Newman and Woodward both headed to Hollywood, where he signed a contract with Warner Brothers and she began working with 20th Century Fox. Though Newman’s first film, The Silver Chalice (1954), was a bomb, he followed it up with an acclaimed turn as the boxer Rocky Graziano in Somebody Up There Likes Me (1956). Woodward had even more early success, starring as a woman with ...
Two actors made it on to the best newbes list on Daytime Confidential No. 1: Bryan Craig, General Hospital Who says pretty boys can't act? Certainly not anyone who was a fan of Paul Newman, James Dean or Marlon Brando, the latter of whom General Hospital newbie Bryan Craig recalls as tortured mob heir Morgan Corinthos. As the only biological child to spring forth from the combustible union of Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Carly Roberts (Laura Wright), all eyes were destined to be on Morgan when he returned to Port Charles as a SORASed young adult. This could have gone either way. All the added attention to the character could have made a less-than-stellar debut for NuMorgan crushingly bad (See: The most recent Kristina Corinthos-Davis), or GH could have discovered a screen partner for Benard who is what a young Jonathan Jackson (ex-Lucky) was for Tony Geary (Luke). We're glad to say Craig is definitely Mo's "Cowboy". When Morgan begged Sonny not to tell golden boy Michael (Chad Duell) that Kiki (Kr ...
Had a bad cold the last week or so and it has been cold so staying inside. Been on the computer so much but I didn't feel like doing anything else. Started watching the biography of stars, Steve Mcqueen, Rita Hayworth, Tyrone Power, Marlon Brando, Dorothy Danville, Vivian Leigh, James Dean on YouTube. My goodness the actors of those days were pretty risque and most of the women died young and tragic deaths. Most of them suffered from a bad childhood, etc. Ii is pretty eye opening.
Nearly 8 years ago I made a list of my Top 400 favorite stars of all-time. And Peter O'Toole was in that ranking. I don't think my tastes have changed much in that time and here's how 1-11 were then. Starting with Marlon Brando, then it's Humphrey Bogart, Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, James Cagney, Clint Eastwood, Greta Garbo, Bette Davis, Gary Cooper, Steve Mcqueen and Paul Newman. And after O'Toole there's Spencer Tracy, then Burt Lancaster, Jack Nicholson, Marilyn Monroe, Richard Burton, Michael Caine, Dustin Hoffman, Clark Gable, James Stewart, Sean Connery, Robert Duvall, Ingrid Bergman, Gregory Peck, Henry Fonda, Warren Beatty, John Wayne, Anthony Quinn, Rod Steiger, James Dean and Cary Grant. That should give you a pretty good idea of my tastes.

Elia Kazan the Greek-American Director, Producer, Writer and Actor, described by The New York Times as "one of the most honored and influential directors in Broadway and Hollywood history", his Death Anniversary today. He was born in Istanbul, Ottoman Empire, to ethnic Greek parents. After studying acting at Yale, he acted professionally for eight years, later joining the Group Theater in 1932, and co-founded the Actors Studio in 1947. With Robert Lewis and Cheryl Crawford, he introduced Method Acting to the American stage and cinema as a new form of self-expression and psychological "realism." Kazan acted in only a few films, including City for Conquest (1940). Kazan introduced a new generation of unknown young actors to the movie audiences, including Marlon Brando and James Dean. Noted for drawing out the best dramatic performances from his actors, he directed 21 actors to Oscar nominations, resulting in nine wins. He became "one of the consummate filmmakers of the 20th century" after directing a string ...
The Secret Behind James Franco's Success by Roy Kirkland Birthday: 4 (April) + 19 = Birthday 19/1 23 = Achievement; 23/5 + 1978+23 = 2001; 2+0+0+1 = Lifepath 3 From a soap opera psychotic artist (General Hospital), to a nice but mad scientist (Rise of the Planet of the Apes), to a vengeful super-villain (Spiderman), to an inter-dimensional con-man (Oz, the Great and Powerful), there hasn’t been a role yet that is beyond or beneath this hardworking young artist. Hot on the heels of James Dean (whom he won a Golden Globe award for playing) and Marlon Brando, he is rapidly becoming Hollywood’s new “bad boy” as a writer, director and actor. His non-conformist attitude, choice of roles, and insatiable thirst for knowledge and experience is clearly reflected in his numbers. Mr. Franco’s 6 Soul Urge underlies his interest in education; not only has he taught at prestigious institutions, including NYU, USC and UCLA, but is currently a PhD candidate at Yale University. His 11 personality shows his unique ...
I wish I had lived in the 50's so James Dean, Clint Eastwood, Marlon Brando and Paul Newman could have taken me on dates. They just don't make eye candy like that anymore.
I like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, James Dean, Marlon Brando, Marilyn Monroe, Elvis etc., too much to halfway like modern entertainment.
T-shirts were still considered underwear in 50's, until John Wayne, Marlon Brando, and James Dean shocked all by wearing “underwear” on T.V.
Can I just go back in time and marry an old movie star like Rock Hudson or James Dean or Marlon Brando
18) If you could go back in time & marry an actor who would it be? - James Dean or Paul Newman or Marlon Brando
Thanks to the US Navy, Marlon Brando, James Dean & our favorite rockers for helping to make the T-shirt a wardrobe staple!

Liriknya Westkust taek nih: "I was not born to be as cool as Marlon Brando and his bikes or James Dean and his cars"
What a beautiful day off, just watching movies all day from the 1940s, 50s, and 60s. Something about those black & white movies just gets me in awe as well as the ones in color. The actors/actresses in those days were so aesthetically appealing. Marlon Brando, James Dean, Audrey Hepburn, Liz Taylor, Marilyn Monroe are just a few of the most natural, elegant, and classic Hollywood famous movie stars in their time. They portray a certain dreamy aura or vibe that glues your eyes to the screen. Couldn't ask for a better day :-) FEELING DREAMY AND STAR STRUCK TONIGHT :-)
Last night my girlfriend told me she didn't know who Marlon Brando or James Dean were. This shocked me.
And the slow packing begins... First to deal with the James Dean shrine that is my bedroom.
Watching castings and screen tests of actors who DIDN'T get the parts... Marlon Brando for "Rebel Without A Cause" (James Dean got the part)...David O Selznick didn't have the money or script while testing 36 actresses for the part of Scarlett O'Hara in "Gone With The Wind"... Paulette Goodard's tests were amazing, and it came down to her and three others (Vivian Leigh got the part). good lesson here. Just because you didn't get the part, it doesn't mean you're a failure... "Stay thirsty, my friends".
TOUGH ON THE SCREEN Keith Garrett Heroes or bad guys, they played them all, These stars of the movies, where are they now. A man named Cagney, Edward G. Robinson too, John Garfield, Audie Murphy was quite a hero. Jack Palance, a tough man for sure, John Wayne, the duke was a man of strength. Clint Walker and Richard Boone, big as can be, Forrest tucker, James Coburn, men of the screen. Marlon Brando had a name as big as life, James Dean was a rebel, Richard Widmark was mean. Fess Parker was a big man, Gary Cooper so great, Spencer Tracy awesome, Humphrey Bogart one of a kind. Clark Gable, Anthony Quinn, greatness back in time, Charlton Heston and Gregory Peck, actors so fine. Lee Marvin, what a look, Charles Bronson, one so tough, Kirk Douglas and Burt Lancaster, the talent of two. Yul Brynner, magnificent a star, Robert Mitchum bad or good, Sean Connery, accent with a gun, George Peppard, blue eyes and tough. Tall and mean, Clint Eastwood and a lifetime of movies, Lee Van Cleef a man with a glare, Steve ...
Forget Marlon Brando! Forget James Dean! I'd like you to meet Aidan Evans, the original rebel &male lead in STARLIGHT:
Marlon Brando, James Dean, Frank Sinatra.all of them. Just handsome as ***
So I think I'm gonna have a James Dean and Marlon Brando movie marathon and avoid people all day.
I want to be James Dean or Marlon Brando.
Also, James Dean wore makeup. So did Elvis Presley and Marlon Brando.
Just found out I know someone who’s been on set with James Dean and Marlon Brando. I just got so much cooler.
what do Steve Mcqueen ,Marlon Brando,Bob Dylan ,Clint Eastwood, Buddy Holly ,James Dean and Lee Marvin all have in common?...they all rode triumph motorcycles
you know what, all these young actors of today are from the same cookie cutter. They all sound like James Dean or try to. I catch a movie from time to time on Youtube and just watched Blue Valentine from 2010 and this Ryan Gosling and recently another film with Channing Tatum, all talk the same, just like Matt Dillion some years back and a dozen others who all try to have the same look and the same voice and the same presence as Mr Dean or Marlon Brando did... Cary Grant, Errol Flynn, Alec Guinness, Claude Rains, etc. WHERE are you when we need you.
Trivia: What make of bike was/is the bike of choice for all of the following? Me, Marlon Brando, James Dean, Ann Margaret, Ted Turner, Paul Newman, Hugh Laurie, Pink, Ryan Reynolds, George Clooney, Lee Majors, Rikki Rocket, Steve Mcqueen, Paul Mccartney, The Fonz, and Hagrid?
Quotes About James Dean "Without James Dean, the Beatles would have never existed." John Lennon "James Dean was a genius." Elvis Presley "It's a good thing [James] Dean died when he did. If he'd lived, he'd never have been able to live up to the publicity." -- Humphrey Bogart "All of us were touched by Jimmy, and he was touched by greatness." - Natalie Wood "Jim Dean and Elvis were the spokesmen for an entire generation. When I was in acting school in New York, years ago, there was a saying that if Marlon Brando changed the way people acted, then James Dean changed the way people lived. He was the greatest actor who ever lived. He was simply a genius." - Martin Sheen "He didn't show you very much. He'd challenge you to find him. Then when you'd found him, he'd still make you guess. It was an endless game with him. The thing people missed about Jimmy was his mischievousness. He was the most constantly mischievous person I think I've ever met. Full of tricks, full of magic, full of outrageousness." - Stewar ...
Little known fact about Paul Newman, whose birthday is noted with a couple of films of TCM today. He served as a radio operator/gunner on a TBM Avenger torpedo bomber on the USS Hollandia in World War II. What was called Newman's Luck came often in the early 1950s when he got a series of good parts that better known actors, usually James Dean or Marlon Brando, turned down. But the first instance came at sea. Newman's squadron was to be transferred to the USS Bunker Hill. His pilot had a head cold and the fight surgeon told him not to fly, so Newman's plane remained on the Hollandia. The next day a kamikaze hit the Bunker Hill, crashing into the island and the ready room. Everyone who had come over from the Hollandia was killed, in what proved to be the most lethal kamikaze attack of the war. His memoir of the starting of the Newman's Own line of food products, "Shameless Exploitation in Pursuit of the Common Good" is one the best books about PR. Newman's Own never advertised, instead relying on brilliantl ...
Born On This Day: Maria Augusta von Trapp (1905) Born in Austria and orphaned at a young age, Maria Kutschera planned to become a nun in Salzburg. Instead, she met Baron Georg von Trapp while tutoring one of his seven children. They were married in 1927 and had three children together. After financial trouble, the family began to sing professionally, then fled Nazi Europe for the US. Today, the family operates a lodge in Vermont. Maria's 1949 memoir was adapted into The Sound of Music. Paul Newman (1925): Actor who earned an Oscar in 1986 for his compelling performance in The Color of Money. Newman honed his craft at Yale before garnering critical acclaim for his Broadway debut in “Picnic” (1953). Often compared to the likes of Marlon Brando and James Dean, Newman rose to fame for his work on the silver screen in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (1958), The Long Hot Summer (1958) and The Hustler (1961). After stellar performances in films including Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969) and The Sting (1973), ...

Five years. It's been that long since I have lived in existential darkness. Whenever it came to young actors who were willing to go the distance, Heath was one of them. He was the one who was bold enough to form his own legacy apart from anyone else. In a total of sixteen years, Heath went from a young boy in Perth with tons of passion to an extraordinary man who broke the boundaries in terms of what actors could do in Hollywood. Few actors ever have the immortal impact of the likes of Marilyn Monroe, Marlon Brando, or James Dean and yet Heath Ledger became that icon for an entire generation. Named after the lead characters in Emily Brontë's iconic romantic novel Wuthering Heights, Heath and his sister Kate seemed to be tied to the theatrical part of life very early on. Their father Kim was a mining engineer and race car driver who was the grandson to Sir Frank Ledger, who had been well-known in Australia for his philanthropic efforts devoted to Australia's education system and for being a key person ...
It's the middle of the night. The sun won't come up until right before I have to go to work, but I'm pretty sure that Square Dance Kalamazoo just let my upper back and , shoulders relax. Fight Club…. Fight Club is without a doubt in my top 5 movies of all time. The themes and events in the film are indescribable. Also, this is one of the few films that has PERFECT actors for its characters. Edward Norton is frighteningly convincing as the narrator, and Brad Pitt plays the incredibly strange character of Tyler Durden absolutely flawlessly. Pitt is brilliant as the anarchistic Tyler. With a cocky , confident air about him and a wardrobe that would make a clown look drab , Pitt's role as Tyler finished off a spectacular 90's streak which included Twelve Monkeys and Seven. The character seems to appeal larger then life and will go down as one of the best film creations of the 20th century and a rue male icon along with James Dean and Marlon Brando's memorable characters. Norton also shines as the anonymous everyman seduced into extraordinary circumstances , at times his narration can seem whiny and bitter but it fits the film's tone well. Helena Boham Carter is also brilliant as Norton's ny ...
I love old movies, they don't make men like they used too. seriously, Gene Kelly, George Peppard, James Dean, Marlon Brando, gorgeous.

Movie marathon day...but do I go James Dean or Marlon Brando?!?
Just finished a tantalizing scene from my screenplay, MONTY, about the last years of Montgomery Clift's life. James Dean, Marilyn Monroe, Marlon Brando and Liz Taylor idolized one actor, and that was Montgomery Clift, also known as Monty. Considered one of the greatest actors ever, Monty struggled with alcoholism, crippling pain from a near fatal car crash, and loneliness before a caretaker came to the rescue to save the last years of his life. Let me know if you want a first look at this scene and I'll send it to you.

delanceyplace.com - acting and relaxation In today's selection - Lee Strasberg, director of the Actor's Studio, the most famous acting school in America, whose students included Marlon Brando, Paul Newman, Dustin Hoffman, Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, James Dean, Anne Bancroft, Julie Harris, Marilyn Monroe and many others. Strasberg is best known for his own role as Hyman Roth in The Godfather, Part II. He based his work on the ideas of the Russian director Konstantin Stanislavski. Central to Strasberg's teaching was the idea that an actor needed to closely attend his or her own emotional and physical state, and to focus on transitioning from tension to relaxation. His ideas on relaxation apply far beyond acting: "The first thing Strasberg does, both in his private classes and at the Studio, is to check the actor for tension. Very few of us are fully relaxed in life, but we are not usually aware of tension until it becomes extreme and shows itself through pain. Tension can be so habitual that when relaxatio ...
Top 10 actors in my opinion. who would you put as ur top 5? Marlon brando, Al Pacino, Robert Deniro, Sean Penn, Meryl Streep, James Dean, John Cazale, Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt, Paul Newman.?
Clark Gable is the quintessential male movie star name, as are James Dean and Marlon Brando.
Hottest men in no particular order James Dean, Marlon Brando in The Wild one, , Joey Ramone, Tom Hardy
It turns out that when Madonna tours, and likenesses of many deceased celebrities are used in “set dressing,” the estates gets paid. For example, when Madonna performed “Vogue” at the Super Bowl last February, she paid $3,750 each to the estates of James Dean, Jean Harlow, Ginger Rogers, Bette Davis...
"You're so handsome." "No I'm not, I just look like Kevin Costner. And Marlon Brando. And James Dean. Like, all put together."
River had the fragility of James Dean but the obscene factor… that’s from Marlon Brando.
I'm looking for Marlon Brando, no James Dean qualities in my next boyfriend 😏
I'm trying to be the black James Dean, Clark Gable, or Marlon Brando

I liked a video James Dean, Montgomery Clift, and Marlon Brando
I'm totally fine with James Dean and Marlon Brando hooking up.
I'm a fan of playwright Tennessee Williams (especially after reading "The Glass Menagerie" in literature class). Watched another one of his plays last night, namely "A Streetcar Named Desire" starring Marlon Brando and Vivien Leigh. Prompted me to read more about Brando, his acting techniques, career, and personal life. Many actors thought highly of him, including Jack Nicholson who once said "when Brando dies, everyone (in film) moves up one." "Desire" put him on the map, along with then screen legend James Dean (another hunk on the big screen. :) Also talked about him shunning popular acting methods and his intermittent fling w/ Marilyn Monroe. This film made me see Brando in a whole new light-maybe I should look for his other performances (pre-Godfather years) in B and W film.
James Dean and Marlon Brando movies, maybe do some simple film labs & senior video. Nothing less nothing more. :/
I will continue to mourn the loss of beautiful men like Marlon Brando and James Dean. Especially since if alive they wouldn't look as good.

T-Shirt Fact of the Day: Typically known as an undershirt, John Wayne, Marlon Brando and James Dean shocked...
James Dean and Marlon Brando would be proud...a true "new retro classic!"
Most people that know me know I love oldies music and classic rock. I sometimes think I should have been born in the 40's so I could be a teen in the 50's and 60's. There's so many great artists that I would have loved the opportunity to see live on stage, such as Elvis, Roy Orbison, Buddy Holly and Freddy Mercury (I know he's from the 80's) just to name a few. These people had the real X factor the charisma, that something extra that you just can't explain but you know only a few very special artists have this. It also goes for actors such as James Dean and Marlon Brando. If you had a time machine and could go back to one concert without changing anything in history or your life now, where would you go?
I surprised myself today. After taking one of these random social tests, this is what I came out as. The REAL question is. how true is it for me? Cool as ice You might not be Marlon Brando or James Dean, but cool you are. What the new research found was that, when asked to name cool traits, most respondents put things like friendliness and talent ahead of being anti-establishment and waging a constant one-man war against The Man. You also have lots of other traits people think are cool. You’re good at what you do, you’re intelligent, you’re confident and you’re not afraid to walk your own path. You might not be very touchy feely, but people trust your advice. Oh, and you may even have a selfless or charitable streak - it seems that, in 2012, that’s cool too.
"...another sensational newcomer from Elia Kazan, who brought you Marlon Brando and James Dean..."
Marlon Brando in The Wild one, James Dean in Rebel Without a cause,Al Pacino in Scarface,Nic Cage in Face off, John Travolta in Pulp Fiction
James Dean patterned his lifestyle after the (inaccurate) image of Marlon Brando's. kinda sad really yo.
Help! I’m stuck in a nightmare in the fifties. ~~> Quick! I'll get James Dean & you get Marlon Brando.
Greg Brady is nothing compared to Montgomery Clift or James Dean or Marlon Brando. I slept with all 3 in '54
Oh, Marlon Brando & James Dean...they don't make 'em like you anymore.
I can poorly impersonate Robert De Niro, Marlon Brando, and James Dean. Next I'll do Joe Pesci and Al Pacino.
Who would win in a hotdog-eating contest: a young Marlon Brando, or James Dean? I'd put my money on James

John Garfield (March 4, 1913 – May 21, 1952) American actor adept at playing brooding, rebellious, working-class character roles. He grew up in poverty in Depression-era New York City and in the early 1930s became an important member of the Group Theater. In 1937 he moved to Hollywood, eventually becoming one of Warner Bros.' major stars. Called to testify before the U.S. Congressional House Committee on Un-American Activities (HUAC), he denied Communist affiliation and refused to "name names", effectively ending his film career. Some have claimed that the stress of this incident led to his premature death at 39 from a heart attack. Garfield is acknowledged as a predecessor of such Method actors as Montgomery Clift, Marlon Brando, and James Dean.
