UNDERSTANDING IRAQ CRISIS A civil war is raging in Iraq. There is a deadlock between the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (alternatively translated as Islamic State in Iraq and Syria and abbreviated as ISIL or ISIS an unrecognized state and active Jihadist militant group in Iraq and Syria influenced by the Wahhabi movement). It is operating in Iraq and Syria. Here we are analyzing the situation of IRAQ in FAQ form: # What was Operation Iraqi Freedom? After the attacks on September 11, 2001, and the overthrow of the Taliban and al-Qaeda in Afghanistan, the United States Government turned its attention to Iraq and the regime of Saddam Hussein. Citing intelligence information that Iraq had stockpiled and continued to develop weapons of mass destruction (WMD) such as poison gas, biological agents, and nuclear weapons, as well as harboring and supporting members of Osama Bin Laden's al-Qaeda terrorist network, the United States and Great Britain led a coalition to topple Hussein's regime in March 2003. Middle East News: The Arab Spring has already deposed leaders like Zine El Abidine Bin Ali of Tunisia, Hosni Mubarak in Egypt, and Muammar Gaddafi in Libya. Syria's Bashar al-Assad is tenaciously holding on to power while rebels continue to fight for control of the country. The Islamic State (of Iraq and Syria), under nominal control of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, challenges the very concept of statehood. They intend to install a new caliphate across the entire region. In short, Southwest Asia is an absolute mess. Now this . . . The government of Yemen, which had the full support of the United States Government, has fled in the face of a rival Shia Houthi insurgency. (Most of the Arabian Peninsula follows Sunni Islam.) “Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort.” – Article Three, Section Three, U.S. Constitution. Given the fact that one of the suspects, Said Kouachi, in the Paris killings had traveled to Yemen in 2011 and that Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula has claimed responsibility for the killings, does it strike anyone as strange that Obama set free five Yemeni detainees out of Guantanomo Bay? Four were sent to Oman, a nation that neighbors Yemen. A fifth was transferred to Estonia. It was the first time either nation had accepted Gitmo prisoners for resettlement. Does anyone think that the five Afghan Taliban leaders Obama set free last year are still in Qatar? Did you know that the Turks are helping the Daeish build three pipelines into Turkey so that they can buy oil as cheap as $2 barrel? The Turkish government is the most corrupt in the region. It fools everyone into thinking it is a friend of the west but it has for a long time been the pathway for cheap oil to Germany and France and for other brokers in Qatar, Kuwait and the UAE. Notice I did not say America. After the first Gulf War the UN "Oil-for-Food" program lined pockets in Turkey and screwed both the United States and Iraq. Turkey has for a long time sought a way to replace the cash cow "Oil-For-Food" program and finally sees Islamic State as its new panacea. This oil flow must stop. Stop the oil and you eventually stop the war. Turkey doesn't want that. Istanbul is weighing the possibility of having a more lucrative relationship with its southern border and no more Kurds. It is about time the world stood up to these phony, greedy Turks. I mean it!

The deaths include 13 people killed in Idlib province on the first day of the strikes. Other deaths include 23 civilians killed in the eastern province of Deir el Zour, two in Raqqa province and two more in Idlib province. Soviet-Jihad connection: Ashok Malik | While calling the killings at Paris-based magazine Charlie Hebdo “horrible and condemnable”, Congress MP Mani Shankar Aiyar helpfully pointed out the Islamist attack was “obvious backlash” to the “war on terror” triggered by the United States after September 11, 2001. Characteristic of his politics, he also brought in Israel and the Palestinian grievance. Mr Aiyar’s logic is not new. In the years after 9/11 it has become conventional wisdom to blame the US and the West for the international jihadist mess. There is a long list of charges against America for provoking Muslim passions. Washington D.C., is accused of recklessly intervening in Islamic countries, backing Israel, patronising democracy-phobic sheikhdoms, and arming the Afghan Mujahideen in the 1980s. Admittedly, there is some truth to the case against America. The history of US foreign policy is not perfect and the legacy of its “mistakes” is still with us. Most recently, an early incarnati ...
The War on Terrorism is Terrorism How the US Helped Create Al Qaeda and ISIS By Garikai Chengu "ICH" - "Counterpunch" - Much like Al Qaeda, the Islamic State (ISIS) is made-in-the-USA, an instrument of terror designed to divide and conquer the oil-rich Middle East and to counter Iran’s growing influence in the region. The fact that the United States has a long and torrid history of backing terrorist groups will surprise only those who watch the news and ignore history. The CIA first aligned itself with extremist Islam during the Cold War era. Back then, America saw the world in rather simple terms: on one side, the Soviet Union and Third World nationalism, which America regarded as a Soviet tool; on the other side, Western nations and militant political Islam, which America considered an ally in the struggle against the Soviet Union. The director of the National Security Agency under Ronald Reagan, General William Odom recently remarked, “by any measure the U.S. has long used terrorism. In 1978-79 th ...

Exclusive new poll: Americans fear “catastrophic terrorist attacks” by ISIS inside US, Israel & Jordan. “Washington Examiner” reports results of survey commissioned for launch of joelcrosenberg (Headline in today's Washington Examiner) In the wake of the horrific terrorist attack in Paris earlier today, the Washington Examiner published the results of an exclusive poll that we commissioned for the launch of The Third Target novel. The poll found Americans deeply fear a "catastrophic terrorist attack" by the Islamic State (aka, "ISIS") inside the United States, against our ally Israel, and against the Kingdom of Jordan, one of our most important moderate Arab allies. The novel, which was released nationwide yesterday, is a political thriller that imagines ISIS plotting genocidal attacks against all three countries, and launching other terror attacks in Europe and Iraq, as well. Here's the story. Poll: 74% fear 'catastrophic terrorist attack' inside United States By Paul Bedard, Washington Examiner, ...
The deadly shootings at the offices of French satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo have reignited discussions among Muslims in the United States and elsewhere about violence purportedly done in the name of their faith, and about what their religion teaches about responding to mockery and criticism. While no group took responsibility for the attack that left 12 dead, videos show a gunman screaming in Arabic, “Allahu akbar” (“God is great”) outside the publication’s building, and witnesses told police the gunmen said they had “avenged the prophet.” One surviving Charlie Hebdo staffer said gunmen told her they represented Al Qaeda. Police have identified three suspects. Several European and American Islamic organizations, as well as sheikhs and mosque leaders around the globe, have denounced the attacks, saying they don’t represent Muslim values. Many cited a popular story about the life of the Islamic prophet that features him getting ridiculed for his faith and not responding with violence. Bu ...

Thomas Jefferson, the U.S. Marines and the Muslims History of Marines and Islam -- Including how the term 'Leatherneck' came to be . Most Americans are unaware of the fact that over two hundred years ago, the United States had declared war on Islam, and Thomas Jefferson led the charge! At the height of the eighteenth century, Muslim pirates were the terror of the Mediterranean and a large area of the North Atlantic. They attacked every ship in sight, and held the crews for exorbitant ransoms. Those taken hostage were subjected to barbaric treatment and wrote heart breaking letters home, begging their government and family members to pay whatever their Mohammedan captors demanded. These extortionists of the high seas represented the Islamic nations of Tripoli, Tunis, Morocco, and Algiers -- collectively referred to as the Barbary Coast -- and presented a dangerous and unprovoked threat to the new American Republic. Before the Revolutionary War, U.S. merchant ships had been under the protection of Great B . ...
U.S., NATO mark end of 13-year war in Afghanistan By Lynne O'Donnell The Associated Press Commander of the International Security Assistance Force Gen. John Campbell speaks during a ceremony to mark the United States and NATO formally ending their war in Afghanistan on Sunday, Dec. 28, 2014 in Kabul. Massoud Hossaini / AP Photo KABUL – The war in Afghanistan, fought for 13 bloody years and still raging, came to a formal end Sunday with a quiet flag-lowering ceremony in Kabul that marked the transition of the fighting from U.S.-led combat troops to the country’s own security forces. In front of a small, hand-picked audience at the headquarters of the NATO mission, the green-and-white flag of the International Security Assistance Force was ceremonially rolled up and sheathed, and the flag of the new international mission called Resolute Support was hoisted. U.S. Gen. John Campbell, commander of ISAF, commemorated the 3,500 international soldiers killed on Afghan battlefields and praised the country’s ...
Australia will deploy military forces and aircraft to a global coalition against the Islamic State group, responding to a request from the United States to become involved militarily in the conflict. A 600-strong force comprising about 400 airforce personnel and 200 special forces soldiers will be deployed to the United Arab Emirates and based at a US headquarters, Prime Minister Tony Abbott said on Sunday. Eight super hornet fighter jets, an early warning and control aircraft, and an aerial refuelling aircraft will be prepared and deployed in coming days, he said. Abbott said the deployment was a “prudent and proportionate” contribution to the coalition and that his government had not yet made the decision to commit troops to combat action. The deployment is the next step in Australia’s involvement in trying to halt the advance of Is ...

The Total Collapse Putin Orders Feared “Samson Defense” To Collapse US-EU Economies December 17, 2014 A chilling report published today by the Ministry of Economic Development (MED) is warning of potentially “catastrophic unknown consequences” relating to President Putin’s issuance to the Central Bank of Russia (CBR) of orders to initiate what is commonly known within the Kremlin as the “Samson Defense” designed to crash the Russian ruble, while at the same time insuring the economic collapse of both the United States and European Union. The CBR’s “Samson Defense” is a Russian monetary strategy designed to economically mirror Israel’s feared “Samson Option” deterrence strategy of massive retaliation with nuclear weapons as a “last resort” if military attacks threaten its existence. In Putin’s action against the US-EU, this report says, the CBR’s stunning move earlier today in raising the interest rate to 17% from 10.5% has had its desired consequence as the ruble plunged ...

From the Dec 9, 2014 Chicago Tribune: The men and women of my former organization, the CIA, are accustomed to frequent and sudden reversals of direction from their political leaders. But the latest twists and turns are especially dramatic. In one ear they hear the public, the media and members of Congress raising alarms about the terrorist threat from the Islamic State: Do something! Do it now! Why didn't you do something sooner? Politicians from both sides of the aisle are saying that the militant group is an enormous challenge and must be prevented from bringing its brutality to America's shores. The president assures us that the United States will "degrade and ultimately destroy" these terrorists, while the vice president doubles down and says we will follow the Islamic State to "the gates of *** " But shouting in CIA officers' other ear are people such as Sen. War by Media and the Triumph of Propaganda by JOHN PILGER DECEMBER 5-7, 2014 Why has so much journalism succumbed to propaganda? Why are censorship and distortion standard practice? Why is the BBC so often a mouthpiece of rapacious power? Why do the New York Times and the Washington Post deceive their readers? Why are young journalists not taught to understand media agendas and to challenge the high claims and low purpose of fake objectivity? And why are they not taught that the essence of so much of what’s called the Mainstream Media is not information, but power?? These are urgent questions. The world is facing the prospect of major war, perhaps nuclear war – with the United States clearly determined to isolate and provoke Russia and eventually China. This truth is being turned upside down and inside out by journalists, including those who promoted the lies that led to the bloodbath in Iraq in 2003. The times we live in are so dangerous and so distorted in public perception that propaganda is no lon ...
U.S. believes Iran launched air raids on Islamic State in Iraq The United States has indications that Iran has carried out air strikes on Islamic State targets in Iraq in recent days in what appeared to be the first such operations by Iran's air force, U.S. officials said on Wednesday. A senior Iranian official denied that Iran had launched any such strikes. U.S. officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the United States had indications that Iran had used F-4 Phantoms to launch the raids in Diyala near the Iranian border in the last several days. An Iraqi security expert gave a slightly different account, saying the strikes took place 10 days ago. "It is true that Iranian planes hit some targets in Diyala. Of course the government denies it because they have no radars," Hisham al-Hashemi told Reuters. A Pentagon spokesman declined to go into details about the air raids during a media briefing. Officials said the strikes appeared to be the first carried out by the Iranian air force. Diyala is an ...

Pentagon chief Hagel out as Islamic State war heats up Wed, 26 Nov 2014 WASHINGTON: President Barack Obama announced the departure of US Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel on Monday, with the White House under fire over perceived fumbling in its response to the Islamic State threat. The former Republican senator, who has been in the job for less than two years, was chosen to oversee a shift to a peacetime military with smaller defense budgets, but found the United States at war again. Rapid advances by Islamic State jihadists in Syria and Iraq forced the Pentagon chief into managing a complex campaign, and Obama concluded Hagel was not the man for the task. The 68-year-old Vietnam war veteran joined Obama at the White House to confirm his departure. When I asked Chuck to serve as secretary of defense we were entering a significant period of transition: the drawdown in Afghanistan, the need to prepare our forces for future missions and tough fiscal choices to keep our military strong and ready,Obama said. In Conversation The Rise of ISIS and the Origins of the New Middle East War by Tariq Ali and Patrick Cockburn Tariq Ali: I’m in conversation with Patrick Cockburn, who can only be described as a veteran reporter and courageous journalist who has covered the wars of the United States in the Middle East since they began with the invasion of Iraq, and was reporting from the region a long time before on the sanctions against Iraq, the Gulf Wars. We’re now at a critical stage where a new organisation has emerged. Patrick has written a new book, The Jihadis Return, which is an extended essay on the emergence of ISIS and its links to the Sunni population in Iraq and the likely consequences of this for the region. Because there’s absolutely no doubt that what this opens up is yet another front in the unending war that has become a total misery for the people who live in the Arab world today. Patrick, let’s begin by sort of inquiring about the origins of the Islamic State group, ISIS as they call themselv ...
A Death in Syria by Mark Steyn Steyn on the World November 20, 2014 53 In a few hours' time, the President of the United States will apparently do to his oath of office what the Islamic State does to its captives. As I said to Hugh Hewitt the other day, even a constitution of meticulously constructed checks and balances requires a certain seemliness of its political class. This Chief Executive is brazen in his lawlessness, and ever more so. And he has calculated that those who object lack the stomach to do anything about it. We shall see. However, I would like also to note another example of presidential brazenness this week - Barack Obama's reaction to the latest beheading of a US citizen by the head hackers of the Islamic State. Peter Kassig's death video was not as the others: David Haines and Alan Henning – both from Britain – and Americans James Foley and Steven Sotloff each made statements before their deaths in earlier videos. Each held Barack Obama or David Cameron to blame for their deaths, b ...

New debate over sea row seen at gab By MST News | Nov. 11, 2014 at 12:01am YANGON—Fresh diplomatic sparring over who owns what in the South China Sea is likely to break out this week at a major regional summit in Myanmar, after a year in which China jacked up tensions in the resource-rich waters. Rival claims have gnawed away at ties between Southeast Asian nations including Vietnam and the Philippines and regional powerhouse China, which claims nearly all of the sea, including waters near its smaller neighbours’ shores. The issue has also become a key testing ground for diplomacy between China and the United States, which has cosied up to the 10-member Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) as part of a wider eastwards foreign policy “pivot”. Leaders including US President Barack Obama, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will gather in Naypyidaw for the two-day ASEAN summit from Wednesday which also takes in an expanded list of dignitaries for the East Asi ...
KERRY DENIES + On the sidelines of the APEC summit in Beijing, John Kerry says there is no link between talks on Iran's nuclear program and other issues in the Middle East. The Wall Street Journal reported that Obama sent a letter to Iran's Supreme Leader, Ali Khamanei, describing their shared interests regarding Islamic State. "There is no linkage whatsoever of the nuclear discussions with any other issue, and I want to make that absolutely clear." "No one to my knowledge has confirmed or denied whether or not there is a letter or was a letter, and I'm not going to comment on what a president of the United States and the leader of another country may or may not communicate, may or may not communicate, privately."
From the heart of a peace-loving soldier who knows the cost of peace and freedom. "Well said, Bob McEwen - "When the police disappear in a city.or the peacemakers abandon their role.then chaos reigns. Beheadings, destruction of every Christian church in Iraq and Afghanistan; women sold into slavery are the results of a leaderless world. Britain handled its leadership role well until the 1930s. When it lacked the will and character to have the world follow, freedom chose a successor; the United States. The post WWII America handled its leadership role well.until now. Unless we choose leadership that believes in the principles of American Liberty and Justice.the world will choose our successor. We are beginning to see what the world will then be like. For those of us who ache at Washington turning its back on our friends.and defending our enemies, 'the Islamic State is not Islamic' we shudder at what is coming next. This time vote freedom. This time vote American." - Tyler Aman

Boehner, Romney and many others in our party don't seem to have a clue as to what is the proper role of America in other peoples country. Sadly, if you removed Putin from this equation and installed me in the role of Russian President, we still would have the same problem because the Russian Black Sea Fleet need a year round warm water port as a home base and Crimea is and has always been that warm water port for the Russian Fleet. As a Russian leader, that is not up for negotiations and I would find myself in total agreement as Russia Newest Leader. What would you have done under these circumstances? A ...
NSA Doc Reveals ISIS Leader Al-Baghdadi is U.S., British and Israeli Intelligence Asset note: The validity of the document mentioned below cannot be verified due to the exclusivity of the Snowden cache. Cryptome sent a letter to various sources in possession of the documents, including The New York Times, Washington Post, The Guardian, Barton Gellman, Laura Poitrias, Glenn Greenwald, ACLU, EFF and others demanding an accounting. The allegation about ISIS and al-Baghdadi, however, pairs up with other information demonstrating ISIS is an intelligence asset. According a document recently released by NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of ISIS, now the Islamic State, is an intelligence asset. The NSA document reveals the United States, Israel, and Britain are responsible for the creation of ISIS. Earlier this month Nabil Na’eem, the founder of the Islamic Democratic Jihad Party and former top al-Qaeda commander, told the Beirut-based pan-Arab TV station al-Maydeen all current ...
Those who ordered the bombing campaign are those who are behind the Caliphate Project. The Islamic State (IS) militia, continues to be supported covertly by the United States.
Retired Lt. Col. Oliver North claims that his sources have alerted him to a major, imminent threat. The Islamic State is planning a significant and barbarous attack against the United States embassy in Baghdad, Iraq. On the Fox News Channel’s “On the Record with Greta Van Susteren” North said that the leadership of the Islamic State is now largely composed of the former leaders of the Iraqi Republican Guard under Saddam Hussein.
With the Islamic State (IS) taking over swaths of land in Syria and Iraq, committing countless atrocities and war crimes as they do, it has rallied the international community against them. On Oct. 6 the House of Commons voted to join the United States-led coalition against IS in Iraq. Read more:
Wake Up Kiwi The Corporate US Government Are The Terrorists - The Islamic State Is A Big Lie September 27 2014 | From: Global Research Under the auspices of the United Nations Security Council, with President Obama chairing the Council session, the United States has called upon the international community to adopt strong measures, at national and international levels, to curtail the recruitment of Islamic State fighters. What is not mentioned in the media reports is that the heads of State and heads of government who have endorsed America’s campaign against the Islamic State, advised by their respective secret services, are fully aware that US intelligence is the unspoken architect of the Islamic State, which is part of a vast network of US supported “jihadist” terrorist entities. Countries are either coerced into supporting the US sponsored resolution or they are complicit in the US terror agenda. Lest we forget, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, have been financing and training the ISIL terrorists on behalf of ...
The Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) is warning today that a “strong contingent” of Islamic State (IS) “Ebola Martyrs” they had previously described in their 15 August report, and who are preparing to target the United States, have now reached the South American nation of Venezuela where at least 10 people have died showing symptoms of this feared disease during the past week. Important to note on how these “Ebola Martyrs” were able to enter Venezuela, this report says, is that IS has joined forces with the West African Islamic terror group Boko Haram to create a “Super Caliphate” they call “The Land of Alkinanana”, and which in turn, according to the Inter-University Centre for Terrorism Studies (IUCTS), is being funded by Latin American drug cartels.
Islamic terrorists have entered the United States through the Mexican border and Homeland Security sources tell Judicial Watch that four have been apprehended in the last 36 hours by federal authorities and the Texas Department of Public Safety in McAllen and Pharr. JW confirmed this after California Congressman Duncan Hunter, a former Marine Corp Major and member of the House Armed Services Committee, disclosed on national television that at least ten Islamic State of Iraq and Greater Syria (ISIS) fighters have been caught crossing the Mexican border in Texas. The veteran lawmaker got the astounding intel straight from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), the Homeland Security agency responsible for guarding the 1,933-mile southern border. “If you really want to protect Americans from ISIS, you secure the southern border,” Hunter proclaimed on a national cable news show this week. “It’s that simple. ISIS doesn’t have a navy, they don’t have an air force, they don’t have nuclear weapons ...
The U.S.-led coalition stepped up airstrikes around the Syrian border town of Kobane on Tuesday after Turkey appealed for help, enabling Kurdish fighters to reverse the advance of Islamic State militants for the first time since the extremists launched their assault about three weeks ago. The strikes followed the request by Turkey for intensified U.S. efforts to prevent the predominantly Kurdish town, known as Ayn al-Arab in Arabic, from falling to the Islamic State, Turkish officials said. Turkey has lined up tanks and troops within view of the Syrian Kurdish fighters defending Kobane but has not sought to intervene — for a tangle of reasons bound up with its complicated relationship with Kurds and its doubts about the goals of the international coalition fighting the extremists. Turkey insisted, however, that it does not want the town to fall, and a senior official said Ankara asked the United States on Monday to escalate strikes. “Turkey will not be content with the fall of Kobane into the hands of ...
Jimmy Carter, former President of the United States, recently spoke at the national convention of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), where he encouraged his listeners to donate to ISNA and to use the "principles of Allah" to bring justice to oppressed people. Of course, ISNA has ties to both the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas, so we can only wonder where the funds will go. And since Muhammad commanded his followers to oppress women and non-muslims, it isn't clear how the "principles of Allah" will help anyone except groups like the Islamic State.
The Pakistani Taliban declared allegiance to Islamic State on Saturday and ordered militants across the region to help the Middle Eastern jihadist group in its campaign to set up a global Islamic Caliphate. Islamic State, which controls swathes of land in Syria and Iraq, has been making inroads into South Asia, which has traditionally been dominated by local Taliban insurgencies against both the Pakistan and Afghanistan governments. The announcement comes after a September move by Al Qaeda chief, Ayman al-Zawahri, to name former Taliban commander Asim Umar as the "emir" of a new South Asia branch of the network that masterminded the 2001 attacks on the United States. Although there is little evidence of a firm alliance yet between IS and Al Qaeda-linked Taliban commanders, IS activists have been spotted recently in the Pakistani city of Peshawar distributing pamphlets praising the group. IS flags have also been seen at street rallies in Indian-administered Kashmir. The trend has been of growing concern to ...

ISIS CONFIRMED IN MEXICO AND READY TO CROSS BORDER INTO United StateS NTEB News Desk | August 30, 2014 | 46 Comments IS OBAMA PURPOSELY DOING NOTHING TO ALLOW ISIS ACCESS TO AMERICA? Islamic terrorist groups are operating in the Mexican border city of Ciudad Juarez and planning to attack the United States with car bombs or other vehicle born improvised explosive devices (VBIED). High-level federal law enforcement, intelligence and other sources have confirmed to Judicial Watch that a warning bulletin for an imminent terrorist attack on the border has been issued. Agents across a number of Homeland Security, Justice and Defense agencies have all been placed on alert and instructed to aggressively work all possible leads and sources concerning this imminent terrorist threat. “It’s coming very soon,” according to this high-level source, who clearly identified the groups planning the plots as “ISIS and Al Qaeda.” Specifically, Judicial Watch sources reveal that the militant group Islamic State of I ...
ISIS leader: Behead Westerners The leader specifically called for lone-wolf attacks in the United States and France -- two countries that have been conducting airstrikes against ISIS in Iraq. The U.S. State Department had no comment to CNN when asked about the message Sunday night. "Hinder those who want to harm your brothers," the ISIS spokesman said. "The best thing you can do is to strive to your best and kill any disbeliever, whether he be French, American or from any of their allies." Civilians should not be exempt from brutality, he said. "Do not ask for anyone's advice and do not seek anyone's verdict. Kill the disbeliever whether he is civilian or military, for they have the same ruling. Both of them are disbelievers. Both of them are considered to be waging war." "Oh Americans, and oh Europeans, the Islamic State did not initiate a war against you, as your governments and media try to make you believe," the ISIS spokesman added. "It is you who started the transgression against us, and thus you de ...

Members of the Australian Kurdish Association Sydney rallied outside NSW Parliament House today to highlight "atrocities" against Kurdish people at the hands of Islamic State. Merrylands resident Saadet Ozdemir, one of about 300 who attended the protest from midday, said while there has been a lot of media coverage on IS, there had been ‘‘scant reporting’’ on the genocide of the Rojava people – a Kurdish group in northern Syria. ‘‘The intent and purpose behind this was to get the information out there to people in the city at lunchtime, to raise awareness to the plight of the 400,000 refugees who have fled since September 18 from the Kobane region of Syria to get to Turkey and Jordan,’’ Ms Ozdemir said. She said the Yazidi Kurds were ‘‘still suffering’’, with women ‘‘being sold at the market and being systematically raped’’. "We want these people to be able to live with dignity and justice." She also said the Australian and United States Governments still list the Kurdis ...

DO YOUSE BUY THIS? Bratton, De Blasio Reassure New Yorkers They’re Safe Following Alleged ISIS Subway Terror Plot Mayor: Terrorists Want Us To Live In Fear; We Refuse To Live In Fear New York (CBSNewYork/AP) – Iraq’s Prime Minister said Thursday that captive Islamic State militants told his intelligence agents of an alleged plot to attack subways in the United States and Paris, France. Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi said he was told of the purported plot by officials in Baghdad, and that it was the work of foreign fighters who had joined the Islamic State group in Iraq, including French and U.S. nationals. Al-Abadi’s assertion has not be independently confirmed by U.S. government intelligence. Asked if the attacks were imminent, he said, “I’m not sure.” Asked if the attacks had been thwarted, he said, “No, it has not been disrupted yet— this is a network.” “Today, while I’m here I’m receiving accurate reports from Baghdad that there were arrests of a few elements and there were n ...
Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. said the concerns about Khorasan were behind a decision last summer to ban uncharged laptop computers and cellphones from some United States- bound commercial airliners. The air campaign against Khorasan and the Islamic State got underway even as Mr. Obama flew to New York to meet with world leaders gathering at the opening session of the United Nations General Assembly. Mr. Obama did not seek United Nations permission for the military campaign, but he presented the strikes as the collaboration of a multinational coalition that included five Arab nations: Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Bahrain. “Because of the almost unprecedented effort of this coalition, I think we now have an opportunity to send a very clear message that the world is united,” Mr. Obama said during a hastily arranged photo opportunity in New York with Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi of Iraq, King Abdullah II of Jordan and representatives of the other Arab allies. *Pentagon: F-22s used in combat for first time in Syria* This week’s strike against Islamic State militants in Syria by the United States marked the first time that the Pentagon has deployed its F-22 Raptor jets into combat, the Defense Department acknowledged on Tuesday. Lt. Gen. William Mayville, the director of ops for the Joint Chiefs of Staff, acknowledged during a Department of Defense briefing on Tuesday morning that the strikes launched by the US hours earlier were the first ever to involve F-22s — a fifth-generation aircraft that’s capable of dropping precisions bombs on targets from 15 miles away. “What we were looking at were the effects we wanted to see on the target areas and what platforms in the region would be best suited to do that,” Mayville told reporters at the Pentagon. “We had a large menu of targets to strike from and we chose from there. Really it’s less the platform then the effects we seek.” The fighter jets have previously been deployed to Asia and the Middle Eas ...
WASHINGTON — American forces took advantage of the airstrikes against the Islamic State extremist group in Syria to try to simultaneously wipe out the leadership of an unrelated cell of veterans of Al Qaeda that the White House said Tuesday was plotting an “imminent” attack against the United States or Europe. The barrage of bombs and missiles launched into Syria early Tuesday was aimed primarily at crippling the Islamic State, the formidable Sunni organization that has seized a large piece of territory to form its own radical enclave. But the blitz also targeted a little-known network called Khorasan, in hopes of paralyzing it before it could carry out what American officials feared would be a terrorist attack in the West. American military and intelligence analysts were still studying damage reports from the initial air assault, but senior Obama administration officials expressed hope that they had killed Muhsin al-Fadhli, the leader of Khorasan and a onetime confidant of Osama Bin Laden. The offi ...

Latest from Golan Heights Collapse of UN peacekeeping mission on Golan Heights marks new era on Israel-Syria front ARON HELLER The Associated Press Published Thursday, Sep. 18 2014, 3:58 AM EDT Last updated Thursday, Sep. 18 2014, 5:13 AM EDT For four decades, a multinational United Nations mission has quietly monitored the sleepy Golan Heights — providing a symbol of stability between bitter enemies as it enforced a truce between Israel and Syria. But as Syria has plunged into civil war and the peacekeepers themselves have become targets of al-Qaeda-linked rebels, the UN observer force has begun to fall apart, leaving its future — and the prospects for ever establishing peace in this rugged area of the Middle East — in doubt. Debating just-war theory in light of Islamic State and past Iraqi wars WASHINGTON (CNS) — In the days that followed Pope Francis’ Aug. 18 remarks on U.S. airstrikes earlier in the month against Islamic State, the buzz was about whether the pope had actually given his consent to them. The more sobering post-buzz reality is how one stops what, in the pontiff’s words, is an “unjust aggressor.” Does the United States go in, alone or as part of a broader coalition of nations? Or, to use the language of just-war theory, is the United Nations the “competent authority” to judge these particulars? Pope Francis appeared to endorse the U.N. during his in-flight news conference returning to the Vatican from South Korea. “A single nation cannot judge how to stop this, how to stop an unjust aggressor. After the Second World War, there arose the idea of the United Nations. That is where we should discuss: ‘Is there an unjust aggressor? It seems there is. How do we stop him?’” he said. “The U.N. c ...

President Barack Obama says the United States will continue to confront Islamic State extremists despite the brutal murder of journalist James Foley.
President Barack Obama said Wednesday the United States will be relentless in seeking justice for an American journalist beheaded by terrorist group the Islamic State.
Threats to America often come with warnings. Hitler wrote Mein Kampf and the Nazis explicitly detailed their plans for the world. The Communists of Korea and Vietnam were explicit in their own threats to our allies. Osama Bin Laden spent a decade threatening the United States via terror attacks and videos. Today, the Islamic State is in the news with a grisly beheading of an American journalist. Their message is not complex or inaccessible- it is literally a kindergarten-level promise to kill us, divide our nation in two and create an ill-defined Islamic Caliphate that will by their own declaration threaten the United States, the American way of life and our allies. Their message is no different than the bombast of Goebbels- they threaten us and they will attack us given the opportunity. The Islamic State isn't as crisp and defined as Nazi Germany or Communist North Korea, but it's certainly a state. They have an organized government, an organized army and an organized political objective. They cannot be ...

This article by Hal Lindsey was emailed to me by a friend, and I believe it is very important that people read this. The more I hear about this Islamic State group reminds me of the film 2016 where Dinesh D’Souza warned that one of Obama’s goals is to create a United States of Islamic Nations. ISIS Rising By Hal Lindsey With all of our attention focused on Israel lately, and rightly so, it may be shocking to learn that there are dramatic – actually catastrophic – events happening elsewhere in the Middle East. On Thursday, President Obama announced that he had decided to approve the airdrop of humanitarian supplies of food and water to almost 40,000 encircled and besieged Yazidi refugees stranded on Mt. Sinjar in Iraq. He also indicated that he had approved the use of “limited” air strikes by U.S. forces against the aggressor ISIS forces that seek to annihilate them. "The Caliphate" war crimes increase: Yazidis, Turkomen, executed, Assyrians ethnic cleansed, in Northern Iraq... Amidst a heavy silence by the UN and a heavier silence by Governments in Washington and European capitals, the so-called "Caliphate" of the "Islamic State", formerly known as ISIS-Daesh, is resuming its ethnic cleansing beyond Mosul. These war crimes, according to multiple NGOs reporting to date, include uprooting tens of thousands of civilians from the Christian, Yazidi, Turkomen and other small communities around the Nineveh Plains and throughout Sinjar district. NGO reports have confirmed that Yazidi men are being executed, women and children captured, some women raped, and families robbed. Hundred thousand Yazidi have flocked to the mountains, while Kurdish forces are barely able to slow down the advance of the Jihadi Terror forces. An Iranian intervention would be catastrophic. The news from the Holy Land gets more depressing and serious all the time: Israel and Palestine are at each others' throats (again); Egypt is unstable; Afghanistan continues to be a troubled land as is Iraq. Into this mix comes the inhuman murderous Islamists. The Islamists are fighting amongst themselves trying to claim land and declare a new Islamic State overriding the borders of Jordan, Syria and Iraq, as well as aggravating issues in Lebanon and Yemen. Fuelling this spreading conflict are the Saudis and Qataris. Here's my big concern: While Israel masses troops on the Palestinian border, there's now a glaring opportunity for the Islamists to achieve their centuries-old stated aim of obliterating the Jewish State, by mounting an attack from the east and south of Israel. What will that mean? Will the United States stand by and watch? Such a move has only one outcome (assuming the Americans don't stand by): War.
Can ISIS be Saved? For the past few weeks the eyes of the World have been focused once again on the latest threat to peace in the Middle East. We have watched the rise of the new militant terrorist group ISIS make it’s way from Syria across Iraq. ISIS has shown no mercy whatsoever to those who stand in it’s way of forming a new Islamic state or khalifah. Reports of the worst types of brutality are surfacing daily. When it comes to torture, pillage, beheadings, or other types of atrocities, ISIS excels them all. Just today I read a report of beheadings, heads on sticks in the streets, and women being raped. Even Al Qaeda, out of concern for its own image, has distanced itself from this notorious and barbarous group. America is now responding to ISIS threat that it fully intends to bring death and destruction to our own shores. Heightened airport security measures are being introduced for all flights entering the United States. Reports like these cause grave concern and rightly so. No one wants to be th ...
