Not Boko Harm. Not al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula or the Maghreb. Repping the ol' Islamic State of Iraq and Syria
Middle East News: The Arab Spring has already deposed leaders like Zine El Abidine Bin Ali of Tunisia, Hosni Mubarak in Egypt, and Muammar Gaddafi in Libya. Syria's Bashar al-Assad is tenaciously holding on to power while rebels continue to fight for control of the country. The Islamic State (of Iraq and Syria), under nominal control of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, challenges the very concept of statehood. They intend to install a new caliphate across the entire region. In short, Southwest Asia is an absolute mess. Now this . . . The government of Yemen, which had the full support of the United States government, has fled in the face of a rival Shia Houthi insurgency. (Most of the Arabian Peninsula follows Sunni Islam.) Western states like France fear a new failed state, one where chaos reigns and Islamic terrorism is exported, much like the Charlie Hebdo attacks in Paris. Add to this mix the just-announced death of Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah and one can find the world's most problematic political geography .. ...
Cheeky co-opting by Islamic State, given US-assassinated al-Awlaki was Al Qaeda in Arabian Peninsula (which has slammed IS in recent months)
SUPPOSE ISLAM HAD A HOLOCAUST AND NO ONE NOTICED "While Western newspapers were debating whether or not to reprint the Mohammed cartoons, in Nigeria as many as 2,000 people were massacred by the Islamic State in Nigeria, also known as Boko Haram, in what is being called the deadliest attack by the Muslim group to date. Survivors described the Islamic State setting up efficient killing teams and massacring everyone while shouting “Allahu Akbar”. "For five kilometers (three miles), I kept stepping on dead bodies until I reached Malam Karanti village, which was also deserted and burnt," one survivor said. There’s a word for that. It’s genocide. The Islamic State in Nigeria had reportedly managed to kill 2,000 people last year. This year they did it in one week. But we don’t pay much attention to what happens in Nigeria unless there’s a hashtag. No one has yet thought up a clever hashtag for the murder of 2,000 people. doesn’t really work. The Islamic State’s next target is Maiduguri, the larg ...
The three suspects involved in the attacks claim they had links to Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula and the so-called Islamic State.
There is now a "real competition" in Yemen between Islamic State and Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula:
“Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort.” – Article Three, Section Three, U.S. Constitution. Given the fact that one of the suspects, Said Kouachi, in the Paris killings had traveled to Yemen in 2011 and that Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula has claimed responsibility for the killings, does it strike anyone as strange that Obama set free five Yemeni detainees out of Guantanomo Bay? Four were sent to Oman, a nation that neighbors Yemen. A fifth was transferred to Estonia. It was the first time either nation had accepted Gitmo prisoners for resettlement. Does anyone think that the five Afghan Taliban leaders Obama set free last year are still in Qatar? Among the things Obama will be remembered for will be his promise to close Gitmo and these releases of U.S. enemies. Since when is freeing Islamic terrorists to return to the battlefield not giving aid and comfort to the enemy? Well, it is not if yo ...

The attackers-identified as Said Kouachi and Cherif Kouachi-he said were acting on the orders of Ayman al Zawahiri, the global commander of al-Qaida, while Amedy Coulibaly, who is accused of killing a policewoman and four people at a kosher supermarket in Paris, said he was coordinating tactics with the two brothers is said to have be associated with Islamic State, ISIS. In the message, entitled “A message regarding the blessed battle of Paris,” al-Ansi said: “We, Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, claim responsibility for this operation as vengeance for the messenger of Allah. Why ISIS is spreading across Muslim world By Peter Bergen and Emily Schneider November 19, 2014 -- Updated 2011 GMT (0411 HKT) (CNN) -- In the many media stories about the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, much of the focus has rightly been on the thousands of foreign fighters ISIS has attracted, its brutal tactics and its robust social media presence. But an arguably even more important development has not received the attention it deserves: the group's widening influence across the Muslim world, driven by the numerous terrorist and insurgent organizations that have recently sworn loyalty to it. Peter Bergen Peter Bergen In the past six months, ISIS has drawn into its fold some dozen groups from Algeria to Pakistan. Al Qaeda, in contrast, had been in existence for a decade before it recruited its first affiliate, Egypt's Jihad Group, in 1998. And, in its 2½-decade existence, Al Qaeda has only manged to add some half dozen affiliates, one of which was Al Qaeda in Iraq, the parent organization of ISIS that ...

The Izadi (Yazidi) religious community in Iraq is facing the biggest threat to its existence since 1802 when an army of Salafists from the Arabian Peninsula tried to wipe them off. This time the plan for genocide comes from the so-called Islamic State of the self-appointed Caliph Ibrahim. The Izadi faith is an offshoot of Zoroastrianism, the religion of ancient Iran mixed with old Assyrian motifs with a sprinkling of Islam used as cultural camouflage against fanatical enemies. In 1988 I helped Emir Ismail, the leader of the Yazidis, at the time in exile in Paris from Saddam Hussein, to write a book on the community's history and beliefs. The title of the English version of the book is " To Us Spoke Zarathustra". It presents the Izadis as a peaceful community with deep spirituality. Today, the Izadis are facing ruthless killers masquerading as champions of Islam.
FOR ANYONE WHO BELIEVES THERE IS 2 SIDES TO ALL STORIES. YOU GET/READ/TALK ABOUT/and take an opinion on 1 side...here is a little of the INFO YOU WILL NEVER BE TOLD ABOUT ! THIS IS ONE OF OUR SCHOLAR'S SPEAKING ON TERRORISM... ISIS is a Terrorist Organization!, explained by Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Haadee al-Madkhalee (hafidhahullaah 'ala as-Sunnah) Shaykh Muhammad bin Haadee said: "...Thus this is deception, and this is beguilement of our children and our youth. They take the children and use them to push forward to the various locations - (to) fierce battles! Only Allaah knows what has occurred therein! No, what is more than that: these very groups which call themselves 'Jihaad groups' are warring against each other! The group ISIS (Islamic State in Iraq and Syria) is fighting the group ISIJ (Islamic State in Iraq and Arabian Peninsula) while the group ISIJ is fighting Al-Qaeda! And I don't know who Al-Qaeda is fighting! Killing and fighting! This is their condition. We ourselves have seen this with our own ...
The real major battles and wars of the prophet (peace be upon him) and his companions (sahaba) started after the proclamation of the Islamic State in Medina (former Yathrib), like Badr, Uhud, Khandaq and which lead to the Fatha of Mecca, the final victory of capturing the Arabian Peninsula (Jaziratul Arab), but still the jihad did not stop until today, they liberated and defeated the Persian Emprie and the Byzantine Empire (Ar-Rum). Then Islam became very powerful and was was dominating for many centures and the muslims rules the then known world. But then it went backward, its power declines, because of more than 1000 years of crusader wars against us and because of internal weaknes caused by the deviant groups and hypocrites and apostates such as the shi'a until it lead to the downfall of the last khilafah beginning in 1917 the First World War and culminating in 1924. Now the revival and awakening is going on alhamdulilah and inshaa'Allah within 100 years after the last Khilafah, so before 2024 we will ...
Will the bubble burst under Goodluck Jonathan? By: Enifeni Oluwadamilola The title of this article was gotten from the story of the the early Islamic Empire and the notion of the Ideal Islamic State and how it ended under Ali ibn abu talib. It was he got the blame for the collapse of the ideal Islamic State as laid down by the Holy Prophet s.a.w. Lets quickly go down through the cannel of history and examine the Ideal Islamic State and make a comparism with it with the ideal fragmented Nigerian State. Early ISLAMIC HISTORY/Early Nigerian History According to Bernard Lewis in his book “The Arabs In History” explained how the Prophet got the revelation from God almighty and how he was able to inspire through his teachings and morals to gain adherents among his fellow countrymen. Early Islamic history according to Bernard Lewis was a rough one, witnessing series of hostilities among the inhabitants of the Arabian Peninsula. But with great determination and according to the Prophets teachings of divine he ...
Virtues from the Qur'an Who and how were the Sahabas? This is like asking "How many stars are there in the universe?" . Yes, No exaggeration! The Sahaabas or the companions of the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) were not an ordinary group of people; they were an extraordinary group of people. Individual as well as collective stories (of them) can be found of perseverance, hardship, sacrifice, steadfastness, unwavering iman, taqwa and tawakkul all rolled up in one when we look at what the Sahaba's went through with the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam during the early days of the dawa' in Makkah to the latter days of the Prophet's sallallahu alaihi wa sallam life when Islam was established in Madina and the subsequent expansion of the Islamic State through the whole of the Arabian peninsula and the remaining part of the world. There are thousands of Books written by scores of scholars since 1434 years, beautifully and elegantly describing the sahaaba's character, virtues and example. A single short article l ...

How Islam changed medicine (British Medical Journal) Azeem Majeed, professor of primary care Arab physicians and scholars laid the basis for medical practice in Europe. Islamic civilisation once extended from India in the east to the Atlantic Ocean in the west. Buildings in Andalusia such as the Alhambra in Granada, the Mezquita in Cordoba, and the Giralda in Seville are reminders of the architectural imprint this civilisation left on western Europe. Less well remembered, however, is the impact of Islamic civilisation on Western science, technology, and medicine between the years 800 and 1450. As was argued this month at the Royal Institution, today's Western world might look very different without the legacy of Muslim scholars in Baghdad, Cairo, Cordoba, and elsewhere. As Islam spread out of the Arabian Peninsula into Syria, Egypt, and Iran it met long established civilisations and centres of learning. Arab scholars translated philosophical and scientific works from Greek, Syriac (the language of eastern ...
