Islamic State & Abu Bakr

An Islamic state is a type of government, in which the primary basis for government is Islamic religious law. Abu Bakr (Abdullah ibn Abi Quhafa) (c. 573 CE - 634 CE) also known as Abū Bakr as-Șiddīq (Arabic: أبو بكر الصديق) was a senior companion (Sahabi) and the father-in-law of the Islamic Prophet Muhammad. 5.0/5

Middle East News: The Arab Spring has already deposed leaders like Zine El Abidine Bin Ali of Tunisia, Hosni Mubarak in Egypt, and Muammar Gaddafi in Libya. Syria's Bashar al-Assad is tenaciously holding on to power while rebels continue to fight for control of the country. The Islamic State (of Iraq and Syria), under nominal control of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, challenges the very concept of statehood. They intend to install a new caliphate across the entire region. In short, Southwest Asia is an absolute mess. Now this . . . The government of Yemen, which had the full support of the United States government, has fled in the face of a rival Shia Houthi insurgency. (Most of the Arabian Peninsula follows Sunni Islam.) Western states like France fear a new failed state, one where chaos reigns and Islamic terrorism is exported, much like the Charlie Hebdo attacks in Paris. (ANSAmed) - TEL AVIV, DECEMBER 18 - Islamic State (ISIS) forces are now in the Golan Heights area near Syria's border with Israel, reported Haaretz in quoting Arab media outlets on Thursday. The daily noted that three local jihadist groups fighting the Assad regime in the southern Golan had pledged allegiance this week to ISIS and its leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. The three groups, reported the sources, are Shuhada Al-Yarmouk, the Abu Mohammed Al-Tilawi Brigade and Bayt Al-Maqdis. All three are said to be concentrated around Deraa, the city in southern Syria where the uprising against President Bashar Al-Assad's regime began. The city is several dozen kilometers from the Israel border but - reports Haaretz - some of the fighters have taken up positions only a few kilometers from the border. 1-The first caliph. ABU BAKR (R.A) "If I were to take a friend other than my Lord, I would take Abu Bakr as a friend." (Hadith) Election to the Caliphate The Prophet's closest Companion, Abu Bakr, was not present when the Holy Prophet (peace be on him) breathed his last in the apartment of his beloved wife of later years, Aisha, Abu Bakr's daughter. When he came to know of the Prophet's passing, Abu Bakr hurried to the house of sorrow. "How blessed was your life and how beatific is your death," he whispered as he kissed the cheek of his beloved friend and master who now was no more. When Abu Bakr came out of the Prophet's apartment and broke the news, disbelief and dismay gripped the community of Muslims in Medina. Muhammad (peace be on him) had been the leader, the guide and the bearer of Divine revelation through whom they had been brought from idolatry and barbarism into the way of God. How could he die? Dear Muslim Parent, SALAAMS! You cannot but be aware that these are troubling times for the ummah¯in India, across the globe, and especially in Muslim majority countries. What does Islam teach, what do Muslims want? That is the question the world seems to be asking. You could of course take the view, as many do, that the question itself reeks of prejudice against Muslims and their faith. So nothing further needs to be said. Or, you could begin by acknowledging that, as lived faith, there are many Islams. And that some of them present a very ugly picture of their faith. What does the Gita teach? It depends on whether it is Mahatma Gandhi or Nathuram Godse addressing the question. So is the case with the Quran. It depends on whether you listen to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad or Osama Bin Laden. So, do not get defensive. Four young Muslim men from Kalyan, near Mumbai, fly off to Syria to join the jihad launched by the Islamic State. It is headed by Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, a man who proclaims himself caliph, direct ...
SEVEN ISIS FACTS EVERY AMERICAN SHOULD KNOW: ★1. ISIS Began in the 1990s While the Islamic State may be new to some Americans, as The Atlantic notes, “The group that recently renamed itself simply ‘Islamic State’ has existed under various names and in various shapes since the early 1990s.” The Washington Institute for Near East Policy notes that in its 1999 incarnation, ISIS was known as Jamaat al-Tawhid wa-l-Jihad (JTWJ). ★2. ISIS is Led by a Man Released from a U.S. Detention Camp in 2009 The leader of ISIS is Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. Courtesy Sister Shabnam Hashmi - Indian Muslims Condemn the Brutal Atrocities by ISIS against Minorities in Iraq and Syria; denounce religious intolerance, persecution and violence in the name of Islam Indian Muslims are shocked and pained by the brutality and atrocities being perpetrated by the ISIS (Islamic State of Syria and Iraq) against Christians, Shias, Kurds, Yazidis and other minorities in the regions now under their control. We strongly condemn such barbarism which is against the teachings of Islam. We express our heart-felt sympathies and solidarity with the survivors of those whose near and dear ones have been mercilessly butchered, and the tens of thousands of Iraq’s minorities who have been dispossessed, forced to flee their homes and are now living in extremely difficult circumstances. My thoughts. Islam is on the march again. Muslims groups in various parts of the world engage in kidnapping, rape and murder of other muslins or apostolate Christians or anyone else that dare not to except Islam or the Islam shariah version. Still today the world silently except public stoning of women. Our western leaders are seen posing smiling with leaders from Islamic countries were women are lashed for a small infraction like arguing with a police man. How shocked we were when video’s were shown of the beheading of an American photo reporter held captive for several years by the terrorist group Islamic State of Iraq and Syria. However innocent unarmed men, children and some women are being beheaded or shot to death by the thousands in northern Syria and Northern Iraq for ever since the last GI left the region. Women are hauled of and kept or sold as sex slaves, by the Islamic Holy Warriors. We remained silent. Understandable. Our government could have prevented the killings and blood letting. Found ...

21st century Jehaad of Baghdaadi on the foot steps of 6th century jehaad-- On one of the Islamic State's question-and-answer websites, some asked why it was "not fighting Israel but instead shedding the blood of the sons of Iraq and Syria." The new caliphate responded: The greater answer is in the noble Koran, when Allah Almighty speaks about the near enemy. In the majority of verses in the noble Koran, these are the hypocrites, for they pose a greater danger than the original infidels [born non-Muslims, e.g., Jews and Christians]. And the answer is found in Abu Bakr al-Sadiq, when he preferred fighting apostates over the conquest of Jerusalem [fath al-Quds], which was conquered by his successor, Omar al-Khattab.
The time of black banners? The black banner-bearing ISIS has declared a caliphate state in Syria and Mesopotamia with their Caliph as Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi. The difference between ISIS and other groups spreading terror supposedly in the name of Islam is that ISIS was described 1,400 years ago in the hadiths of our Prophet (saas). Our Prophet (saas) foretold of 'disputes among Syrians,' 'followed by the appearance of black banner-bearers' and 'fear in the month of Ramadan' as three portents of the End Times in numerous hadiths. These three portents are coming about today. Founded under the leadership of Abu Musa al-Zarkawi in 2004, the organization joined Al-Qaeda, after which it changed its name to Al-Qaeda in Iraq (Mesopotamia). The number of militants has risen to around 15,000; that number was only around 1000 as America was pulling out in 2011. Al-Zarkawi was killed by the U.S. in 2006. The current leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi (Abu Dua), took over in 2010. With al-Baghdadi at the helm, the organization ...
The only time the polite, bespectacled student shone was on the football field, while playing for the team from the local mosque. “He was the Messi of our team,” said Abu Ali, a fellow player and worshipper at the mosque, making comparison with the Lionel Messi, the Argentinian striker. “He was our best player.” Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the impressive striker, is now one of the world’s most wanted jihadist leaders. In interviews with the Telegraph, contemporaries of Baghdadi trace the life of a man who went from being a shy religious scholar who eschewed violence, to one a infamously dangerous extremists, self-appointed caliph and reputed heir to Osama Bin Laden. Born Ibrahim Awad Ibrahim al-Badri to a family of preachers, the now leader of the Islamic State, lived his childhood in the Sunni heartland town of Samarra north of Baghdad. The Caliphate Fantasy, by Khaled Diab (NYT) The jihadist insurgent group ISIS, or as it now prefers to be called, the Islamic State, appears well on the road to achieving its stated goal: the restoration of the caliphate. The concept, which refers to an Islamic state presided over by a leader with both political and religious authority, dates from the various Muslim empires that followed the time of the Prophet Muhammad. From the seventh century onward, the caliph was, literally, his “successor.” The problem with this new caliphate, which, an ISIS spokesman claimed on Sunday, had been established under Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, an Islamist militant leader since the early days of the American occupation of Iraq, is that it is ahistorical, to say the least. The Abbasid caliphate, for example, which ruled from 750 to 1258, was an impressively dynamic and diverse empire. Centered in Baghdad, just down the road from where ISIS is occupying large areas of Iraq, the Abbasid caliphate was centuries ahead of Mr. B ...

Thus, the turn of each wife fell on every nineth day. However, they all used to gather in the house of the one whose turn it was to have coitus with the prophet. It was the night of Aisha (the youngest wife) when Zainab (a pretty wife) came there. The Prophet stretched his hand towards her. As Aisha noticed it, she said “It is Zainab.” So, he withdrew his hand. The two wives got involved into an altercation, which gradually became louder and lasted till early morning when Adhan (Iqama) was announced for prayers. (As usual) Abu Bakr, father of Aisha called to accompany the Prophet to the mosque. He said, “Messenger of Allah, come for prayer, and throw dust in their mouths.” Death is just an insignificant word for them," begins the report in News of 28 November, 1997 on the annual gathering of the Mujahidin-e-Taiba. "Killing those who do not share their set of Islamic values is the only reality. The congregation was flooded with thousands of people with these beliefs..." "And the massive gather ...
Who or what is ISIS? The group has used several different names since its formation in early 2004 as Jama'at al-Tawhid wal-Jihad, "The Organization of Monotheism and Jihad" . In October 2004, the group's then leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi swore loyalty to Osama Bin Laden. Zarqawi then changed the name of the group to Tanzim Qaidat al-Jihad fi Bilad al-Rafidayn, "The Organization of Jihad's Base in the Country of the Two Rivers" (TQJBR), more commonly translated as "Al-Qaeda in Iraq" In January 2006, the group merged with several smaller Iraqi insurgent groups under an umbrella organization called the Mujahideen Shura Council. On 12 October 2006, the Mujahideen Shura Council joined with four other insurgent factions and representatives of a number of Iraqi tribes in a pact called Hilf al-Mutayibeen, "The Oath of the Scented Ones". Al-Qaida militants' Fallujah attack testifies to group's growing power DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — The capture of the Iraqi city of Fallujah by al-Qaida-linked militants over the weekend fulfilled a pledge by the group's leader made six months ago. It's also confirmed his strength. We're "here to stay," Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi said in a June audio statement, vowing to erase the Western-imposed border with Syria, where guerrillas of his Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant are also fighting. He called on followers to "tear apart" the governments in both countries and their regional backers. More than seven years after U.S. forces dealt a major blow to al-Qaida in Iraq by killing its chief, Abu Musab Al-Zarqawi, al-Baghdadi's ISIL is emerging as the most powerful Sunni militant force in the region. Luring fighters from the region with a call for Holy War, the strength of ISIL had eclipsed that of the U.S.-backed rebels fighting Syrian President Bashar Assad before opponents started to push back late last y ...
More on the Looming Syrian Morass By Larry Johnson Each day brings a new revelation or insight into the briar patch that is Syria. The latest, courtesy of the Foreign Policy Research Institute, highlights an apparent rift between Al Qaeda in Iraq (aka Islamic State of Iraq aka ISI) and the “real” Al Qaeda,” which is now under the so-called leadership of Ayman Zawahiri: Two months ago, the Islamic State of Iraq (ISI – Al Qaeda’s Iraqi affiliate) announced its merger with Jabhat al-Nusra – the dominant Syrian jihadi militia fighting to overthrow the Assad regime. While the merger didn’t come as a surprise to most analysts of Al Qaeda, the regional consolidation did come as quite a surprise to one person in particular-–Al Qaeda’s leader Ayman al-Zawahiri. It turned out Zawahiri and Al Qaeda’s central leadership in Pakistan were not consulted when Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi decided to annex the rising Syrian jihadi group. His immediate task was to avenge a recent defeat by Byzantine forces, although he first had to put down a rebellion by Arab tribes in an episode known as the Ridda wars, or "Wars of Apostasy".[136] The Quran was compiled into a one book at this time. His death in 634 resulted in the succession of Umar ibn al-Khattab as the caliph, followed by Uthman ibn al-Affan, Ali ibn Abi Talib and Hasan ibn Ali. The first caliphs are known as al-khulafā' ar-rāshidūn ("Rightly Guided Caliphs"). Under them, the territory under Muslim rule expanded deeply into the Persian and Byzantine territories.[137] When Umar was assassinated by Persians in 644, the election of Uthman as successor was met with increasing opposition. The standard copies of the Quran were also distributed throughout the Islamic State. In 656, Uthman was also ...
Shia Muslims believe that just as a prophet is appointed by God alone, only Go Successors of Muhammad Sunnis believe that Abu Bakr, the father of Muhammad's wife Aisha, was Muhammad's rightful successor and that the method of choosing or electing leaders (Shura) endorsed by the Quran is the consensus of the Ummah, (the Muslim community). Shiites believe that Muhammad divinely ordained his cousin and son-in-law Ali (the father of his grandsons Hasan ibn Ali and Hussein ibn Ali) in accordance with the command of God to be the next caliph making Ali and his direct descendants Muhammad's successors. Ali was married to Fatimah, Muhammad's daughter. Muhammad's wife Aisha endorsed her father Abu Bakr as the successor to Muhammad. In the Battle of the Camel (656), Aisha opposed her step son-in-law Ali outside the city of Basra because she wanted justice on the perpetrators of the assassination of the previous caliph, Uthman. Aisha's forces were defeated and the Prophet's widow was respectfully escorted back to Me ...

*Al-Baraa ibn Malik* Al-Baraa was one the prophet's (saw) companions. He is the brother of Anas ibn Malik. Al-Baraa' was thin and wiry with so little flesh on his bones, yet in single handed combats he defeated and killed many opponents, and in the midst of battles he was an outstanding fighter against the non-believers. He was so courageous and daring that 'Umar who was the Khalifa at that time, once wrote to his governors throughout the Islamic State that they should not appoint him to lead any army, fearing that he might have them all killed by his daring exploits. Abu Bakr to dispatch another army led by Khalid Ibn al-Waleed. This army included the best and most courageous of the Sahabah from both the Muhajirin and the Ansar. In the front ranks of this army was our hero al-Baraa' Ibn Malik, who could not wait for the call of the jihad by Khalid Ibn al-Waleed the leader of the army, as he was looking for the best spot where he wished to perhaps be granted martyrdom by Allah (swt). Al-Baraa' then called ...
*** Life And Death Are Divine *** This means only Allaah (SWT) can cause death and only Allaah (SWT) can keep life going. If one really understands this fundamental truth, fear and panic of death would not coexist in his heart and mind. "Look for death, and life shall be given to you," the LION, Abu Bakr (RAA) -- within a capacity of being a Caliph of the young Islamic State in Madeenah -- used to remind the Army of before it went on the mission of Carrying Islaam to humanity, in case they had to utilize "Hard Power," which is the second element of the State's Foreign Policy, should "Soft Power," the first element of the State's Foreign Policy failed.
