My friend, Eric is coming to visit me this weekend and wants to watch the British & Irish Lions final game against Australia (Rugby) tomorrow morning at 1105am. It is showing on Sky Sports but unfortunately I do not have this channel. Does anyone know of any local pubs around Glenrothes/ Kirkcaldy area that would be showing this game? Thanks guys xx

What a great weekend for all "Armchair Athletes" out there. The British and Irish Lions play Australia (series linked the other games on Sky Sports) and then, on Sunday, subject to the weather, England take on the Indians in, The ICC Champions Trophy Final, at Edgbaston, Birmingham. If there is delays with the inclement weather then Joseph Maher to note, I have some Gaelic Football from R.T.E. TV to watch too. ;)

Today the much-awaited 'Lions' rugby tour gets under way, with an appropriate response from the public towards a sport a mind-numbingly boring and pointless as rugby. But it's the actual long form name of the 'Lions' that elicits chuckles. The traditional name, and the name used by the media, is 'British and Irish Lions', which is at least reflective of a somewhat true geopolitical situation, with 'Irish' in this case including the island of Ireland. But on Sky Sports's coverage of today's game, the 'Lions' were given an even longer and more ridiculous name in a digital infobar: 'Scottish and British and Irish Lions'. That's a tediously long sobriquet that matches 'Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia' for nonsensical titles, and in the 'Lions's case it makes absolutely no sense at all. Apparently, unbeknownst to all except Alex Salmond's neo-nationalist . ...
