I hated that 2008 Incredible Hulk... Ang Lee's Hulk gets no love. ever.
I don't know. I just know I like Ang Lee's Hulk better than Ed Norton's Incredible Hulk.
Watching 2008's Incredible Hulk with Edward Norton. Some major hommages to the TV show. The Lonely Man theme and Lou Ferrigno, both make appearances. Liking it so far Better than the Ang Lee film. although I did enjoy it. So far Ruffalo's Banner is my favorite to date.
Is the continuity the same or can I skip the 1st one & go to the second? I'm thinking like Ang Lee Hulk vs. Incredible Hulk bad.
Billy Crudup as the Incredible Hulk in Ang Lee's Hulk! Original actor choice before Eric Bana came on board.
10 minutes into Ang Lee's Incredible Hulk movie.. This is terrible. It's actually worse than the Dolph Lundgren Punisher movie.
The Incredible Hulk - The second feature released under the Marvel Studios banner (and the second feature film version of it's famed Incredible Hulk character) finds French action director Louis Leterrier (the Transporter series) at the helm. The curious choice of director says as much about the direction the Marvel wants to take this franchise as it does about how they'd like to distance themselves from Ang Lee's unappreciated version. In fact Leterrier manages to do in this film's title sequence what Lee took nearly three hours to do, tell the Hulk's origin story. However brief it may have been a couple of minutes in, and the film was all set up and off and running. Off and running is actually an apt choice of words, since 2008's Incredible Hulk is basically for all intents and purposes a chase film. I happen to be one of the few people who enjoyed Ang Lee's version, but having seen it I was welcoming to the idea of a tighter, more action oriented version. The new film isn't perfect, but delivers fairly ...
Sam Elliot is an amazing actor. Single-handely the reason I orefer Ang Lee's Hulk over Incredible Hulk.
So. I finished watching Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Captain America: The First Avenger, and I recently saw The Avengers. All that's left is Thor and the Incredible Hulk (the 2008 version with Norton and not that 2003 Ang Lee piece of crap.) Though I am kind of digging Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner.
In watching it again, Ang Lee's 2003 "Hulk" is SO much better than Louis Leterrier's 2008 "Incredible Hulk." I'm sorry that those who panned it were either distracted by the comic book like transitions, which I could totally see as. However, it plays like an English Drama, a Zen Koan, or a Greek tragedy, complete with a strong "sins of the father" theme and beautifully emotionally stoic, repressed, conflicted characters.
You don't have to watch Ang Lee's Hulk, but Incredible Hulk might help. They basically retcon Hulk anyway.
After seeing the surprisingly excellent Avengers movie, I decided to watch some of the origin movies. I watched Thor again (decent movie), and then both of the Hulk movies. Now, I don't care what anybody says: I'll take the Ang Lee 'Hulk' over Ed Norton's 'Incredible Hulk' ANY DAY. . *zips up flame suit and takes a deep breath* Ok, Dan Dieckmann and John Craig, I'm ready for you!
I haven't seen Avengers yet, so don't spoil it... but I heard Incredible Hulk was one of the highlights and that makes me so happy. He's my dude! Ang Lee was a botch and the Ed Norton flick was only pretty *** good. I WANT INCREDIBLE!
Watch Robot Chicken - Hollywood Spotlight of the Incredible Hulk. Follows the life of the Incredible Hulk
The Incredible Hulk. Not Ang Lee's Hulk. I wouldn't like him when it's Ang Lee.
Ultimate Avengers Marathon!!! Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk (the good one, not Ang Lee), Iron Man 2, Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger followed by the new Avengers movie, all in a row. WWWOOOH! It's gonna ROCK!!
