Ichiro Suzuki : Get Yankees tickets, watch them compete for MLB Championship! Gooo
The Seattle Mariners had a very interesting 2012 season to say the least, even though they finished in last place in the American League West for the third season in a row. The 2012 Mariners became the first team in history to lose a perfect game (Philip Humber of the White Sox was perfect against the Mariners) and win a perfect game (Felix Hernandez turned the trick against the Rays) in the same season! Also, six Mariner pitchers combined for a no-hitter against the Dodgers in June! Another interesting tidbit from 2012: Ichiro Suzuki was traded to the Yankees in July (right before the Yankees came to Seattle for a series, interestingly enough!)... As far as numbers for 2012, eight Mariners hit double-figures in home runs, led by Kyle Seager with 20 (he also drove in 86 runs); Michael Saunders and Justin Smoak were close behind with 19! Seattle was last in the majors with a .234 team batting average and also scored the fewest runs in the American League (619). The pitching starts (and many times ends) wit ...
Talk about a "World Baseball Classic!" Video of Ichiro Suzuki meeting Michael Jordan in 1995 at the United Center.
"No Nick Swisher. No Russell Martin. No Curtis Granderson for April. No Alex Rodriguez for who knows how long. A declining Mark Teixeira and an aging Derek Jeter trying to return from a broken ankle. Two outfielders in Ichiro Suzuki and Brett Gardner with little power. Oh, yeah, you're also playing in the toughest media market in the sport, coming off a postseason in which you hit .075 and playing for a huge contract as an impending free agent. Enjoy the season, Mr. Cano." By David Schoenfield. Baseball should be fun to watch this year
I know it's only spring training but the Mariners are 91 in Spring Training. I am so happy this team struggled for some time after the '03-04 offseason departure of Mike Cameron, the '04 trade of Freddy Garcia, the '04 release of John Olerud, the '04 retirement of Edgar Martinez, the '05 trade of Bret Boone, the '05 retirement of Dan Wilson, the '06 trade of Jamie Moyer, and the '12 trade of Ichiro Suzuki and now life is back in the team as they are winning big in Spring Training. All my favorite players might be gone, but winning is returning and this new group of guys resembles great things just like the old ones. All I want is a World Series Championship for the team and hopefully Jamie and Freddy get picked up and resume their pitching careers.
Good news for Yankees fans: Ichiro Suzuki was not injured tonight when his car collided with another, a woman who was cited for an illegal left turn. Bad news for Yankees fans - it might be one of the aging team's most newsworthy hits of the year.
MacArthur: Butterfield's defensive shifts in Jays' game plan TAMPA, Florida - Former Blue Jays third base/infield coach Brian Butterfield was an hour's drive south with the Red Sox in Bradenton on Thursday. His presence, however, was felt in the first inning of the Blue Jays' 1-0 win at Steinbrenner Field. With two outs and Ichiro Suzuki on first, Travis Hafner came to the plate. The former Indians' slugger, a left-handed hitter, is known strictly as a pull hitter. It was the Blue Jays' first opportunity of the spring to employ one of Butterfield's favourite strategies: the infield shift. The decision paid off. Hafner hit a bullet off diving first baseman Edwin Encarnacion's glove. The ball deflected in to shallow right field, directly... ~SportsMan

2013 the Yankees lineup features veterans who are past their primes but still useful if they remain healthy. Ichiro Suzuki (right field), Travis Hafner (DH) and Kevin Youkilis (third base) fit this description. Youkilis was signed to play third base while Alex Rodriguez tries to rebound from an ailing hip. Even future Hall of Famers Mariano Rivera and Derek Jeter are trying to return from injuries, so it remains to be seen if they will last the season without landing on the DL... Left fielder Brett Gardner and first baseman Mark Teixeira (who was limited to 123 games in 2012), the DL could be a crowded place in the Bronx. For the Yankees to secure a playoff spot, they especially need younger veterans like Teixeira, Curtis Granderson and Robinson Cano to remain healthy. Cano has incentive to produce MVP-caliber numbers this season since he can become a free agent when the 2013 campaign ends. The 38-year-old Jeter keeps proving doubters wrong by showing that he can still perform at a high level. Last year, ...

I am 3/4 of the way through a book about ichiro, and one quote of his that is so appropriate for each and everyone of us is: "If you limit yourself just to the sensibilities that are familiar to you, then you can't achieve self-development. For that reason, I think it is so important to come in contact with people from as many different walks of life as possible. Otherwise, you limit what you can experience and you end up stifling your growth." ~Suzuki Ichiro, in The Seattle Times, March 21, 2007. From the book by David Shields So true is he for saying this. No man has grown that has become too comfortable in their own skin. This guy is why Canton needs to induct him when he retires.
Did you know: Only two players in MLB have won the Rookie Of The Year & MVP awards in the same season. Fred Lynn with the Boston Red Sox in 1975 & Ichiro Suzuki with the Seattle Mariners in 2001.
The greatest rewards that Baseball has to offer belongs to the players with courage. Those that have chosen to live this way must be prepared for everything that comes with it. Failure, heartache, injury, and ridicule. Adding the element of courage to the recipe of baseball will produce great power, but with great power come an even greater amount of responsibility. You must be willing to go farther than what is asked of you. If you aspire to be great, you will be. If as a baseball player you are satisfied with mediocrity, and think average work will get you by, you will probably fall below it. Get familiar with baseball history and it’s heroes. You can learn a lot from the courage, innocents, and passion that players like Jackie Robinson, Roberto Clemente, Ichiro Suzuki, Curt Flood, and Hank Aaron displayed as well as the adversity they experienced and overcame. For those of you with average talent. For those of you with average skills, you my not have exceptional speed, power, accuracy or hand-eye co ...

Ichiro Suzuki is looking forward to starting the baseball season the way he ended last season: as a member of the Yankees.
But we never appreciate the time were in. In 100 years they'll be some kid saying "I wish I was alive to see Albert Pujols & Ichiro Suzuki"
It appears unlikely that Scott Hairston will be leaving New York this offseason, but that doesn't mean he won't change teams. ESPN New York's Wallace Matthews spoke to Hairston's agent Casey Close and was told that Hairston is in on-going talks with the Yankees and Mets. Close told Matthews that his client will likely make a decision in "a matter of days." Hairston would likely have to settle for a fourth outfielder's role with the Yankees, in which he'd back up Ichiro Suzuki and Brett Gardner while providing manager Joe Girardi with a lethal weapon against left-handed pitching off the bench. The 32-year-old batted .286/.317/.550 against southpaws in 2012 and boasts a career line of .276/.325/.500 against opposite-handed pitching. The Mets, on the other hand, could use Hairston every day, but don't offer the same hope of reaching the postseason in 2013 having finished 74-88 in 2012 and traded away Cy Young winner R.A. Dickey. General manager Sandy Alderson told Matthews' colleague Adam Rubin that the team ...
NEW YORK -- As the Yankees' high command reports to the office for the first time in 2013, they'll do so knowing that they have entered the home stretch for assembling a competitive roster. Under general manager Brian Cashman's direction, the Yankees' roster has tilted toward older players this winter. Barring a major trade, the months of January and February will be important for the club to identify and pursue complementary talent. "I think patience is a virtue, and it's something we've learned can be used effectively," Cashman said recently. "It's a harder road to walk, but sometimes it's not the worst road to walk. Sometimes you've got to wait for the right time and the right place to strike." Other than signing Kevin Youkilis to a one-year, $12 million contract, the Yankees have spent most of the offseason retaining their own veterans; pitchers Hiroki Kuroda, Andy Pettitte and Mariano Rivera all secured new agreements, as did outfielder Ichiro Suzuki. Of that group, Youkilis (34 by Opening Day) is th ...

General manager Brian Cashman said on Tuesday the club is continuing talks with veteran free agent Raul Ibanez about returning to the Yankees in 2013, according to the New York Post. Ibanez, 40, hit just .240 last year, but he added 19 home runs to mark his 11th consecutive season with 15 or more home runs. The left-handed-hitting veteran also added three more homers in the postseason, including his notable two-homer performance in Game 3 of the American League Division Series when he tied the game with a pinch-hit solo shot in the ninth then won it with a walk-off blast in the 12th. The Yankees are continuing to evaluate other options as well, given Ibanez's struggles against left-handed pitching. Used mostly in a platoon role last year, the 16-year veteran hit just .197 and didn't homer in 61 at-bats against southpaws. Ibanez would be used primarily as the club's designated hitter, with the trio of Curtis Granderson, Brett Gardner and Ichiro Suzuki expected to start in the outfield
Daily Recap: Outfielder Ichiro Suzuki and the Yankees on a two year deal worth $13 milliion. It turns out the Chicago Cubs didn't finalize a deal with pitcher Anibal Sanchez, instead the Detroit Tigers signed him to a 5 year $80 million deal (overpaid in my opinion). Finally, the Los Angeles Angels fresh off of signing Josh Hamilton are looking to trade an outfielder such as Mark Trumbo or Peter Bourjos for a pitcher, stay tuned to see how that turns out...
+++ WELL IT IS THAT TIME OF THE YEAR AGAIN FOR THE YEAR END AWARDS. Here is how it works. I will list the categories and the past results and then you have the ability to nominate anyone to any category. There are no real qualifications for any of the categories, outside of the obvious (men can't be nominated for women's awards but women can be considered for all of the awards and the rookie of the year is based on talent debuting nationally for the first time and is not based on the talent having made their initial first debut within the wrestling world. Any talent that has debuted on television longer then a period containing 12 months is not considered a rookie any longer, even if they are demoted after the initial debut and return with a new name, new gimmick etc. We are basing this on the same way Major League Baseball bases it, for example, Ichiro Suzuki was not techni ...

Yes, Kevin Youkilis is now a Yankee. But he has joined a rather old team that may be making its last hurrah in 2013. The Yankees offseason has been highlighted by the signings of 43-year-old Mariano Rivera, 40-year-old Andy Pettitte, 39-year-old Ichiro Suzuki, Hiroki Kuroda (38 on Opening Day) and Youkilis (34 on Opening Day) to one-year deals. That's a lot of old-timers on one team. In fact, the Yankees may have the oldest roster in baseball. Right now, it appears that the Yankees are playing for 2013 alone. They appear to have have no long-term plan at the moment, yet they really need one. As of now, they largely have nothing that will help them contend in 2014. It’s still early in the offseason, so it will be interesting to see if the Yankees do anything that helps them contend beyond next season. Ownership seems very determined to stay below the $189 million luxury-tax threshold.
The Reds just signed INF Jack Hannahan to a 1 year $2million contract. According to MLBTradeRumors, the Yankees have re-signed Ichiro Suzuki. They speculate that it could be a one year deal, a one year deal with an option, or a two year deal.

Braves search for a left fielder The Atlanta Braves landed the center fielder they wanted in last week's deal with free agent B.J. Upton. Next on the wish list is a left fielder, but finding the right fit financially may not be easy. David O'Brien of the Atlanta JC reports the Braves have about $10 million to spend on a left fielder and a couple of bench spots, which might price them out of available free agents such as Angel Pagan, Shane Victorino and Cody Ross. Other possibilities include Ryan Ludwick, who is coming off a strong season for the Cincinnati Reds, and even Ichiro Suzuki, who is growing impatient while awaiting an offer from the New York Yankees. The Braves are expected to move Martin Prado from left field to third base to replace the retiring Chipper Jones. - Doug Mittler from espn.com

Sports thought The Detroit Tigers and owner Mike Illitch are the favorites to win the World Series in 2013... But that hasn't stopped them from already investing $26 million in a 37-year old outfielder...Another move that would make the Tigers a lock would be to sign the uber-tatted Josh Hamilton to a massive deal that would compare to the one Victor Martinez was given two years ago...However, i think the addition of a player like Ichiro Suzuki in left-field would cost less money, add speed and defense to a roster lacking both and would cost a *** of a lot less.Who agrees with me???

A match made in heaven! The parade route the San Francisco Giants took to celebrate the 2012 World Championship has been cleaned up. Now they start the not-always-pleasant process of trying to defend their title. The Giants need to solve a problem with their outfield depth. Hunter Pence and Gregor Blanco are both returning. But Pence's average, on-base percentage and slugging all dropped in 2012. And Blanco, while a nice story and a contributor to the 2012 crown, is an adequate player at best who spent all of 2011 in Triple-A. Angel Pagan is a free agent and may find work elsewhere. Melky Cabrera is a free agent as well and seems to be persona non grata in San Francisco. Who can the Giants get to be an everyday outfielder? Free agent Ichiro Suzuki could fit the bill perfectly, and the Giants could meet his needs as well. The Giants could probably sign Ichiro to a reasonable two-year deal. He still is a solid outfielder with terrific speed. He could still be valuable patrolling either left or right field i ...
I really hope the Detroit Tigers pick up Marco Scutaro to cover Omar Infante and pick up Ichiro Suzuki for an all-purpose outfielder.
Nine times out of ten, when a sportscaster is referring to someone as a "class act", they're talking about a head coach who's black. "Tony Dungy, what a class act." "Total. Lovie Smith—class act." It's not just football. Sportscasters use these code words in all sports. If they're talking about a Latino player in baseball, like, "Ozzie Guillen is a firecracker" Latin guys are always firecrackers or spark plugs. Spark plug in the clubhouse. Wes Welker is like a gym rat, a real scrappy player. Which is code word for "white." Ichiro Suzuki is... inscrutable.
The New York Yankees have excercised the 2013 contract options for Robinson Cano ($15 million), Curtis Granderson ($15 million) and David Aardsma ($500,000 thousand)...but the Yankees still have big-time free agent decisions to make, with players such as Andy Pettitte, Mariano Rivera, Nick Swisher, Ichiro Suzuki, Russell Martin, Hiroki Kuroda, Raul Ibanez and Eric Chavez...and gotta see what Rafael Soriano will do with the club option or buyout...so still lots to look at for the Yankees organization...NYY
New York Yankees - "No surprises here, but the Players Association has announced its full list of 137 players who filed for free agency this morning. They become eligible to negotiate with any team at 12:01 am ET on Saturday. For now, there is an exclusive negotiating window with each free agent’s former team. These are the 12 Yankees who filed. Eric Chavez, Pedro Feliciano, Freddy Garcia, Raul Ibanez, Andruw Jones, Hiroki Kuroda, Derek Lowe, Russell Martin, Andy Pettitte, Mariano Rivera, Ichiro Suzuki, Nick Swisher."

It would be a mistake for the New York Yankees to re-sign veteran Ichiro Suzuki to replace free agent-to-be Nick Swisher as their everyday right fielder for 2013, according to Ken Davidoff of The New York Post.
Question for NY Yankee Fans: As far as I can see, the Yankees have 11 Free Agents... Nick Swisher; Ichiro Suzuki; Russell Martin; Raul Ibanez; Hiroki Kuroda; Mariano Rivera; Andy Pettitte; Derek Lowe; Eric Chavez; Andruw Jones and Freddy Garcia. The team has two Club options... Cano and Granderson (already say they will exercise option w/ Granderson) and Rafael Soriano has a player option. Who should they go after and make an offer and who should they let walk???

Along with Ichiro Suzuki, Zito is one of the two baseball players I like. Something about their calmness and Zen-like deceptive power.

More voters believe the Yankees should bring back Ichiro Suzuki than Mark Teixeira.

New York Yankees better get Josh Hamilton and get rid of A-Fraud and Swisher. While you are at it resign Ichiro Suzuki, Raul Ibanez and Andy Pettite
Not to rain on anybodies parade, but with the score 6-0 I think time might have run out for Ichiro Suzuki to get into the World Series. After all ... it's the Yankees not the Cardinals.
Manager Joe Girardi shuffled his lineup once again for Wednesday's do-or-die Game 4 of the American League Championship Series vs. the Tigers, sitting Curtis Granderson in favor of Nick Swisher. Swisher, who sat out Game 3, is in right field and batting second for Game 4. For the second consecutive game, Brett Gardner is in the lineup. With Granderson out, Girardi moved Gardner over to center field and slid him down to the eighth spot in the lineup. Gardner went 0-for-4 while playing left field and batting leadoff in Game 3. Ichiro Suzuki will start in left and lead off. Alex Rodriguez is also on the bench for the second straight game, as Eric Chavez will play third base and bat sixth.
Tigers top Yankees 2-1, need 1 win for pennant DETROIT (AP) -- Justin Verlander took a shutout into the ninth inning and the Detroit Tigers held on to beat the New York Yankees 2-1 Tuesday night for a 3-0 lead in the AL championship series. Phil Coke gave up consecutive singles with two outs in the ninth before striking out postseason star Raul Ibanez for his second save in two games. Verlander allowed only a pair of singles by Ichiro Suzuki and a leadoff homer by Eduardo Nunez in the ninth. Delmon Young hit a solo home run for the Tigers, and Miguel Cabrera had an RBI double. Yankees starter Phil Hughes was lifted in the fourth because of a stiff back, and manager Joe Girardi's lineup shuffle - Alex Rodriguez was benched again - failed to snap New York out of its untimely hitting funk.
Ichiro suzuki...no no estoy anime estoy mordiendome las uñas con el juego de los yankees
Unfortunately he has been in the witness protection program for most of his career, but I will say this, Ichiro Suzuki is the closest thing to a true 5 tool player that I have ever seen. Mind you, I am seeing him at 38. If he would have played his entire career in the Bronx he would be bigger than Godzilla! Such a talented player.
In the 3rd Game of the ALCS, Detroit pitcher, Verlander is dominating the Yankees. Top of the 8th, NY only has two hits, and both of them belong to Ichiro Suzuki. Detroit is leading 2-0 in the top of the 8th. My dream of a Tigers/Giants World Series is taking another step forward!!!
Ichiro Suzuki shoulda bought a Honda, cuz he aint gettin much help lol
Yankees have 2 hits in this game, both by Ichiro Suzuki.

In important news, Verlander is mowing down the Yankees. Only 2 hits against him through 7 innings, both by Ichiro Suzuki, of course.
Yankee line up game 3. 1. Brett Gardner, LF 2. Ichiro Suzuki, RF 3. Mark Teixeira, 1B 4. Robinson Cano, 2B 5. Raul Ibanez, DH 6. Russell Martin, C 7. Eric Chavez, 3B 8. Curtis Granderson, CF 9. Eduardo Nunez, SS this is not going to get it done.oh well there is always next year lol..
It's fascinating to see posts from my friends that are on both side of our polirical spectrum.I cannot stand Mitt and think Obama is even worse...so tonite it's Detroit Tigers vs. NY Yankees! Go Tigers, but will nod my hat to Ichiro Suzuki, love that guy! hope he gets a Championship soon!!!
Facing a Yankees lineup without Alex Rodriguez and Nick Swisher, Justin Verlander was perfect the first time through before giving up a fourth-inning single to Ichiro Suzuki.
Watching ichiro suzuki ( yes he has a last name) swing the bat even know he's just constently slapping it to left is one of the most impressive things I've seen in my years of following baseball

Whats up with the Yankee's, they can't even buy a hit. Are you kidding me, Anibal Sanchez comes into Yankee Stadium and throws a shutout in a playoof atmosphere. This stadium has no aura, like the old. It's a high end food court, thats it. Yankees batting averages Jason Nix 500 Raul Ibanez 429 Derek Jeter 333 out of post season Mark Texeira 333 Ichiro Suzuki 310 Russel Martin 227 Curtis Granderson 130 Nick Swisher 130 Alex Rodriguez 105 Robinson Cano 071 REPEAT Robinson Cano 071 How come he didn't get pinch hit for YANKEE BUMS 2 losses at the famous Yankee Stadium and they still haven't faced Verlander yet.
why you dont put Brett Gardner. In the left field and ichiro suzuki in the right field?
Ichiro Suzuki kind of looks like Joseph Gordon Levitt
Hate the Yankees but Ichiro Suzuki is a cutie!
Lmao my mom has a crush on Ichiro Suzuki
I know that this is going to seem crazy, but just to shake things up a little and see what happens, why not have Raul Ibanez in left field, Ichiro Suzuki in right field, and give CC Sabathia a chance to DH. He has good career hitting numbers and since Anibal Sanchez is a National League pitcher, he might even have some at bats against him. What is the worst that could happen? And I know that Girardi has already said that he would not use A-Rod at shortstop today, but if I were him, I would give it a try. Who knows? Maybe the change would do A-Rod some good. Maybe he would fixate more on his defense and less on his hitting. Since nobody expects the Yankees to win this series following the loss of Jeter, Girardi and company should play these games as if they have nothing to lose. In the end, that approach to the game did not help the As or the Os get past the ALDS, but maybe it could get the Yankees over the hump. (In a Matt Dillon from the Outsiders voice) LET'S DO IT FOR JETER! DO IT FOR JETER!
Ichiro Suzuki should bat lead off now that DJ is hurt.

Fun Fact (and this one is a doozy): Yankees utility OF Ichiro Suzuki's 1,302 career runs created, .365 career on base percentage and 169.1 career power/speed number, defined as the harmonic mean of home runs hit and bases stolen and 8,123 career at bats in the first spot in the order make him sabermetrically the second or third best leadoff hitter of all time, behind Rickey Henderson and either behind or ahead of Pete Rose.
The Japanese designer's styles are experimental yet functional.
With a 4-0 lead in the ninth on Saturday, Valverde gave up a leadoff single to Russell Martin and -- two batters later -- he watched Ichiro Suzuki turn on an 0-1 sinker for a two-run homer. After later issuing a two-out walk to Mark Teixeira, Valverde gave up a two-run home run to Raul Ibanez, this postseason's version of Superman.
The 2 run HR by Ichiro Suzuki and the 2 run tying HR by Raul Ibanez last night in the bottom of the 9th inning off of Valverde were purely amazing and exciting, and just an unbelievable moment, but we did fall 6-4 in 12 innings in Game 1 and are right back at it today at the Stadium with Hiroki Kuroda on the mound.BUT the big story and gut-wrenching moment was the loss of Derek Jeter with a fractured left ankle, done until 2013...no words could describe how we feel, just hope we can rally around it and pull this series out, starting today...come on Kuroda and the BATS!!
I've been posting some articles about the hitting approaches of major league hitters, and seeing that Ichiro just set the record of 9 consecutive 200 hit
Derek Jeter is out for the rest of the postseason with a broken ankle. This is devastating. The rest of the team really has to stepping up and getting hits, not only Alex Rodriguez but Curtis Granderson, Nick Swisher, Robinson Cano, and Eric Chavez. Russell Martin, Ichiro Suzuki, Mark Texiera are doing decent, so is our pitching. We can still win this, let's start today
The truly great Ichiro Suzuki went 4 for 6 in last night's game. This guy can taste the World Series.
Hey Jim Leyland, Newsflash - Jose Valverde cannot close out a game. Once you see Ichiro Suzuki smoke one over the fence, don't you think you ought to get Valverde out of the game when Ibanez comes up to bat with the tying run? However, the boys played hard and got the win. Lets hope Sanchez throw a good game today.
Little late posting this but I just finished watching what I could of the Yankees game tonight (last night?): ICHIRO SUZUKI !...again! Raul Ibanez !...again!
A-Rod is too old, Cano is stone cold, Granderson is completely lost and Nick Swisher can just smile. Then Jeter broke his ankle. 2012 Yankees you had one of the gustiest pitching staffs in 10 years. Ichiro Suzuki and Raul Ibanez you became my favorite players since Hideki Matsui and Johnny Damon. CC Sabathia you are now a Yankees legend. Good night sweet Yankees, I cannot watch three more games of half the order flaying horribly at any pitch.
So the yankee are in the alcs... the two players that got them there... and the only 2 players doing anything on the team... Raul Ibanez and Ichiro Suzuki. ex Mariners!.WHY!!???!!!
Why is it that former Mariners are driving in the most runs for the Yankees. Raul Ibanez and Ichiro Suzuki are tearing it up in the post-season for the Yankees. Why couldn't they do that for the Mariners, instead of my least favorite team.
Tigers Win Game 1 of American Championship Series beating Yankees in 12 Inning 6-4 NEW YORK -- Delmon Young doubled home the go-ahead run in the 12th inning after New York's Raul Ibanez hit another stunning game-tying home run during a four-run rally in the ninth, and the Detroit Tigers outlasted the Yankees 6-4 Saturday night in an AL championship series opener in which Derek Jeter was helped off the field with a fractured ankle. Jeter rolled over his knee when he dove in an attempt to glove Jhonny Peralta's grounder up the middle in the 12th. Unable to move, he flipped the ball toward the mound. His leg was dangling as he was assisted to the dugout by manager Joe Girardi and trainer Steve Donahue. Detroit was coasting to a 4-0 win before the Yankees rocked Tigers closer Jose Valverde in the ninth. Three batters after Ichiro Suzuki hit a two-run homer off Valverde to cut the Yankees' deficit in half, Ibanez connected for his second tying drive of this postseason, a two-run shot to right-center. Ibanez st ...

The 2012 Yankees Postseason is brought to you by the Seattle Mariners. The Yanks lead the league in former Mariners: Dave Aardesma, Raul Ibanez, Michael Pineda, Alex Rodriguez, Rafael Soriano, Ichiro Suzuki
Ichiro Suzuki, you are unbelievable! Wish you were a Met instead of a Yankee..it is what it is..
Why is Kurt Suzuki called Suzuki and Ichiro Suzuki called Ichiro
Excerpts from Valverde's now edited Wikipedia page. "Valverde throws just two pitches, a four-seam fastball (93–96 mph) and a splitter (84–87), but both are as big as a beach ball and are often hit for home runs.", "Valverde is also known for his energetic, highly emotional style on the mound. He frequently celebrates outs and saves very demonstratively. Some have questioned the sportsmanship of his behavior, including former teammate Miguel Montero of the Arizona Diamondbacks who has called him "unprofessional",[18][19] which makes it all the more amusing when he gives up game-tying home runs to Ichiro Suzuki and Raul Ibanez. His pitching style is closely related to Stevie Wonder throwing a baseball right down Broadway.", "On October 13, 2012, he let up 2 home runs in the 9th inning since he is fat, can't control his *** and wants to be anally pounded by Raul Ibanez after the game. He has caused Miguel Cabrera to start drinking again and gave my wife cancer."
Btw, how do you let Ichiro Suzuki hit his first career homerun off of you?
Ichiro Suzuki is still my favorite player but I just might have to have two favorite players. Heidi calls him the the bald guy.
It's one thing to allow to home runs to Cano or Teixiera, it's another thing to allow two home runs to Ibañez and Ichiro Suzuki.
Are you kidding me?!?! What an unbelievable comeback! Down 4-0, first Ichiro Suzuki hits a 2-run home run in the bottom of the 9th. Then, Raul Ibanez does it again! He ties it up with another 2-run home run, with 2 outs no less! Go Yankees!!!
*** yeah *** thank you Raul Ibanez for tying up the game and ichiro Suzuki the games tied up 4-4 bottom of the 9th yankees are going to win
wants to thank Ichiro Suzuki and Raul Ibanez for restoring my faith in my Yankees.FINALLY, some professionals who understand that THIS...IS...THE...PLAYOFFS! :-)

Current and comprehensive career statistics data for Ichiro Suzuki
I am not secure enough in my manhood to take a shower with Ichiro Suzuki. Does anyone else feel this way???
The Yankees offense is an embarrassment right now it is really hard to watch. Joe Girardi needs to do something to shake things up, my suggestion LF Raul Ibanez, CF Brett Gardner, RF Ichiro Suzuki, 1B Mark Teixeira, 2B Jason Nix, SS Derek Jeter, 3B Eric Chavez, C Russell Marin, DH Robinson Cano. Guarantee that line up puts runs on the board
Ichiro Suzuki is the only player that can hit & run with nobody on base LOL!!! Funny commentators!!!
Right before an exam I always search up random stuff.did you know Ichiro Suzuki is a 10x All Star and a 10x Gold Glove winner too! I don't even watch baseball.
Yankees line-up yesterday: Russell Martin: acquired from the Dodgers. Mark Texeira: acquired from the Angels. Eric Chavez: acquired from the A's. Ichiro Suzuki: acquired from the Mariners. Curtis Granderson: acquired from the Tigers. Nick Swisher: acquired from the White Sox. Raul Ibanez: acquired from the Phillies. Sabathia: acquired from the Brewers. Players on the field developed by the Yankees themselves: two, Jeter and Cano. Best sport ever, IMO. But the economics are ugly, ugly, ugly.
So now that O's and Nats are out. I have 5 acceptable reasons for the Yankees to go all the way. 1 Ichiro Suzuki. 2 Raul Ibanez. 3 Andruw Jones. 4 Eric Chavez. 5 Russell Martin...6 Derek Jeter. Justin Verlander may have something to say about that.
The New York Yankees and Baltimore Orioles will go at it tonight for the last time. This is it. Game 5. Win or go home. The teams tied their regular season series 9-9...
Some thoughts on the O's-Yankees series: 1) The Orioles exceeded most people's expectations just by getting this far. O's fans can't be too disappointed that they didn't advance to the ALCS. They're relevant again and next year should be another good one. 2) To the TBS announcers: referring to Alex Rodriguez as A-Rod or Ichiro Suzuki as "Ichiro" is one thing; referring to the entire Yankee team by their first names or nicknames makes you look like a Yanke homer (and that includes you Cal). 3) To the Yankee hitters: umpires are allowed to call strikes on you. Looking disgusted at every called strike makes you look like a whiny 5 year-old. 4) To the Yankee fans: booing every 2 strike pitch that is called a ball to an Oriole hitter makes you look like a bunch of pretentious jackasses. 5) To the Yankee Stadium sound effects people: that stupid *** whistling noise that you played every time your pitchers recorded a strikeout was one of the most annoying things I've heard this season.
Having lived in Seattle for many years, and having seen Ichiro Suzuki gamely play year after year, and provide so much enjoyment for the fans, with very little post season play, I am happy for him now that he is with the Yankees and is now getting to play in the ALCS. Go Ichiro!
Congrats to the ALDS Champs NY Yankees, Great Win! CC on his game and Ichiro Suzuki on the Game winning Hit..

Hey Mr Girardi - why would you let the media / fans dictate how you coach? Alex Rodriguez 2 for 16, Curtis Granderson 1 for 16, Robinson Cano 2 for 18, Nick Swisher 2 for 15, Ichiro Suzuki 4 for 20, Russel Martin 2 for 14 . Looks to me like you need to bench the entire team if you're going to bench Alex for not hitting!

I think Ichiro Suzuki has hip dysplasia.
Interesting baseball stat I just came across: Ichiro Suzuki hit .322 after he got traded to the Yankees and .385 in September. Talk about a late season resurgence!
Seattle Mariners. It looks like all the Mariners of old are in the World Series. When is it our turn?.If you build it we will come.we just want a shot at the big stage. After Alex Rodriguez and Ichiro Suzuki.Raul Ibanez was the hero. Seattle Mariner fans deserve better in 2013!!
I love individual players for the Yankees. In fact Derek Jeter and Ichiro Suzuki are some of my favorite players of all time. The only player on the roster I have any ill will towards is A-Rod, and even Yankees fans hate him. But, like every human being who isn't from the Bronx and isn't sick in the head, I hate the Yankees with every bone in my body. Doubly so since I'm also an O's fan.
Japanese-English Menswear Designer Ichiro Suzuki uses inspiration from Op Art to create tailored fashions that confuse the eye and redefine the menswear tailoring industry. He's been dubbed by many the next big thing in menswear. Katia Ganfield writes
Raul Ibanez is Scott Brosius. You're dead to me bro. It was nice while you were here, but now you're just playing the role of the cliche "clutch, aging veteran who used to be good, and has gotten lucky in the postseason." The yankees seem to dredge up these guys every year. Sometimes they even last several seasons: Rubin Sierra, Paul O'Neill, Scott Brosius, Aaron Boone, Ichiro Suzuki, Bobby Abreu, Reggie Jackson... the list goes on. I hate you Yankees of New York. I hope you never find true happiness. $$
not gonna lie i would not mind seeing Ichiro Suzuki finally get his Ring. he deserves one.

Derek Jeter, Ichiro Suzuki and Alex Rodriguez are the first trio of teammates with at least 2,500 hits to play together in a postseason game.
Baseball fans. When former Mariner Ichiro Suzuki is followed by former Mariner ARod who is pinch hit for by former Mariner Raul Ibanez who hits a home run to tie the game for the Yankees...it kinda makes you scratch your head.
