had a wonderful time yesterday. Went on a greyhound bus with some of my co-workers and we went to the Hollywood Casino and Scioto Downs in Columbus. It was awesome. I needed to get out and have some fun. I really haven't been able to get out and have a good time, since dad took my family and I. It is good sometimes to get away from your problems, and work. Thanks for those who helped arrange for us to go.
I went to Hollywood Casino with Becky Thompson and Trish Thompson. I did not win big, but it was fun. I think I may like Scioto Downs better as it was just too crowded and people were so rude. I may try again when they aren't so busy. Getting ready to take Lily Schwarz to her winter dance.

Hit 40.00 on a 2 cent one called Hee Haw. Not big winnings, but broke even after 5 hours and came home. I really enjoyed myself for free ;0) Gotta have a lil fun before I am grounded for awhile.. 2 weeks from today

Just a few months ago, there were no casinos in Ohio. On Monday, when the Hollywood Casino Columbus opens on Monday, Ohio will have 'three casinos and one “racino,” about 9,200 slot machines and almost 300 table games, including blackjack, craps, roulette and poker,' according to an article in the Columbus Dispatch. The article also points out that by 2014, Ohio could have as many as four casinos and seven racetracks with racinos. The writer raises the question as to whether or not the state can sustain all of these casinos. The MTR Gaming Group, which owns and operates Scioto Downs in Columbus and casinos in Pennsylvania and West Virginia, filed paperwork recently that expressed concern about the opening of the new Hollywood Casino and additional racinos. When these facilities open, it “will have a negative impact on our results of operation at all of our properties, and such impact may be material,” the filing stated. Despite the concerns, companies are pressing ahead with casino plans, from fil ...
Pics from inside Hollywood Casino Columbus. Decided not to stay around and listen to Mayor Coleman speak! On to Scioto Downs!
Bill & I received an invitation in the mail today to attend the preview opening of the Hollywood Casino on October 3rd. This is the new casino opening in Columbus on October 8th. We can gamble from 11 am to 5pm. All profits will go to charity. Hopefully the opening will go better than Scioto Downs (racetrack casino) where half the machines went down at the same time.
Can't wait until the 8th of October. Hitting the Hollywood Casino when that day approaches. Might have more luck over at that place over Scioto Downs. And it's closer. West side baby!
