Harvey Herschel Korman (February 15, 1927May 29, 2008) was an American comedic actor who performed in television and movie productions beginning in 1960. His big break was being a featured performer on The Danny Kaye Show, but he is best remembered for his performances on the sketch comedy series The Carol Burnett Show and in several films by Mel Brooks, most notably as Hedley Lamarr in Blazing Saddles.

The guy at the Shell station in union did a spot-on impersonation of Tim Conway's "slow moving old man" character from the Carol Burnett Show. Oh, Harvey Korman could not supress his laughter at that! Not quite as funny when you want to get somewhere.
Tim Conway and Harvey Korman, this is a real classic.
My dad and I used to watch this religiously. This is one of my favorite “Harvey Korman can’t keep it together” sketches.
Watching CNN The Sixties-memories! Nothing funnier that Carol Burnett, Harvey Korman & Tim Conway! Watched The Twilight Zone & would be too scared to walk upstairs to my room; often slept on couch! The Beatles on Ed Sullivan Show was the best! Fun to go back to the 60s~~even if just for an hour!
I loved the the Carol Burnett Show. Harvey Korman could NEVER keep a straight face with Tim Conway, in any scene.

Day 5 - Comedy [sketch] - Carol Burnett Show - Harvey Korman & Tim Conway - The Dentist Sketch - one of the funniest routines from this wonderful variety show's long run.
One of my all-time favorite sketches involving Tim Conway & Harvey Korman on The Carol Burnett Show. Poor Harvey didn't have a chance in this one. Enjoy
The Carol Burnett Show showcased 2,225 sketches in its shows run! Amazing...considering the leads were two women (Carol Burnett & Vicky Lawrence) and the two men (Tim Conway & Harvey Korman) were in the back roles for that time period!
Who are they going to get now that Harvey Korman and Bea Arthur are dead?
I never noticed it until now, but Ford's a real "2 for the price of 1" on Harvey Korman and Tim Conway. (ATTN: Carol Burnett)
Pics of the late Harvey Korman as Ed and Louise Ann Duart as Eunice. Both are "husband and wife" character's from "Mama's Family" and "The Carol Burnett Show". In real life, Louise and Harvey were great friends. It's sad, both never played these characters together.
Harvey Korman showing us how to make a transmitter, in a segment seemingly guest-directed by David Lynch.
I'm hoping for all of Harvey Korman's characters to put in an appearance. And Art Carney. AND Chewie's family!

I miss TV shows that were built around a nuclear family. You know an actual married set of parents... kids who respected and obeyed them. Story lines that were clean enough for the family to actually watch together w/o someone having to mute the conversation. Subjects besides sex, *** and making Christians appear like knuckle-dragging mountain gorillas. My heart goes out to kids who think this stuff is normal. I miss shows where people didn't have to be filthy to be funny. We seem to have misplaced our moral compass. I loved shows that taught values of honesty, integrity, love, forgiveness, hard work, clean living, and simple upright behavior. I loved the humor of Barney, Andy, Opie, and Aunt Bea; I loved Red Skelton, John Wayne, Carol Burnett, Bob Newhart, and Harvey Korman. Those people were funny, talented, and understood they had no right to pour verbal vomit into the ears of their audience. I appreciate that. That's old school...I got that. I like old school. Mel Brooks is a genius! Gene Wilder, Cleavon Little & Harvey Korman, to name a few, are absolutely hilarious!!
I just ordered the 1985 live-action Alice in Wonderland/Through the Looking Glass. I was about the most excited girl in history. And then I found out that John Stamos is in it. It was too much. Especially when you consider it also has Donald O'Conner, Carol Channing, Harvey Korman, Scott Baio, and Ann Jillian, just to name a few. So excited to share this with Robert Eaton. And Babes in Toyland, which he has not seen.

Showed the kids Mel Brooks' DRACULA.I had never seen it due to bad reviews and an over saturation of Leslie Nielsen comedies at the time of its release. But my GOD is it good! R.I.P. Sid Caesar who died February 12 at 91. This guy literally invented television comedy. Without him there would be no Saturday Night Lives or sitcoms or any of the funny stuff you enjoy on T.V. everyday. He spawned the careers of Neil Simon, Mel Brooks, Carl Reiner, Imogene Coca, Carol Burnett, Vicki Lawrence, Harvey Korman, Tim Conway, Don Knotts and the list is endless.

Will there ever be a greater comedic trio than Carol Burnett, Harvey Korman and Tim Conway?
Spent the whole day, laughing with Carol Burnett, Tim Conway, and Harvey Korman. I got on the computer to do homework and have done absolutely nothing but laughed all day. Darn these youtube videos:P
I remember when Carol Burnet, *** Van *** and Harvey Korman were on The Gary Moore Show on week days mornings in black and white.
Watching "Blazing Saddles": Great comedy classic if you love Gene Wilder, Mel Brooks and Harvey Korman. Didn't think I'd ever get to say this in my life, but "they don't make'm like they used to."
I was given the name a of director; not sure what I have to say, only that three of my favorite movies are by this director: Mel Brooks. My favorite of his is without question The Producers, with Zero Mostel and Gene Wilder. Just the opening sequence alone, with Zero and the old ladies is enough to make me cry with laughter. My next favorite is Young Frankenstein with brilliant work by Gene Wilder, Madeline Kahn, Peter Boyle and Cloris Leachman in a great character role. The last of the three is hardly last, though: Blazing Saddles, an outrageous satire of racism and the Old West. To me, the Yiddish speaking Indian chief, played by Mel himself, ordering his warriors to "Loz im gayn!" before turning to another Indian and muttering, "shvartses! dere darker dan us!" was the funniest moment in the movie, but Harvey Korman and Madeline Kahn deserved oscars for their work.
One of the funniest movies of all time, if you haven't seen it and don't watch it tonight I don't want to be your friend. AMC: Friday, January 24 8:00 PM 1974, R, ***, 01:33, Color, English, United States, A black railroad worker is appointed sheriff of a town marked for destruction by a scheming politician. Cast: Cleavon Little, Gene Wilder, Madeline Kahn, Slim Pickens, David Huddleston, Liam Dunn, Alex Karras, John Hillerman, George Furth, Mel Brooks, Harvey Korman, Dom DeLuise, Richard Collier, Count Basie Director(s): Mel Brooks Producer(s): Michael Hertzberg
Mel Brooks' raunchy, insane Blazing Saddles had a heck of a time getting out the gate, but when it finally did, oh what a race it ran. With pitch perfect performances by Cleavon Little, Madeline Kahn and Harvey Korman, the little Western (spoof) that could took on racial bigotry, sex and bodily func...
Watching Herbie Goes Bananas. Cloris Leachman aggressively seducing a loony Harvey Korman is one of the strangest things in a Disney movie.
I am watching the Mark Twain Prize, which is honoring Carol Burnett. I still laugh out loud with Tim Conway, Harvey Korman and Carol Burnett.
Blazing Saddles (1974) Movie Info Vulgar, crude, and occasionally scandalous in its racial humor, this hilarious bad-taste spoof of Westerns, co-written by Richard Pryor, features Cleavon Little as the first black sheriff of a stunned town scheduled for demolition by an encroaching railroad. Little and co-star Gene Wilder have great chemistry, and the delightful supporting cast includes Harvey Korman, Slim Pickens, and Madeline Kahn as a chanteuse modelled on Marlene Dietrich. As in Young Frankenstein (1974), Silent Movie (1976), and High Anxiety (1977), director/writer Mel Brooks gives a burlesque spin to a classic Hollywood movie genre; in his own manic, Borscht Belt way, Brooks was a central player in revising classic genres in light of Seventies values and attitudes, an effort most often associated with such directors as Robert Altman and Peter Bogdanovich . Some of this film's sequences, notably a gaseous bean dinner around a campfire, have become comedy classics.

Tim Conway on cracking up Harvey Korman on The Carol Burnett Show: 'You can see Harvey wet his pants from laughing.'.
For Friday, Reubens, Rachels, broccoli and cheese soup and cookies! And I still have three copies of the Star Wars Holiday Special--seriously, if you want it, just ask! (It has all the stars of the movie, plus the first appearance of Boba Fett, Bea Arthur singing to a giant rat, a Harvey Korman robot, Art Carney grooving to Jefferson Starship, Chewbacca's dad Itchy and his son Lumpy... I swear I'm not even kidding. It's way surreal, and George Lucas would not even put his name on it. Worth it for the 1978 ads alone. Get yours Friday!)
In this speech she'd be dry *** Harvey Korman's head volcano thing at this point w/ Jefferson Starship in the background
My friend Juliana Gaul gave me the number 8 I I have to tell you ten things you may not know about me. If you want to play just comment on or like this post and I'll give you a number. 1. Totally ... question is, who should take on the Harvey Korman role?
You've seen this before, but I don't care. It's too good not to see it again. Tim Conway is the dentist. Harvey Korman is the patient.
Carol Burnett,Tim Conway reunite & reminisce to promote his memoir (remember when Harvey Korman peed himself on TV?)
They sure were! Harvey Korman laughing at Tim Conway was priceless! Solid Gold!
I just caught a Paid Advertisement on WUCW TV as I channel surfed. It so happened to be for the Carol Burnett Show, and it cost me 100 well-spent dollars for a collection of her shows. Fortunately, I had the opportunity to see Tim Conway and the late Harvey Korman twice in the Twin Cities through my tours. I am so looking forward to receiving the DVD's of some awesome TV entertainment. Memories are about to come alive!

He and Harvey Korman cracked me up as a kid watching Carol Burnett or with Don Knott's in Apple Dumpling Gang movies
And in the words of Harvey Korman: "That's Hedley..." One must respect this kind of talent.
Yeah she was upset about Harvey Korman's character being named after her. The math thing was a joke?
What an incredibly intelligent and beautiful woman she was! Happy Birthday Hedy Lamarr!!! It's funny, every time I hear her name, I always think of Mel Brooks iconic movie "Blazing Saddles". Harvey Korman played a corrupt politician named "Hedley Lamarr" and throughout the entire movie, he was constantly referred to as "Hedy Lamarr" irritating him to no end. If you haven't yet sen this movie, you should watch it soon. It turned the page in film making in so many ways, not to mention, you will split a gut from laughing so hard! Governor William J. Le Petomane: Thank you, Hedy, thank you Hedley Lamarr: It's not *Hedy*, it's *Hedley*. Hedley Lamarr. Governor William J. Le Petomane: What the *** are you worried about? This is 1874. You'll be able to sue *her*.
So why am I thinking of Harvey Korman saying "Hedley!"
According to Harvey Korman it was hedly lamarr. Just sayin.
and she inspired the name for Harvey Korman in Blazing Saddles!
This is a picture of my favorite Trumpet Player after his show at the Circle Star Theater in San Carlos, CA back in 1973 the great "Doc Severinsen" Band Leader of the "Johnny Carson" Tonight Show and me at age 15 years old. I was a Trumpet fanatic in High School and wanted to be a Big Band Trumpet Player. I use to see all the great Trumpet players live when they were in the Bay Area and I still like playing the Trumpet and playing the Classic songs. I have seen Doc Severinsen play live about 5 times in the past and enjoyed every minute of it. One time I seen him on the Tonight show with Johnny Carson, Ed McMahon and Harvey Korman as a guest. I always liked meeting my musical Idols and hope by meeting them some of their magic or talent would rub off on me. It was always a thrill every time I met someone great on their instrument.
"Too Jewish." Hedy--that's *Hedley* Lamarr (Harvey Korman) to railroad foreman Taggert (Slim Pickens) on why they can't kill the first-born male child of everyone in Rock Ridge. Blazing Saddles; Mel Brooks, 1974.
Yes. Two of the most funniest ever, Carol Burnett and Harvey Korman. Also add Tim Conway.
Well, I'm about to go to the dentist for my bi-annual checkup. Just a cleaning, hopefully, and hopefully my experience won't be anything like what Harvey Korman went through with Tim Conway in this sketch from "The Carol Burnett Show."
I strive to reach the dreams of my youth... For decades, one of the biggest dreams I had was to be as funny as Mel Brooks for 5 minute increments, two times a month... As of yet, I am constantly reminded by others that I fail at this task... Still, I dream... I think, therefore I kvetch... I kvetch, therefore the bris of '66 worked for something... & now, some haiku: Torquemada said Everybody jump queen Why am I in drag Fabulous knockers I'm Garr'd for life now, thank you I be not normal Springtime for Hitler The fall of Semite-antics Bang-croft graduate Navin R. I miss Harvey Korman... I miss Johnathan Winters... I miss Richard Pryor... I miss Lenny Bruce... I'm going to be sad when I miss Mel Brooks... ¶€
Love Carol as Nora Desmond. And Harvey Korman. She had such a great cast on her show & guests.
Carol Burnett Wins Mark Twain Award! - Not a bit distracted by a naked Tim Conway running around the stage being pursued by ushers, Carol Burnett was honored recently by receiving the Mark Twain Award for 50 years of comedy. Tim could break up Harvey Korman every time but he wasn't so...
Here it is finally, the classic 1969 Carol Burnett Show skit "The Dentist" with Tim Conway and Harvey Korman, this is my Dad's favorite, when did Harvey Korman NOT crack up laughing??
We watched 'The Doctors' recorded earlier this week, they had Vicki Lawrence on as her character "Mama" & then as herself...I have not laughed that much in a long time...the show deals with medical issues, & there is humor, but this was just 'what the doctor ordered'...excuse the pun.I loved it...she said she learned from the best...had worked with Carol Burnett, Tim Conway, Harvey Korman (sp?).
Sitting here watching an infomercial for "Carol's Crackups" - starring Carol Burnette, Harvey Korman, Tim Conway, Vicki Lawrence, and many, many guests. Its basically all bloopers of the show/or of the cast just flat out laughing at themselves while performing. OMG - its a riot.
Watching Blazing Saddles is bittersweet. I miss Madeline Kahn and Cleavon Little and Harvey Korman. I miss Gene Wilder on the screen. There are no more geniuses like this.
Jonathan Winters Robin Williams Red Skelton Carol Burnett, Harvey Korman and Tim Conway just for laughs
He's funny, but for my money... Tim Conway and Harvey Korman have made magical moments on the Carol Burnett Show
That plan didn't work out too well for Harvey Korman! Just sayin'! ;)
Tim Conway and Harvey Korman were awesome together
The Carol Burnett Show began on CBS in 1967 with Lyle Waggoner, Harvey Korman, Vicki Lawrence. Jim Nabors was the first guest.
Settled on Woodford Reserve and Hardcore Pawn. Similar to Harvey Korman & Tim Conway, it just works.
lol she is 16 yrs younger than carol and Tim Conway 21 years younger than the late Harvey Korman
Chuckles was 30th? Also, the Tim Conway-Harvey Korman dentist skit from Carol Burnett Show must be included...
Harvey Korman is hilarious as Dr Jack Seward. The scene at the breakfast table as Renfield eats bugs is hilarious.
“People who become comedians… come from pain, come from conflict.”—Harvey Korman (from the Carol Burnett Show)
Dear any bored editor. Please cut Harvey Korman into Pulp Fiction in the the Harvey Keitel role. Pretty please. With sugar on top.
About to shut it down for the night with 4,091 followers. If I'm not mistaken, that's about the combined age of Tim Conway and Harvey Korman
Tim Conway/Harvey Korman interrogation sketch. Maybe it was our mood but we're thinking 1 of funniest sketches ever.
I wish they'd do a revisited Carol Burnett Show. Old skits/new players.as Carol, Will Ferrell as Harvey Korman.
Glad to know I'm not the only one who mourns long dead comedians. I felt real sad the other week remembering Harvey Korman.
Following up on NEW GODS '78 idea: Harvey Korman as Kanto and Tim Conway as Vermin Vundabar.
You and Ryan are the Tim Conway and Harvey Korman of the 21st Century.
You an me both, sister. It was Rosemary Clooney and Perez Prado version. But I can never NOT think of Harvey Korman. :-)

Carol Burnett, Harvey Korman, and Tim Conway are awesome comedians. I kinda wish I could watch more of their old shows.
"It's pronounced DahnGr!! Don Gurr!!" --Harvey Korman in the Weiner biopic of my dreams.
.Dude's like Harvey Korman taking a leak on the *** Boy's shoe in History of the World.
Haven't seen anything so hilarious since the days of Tim Conway and Harvey Korman!
"If you want to be Carol, I want to be your Harvey Korman." - a private message Piers Rae sent me, making things weird.
Baseball on the radio: dozed off when they were talking Harvey Korman in the 2nd, awoke to an in-depth history of horseradish in the 6th.
Oh my God it totally makes sense why Harvey Korman voiced the Dictabird in The Flintstones, it was a send up to The Great Gazoo!
DH making a drink with Dubonnet Rouge. I'm in here doing my best Harvey Korman impression: Dubon-NAY! DU-BON-NAY!!

The Old Doctor - Tim Conway and Harvey Korman: via . If laughter is the best medicine, we are all HEALTHY!!!
Now this is comedy my friends. The amazing Carol Burnett and Harvey Korman!!!
The boys and I are watching Blazing Saddles (it's their first time). I had to explain who Randolph Scott was, but not Hedley Lamarr, or Howard Johnson, or Candygrams. Even Sheryl Love, who finds almost nothing funny in a typical Mel Brooks film, made sure she caught every second of Lili Von Schtupp. Darth did ask if Harvey Korman managed to win Best Supporting Actor. I had to tell him it was DeNiro in II, and that Madeline Kahn got the only acting nomination.
Harvey Korman and Buddy Hackett played Abbott and Costello in a made-for-TV biopic.
Apparently Harvey Korman lost his no-hitter when Lyle Waggoner got an infield hit. Tim Conway is warming up in the bullpen.
Too funny!! "...in the Deep South, women learn at a young age that when the world is falling apart around you, it's time to take down the drapes and make a new dress."
Harvey Korman not being able to keep a straight face makes it even funnier.
This is, without a doubt, one of the funniest Dentist skits of all time! Tim Conway and Harvey Korman on the...
ARGH! THIS IS WRONG IN SEVERAL WAYS! I'm all for giving credit where it's due, especially to women whose contributions have been forgotten; but it does them no good to get it wrong. First, Ada Lovelace has a fair but not perfect claim to being the first PROGRAMMER, as the is the first person to write a program down for Charles Babbage's Analytical Engine. HE invented the engine itself. However, you could also claim that Babbage is the first programmer, since he obviously designed the machine to be programmable, or their collaborator Luigi Menabrea (Lovelace debugged one of his programs). Second, Hedy Lamarr did NOT inventing Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. She invented frequency-hopping, a system of changing frequencies that made it harder for an enemy to jam a radio-guided torpedo. This technology proved to be useful in other things, but saying she invented Wi-Fi is like saying Edison invented videotape because he developed a practical system for making and showing movies. Third, the Top Secret Rosies were no ...
My fav part of live shows: when Actors crack up e.g. Harvey Korman A lot of ppl would agree :)
Chuck Schumer looks a lot to me like Harvey Korman. It's a terrible thing to compare a brilliant man with a political hack.
I have lost the ability to tell jokes; I will die out laughing right in the middle of the punchline. I think I'm being haunted by the ghost of Harvey Korman.
Walking to my gate at Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International airport I was struck by the question... Which Jackson? Andrew? Stonewall? Reggie? Action?? Kate? Phil? And who the *** is this Hartsfield fellow for that matter? And why am I asking you? Said in my best Harvey Korman "Hedley Lamarr" voice.
The interaction between Harvey Korman and Tim Conway was always my favorite.
In a few minutes, I'll be wathing my favorite show. All Star Special this week with Harvey Korman, McLean Stevenson, Dennis Fry, and Ed Begley Jr. I love this show because I sometimes get the answers to the puzzles from one clue.
Tim Conway still cracks me up. He was known for making this stuff up as he went along. Put him with Harvey Korman and no one could keep a straight face.
Watched Mel Brooks AFI induction last night and laughed my a** off.. wow lot's of great movies and he is still hilarious. On the downside - so many of the actors in his movies have died and they were great.. Harvey Korman, Madeline Kahn, Cleavon Little, Alex Karras.. and the rest are (forgive me ) old. but those movies were great and make me laugh every time... congrats to Mel Brooks.
I am unsure skittish if this is true Hedy Lamarr invented blue tooth? Is there a time warp that worm hole she slid into? I am a man who has punch violently calculators. I am not an authority on this subject.
