*** I feel so jobless that I am making this damned cliched list!!!) Okay, I have been asked by Senthilmurugan to list my 10 favorite Books/ Book series. I really had no clue what to select... as for starters, I doubt if I have read 10 books :D Still I will try... The list compiles the books I had most fun reading, rather than the more engaging ones (So, a fair bit of Comic Strip authors find their way in :D ) * Collected Fiction _-_ Ruskin Bond * The First World War _-_ AJP Taylor * Europe in the 19th and 20th Century _-_ Eprahim Lipson * Jurassic Park & Lost World _-_ Micheal crichton * The Seven Ancient Wonders Series _-_ Matthew Reilly * Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince (and the rest of the Series as well. But this one stood out for me!) _-_ J.K. Rowling * Angels & Demons and The Da Vinci Code (and the related - The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail) _-_ Dan Brown (and Michael Baigent et al) * Animal Farm _-_ George Orwell * Tintin and Asterix Series _-_ Hergé, and René Goscinny & Albert Uderzo ...
Bonus list from me: top worst child actors: the ones who made me angry. 1. Jake Lloyd in The Phantom Menace - seriously. Between him and Jar Jar Binks... 2. Edward Furlong in Terminator 2 - ugh. That hair. That bratty look. Ugh. 3. Michael Oliver in Problem Child. I love John Ritter. But this kid was poison in this movie. 4 & 5 Ariana Richards and Joseph Mazello in Jurassic Park. Ugh. I loved JP but these kids could almost have singlehandedly ruined it. 6. Macaulay Culkin in Home Alone. I don't need to say more, do I? 7. Daniel Radcliffe in the first Harry Potter movie. Later, I think he improves. 8. Harvey Stevens in the Omen - another movie almost ruined by a child actor. 9. This one I never understood: Jonathan ke quan in Indy jones and the temple of doom. I liked him in The Goonies but he was terrible in this movie. :-/ 10. Mercifully I can't think of any others I have to mention for

In 20 days I'll be on my way to sunny Orlando with Chris Midgley. In preparation for this, we've begun to pre-nerd. So far we've watched all of the Jurassic Park movies and last night we spend 2 hours playing Harry Potter Lego World.
Also Lucius Malfoy from Harry Potter, and Dr Grant from Jurassic Park. Good cast!
John Towner Williams (born February 8, 1932) is an American composer, conductor and pianist. He is considered to be one of the greatest film composers of all time. APENAS MTA INVEJA DESSA PESSOA!!! I am a huge Friends and Harry Potter fan, which were the main reasons I wanted to go on the tour. At the start of the tour, our tour guide, Beau, asked the 10 or so other people in our group which shows/movies we liked best in order to make the tour more personal for us. I of course said Friends (and also Big Bang Theory), and he definitely mentioned these a lot throughout the 2.5-hour tour. We started off with the back lots, which are the sets they use for outdoor shooting. These included Hennessy Street (our guide mentioned a bunch of stuff filmed here but the only one I can remember is LMFAO's Party Rock Anthem music video), Tenement Street, Anytown USA, fake NYC, some residential suburban neighborhood streets, and the jungle (which was used for Jurassic Park!) Throughout this part of the tour he mentioned Pretty Little Liars a lot, since it's a show that WB is currently filming. Unfortunately, I don't watch the show so I didn't get any of the references. The WB back l ...
Imagine a beautiful, clear morning at Universal's Islands Of Adventure. You've arrived early (because you read Theme Park Insider!), and, for some reason, you decide to walk around the park the long way to get to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. As you walk through Jurassic Park, you slow down.…
Hey guys, I'm looking for some new book series to drown myself in... throw me some suggestions! Side note - if you were gonna mention... - Lord of the Rings - Harry Potter - Game of Thrones - Chronicles of Narnia - Jurassic Park - Sherlock Holmes (crap, I need to return that to Amelia...) ...I've already read all of 'em, so don't worry about those.

Fun Fact: Stephen Spielberg director of Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, Jaws, ET, Close Encounters of a Third Kind, and many more great films, was originally set to direct The Sorcerer's/Philosopher's Stone, he had to turn it down however when his close friend Stanley Kubrik, director of films like Eyes Wide Shut, A Clockwork Orange, 2001: A Space Odyssey, The Shining, and again, many other great film, passed away, and willed him his last film, A.I., which had yet to start production. Other Fun Fact: Chris Columbus the actual director of Sorcerer's/Philosopher's Stone, had been trying hard to get a Spider-Man movie under production, however when Spielberg left production on Harry Potter, Columbus jumped right on board. The original Spider-Man movie however would go on to be released a year after AI and Harry Potter, directed by a guy named Sam Raimi who's previous credits were films such as Darkman and the Evil Dead trilogy. Soda is not served at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Grab some at the Lost Continent or Jurassic Park first.
Driving 8-10 hours straight *** I don't know how truckers do it. Road trip conversations escalate quickly. No matter where you go in Orlando, you will see something that takes your breathe away. Everything you can need is within 20 minutes walking time, though I still recommend driving to the park itself. There is literally not enough time in one week to see everything around Universal Studios. The people who designed and built the Wizarding World of Harry Potter didn't get paid nearly enough for the amount of detail they put into it. HEADS UP! The Forbidden Journey has a ride at the end! There are signs posted that we didn't notice and Amanda had a slight panic attack and had to get off the ride the first time. (She eventually went back and had a great time.) You will regret every ride you didn't try. I spent 7 hours in WWoHP alone, and I don't suspect for a moment that I caught every Easter Egg. Apparently you can be too tall for a ride in Jurassic Park. Superheros are a .. ...
Disney World is great, as is Universal's Islands Of Adventure (Super Hero land, Jurassic Park, Harry Potter, Fantasy Port, gosh)

Did you know that Harry Potter and the philosophers stone was almost an animated film directed by Steven Spielberg (Jurassic Park, E.T), with the ever adorable Haley Joel Osment (best known as Sora in Kingdom Hearts/ or his ever famous line I see dead people from the sixth sense)? that would have been weird ~Raven
Confession 3: I love to read. No seriously... if you get me a book, any book, I will love you forever. I've read gregariously since I was about six. I like a little bit of everything. One of my favorite authors is JK Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter books. I love her writing style. I like Stephen King as well... and then there's Dean Koontz... Erma Bombeck and Lewis Grizzard, who wrote comedy (Grizzard was a southern comedic writer), mysteries, suspense, the Wesley Peterson series by Kate Ellis (these are mysteries, and ingenious ones as well), children's books, really anything. At the moment I'm reading a book once suggested to me, called So B. It by Sarah Weeks. Have I read anything I didn't like? Sure. Lord of the Flies is one. (And, no, GCHS sophomores, I will not give it away to you.) A couple of fanfics (Sweet Apple Massacres and Cheerilee's Garden) left bad tastes in my mouth. (Yes, I've read Cupcakes, and yes, I've read Rocket to Insanity. They're not that bad.) I read Jurassic Park and oth ...
At Islands Of Adventure today - some highlights... - Hugged a bloke called Bob - it was his 70th today and his family all had his face on their t-shirts. Just had to give the guy a hug to say congrats!! He seemed none the wiser... - Got asked for ID when buying a beer - at aged 37, that's pretty impressive. - Shouted "shake 'n bake" on every ride we went on ... and managed to get the staff to announce it on their tannoys to everyone on the ride numerous times. Loved that. - Soaked to the skin (literally) on Ripsaw Falls. - Harry Potter - the most amazing ride I've seen. Incredible. - The Hulk (3x), Jurassic Park, Spider-Man (4x), Harry Potter (2x), the Dragons, Ripsaw Falls, Doctor Doom's tower ... All in all a pretty full and fun day. Work seems an eternity away.
Well, we're leaving for Islands Of Adventure in fifteen minutes for three and a half hours of Jurassic Park and Harry Potter goodness. Then, at 6:30 we will brave Halloween Horror Nights. It was nice knowing you.
Day 6. Islands Of Adventure. Awesome. Dragon Challenge - scary. Harry Potter - absolutely amazingly brilliant. Seriously, words cannot describe how amazing it is! Butterbeer - yum yum. Jurassic Park - amazing and wet. Ripsaw Falls - fast and very wet. Bilge-Rat Barges - amazing fun and wet on an extreme scale. I come out the shower or bath drier than that! Spider-Man - fantastic. Hulk - amazingly fun. All in all, a fantastic day. Highlight of the day? Mum and dad saying to each other they've never had such a fun-filled day.
Peaky Blinders, an epic gangster saga, has started shooting in Birmingham, Leeds and Liverpool, boasting a distinguished cast that includes Cillian Murphy (Inception, The Wind That Shakes The Barley, 28 Days Later), Sam Neill (The Tudors, The Piano, Jurassic Park), Helen McCrory (Hugo, Harry Potter, The Queen). The cast also features Annabelle Wallis (Snow White And The Huntsman, The Tudors), Iddo Goldberg (Secret Diary Of A Call Girl) and Charlie Creed-Miles (Nil By Mouth, Wild Bill). The story begins in 1919 in the lawless slum neighbourhoods of post war Birmingham. Returning soldiers, newly-minted revolutionaries and criminal gangs all fight for survival in an industrial landscape gripped by economic upheaval. Guns smuggled home from the trenches find their way onto the streets and become lethal currency. Communists don't just dream of revolution - they are planning for it and the Government is expecting it. As Churchill mobilizes his Special Branch forces, illegal bookmakers make fortunes in speak- ...

Today I went to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter!! It was great.everything I expected and more...and butter beer is wonderful! Even hit Jurassic Park and Spiderman and had dinner at Bubba Gump...what a day!!!
Today's review is for the 1997 film " Event Horizon " starring Laurence Fishburne ( Predators ), Sam Neill ( Jurassic Park ), Kathleen Quinlan ( Twilight Zone-The Movie ), Joely Richardson ( The Day Of The Triffids-2009 remake ), Richard T. Jones ( Judging Amy ), Sean Pertwee ( Dog Soldiers ) and Jason Isaacs ( Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix ). The year is 2047 and the rescue vessel Lewis and Clark is sent on a mission to find the first " faster than light speed " starship the Event Horizon that disappeared seven years earlier during her first mission and has now returned in a decaying orbit around Neptune. Once on board the Event Horizon, the crew of the rescue ship become stranded when the Lewis and Clark is destroyed. Now the seemingly empty ship begins to come alive and the survivors are killed off one by one. As their numbers dwindle, the remaining survivors realize a horrifying truth- that the Event Horizon has gone to a place far beyond space and time, a realm of pure evil and now that i ...
Fanboy's Dream! Great evening of music with Yakima Symphony Orchestra celebrating the birthday and music of John Williams! Music composer for films Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, ET, Jaws, Harry Potter, etc. !!!
I may not like the new Doctor much but I do like the references to other SciFi/Fantasy movies in the Dinosaurs on a Spaceship episode. Harry Potter, Jurassic Park, The Fifth Element with a bit of Indiana Jones. I admit it. I'm a geek and I'm proud of it.
Tonight is opening night of the Yakima Symphony Orchestra's Pops series. The program is all John Williams, an 80th Birthday Celebration--Star Wars, ET, Jurassic Park, Raiders, Jaws, Harry Potter, Superman, etc. I'll start the program by playing and conducting Williams' arrangement of Fiddler on the Roof, which is really what launched his brilliant career. 7:30 pm at The Capitol Theatre.

Full day at Universal Orlando starting with Harry Potter: The Forbidden Journey at IOA. I will officially not make the Quidditch team. Checked out some big coasters (Amanda's finally tall enough!!), caught a few special effects shows, engaged in rock climbing and water wars in Jurassic Park, and got vertical at Fearfall. Then over to Universal Studios for Rip Ride Rockit (Evanescence is now classic rock??), Revenge of the Mummy and Men In Black (Jlo outscored Sam *for once*). On to Busch Gardens Tampa tomorrow to drop Sam at Adventure Camp--bye bye teenager :-)

Alright everyone, what movies do you still remember seeing in theatres? I still remember seeing a few Pixar movies, Star Wars Episode 1, Jurassic Park 3, Men In Black 2, the 2002 re-release of Beauty and the Beast, Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter 1 - 3, and others! What movies do you remember in theatres?
Ladies and gentlemen, today I'm off to Universal Studios and going on things like Harry Potter, Spiderman, Jurassic Park, and many more! Drinking a refreshing margarita, staying cool by the pool, and one badass day at Universal... tell me, what could be more exciting? Go ahead, try... XD
We are going to Universal Studios in 11 days so to countdown we are going to watch all of the Universal movies (except Harry Potter) for the attractions we want to visit at the parks. To get things started Jurassic Park!
Just finished watching "Midway", and notice John Williams wrote the music. Had to check to see what all he did the music for, and turns out he pretty much wrote the music to everything. Indiana Jones, Star Wars, The Patriot, Harry Potter, Saving Private Ryan, Schindler's List, Jurassic Park, Home Alone, ET, Midway, Cowboys, Heidi, Gilligan's Island, Wagon Train, and many many more. Was very supprised to find out his first movie was Daddy-O, a movie so bad it was used on Mystery Science Theater.
With Walt Disney Pictures reporting another $29 million estimated gross for Marvel's The Avengers for Friday, the movie has grossed $299 million to date domestically and is looking to cross the $300 million mark sometime today. It's also looking to destroy the current second weekend record for a movie, currently held by James Cameron's Avatar with $75.6 million as well as The Dark Knight's second weekend take of $75.2 million as projections have it bringing in as much as $100 million in its second weekend, down roughly 51% from its record opening. Worldwide, the movie has grossed $854 million through yesterday, which should put it among the Top 20 all-time global blockbusters by weekend's end, placing it in the realm of Jurassic Park and some of the "Harry Potter" movies after a little over two weeks. but also one of the biggest blockbusters of all time.
Final tally: Hulk 3x, Fear Fall, Spiderman 1.75x (it broke down near the end), Jurassic Park 3x, Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey 2x, Flight of the Hippogriff, and Dragon Challenge 3x. Lunch at the Three Broomsticks and watched a wand choose its owner at Ollivanders. It's been a busy day!
No, he didn't. It was Christophe Beck. John Williams did Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, Harry Potter(1-3), etc. lol ;)
Universal Studios > Disney because it has Harry Potter World, ET Ride and a Jurassic Park simulation & no false dreams and dumb characters.
John Williams (wrote the film score for a buttload of movies, just to name a few- in case you're not familiar of who he is. All 6 Star Wars films, all Indiana Jones films, first 2 Jurassic Park films, first 3 Harry Potter films) or Howard Shore's Lord Of The Rings film score???
For Gaga's birthday, today I sang "Marry The Night" in Harry Potter and put my paws up on Jurassic Park :P
