Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix dir. David Yates (2007)
Crap. Nobody tell Warner Bros what David Yates had done before they handed him the Harry Potter franchise.
It's alright, found it. It was David Yates (of Harry Potter fame)
Interestingly, David Yates test screened some of the Harry Potter films in Chicago, & attended at least 1 screening himself.
Wishing a very happy birthday to David Yates who directed the last 4 Harry Potter films.
Warner Bros. have confirmed that the new Film Series, written by J.K. Rowling and featuring the magical creatures and characters inspired by Harry Potter's Hogwarts textbook 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' and its fictitious author, Newt Scamander, will be a trilogy, with release dates of 2016, 2018, and 2020. The studio has also confirmed that the films, set in the Wizarding World but predating Harry Potter himself, will be directed by David Yates and will reunite the filmmaking team of David Heyman, J.K. Rowling, Steve Kloves and Lionel Wigram.
David Yates has a stylistic flair with the last few Harry Potter films, but he ruined Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince as an adaption.

Harry Potter director David Yates is set to direct a comic book movie for Fox
Harry Potter's David Yates to Direct FX Drama Pilot Tyrant Harry Potter director David Yates is set to helm FX's upcoming drama pilot Tyrant, THR reports. Yates is stepping in to replace two-time Academy Award-winner Ang Lee, who was scheduled to direct the prestige-filled pilot from from Homeland creators Howard Gordon and Gideon Raff and Craig Wright (Six Feet Under, Lost). Tyrant follows "an unassuming American family drawn into the workings of a turbulent Middle Eastern nation." Lee backed out the the project earlier this month due to exhaustion, saying, "It is one of the most brilliant ideas for a series that I’ve seen and one about which I was very excited. However, after spending over four years making and promoting Life of Pi, I have recently realized that I need some rest."
I think David Yates did a good job in the last 4 Harry Potter films, except for The Half-Blood Prince film, which was really unsatisfying
Fact Christian Coulson, who played Tom Riddle in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, expressed an interest in returning as Riddle for this film, but David Yates felt that Coulson was too old for the role, being nearly 30 in 2008/9.
David Yates is the first director since Chris Columbus to make more than one Harry Potter film.
Deathly Hallows Part 2 wins "Best Film" at Empire Awards: Daniel Radcliffe's video message I had not posted thhos before becouse I waited for Empire to upload the video od Daniel's acceptance (which is added below), but Harry Potter and Deathly Hallows Part 2 won Best Film at the Jameson Empire Awards this past Sunday also David Yates won best director for Harry Potter and Deathly Hallows Part 2 (Daniel did not won best actor, but Gary Oldman did, he is probably also happy for that) Evanna Lunch, David Yates, Bonnie Wright, Jamine Canibell Bouer, Gary Oldman, Helena Bonham Carter & Mattew Lewis did attend the event. Daniel couldn't be there becouse of filming Kill Your Darlings, but see his video mesage below. Hear's another part of what he said: "I'd like to thank the Empire readers for voting for us. I've always been quite a harsh judge of the series, but I was over the moon with this final film; I think we went out ona high note."
Tom Hardy has revealed that shooting Mad Max: Fury Road was an unforgettable experience. The Dark Knight Rises star plays Max Rockatansky in George Miller's upcoming fourth instalment of the series, which also stars Charlize Theron and Nicholas Hoult. "It was an amazing experience. It's a big, live-action, fully articulated stunts piece, which picks up where we left off with the Mel Gibson Mad Max and takes it to the next level," he said at the English National Ballet's Christmas performance of The Nutcracker. Tom, who appeared as Batman's arch-nemesis Bane in Christopher Nolan's third Batman film this year, also confirmed that he is set to play Al Capone in a film called Cicero by Harry Potter filmmaker David Yates. "Yes that is true, but it's a question of when. And who with, and how that works. But that is in the works," he continued. "It's just a question of what comes first, who writes what and who's directing." He also joked about his plans for 2013 - with a mountain climb on the list. "I intend to ...
I don't think Harry Potter would of been as big as it is if David Yates, Chris Columbus, Alfonso Cuaron and Mike Newell didn't direct it.
In October of 2011, Deadline.com reported that Ben Affleck was Warner Bros. top choice to direct an adaptation of Stephen King's "The Stand." The news was somewhat shocking in those pre-"Argo" days, if only because some two months earlier, HitFix reported that "Harry Potter" director David Yates was...
'Harry Potter' director David Yates set for 'Tarzan' reboot. Looks like either Tom Hardy or Kellan Lutz for the lead:
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows director David Yates will helm Warner Bros' new adaptation of Edgar Rice Burrogh's Tarzan, Vulture reports. Henry Cavill, Charlie Hunnam, Alexander Skarsgård, & Tom Hardy are all under consideration for the titular role.
Tom Hardy, Henry Cavill among those eyed for Tarzan role as Harry Potter's David Yates commits to direct
After kicking around handful of options at Warner Bros. including the drama "Your Voice In My Head," the thriller "The Imitation Game" and potential gangster epic "Cicero," 'Harry Potter' helmer David Yates has finally settled on "Tarzan" as his next project. The decision has slowly been coming over...
David Yates, director of the last four Harry Potter films has confirmed that his next project will be taking on Warner Brother's big screen adaptation of Tarzan. No actors are yet signed on but WB really has their eye on Tom Hardy but who's to say he'd play such a roll?
So the possible Doctor Who movie might be a "reboot" and directed by David Yates(he made the last 4 Harry Potter movies). Why would you wanna discontinue almost 50 years of entertainment, dumb it down, and "Hollywood" it up for the typical, dumb American audience? $10 says they'll probably replace David Yates with Paul W.S. Anderson(Mortal Kombat and the Resident Evil movies), cast Robert Pattinson as The Doctor but then instead of having The Doctor as the main hero, gets his wife Mila Jovovich casted as some random chick named...you guessed it, Alice!

Matt Smith may have revealed in an interview a few things. 1) we may be about 4 to 5 years off from a Doctor Who movie, 2) he will not be in the movie, 3) Matt Smith is likely leaving after the 50th Anniversary, and 4) there is talk of Harry Potter director, David Yates, making the film. What do you think? via Blastr

Percy Jackson is gonna be like Harry Potter. Chris Columbus screws up first films, David Yates comes and saves the series. Hopefully.
Rick Riordan should've sold Percy Jackson to WB and ask for David Yates as the producer He did an AMAZING job with Harry Potter just saying.
The Harry Potter movies are slightly misleading. Throughout all of them, they never make mention of Nagini being anything more than Voldemort's pet, and when the Deathly Hallows: Part II comes around, part of Voldemort's soul, which was hidden inside Rowena Ravenclaw's diadem, was destroyed, he shuddered and killed one of his followers, immediately after, he says: "Come Nagini, I must keep you safe." then apperating to the boat house to meet Lucius. If you haven't read the books, then you can be falsely lead to believe that Voldemort didn't create the final Horcrux until the Battle of Hogwarts, since to split your soul requires you to commit the worst sin, murdering someone. So, in short: To create a Horcrux you must kill someone, recite an incantation, and put your now fragmented soul into an animate or inanimate object; since I didn't read the books, I never knew Nagini had been a Horcrux since before Harry was born. Thank you for screwing me up David Yates. Oh well, it was still awesome.
I don't love what David Yates did with Harry Potter, but how great is Maggie Smith.
Chris Columbus is my favorite Harry Potter director. I wish he directed the rest of the series. David Yates doesn't even compare.
David Yates (Harry Potter) and Gary Ross (The Hunger Games) are among the directors said to be circling one of Warner Bros.' dual 'Tarzan' movies.
Even though Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 is arguably my favourite film of all time, I still kinda feel David Yates let me down once again :/
so, John Carter Directed by Andrew Stanton & Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Directed by David Yates
Emma Watson is set to star in 'Your Voice in My Head' directed by Harry Potter director David Yates.
I will never forgive David Yates that he removed the scene with Viktor Krum from Harry Potter 7.1
I think Steven Moffat should claim he's making a Harry Potter tv series, then keep saying it at every opportunity, just to annoy David Yates
