Oakland County schools are going green in greater numbers! One hundred ninety-one Oakland County schools have earned the Michigan ‘Green School’ designation. To celebrate, representatives of Oakland County’s Green Schools gathered at Oakland Schools last week to receive an official Michigan Green School flag and a certificate signed by L. Brooks Patterson, Oakland County Executive and Dr. Vickie L. Markavitch, Superintendent of Oakland Schools.   To be designated a Michigan Green School, K-12 schools must successfully undertake a minimum of 10 out of 20 environmentally friendly activities prescribed by state law and submit an application. This year, 100 schools received the special designation of Evergreen Schools by successfully earning points for extra activities; 40 schools will be recognized for five years of participation.   Fifty-two schools received the Emerald status, and 39 schools received their Green Schools designation (with 15 new schools joining the program!). FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:   June 7, 2013   CONTACT: Michelle Rehwinkel Vasilinda (850) 717-5009     High Performing Schools = High Performing Kids   TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –State Representative Michelle Rehwinkel Vasilinda (D) joined the Center for Green Schools and the U.S. Green Building Council and 30 other state lawmakers for the 2013 Green Schools State Legislative Summit this week in Washington, D.C. The workshop brought together lawmakers and stakeholders from the education sector for two days of idea generation, best-practice sharing and communications training to advance the benefits of healthy, high-performing schools in their communities.   “We learned of a school in Richardsville, Kentucky, that is so energy efficient that they had no utility bill and in addition produced enough excess energy from the solar panels on the school's rooftop, that they earned $38,000 last year! That's common sense! Governor Rick Scott is so competitive with Texas, but it looks like Kentucky is setti ...

Blissing Out: 10 Relaxation Techniques To Reduce Stress On-the-Spot If your hectic lifestyle has got you down, experts say relaxation techniques can bring you back into balance -- some in five minutes or less. The kids need a ride to school, your husband can't find his shorts, your boss has just scheduled an online meeting, and your best friend desperately needs your help -- all at the same time. Is it any wonder that you can't find a minute for relaxation? In fact, if you're like most women, you may have even forgotten how to relax. And though experts say that some stress is good for you -- it can sharpen your senses and your mind -- too much stress is bad for your mental and physical health. At the same time, relaxation can do wonders to restore balance in your life -- and may even reduce some of the health risks associated with stress. WebMD talked to the experts to learn more about relaxation -- and how to attain it. What follows are 10 on-the-spot techniques you can use -- any time and almost anywher ...

In the past 120 years, the property at 149 Maple Avenue has seen many changes. In the late 1800’s, the property was purchased by Alanson F. Dietz, one of Altamont’s most prominent businessmen. As a teenager, Mr. Dietz started a root beer brewing and distribution business in Guilderland Center, and in his twenties, he moved the business to the property at 149 Church Street, now Maple Avenue, in Altamont. He built buildings behind the residence necessary to the thriving business, including a processing and bottling plant, and structures for his horses and delivery wagons. In 1909 he retired from business and sold the bottling works to Eugene and Montford Sand, who moved the bottling company to their property on Park Street. Mr. Dietz died August 6, 1932. His widow Anna lived in the house until the 40’s, but after she left, the property remained vacant for approximately 20 years. In 1961, after being granted authorization by the Albany County Supreme Court, the Village Board had all the derelic ...
Keeps seeing so many posts about dogs that are abused/needing new homes on here it's so feckin depressing . Think properly before getting a dog, (dogs are for LIFE not just for Christmas) make a law that says no more puppies anywhere until all homeless dogs are re homed and bring back a licence, on the spot fine if caught walking a dog without being registered. the problems not going to fix itself and innocent animals can't help themselves, we have to. Responsible pet lovers won't have a prob gettin their pet micro chipped and signin a bit of paper as proof and there's plenty of ridiculously paid mps, get them to walk the streets to dish out the fines.make harsher punishments for the *** that feel its ok to use dogs as another way to gamble their money on fighting or take pictures of themselves holding their dog up to the wall by its neck and find it funny. That should be enough proof to dish out some cleaning public loos community service ,picking up dog crap from all our streets(that's a whole n ...
Why Not Just Rename S.F. The Big Apple? Debra J. Saunders Ruth Asawa's "San Francisco Fountain" owes Apple big time. Before the tech behemoth announced its plans to plop a slick, glassy Apple Store where Levi's and the fountain plaza reside, many locals were blithely unaware of the bronze landmark. Mayor Ed Lee apparently forgot about it when he cozied up to Apple execs announcing their plans to bulldoze (in effect) and build over the northeast corner of San Francisco's Union Square. The fountain -- which features iconic Ess Eff landmarks molded by school children and other city folk in baker's clay, then memorialized in bronze -- is in an ugly red brick plaza off Stockton Street. The plaza and fountain were built in tandem, but in 1973, when people thought avocado-colored appliances were classy. There's a typo in the first sentence of the fountain's plaque. ("Visitor's come," it begins.) Only after Chronicle urban design critic John King wrote that the new Apple box would "displace one of downtown's frie ...

asylum and amnesty demand and demo at Sergel Square. Instead of grilling in the fantastic outdoor weather, or taking part in the royal celebration at Skansen, 500 people gathered today at Sergel Square in a manifestation of the Asylum Movement Stockholm to demand a general amnesty for refugees. It was a nationwide protest today, with demonstrations held around Sweden. The atmosphere was electric when the requirements for amnesty were echoed and live music provided by a folk troubadour Jan Hammer and the African dance group Wombere performed between speakers. - Today, during the Swedish National Day, rallies for refugee amnesty were in Boden, Sundsvall, Gävle, Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö and Borås. Asylum Movement Stockholm demands not only refugee amnesty - We demand equal rights to health, education and the Swedish collective agreement. And we do not mean the right to health care and education Riksdag in effect from July 1 - where the right to health care for undocumented adults is limited to the fuz ...

"I saw a man with tattoo on his big fat belly It wiggled around like marmalade jelly It took me a while to catch what it said 'Cause I had to match the rhythm of his belly with my head" Like if you know what song this is from. Everyone from the Bible bowl team should know this one.
Had a blow on a yellow plastic trombone today at the royal Cornwall show, courtesy of Trevada music from Camborne. Light as a feather. Easy to blow. Good intonation. Much better than its £119 price tag suggests. Perfect for student/school and for marching jobs. Shame you can't get an orchestral bore instrument. The alto trombone is just as good, especially the green one I tried.
Epiphany!!! There IS such a thing as too much stimulation!! Sitting at starbucks on Houston st. After a trenta iced coffee and a double tall vanilla latte (becasue I was freezing from the iced coffee) I can no longer focus on homework. I keep looking over at visionworks trying to figure out if I really need to get new glasses, but then I saw an AWESOME pair of kelly green hightop chucks and quickly lost interest in my fictional new glasses thinking about where to buy...oh look there's Duane Chimney...I know him!! Perhaps next week I'll just study at school where it is peaceful and realatively distraction free.

Dear Joe, Some days are better than others but it still feels like being shattered. It has been a sobering experience being the surviving parent. I’m often consumed wondering why this had to happen to our family. MaTid says it will get easier to live with but the pain will never stop. The responsibility seems so much greater now that you’re gone. It literally feels like being a dog on point every minute having to be so careful in everything I do. It’s frightening & exhausting. Jaime & Ashton watch every move I make, making sure I’m ok, that I’m coming home, & they won’t go very far for long away from me. It’s agony that our children have to feel that way. I feel like my back up, my buddy, my favorite person to antagonize (lol) is gone. You can have all the support in the world but it’s not the same. And between our families, friends, & loved ones, we have had a lot of appreciated support. But it’s not the same because it’s not you. Every decision to be made feels ultimately mine & ...
Topic: Summer Reading 2013 Everyone is required to read a book over the summer since it may be the focus of a test, essay, or project in the upcoming Fall semester. As you know our school is highly populated, so the availability of books for everyone is limited. So I wanted to give you guys some advice: - If you want to borrow the book from your Public Library, then I recommend you to do so immediately because there is usually a very long waiting list! - If you want to order the book then do so immediately since it takes time to ship. - If you want to buy the book from a store then do so immediately because the store may run out. (If you notice, there's a theme, "DO SO IMMEDIATELY") Also, if you are going away for vacation, you will still be held accountable for your responsibility to read the book, so take care of it before you leave. Here's the list: ~ Incoming Freshman Vaclav and Lena by Haley Tanner Left to Tell by Immaculee Iibagiza The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan (recommended for struggling read ...

If it's too difficult for you to collect tickets from the Hall, please contact me personally. I'm hoping some former staff and associates will be attending. To those of you who wanted to know which school years this applies to ~ what was in my mind when organising this, was from say 1988 onwards i.e. the pupils that I knew. Perhaps I could leave any earlier date than that, for someone else to organise. All of you who have already indicated an interest,(about 50 of you) please send word around and publicise it and involve others too. The night will consist of an initial welcome and meeting up; a half hour's Thanksgiving Service, (rather like a school assembly); a cold buffet; and a chance to chat; and the last hour will be a disco of sorts ...
We decided last night to take a drive up to Puerto Lopez, Ecuador (our land lord recommended it). It is a huge city (they call it a village) with a great produce and household goods market. But mostly, it is a fishing and tourism village. We got in the car at around 10 and started on our journey. We traveled south (the exact opposite of Puerto Lopez) and headed to Montanita to use the ATM (both of which were down, which is kind of humorous because our land lord said the night before "always keep some cash on you because the atms go down") and get a foam cooler. No luck on either item, so we stopped in Olon on our way back north and picked up the cooler and some cold drinks. It is still breakfast time so I looked at the prepackaged pastries the small grocery store had. TWINKIES! I almost danced a jig there in the middle of the store, but the floor is slick, and my cane doesn't have a rubber foot on it. I was very happy though, finding the Ecuadorian copy of the Hostess Twinkie. I think it was called a Bonk ...

Clemson's School of Architecture has three Foreign Exchange programs: one in Barcelona, one in Genova, and one in Charleston. This is what Clemson - and all the various local Professional Preservation groups - wants to build in the Heart of Charleston's world-renowned Historic District to be their Headquarters. Doesn't it look like Clemson's been studying Charleston's architecture and urbanism closely all these years? And what a chance to build a school of architecture - to show off everything they've been learning about what makes Charleston so special! What do the Professional Preservationists think they are preserving? It's absolutely counter to Charleston's Preservation Ordinance - THE LAW OF THE LAND - which calls for "continued construction of buildings in the historic styles and a general harmony as to style, form, color, proportion, texture and material between buildings of historic design and those of more modern design; that such purpose is advanced through the preservation and protection of the ...

It was market day today. Since I was late getting ready most of the trucks had already gone by when I got to the bus stop. I waited for the bus while farmers from the mountain came down with their pack horses loaded with produce. One farmer had two bags of tree tomatoes, he told me they were worth $40 a bag. Another one had two pack horses with three hundred pounds of coffee, coffee is now $2. pound for green. One horses had 2 hundred pounds and the other had the farmer and one hundred pounds. When I took his picture he jokingly told me it would cost me $5 for the photo. When the bus came it was filled with people standing on the steps, but they just pushed to the back of the bus and made room for three more, and had two more stops to make which added 5 more people. There was no need to hang on, you could not have fallen down if you tried. I was going to go to the bank, but the people were lined up outside onto the street to do their banking so I decided I would try another day. First I went to the l ...

Most of my seniors have completed their high school year as of today. Got a very nice note that one wrote to his English teacher about me, and it choked me up. This kid is like my son, and he sure made me feel that way in the letter. I wish all of the graduates nothing but the best. It is my hope that they will all be productive members of society, and begin to restore some of the American greatness that we have been slowly losing. They have the tools, but they need a new toughness, focus, and determination that they are not necessarily equipped with, rather they will have to find these things. I'll send up those prayers, and may the Good Lord bring them to fruition! Some of the best advice I have heard from a great man, and mentor, General Sam V. Wilson: (1) "Do right and shame the Devil." (His Mother's advice to him before he shipped off for basic training at age 16), and (2) "As long as you know you are green you will grow, but as soon as you think you are ripe you are rotten." (His dad's favorite sayi ...

3.30 I picked Ash up, he asks me if I have any green clothes? 'Why?' I ask. 'Because i need to dress up as Robin Hood for school tomorrow.' He says. Yeah, thanks for that Ashley :/ 3 hours of painting, gluing and sewing later he's dead chuffed with his costume! Might even get a pic in the morning.
Today our oldest granddaughter graduated from 5th grade and will move up in to middle school. It brings tears of joy to my eyes to hear about the all the awards, ribbons, recognition and honors she received today! Kassara Green, you are beautiful, amazing, smart and very talented. A listener has gotten in contact about the state of Sandymount beach at the moment. She said that the last straw was when she saw dirty nappies thrown on the beach about 10 feet from the bin along with beer cans, food wrappers and bottles. Have you noticed beaches and parks being wreaked during the good weather? TEXT 53981.
Real MOM Question: I need advice...I have two girls age 2 and 3. They have been sick over the past 4 weeks very sporatic with virus like symptoms. Usually vomiting during the night and waking up fine. My 3 year old has only done it twice (two weeks apart, and only once with fever) but my two year old has been sick almost every 4 days. Only twice with fever. They aren't having milk and I cannot think of any other allergies they could have. Anyone every heard of this? A virus lingering or are they getting the same thing over and over? The Dr only says a virus but we are going tomorrow to try to get more answers. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced something like this?
Renegades dont forget about our car wash this Saturday from 8:00am-12:00pm at O'Reilly's on 83rd Ave Indian School. We will also be selling green chili burritos. Hope to see you there!
How terribly sad and true is this?? ""New Pledge of Allegiance" ~ "Now I sit me down in school Where praying is against the rule For this great nation under God Finds mention of Him very odd. If scripture now the class recites, It violates the Bill of Rights. And anytime my head I bow Becomes a Federal matter now. Our hair can be purple, orange or green, That's no offense; it's a freedom scene.. The law is specific, the law is precise. Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice. For praying in a public hall Might offend someone with no faith at all.. In silence alone we must meditate, God's name is prohibited by the state. We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks, And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks... They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible. To quote the Good Book makes me liable. We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen, And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King. It's 'inappropriate' to teach right from wrong, We're taught that such 'judgments' do not belong.. We can get our condoms and birth controls, ...
Times have changed so quickly . When I was a teenager texting crazy stuff never even entered my mind not to mention the phone I had didn't have no camera until i start paying that bill myself lbvs. Maybe that's the problem, stop giving kids adult phones and maybe they won't do or get ahold to so much craziness. Could be wrong but I know kyndall will not have the hottest phone out at 12 years old ijs

When and how did you introduce solids to your nursling? A leaky asks: "EBF, will be 6 months on the 16th. Today at her wellness exam, pedi suggested one tablespoon a day, baby cereal either rice or oatmeal mixed with breast milk. I have heard of skipping cereal altogether and just starting with mashed soft foods (avocado, yams, banana)...pedi said cereal is a necessary first, because of the loss of iron stores in breast milk at this time. Recommended a tablespoon a day to start. What are other breastfeeding mamas doing in regards to cereal and solids? I've heard not to rush on solids in the first year and also that they are important to begin now. So, which/what is it? One last thing. It makes sense to me to avoid cereals, as grains aren't super healthy for our bodies' nutrition. That's what I try to do for my own health, is avoid grains. So why would it be a good first food for my baby?"
Softball cancelled, ichiban for dinner again? Sure why not!
Em Whid Emma Whid was born and raised in Norwalk, Ohio, a small town in northern Ohio, located directly between Toledo and Cleveland. She credits a lot of her success to how she was raised and especially the influence of her grandmother, who owned her own business. Emma describes her grandmother as “a very strong woman.” Even from her early years, Em knew she wanted to be successful in life and to find her own way. After high school, Em began her college career at Heidelberg University, a small liberal arts college in Tiffin, OH. While attending college, she began her modeling career as a ring girl to earn extra money. At the fights, some other people began offering her additional job experiences in modeling, and that was when her career began to take off Although Em is only 5’3” tall, she was determined to prove that a woman did not have to be 6’ and a size 0 in order to be a successful model. And prove it she has! Although she is only 23 years old, she has been modeling now for five year ...

15+ years ago I began a journey and a relationship with music. Music has been an incredible force and vehicle in my life for building and experiencing amazing opportunities and relationships. Today, I am happy to say that I get the opportunity to give this experience back! I will be following in the footsteps of an amazing and loved teacher, Mr. Green as the new band director for Truckee High School. I am so excited and thankful for everything in life that brings us to the present and I am so proud to be accepting this new opportunity!
The summer time will be the only time I will ever say I wish we lived up north like Michigan or Montana. I really wish the rain would stop. I don't like feeling cooped up. On that note mamas I need some fun games to play with Ethan and my nephew.
Everybody else is posting about their last day at Southwood. I guess I'll take a shot at it. I mean, YOLO, right? I was intimidated by the thought of middle school. I thought that it wouldn't be as fun as Coral Reef had been. The majority of my teachers had told me that middle school would be difficult, and that I would have to try extremely hard if I wanted to succeed. The thought of middle school being hard and the middle school teachers being mean were not exactly encouraging. However, this mindset did not last very long. The teachers weren't the anti-happiness monsters that I imagined they would be. Mr. Leone was always chill, Mrs. Snow and Mrs. Dillon would always be in a great mood, Mrs. Traylor would always joke around with her students, and Mr. Bejarano was constantly telling funny stories about his high school/college years (Back when he had blonde hair!). At the end of sixth grade, I expected the amount of fun I had to start dropping. The opposite eventually happened. At first, the amount of fun ...

ALL SCHOOL PTO MEETING: Come join our meeting TONIGHT at Wethersfield Library and help plan a fun end of summer event for families from all the elementary schools. Wethersfield Elementary Schools (WES): WES was formed in August of 2012 specifically for parents (and teachers are welcome) of Elementary School PTOs. The goal is to provide PTO parents an opportunity to share fundraising, recruiting, enrichment program and communication ideas beyond their own schools. Another goal of this group is to hold an annual (if possible) combined event for students from all the elementary schools. This group was formed with the intent of holding one or two combined PTO meetings per year. The first meeting was held last August at Pine Acres and was very well received. The second WES meeting will be held on Thursday night, June 6th at 7:00 p.m. in the Community Conference Room at the Wethersfield Public Library (children’s floor). We will be sharing experiences from this past school year as well as planning a picni ...
**ATTENTION** Children need our help! There are concerns regarding the music program at PCHS and the threat of becoming the victim of budget cuts. We (the parents, family amd friends) are trying to secure the music program and requesting that everyone that has ever played in the band or sang in the choir (past, present and future) to please come out and help support the PCHS Band Monday night 7pm @ South Polk Elementary School. The more supporters that show up the bigger voice we have. Even if you dont have a child in the music program but you enjoy the 1/2 time shows at the football games or the sound of music at each touchdown or even the spirit songs that are played in the stands please help us secure that the children will be able to continue this tradition. Please help spread the word by sharing this post-Our Children need our support! Thank you

Ok guys. Need new ideas for boring London broil. How do you prepare it? And I don't have a grill. Unfortunately.
Well, I have been checking a lot of things off of my bucket list lately. Number 34: Have a wonderful primary school staff sing goodbye to you to the tune of green acres since you are leaving for Kentucky: Video here and words to be posted next. Bucket list 35 is to dunk a basketball. Oh well, you can't have everything.what great people. What simply wonderful people I have met and have grown to love over seventeen years. Cade said something to me this morning on the way to daycare and it's been bugging me all day, so I feel the need to say this... I'll say it once, then I'll get off my soapbox and be done: If you, as a grown adult, choose to be prejudiced and ignorant, then keep it to yourself and don't pass that backwards, ignorant way of thinking onto your kids, because when you do, they go to school and corrupt my kids with your same hateful, intolerant, small-minded thinking and lead them to belive it's okay to make an issue over someone's ethnicity. So for the record, I don't care if you're white, brown, black, green or purple, I'll show you respect and consideration regardless, and I'll choose to be acquainted with you based on your CHARACTER, not your skin color, and my kids will KNOW to do the same! Suggested reading for the day, (for those of you who may need it) - Acts 10:34-35 - "Then Peter began to speak: 'I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism, but accepts from every nation the one w . ...
So sad that Emily adores a particular girl at school who takes advantage of her, lies to her, and manipulates her. Emily is so trusting and faithful that she continues to believe everything this little girl says including the lie that this girl is a vampire, she has 100 grandmas, and she can fly. Today Emily gave her a necklace because the girl said that they wouldn't be friends anymore if she didn't. I got the necklace back but only later discovered that Emily gave her the ribbon that she earned for becoming a good reader because the girl demanded it. I texted her mom saying that we want it back
I have two items for you. First is a video produced by Media Matters on Right Wing Science. I especially love Bill Nye’s facial expressions as he is assailed with unbelievable stupidity: And now, also from Media Matters, this fun infographic. Share it around!
The Rich Rapper and the Poor Pianist by Timothy RJ Eveland Welcome to the tale of two artists; one with a thirst for taste, the other with a taste for thirst. As I lead you through the lives of these two magnificent beings you will notice the immense differences in their lives. The story begins in a small, yet quickly growing western village located in this new vast world currently known as America. Most of the citizens here have recently swarmed in from Europe. This was a time period of hard work and little play. Even the children would work long hours with little reward. But since the land was fresh and new, many people became rich by harvesting its resources. The richer a man was, it seemed, the more time he could spend to himself. A lot of these rich men need sources for entertainment, and that’s were our old poor pianist comes in. This talented, elderly man has dedicated his whole life to the piano. He is lonely, yet so very patient. Never satisfied, he quenches with an urgent thirst for taste. In ...
Messing with the 5D... if folks would learn photography, there'd be far less need for all these menu items... Please stop just accepting what the camera decides it wants to give you, demand from the camera what you want to see... a painter doesn't let the brush decide what kind of brush stroke is required...

Ok I'm tired of hearing how Chi created their team thru the draft and Miami bought their team. Can you please tell me when Chicago drafted paxson, Sally, Kerr, Harper, longley, or Rodman ill help you. Never they got them thru FA. Jordan was great in his time but he never went against a 6'8 man that was quick and strong matter of fact Jordan at 6'6 was matched up with some of the best guards at the time Johnson 6'1, Starks 6'3, price 6', dumars 6'3, Stockton 6'1, Payton 6'4, just to name a few. Now almost every NBA team has guard or guards over 6'6 so he wouldn't be able to use his size advantage as much. While the best player ever is doing whatever he wants in the NBA right now.
Can't thank Hyland software company enough !!! We appreciated the warm welcome and look forward to our next visit ! Many thanks !!!
On a roll with a pet peeve: The misuse of the word done. An example" I done called so-and-so." or "I done washed the windows", worse yet; "I done did the dishes." Grammar was taught in primary school and continued through graduation. Poor use of our English language is unacceptable. It portrays a serious lack on intellect. Done is called the past participle of the verb do, and done needs a helper word like have or had when used as a verb. Use it correctly or do not use it all. I am tired of lazy English users.

A press release has been issued by Hayes MP John McDonnel. The press release reads as follows: Council Has Submitted Planning Application to Build on Botwell Common/Lake Farm Country Park Local MP John McDonnell said “Last week the council sneaked out its planning application to build on our local country park. The planning application was not listed on Monday on the list of planning applications submitted in the last fortnight although it had been submitted formally the previous week. The documents relevant to the planning application were also not available. This is an absolute disgrace and means that local people will have less time to consider the application and lodge any objections. It also looks as though the councillors are trying to rush the application through over the Christmas period when many people and organisations will not be available to object. I have called a public meeting next Thursday 13th December at 8pm at Botwell Church Social Centre, Botwell Lane, Hayes. Please come along to he ...

political column "More trees are needed" published today believe passionately that it is important to protect our woodlands and wildlife areas. A few years ago I brought together a working group in Trafford with representatives from the Woodland Trust and Red Rose Forest to look at what could be done to increase tree cover in our Borough. More recently I proposed that Trafford Council make more small ornamental trees available for residents to plant on grass verges. These trees could be free or at a reduced price for residents who are willing to look after them. More trees on our streets would benefit the visual environment, make people less likely to park on the pavement around the grass verge and help with flood alleviation due to increased rain. A budding rivalry By KYLE CUNNINGHAM/Sports Reporter | Posted: Thursday, December 6, 2012 11:28 am When the Burton Panthers defeated D’Hanis last week in the Class 1A Division II regional round, senior offensive lineman Sam Gibson talked about the possibility of playing Falls City for the third straight season. “We pretty much know them on a first-name basis,” Gibson said. That may be a bit of an exaggeration, but when the two schools meet Friday at D.W. Rutledge Stadium in Converse, it will be the third straight season — and the fourth time in five years — the two have faced one another in the playoffs. First-year coach Steve Marbach came into Falls City after replacing Mark Kirchhoff, and his first order of business was to tweak Kirchhoff’s multiple-look offense. While Falls City still runs a multiple-style offensive attack, the predominant look is a spread as opposed to the flexbone offense of years past. The most important part was making sure dual-threat quarterback Cameron Soto could han ...

Tips on Driving Stick Shift: These tips on driving stick shift will help you learn to master standard transmissions. It's best to learn standard transmission driving before you get too comfortable driving an automatic, as there's a lot more timing and action involved. Make sure you push the clutch all the way to the floor every time you shift. When you come to a stop, make sure the clutch is pushed all the way to the floor and stays to the floor while you are stopped. When parked, put the vehicle in first gear. Do not use reverse or neutral. Put the emergency brake on. Using both methods, especially on a hill, will help prevent the vehicle from rolling if the pressure is too much for the transmission or if the emergency brake is low. Practice driving in an area with little to no cars before going on the road. When driving a stick shift, there are two extra things you must do in addition to using the brake and gas pedal. You'll stall out a lot when you're first learning. It's better to have this happen in ...

Dree Inhurghada posted to Workshop Gardening in the Desert 25 minutes ago · Normally I post as 'Workshop Gardening in the Desert' but I think it is good to let everybody know that it's me that is behind this workshop. There are rumors that other people claim they are behind the idea and even telling they did invent and organise them. This is not true. A lot of people know I am one of the most experienced gardners in Hurghada, even the owners of the local nurseries are asthonished what I do and did, and this experience and knowledge I like to give to other people. I am also involved in the Red Sea turns Green, the Plant a Tree Day, children know me as Miss Green since this week, I give 'workshops' for schools at Blue Moon, and I spend my time aat other 'green' and beneficiary projects for the community of the Red Sea. I am actually not a person to put myself that much in public, but I really get furious if someone is trying to steel my name or 'copyright' (don't know the good word for it) Dree in Hurghada ...

LIBERALS SUDDENLY DON'T WANT "DIVISION" "We still hope the governor will do the right thing by standing up to the CEO bosses in his own party and pledging to veto a right-to-work bill. We can't afford to waste time on divisive issues like right to work, which will weaken the middle class and won't create jobs."- Zack Pohl, Executive Director of Progress Michigan How ironic that Union bosses and liberal leaders, who tried to rewrite the Michigan Constitution, recalled several GOP Officials, and spent millions on slander campaigns against Conservative candidates during the election season, now say "we can't afford to waste time on division". Lol! What is not surprising is that liberals would blatantly lie and say that right to work legislation "won't create jobs", when they know that Right to Work Legislation will absolutely result in a business friendly climate in Michigan. The bottom lie is that Mr. Pohl is concerned about what every liberal leader is concerned with: they will lose their ability to perpet ...
