James was the most voted and Curry will debut alongside Bryant Drafting Sports ( USA ) , Jan 24 ( Reuters) - . The official announcement of the holders teams play in the 63rd All-Star Game , on 16 February in New Orleans, did not throw any surprises, with LeBron James , of the Miami Heat , as the most voted. But let the same inconsistencies that generates every year the popular vote , seeing as guard Kobe Bryant , Los Angeles Lakers, this season has only been able to play six games, will again be a starter in the team in the Western Conference something the player himself has criticized . Kendall Marshall has given another chance to prove himself that he was the right guy to picked 13th overall and that is against his former team the Phoenix Suns. Has 3 points and I think 4 turnovers against the Golden State Warriors. Why is this gUy can't transfer his skills to the NBA, I think he's too early to enter the league. He says, when he enter the NBA, looks like every point gUard in his opponent want him to kick out on this league. Also Wes Johnson a sUperstar in college. But still has the chance in this team that without a superstar Kobe Bryant. Good Luck!!!

FROM BEYOND THE ARC By: Police Chief Inspector Rico C Santotome Jr (OS), RN, MPM Playing The Spoiler's Role The visiting Toronto Raptors played the role of villains in Kobe Bryant's much-hyped return while missing the first 19 outings for the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2013-14 season of the National Basketball Association and after spending eight months of rehabilitation. Last Monday's game at the Staples Center in Los Angeles was the 'Black Mamba's' first with the Tinseltown squad after tearing his Achilles' tendon in a regular season game against the Golden State Warriors last April 12 (I stand corrected, 'pare' Joseph Danoy of LTO-Bacolod). And while everybody was expecting an easy victory for the home team against the lowly Raptors with Kobe rejoining his teammates, the contrary resulted with Toronto winning over LA, 106-94, despite playing sans the just traded Rudy *** Quincy Acy and Aaron Gray (shipped to Sacramento) for four others led by John Salmons and Greivis Vasquez. Starting for Coach Mike D' ...
Kobe Bryant suffered his devastating Achilles injury against the Golden State Warriors last season, wouldn't it be fitting if he returned against that same team, in less than a weeks time?!

Kobe said he hopes a Spurs championship will push the Lakers to make some moves to improve their chances. With a Spurs victory, forward Tim Duncan would match Kobe Bryant with five championships, and an argument could be made that Duncan is this generation’s best player. However, talking to Stephen A. Smith on ESPNRadio New York, Bryant said if the Spurs do win, he hopes Lakers management takes notice: “It doesn’t really matter. My goal is to win more then five, if he does win more than five it pushes our organization upstairs to be more driven to make the necessary experiences to continue for the next few years” Bryant’s season ended early as he tore his Achilles against the Golden State Warriors and was out for the season, but he’s clearly talking about the team making some changes. The Lakers will spend the beginning part of the off-season waiting on free agent center Dwight Howard and his decision before looking at any trades or free agents. Clearly, Bryant is intent on coming back stronge ...
A lot of the time you hear NBA analysts quibble over who the greatest player of a certain generation is. What makes this difficult is determining the generations themselves. I think, because players are typically in their prime for about 5-7 years, the generations are best broken up into half-decades. That means when people talk about who the best player is in the late-90's generation, there are really five names that are worth mentioning: Kevin Garnett, Allen Iverson, Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan, and Dirk Nowitzki. I think those five players are undoubtedly the best of their generation. However, and this was even debated last night on ESPN by Jalen Rose, Bill Simmons, and Michael Wilbon, who is the best? Most people tend to go back-and-forth between Duncan and Kobe. However, anyone who watched the San Antonio Spurs eliminate the Golden State Warriors last night saw the Spurs play the last 5 minutes with Duncan on the bench. Gregg Popovich felt that the Spurs were better off with Tiago Splitter down the stret ...

Girum Ðwayne Wade Girum Tilahun Za Man Khaifa Abel Asdenaki Amidu Moh Carter Nsikak James Okon Na Tty G Haven Grimay James eclipsed the milestone Wednesday night against the Golden State Warriors when he made a short jumper with 2:45 left in the second quarter to give him 20,001 career points. He needed 18 points entering the game to be the 38th NBA player to reach the mark. A jumper made LeBron James the youngest NBA player to score 20,000 career points -- at 28 years, 17 days. The previous youngest to score 20,000 points was Lakers star Kobe Bryant, who got there when he was 29 years, 122 days old. James was 28 years, 17 days on Wednesday. In the first quarter, James also found Dwyane Wade slicing down the lane for his 5,000th career assist. He is the 13th player with 20,000 points and 5,000 assists. James, who made 11 of 20 shots from the floor, surpassed the scoring mark when he dribbled from the wing and pulled up in the lane to make an off-balance jumper. James said he knew before the shot he was a ...
The night was capped with exciting 107-102 Clippers win over the Lakers. Clippers got up by 19, then almost got caught down the stretch. Fabulous game from Chris Paul (30 points, 13 assists and every key point in the fnial minute) and Kobe Bryant (38 points in losing performance). Dwight Howard and Blake Griffin also had strong games. Now Clippers have to go right back tomorrow night against the Golden State Warriors.
Nash’s return brings plenty to be merry about in La-La Land In his first return to action after missing 24 games due to a leg fracture he suffered on Halloween night, Lakers point guard Steve Nash dished out three of his nine assists to Kobe Bryant, Dwight Howard and Pau Gasol on spectacular “alley-oop” plays. And all of a sudden, the Lakers and their legions of fans are looking up – both figuratively and literally – all over again. Los Angeles Lakers' Steve Nash (10) dribbles past Golden State Warriors' Stephen Curry (30) during the first half of an NBA basketball game in Oakland, Calif., Saturday (Sunday in Manila). (AP Photo/Marcio Jose Sanchez) It’s for this very reason why the Lakers courted Nash in the offseason to begin with. His floor generalship, passing and playmaking are precisely what the star-studded, but struggling, purple and gold bunch has been missing. "It's easy. It's very easy. It's beyond easy," said Bryant, who scored 34 points and pulled 10 boards, about playing with Nash ...

HANG TIME HEADQUARTERS – You’ve been watching every move, every crossover, every dunk and every second of every game you can since the start of this NBA season. And you still have questions … Are the New York Knicks for real? Is Carmelo Anthony finally ready to take his place alongside LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Kobe Bryant among the league’s truly elite (winners with numbers to boot)? Are the Los Angeles Lakers really going to continue to stink up the place the way they have so far? Are we really going to overlook the Spurs again as they compile the most impressive body of work in the league for what seems like the umpteenth straight year? Was TNT’s Charles Barkley right about Dwyane Wade aging before our very eyes and slowing down to the point that he’s a shadow of the dominant force he’s been for so many years? And was James right to tell Charles to just “shut up?” Are the Golden State Warriors ready for prime time, for real, this time? (Rookie Draymond Green says yes!) What about ...
KOBE BRYANT PULL'S FOR Phil Jackson'S RETURN. Los Angeles – Kobe Bryant respects the possible replacements for Mike Brown as the Los Angeles Lakers' next head coach. As a child in Italy, Bryant became a fan of Mike D'Antoni while watching him play. Bryant previously endorsed ex-teammate Brian Shaw to replace Phil Jackson as the team's coach. But even with all that politically correct talk, there is one coach Bryant would like to fill the big shoes Jackson left behind two seasons ago. Jackson himself. Lakers fans also voiced the same sentiment, chanting, "We Want Phil" in the second half of the Lakers' much-needed 101-77 victory over the Golden State Warriors on Friday night. Kobe Bryant likely won't have Bernie Bickerstaff as his interim coach for long. "We have a good enough relationship where he knows where I stand," Bryant told Yahoo! Sports after scoring a game-high 27 points in just the Lakers' second win in six games this season. "He's realistically the greatest coach to ever coach in any sport. I ...
Kobe Bryant led all scorers with 29 points, 16 in the fourth quarter, and was visibly upset after the Lakers drop to 1-4 as they fall to the Jazz 95-86. The Lakers now return home for the next 6 games. Next up the Golden State Warriors this Friday.
