We're both a little in love with 70's Glenn Frey's hair/mustache combo and Don Henley's excruciating adorableness, I think.
Hey, '70s Don Henley, call '90s me. You won't be sorry. What the *** bring '80s Glenn Frey, let's do this!

Glenn Frey circa 1977 is my ideal man.
I'm so unaware of this that I actually thought, "Don Henley & Glenn Frey are in THE HOBBIT?" Then I realized that was dumb

Close game in Chicago. Lots of pressure, or as Glenn Frey would say:
Am I the only one who, after seeing the History of the Eagles on Showtime, thinks Glenn Frey is a greedy ***
Agreed. It was absolutely terrific. Didn't you wonder where Glenn Frey discovered and is hiding the Fountain of Youth? :-)
Glenn Frey's lyrics of the first Eagles' single. Take 'em as advice, they're true: *Don't let the sound of your own wheels drive you crazy.*
but now whenever I hear Glenn Frey I get to pop my collar, & light a Merit™
suppose the obvious choice would be Stones - Gimme Shelter or Antmusic but maybe try A funny one Glenn Frey -Heat Is On

Glenn Frey is really doing some serious thinking here.
Eagle killed by turbine @ wind farm. Henley unable to hide disappointment that victim in question was not that of d'bag bandmate Glenn Frey.
Glenn Frey should consider working in children’s television when he’s not too busy.

no way! I'm watching an Eagles documentary right now. Glenn Frey was such a stud in the 70s.I was totally born at the wrong time!!
The Philadelphia Eagles just signed Don Henley and released Glenn Frey.
Things I did not know: in the early 70's, Glenn Frey lived above his pal Jackson Browne in a $190 a month cottage in Echo Park! The things you learn while watching an Eagles documentary at 4am after the time change messes up your body clock...
Trivia: Don Henley got his big break drumming for Linda Ronstadt, and rooming with Glenn Frey.
EAGLES FANS: You've GOT to see the documentary on Showtime (is On Demand too) called The History of The Eagles - the most awesome footage from their entire career, Don Henley and Glenn Frey are so freakin amazing and why all these years did I think Glenn Frey was singing I Can't Tell You Why?? I guess I just assumed it was him since I knew it wasn't Don Henley... Watch This ASAP!!
Watching the Showtime documentary on the Eagles (awesome). Question: who was cooler - Glenn Frey or Don Henley?
Its pretty amazing how many great songs Glenn Frey and Don Henley have been apart of.
Listening to Glenn Frey on my morning commute to Manhattan reminds me of the August 1985 concert I went to with my PSU buddies in Allentown. Glenn Frey was the opening act for Tina Turner. Still one of the best concerts I've seen.
Best line from "History of The Eagles"--Glenn Frey says--"Joe Walsh joined the band--Joe was an interesting BUNCH OF CHARACTERS"!
Weekly Chart Notes: The Eagles' Greatest Hits As their music re-enters the Billboard 200 following the premiere of their Showtime documentary, a look back at the Eagles' biggest group and solo Hot 100 classics. "I was really reminded of how much fun we had. You couldn't have asked for a better script for a bunch of guys in their 20s trying to make it into the music business," Glenn Frey says. Frey and Don Henley recently chatted with Billboard's Phil Gallo about the Eagles' new in-depth documentary "History of the Eagles," which premiered on Feb. 15 and 16 on Showtime. Following its airing, two sets by the band re-enter the Billboard 200 this week: "The Very Best of the Eagles" (No. 104, up 54% in sales, according to Nielsen SoundScan) and "Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975" (No. 143, up 34%). Certified 29-times Platinum by the RIAA, the latter set is tied with Michael Jackson's "Thriller" as the top-selling album ever released in the U.S. "History of the Eagles" presents archival footage of the band performi ...
Glenn Frey and Don Henley of the Eagles discuss their band’s career, which is told in a new Showtime documentary directed by Alison Ellwood and produced by Alex Gibney.
The voice of the Eagles, Glenn Frey, will be in New Zealand this week. Reviews coming in from Australia are amazing. Here's one from Newcastle. Eagles fans should not miss this one. He's in Christchurch on Friday and Auckland on Sunday. Good tickets still available. IF there’s one thing Glenn Frey has learned with the resurgence of the Eagles, it would be to always bring your best game. Backed by a tight nine-man band, he spared no expense in presenting his music his way. If there was any doubt what the nearly-full house thought of the show, it was made clear when he ended his encore with Desperado: the house was on its feet. The 18-song setlist was topped and tailed by songs made famous by the Eagles (and partially penned by Frey). The middle was an indulgent excursion of classic love songs, with Frey expounding on the background of each one. Frey was determined on this tour that Eagles songs should sound like the version that fans have come to know and love and his hired hands helped make that happen ...
We are getting excited about Barry's commencement from Berklee. Last year honorary grads were Glenn Frey, George Clinton, Timothy Schmidt, Alison Krauss, Don Henley and Joe Walsh. I wonder who will be at Barry's graduation??
Just watched an awesome documentary on the Eagles-Don Henley is amazing ,Glenn Frey is a brilliant *** and Don Felder is nothing without the others so he needs shut up..Thanks show time great piece!
Things I learned watching the Eagles documentary: Joe Walsh is lucky to still be with us. Never negotiate with Glenn Frey. Or David Geffen. Someday I will use the phrase "It looks like Belushi and Walsh in a hotel room" and hope someone knows the reference. No one is going to sell 26 million albums again. Crazy how much early Eagles look like Stillwater.
A great day for outdoor fun, friends, and music. And speaking of music, it don't get better than RubberSoul. Playing right now and until 2 PM. With Cate Forrester, Mary Beal, Sandy Frey Wood, Paul Collins, Robert Glenn Philbeck, and others.
They don't make videos like this anymore. It's like a little Miami Vice episode. Glenn Frey - Smuggler`s Blues (1985)
Glenn Frey was killing it the mid 80s w/ his Miami Vice-like HEAT.
Good night with Glenn Frey singing those old Eagles classics...he still has what it takes!
Fabulous night in the city, dinner then glenn frey concert @ Opera House. Hope everyone had fun @ mardi gras.
So after 3 orchestra rehearsals, 2 Tina Arena concerts and 2 Glenn Frey concerts my work for the week is done. Off to Mardi Gras I say!
Well what a way to end our stay in Sidney. Fabulous Glenn Frey concert in an amazing setting. No amount of money spent on Hi-Fi equipment can recreate the sound that, a tight 10 piece band supported by the Sidney Symphony Orchestra and in an acoustically designed building, can ever recreate the true sound created tonight. Nothing is as good as live music.
Glenn Frey is absolutely amazing. Age has had no pact on performance, voice, charm and talent. This time last year I was rocking out to My Chemical Romance, last week it was Soundwave and today was a fantastic contrast.
Great day! Amanda's rugby was cancelled as the ground was closed so I had the opportunity to have a solid gym session with her - it was terrific! Then to the city to see Glenn Frey at the Opera House (Xmas present from G) - really good - he finished with Take It To The Limit and Desperado - can't beat that! :-)
Glenn Frey and the Sydney Orchrestra. Good old eagle classics plus lots of other smooth tunes. Great concert :-), 3 oncores was not enough :'(
First dinner then Glenn Frey with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra at the Opera House. I feel so culchered!! Alan Thomas
Going to see legendary Eagles guitarist, writer and vocalist, Glenn Frey, at Opera House tonight.
Eagles Legend Glenn Frey with the Sydney Symphony at the Sydney Opera House.
Well day 14 and our last day in Sidney which will be completed when we go the Glenn Frey concert at the Sidney Opera House tonight. Leave Sidney tomorrow on the 9:50am flight to Ayers Rock for 2 nights. Flight takes approx 2.5hrs. Last series of pictures show areas that will be of particular interest to the Day family as we went across on the ferry to Manley. As you can see the weather whilst much better than yesterday was still overcast with showers but didn't stop us from having a good day. Alex Day will know from first hand experience how exile rating the ferry crossing can be when there is good swell and its blustery. Going across the mouth of Sidney Harbour was like the best roller coaster ride with the boat pitching and lurching.Great fun especially when people were pitched of their seats in the open deck at front of boat,Hopefully we will get back to hot sunshine tomorrow. Meanwhile have to get spruced up for tonight's trip to the Opera House. Can't wait and quite excited about this.
It's a torrential concert months coming the Shillong residents way as we start tonite at the Sydney Opera House with Glenn Frey followed by GNR, The Boss, Black Sabbath...
Glenn Frey, 1977...he kinda looks like Matthew McConaughey in Dazed and Confused here, right? via
On a serious note for the evening. Im a few peg leg stouts deep, which makes me want to get deep. lets all get together tomorow night in between bands and talk about some alternatives. We need to make sure this seaford heavy music scene stays alive somehow. It doesnt need to be every saturday night like it was. We just need our night out once every few weeks or a month. Lets brainstorm.
Channeling my inner Glenn Frey with the center part, crazy waves and horn.
.U inspired my gym outfit today, Wade. Hittin the Nautiluses & listenin to Glenn Frey like ya told me
Opera House to see Glenn Frey of "The Eagles" fame tonight, hope we don't get swept along with the Mardi Gra. "L"
I just watched the rock documentary "History of The Eagles", if you're approximately my age, and don't like at least one song of theirs from the past 40 years then you better check your pulse.

When the Eagles were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Glenn Frey addressed the speculation that the band responsible for one of the best-selling albums in US history was one that had been riddled with contention during its first iteration.“We got along fine,” declared Frey, “we just dis...
Watched last night: Brought back memories of the 70's & 80's HISTORY OF THE EAGLES HISTORY OF THE EAGLES. Granting unprecedented access, the iconic rock band partnered with Academy Award-winning filmmaker Alex Gibney (Taxi to the Dark Side, Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room), to produce this inside look into the history of the band and the legacy of its music. Glenn Frey elaborates: “… this documentary is about survival; worthwhile relationships survive because people care about each other. And there are always going to be peaks and valleys, it’s never going to be perfect. You enjoy the good times, you weather the bad times, and you know, you try to remember that you love each other. And here we are, you know, forty-two years later …and we’re still sitting here talking about it, it’s fresh…”
'Desperado, why don't you come to your senses' - Glenn Frey and Sydney Phil = fabulous night
Don Henley is an Olympic-sized *** No wait, Glenn Frey is worse. No wait, it's definitely Don.
I've never seen 3 eagles at once. Until a few minutes ago,,, Soaring around over the river.
Happened on something really terrific last night on Showtime. No band has tracked my life, or created songs that mean more to me personally, than The Eagles. I'm not so much of a music guy, but I probably know the words to just about everyone of their songs and a dozen of them are like anthems to me. We were channel surfing and came upon a two hour documentary, History of the Eagles. It was incredible, like a pastiche of the past forty years of American rock. From David Geffen and the formation of Asylum Records and country rock, Linda Ronstadt and Jackson Browne, to the LA period. Their break-ups and re-uniting. May not be very hip, but if I had one seat at the dinner table to give to a rock star, it would go to Don Henley or Glenn Frey, even before Springsteen.
1970s Rock in Detroit, and Michigan. During the 1970s, many of the Metro Detroit acts grew into international rock icons such as Bob Seger, Ted Nugent, Alice Cooper, Grand Funk Railroad, Glenn Frey of The Eagles.[1] Along with one hit wonders Brownsville Station and Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen, Detroit became well known for its rock & roll prowess. The city was also immortalized during this time by such songs as Detroit Rock City by Kiss, Detroit Breakdown by The J. Geils Band and Panic in Detroit by David Bowie. After the breakup of the MC5 and The Stooges in the early 1970s, the Detroit area's musical braintrust transformed into several acts that created much notoriety. These acts included rock acts such as Sonic's Rendezvous Band (featuring Fred "Sonic" Smith of the MC5, Scott Morgan of The Rationals, Scott Ashton of The Stooges), the band simply called Detroit, which featured Mitch Ryder on vocals and Johnny "Bee" Badanjek on drums. Later, Mitch Ryder bowed out of the band Detroit and wa ...
Watched the docu on the Eagles again last night. What is your favorite Eagles song? Mine is "Take it to the Limit"
Glenn Frey, the band & the Sydney Symphony Orchestra - stuff legends are made of! So much talent on one small stage.

Pre-theatre dindins of scallop, steak, mash & red wine at Aria before the legend that is Glenn Frey at the Opera House.
Rocket is at the Opera House with Glenn Frey
Setting at the Bennelong Restaurant eating fine food waiting to listen to Glenn Frey play his hit songs. Life is good.
Sitting here waiting to see Ed Sheeran!! :D
After watching "History of The Eagles" on tv, I've decided that I NEED to learn the solos from "Hotel California" . Started today, and got myself a gnarly blister on my middle finger. Don Felder and Joe Walsh are geniuses. All that perfectly executed string bending is just amazing, and really tough to play (for ME, anyway) Their melodic sensibilities are just incredible, and sadly, something you dont hear much of today. This thing is gonna take me weeks to nail.
Glenn Frey is a total narcissist but he's still hott.
History of the Eagles from is great. Love the Eagles. Didn't realize Glenn Frey was such a jacka$$.
I'm watching the documentary "History of The Eagles". What I got from it : 1. Don Henley is a great singer and lyricist. 2. Timothy B. Schmidt is incredibly talented, AND a really nice guy. 3. Don Felder is a whiner. 4. Joe Walsh is an all around badass. 5. Glenn Frey is a DOUCHBAG that feeds on other's talents. Just my opinion...
NOW: An Eagle has landed, Glenn Frey.. founding member, singer, song-writer & instrumentalist for the on
Glenn Frey last night made me cry.hearing The Eagles songs live after 24 years of them as my soundtrack was pretty defining.
TODAY: Opposition leader + front man Glenn Frey & + We're giving away a trip to Hong Kong
Just watched, "History of the Eagles," on Showtime. Great documentary! I always thought that Don Henley was the biggest *** in the band but it's Glenn Frey! He actually kiboshed a reunion a couple of years before '94 and he basically threw Don Felder out in 1999. Another great part was David Geffen ripping Henley.
GLENN FREY - THE ONE YOU LOVE LYRICS Artist: Glenn Frey Lyrics [Intro:] Someone you can talk to Who will understand what you're going through When it comes to love There's no easy answer Only you can say what you're gonna do I heard you on the phone You took his number Said you weren't alone, but you'd call him soon Isn't he the guy The guy who left you crying Isn't the the one who made you blue When you remember those nights in his arms You know you've gotta make up your mind [Chorus:] Are you gonna stay with the one who loves you Or are you going back to the one you love Someone's gonna cry when they learn they've lost you Someone's gonna thank the stars above What you gonna say when he comes over There's no easy way to see this through All the broken dreams All the disappointments Oh girl. What you gonna do Your heart keeps saying it's just not fair But still you've gotta make up your mind Just love this Song :* Honey Jhaygem
Glenn Frey crooned away last night to a sold out Civic Theatre Newcastle with his 9 piece band. Brilliant night.

Watching the 'History of the Eagles" on Showtime!! Great stories from Great musicians!!
To friends who also have Showtime: The network is running "History of the Eagles". What a terrific subject for a documentary. Hope it's good, and that it covers all of the former members. My favorite configuration was the 5 pieces on "One of These Nights"(Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Randy Meisner, Bernie Leadon & Don Felder).
Queston for the day. Which Legendary Rock Star, who was a leader of a famous band cross over into Acting.. Hint: Not Bon Jovi...

Legendary Eagles frontman Glenn Frey is back in Brisbane - this time flying solo, but still as popular as ever.
"I got a peaceful, easy feeling and I know you won't let me down..'cause I'm already standing on the ground." Love, love, love, some Glenn Frey.

" I've got a peaceful easy feeling!" My tickets are already in my desk drawer. 24 days and counting.
Glenn Frey, his story is very interesting. Its incredible what this guy accomplished.
No matter where I'm at, if I hear an Eagles song I'm going to stand at attention, listening intently thinking about my Momma. The Eagles was her all time favorite band. I cry, listening to them sometime, thinking about all the life Momma showed, dancing around and singing ANY time she heard the familiar sound of Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Joe Walsh, and Timothy B. Schmit, I think it reminded her of her younger days cause I sure saw a streak of youth fly thru her on these occasions. I miss her so much.
Watching the "History of the Eagles" doc. Fascinating stuff, and I'm not even a big fan. Really well done. And BOY Glenn Frey's insufferable
Talking of how to write a song (and demystification of creative process of Eagles) -- How do you write a song? Really. What’s the process? Where do you start? It turned out that they were living in a little cheap apartment in Echo Park directly above an even littler, cheaper apartment that was being rented by Jackson Browne. Jackson Browne was at the very start of his career too. He was starving just like Glenn and Don. Glenn Frey, telling the story, says something like this: “Every morning we’d wake up and we’d hear Jackson’s piano coming through the floor from the apartment below. He would play one verse, then play it again, and again and again. Twenty times in a row, till he had it exactly the way he wanted. “Then he’d move to the next verse. Again, twenty times. It went on for hours. I don’t know how many days we listened to this same process before it suddenly hit us: This is how you write a song. This is how it’s done. “That changed everything for us.” I love that story. I love ...
Awsome doc about the Eagles on Showtime right now.
Ooh, another love has come and gone Ooh, and the years keep rushing on I remember what you told me before you went out on your own: "Sometimes to keep it together, we got to leave it alone". So you can get on with your search, baby, and I can Get on with mine And maybe someday we will find , that it wasn't really Wasted time Mm,hm Oh hoo, ooh, ohh, Ooh,ooh, mm Send "Wasted Time" Ringtone to your Cell Writer: HENLEY, DON / FREY, GLENN

After watching the 3 hour documentary about the Eagles on Showtime, I dislike Axl Rose a lot less. He has learned from Glenn Frey that if you dont like a bandmate, just kick them out or make their life so miserable that they quit the band.
Well I'm running down the road tryin to loosen my load...
IN case you missed it, I'm reposting my story on the Eagles that ran yesterday. It's gone viral. Seems everyone in the Eagles galaxy is talking about it. Have you seen the new documentary on the the band? A lot of longtime fans, me included, are angry at Glenn Frey and Don Henley, while others are angry at me for having the audacity to write this story.
Watched the History of the Eagles (the band, not the team) on Showtime the other night. One word to describe it? AWESOME. Three hours of old footage and interviews documenting the rise and fall of the band and I was riveted the entire time. I had very little knowledge of these guys growing up. I only knew Don Henley as the Boys of Summer guy (one of the greatest songs ever, btw) but seeing all the great work he did with the Eagles, along with Glenn Frey and Joe Walsh and Don Felder in the 70s kinda blew my mind.
History and music of classic rock band Eagles
Grammy legend and Eagles mastermind performs from a set list of iconic hits and his 6th solo album After Hours with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra.
Great Special on Showtime recently, The History of the Eagles Parts 1 and 2. Glenn Frey and Dn Henley are very smart guys in addition to being great musicians.
That Eagles doc on Showtime was good, but it did paint Don Henley, and Glenn Frey as if they did everything by themselves.
February has been a big month for musical guests, with Glenn Frey from the Eagles and Sir Cliff Richard enjoying all that Cha Cha Char has to offer... What will March bring?
I highly recommend the Eagles documentary on Showtime. I loved the band before I saw it. But now I love them even more. I literally could not turn off the tv last night. The doc went more than 3 hours and never lost my attention. Who knew that Bob Seger influenced Glenn Frey or that Don Henley lived with Kenny Rogers for a time or that Joe Walsh did so much damage to hotel rooms. Take It Easy and Take it to the Limit.
I need more Def Leppard and Eagles in my life.
Just watched Showtime's "History of the Eagles". It was very good. One little fact I learned is that although Glenn Frey is from Detroit, he is a Chicago Blackhawks fan!!!
The takeaway from Alison Ellwood's epic Eagles documentary is that Glenn Frey has never had his *** kicked. There is something quite humbling about Life kicking you in the balls. That hasn't happened to Mr. Frey, but it will. It happens to everyone. While Fleetwood Mac allowed their tension and frustration to spill all over their music, Eagles specialized in crafting Saturday afternoon music that only occasionally had any bite. They epitomized the mid-day drive and the image of the '70s golden-God rock star. (The facial hair went hand-in-hand with the arrogance.) Listening to an Eagles song you totally understand why Punk and Disco had to happen, but that doesn't mean the songs weren't catchy. Ellwood's documentary confirms everything that was wrong with that '70s SoCal movement, yet it also understands that that was probbly the last time that rock 'n' roll was all about the ride. (My favorite Eagles song is the R&B-flavored "I Can't Tell You Why" from 1979's THE LONG RUN. Timothy Bl Schmit's volcal never ...

Chris Lynch talks to singer/songwriter Glenn Frey who will perform at the CBS Arena March 8th
To quote Glenn Frey "the Heat is on!" After 4 and 1/2 days we finally have heat! Our realtor mistakenly told us that our heat was electric! And now after 3 1/2 weeks of living with parents we will finally be able to fully move in our new house and spend the night! Thank The Lord! God is so Good!

Written by Don Henley, Glenn Frey and Don Felder, this song is about materialism and excess. California is used as the setting, but it could relate to anywhere in America. Don Henley in the London Daily Mail November 9, 2007 said: "Some of the wilder interpretations of that song have been amazing. It was really about the excesses of American culture and certain girls we knew. But it was also about the uneasy balance between art and commerce." In 1976 The Eagles gave us today's song, "Hotel California".
What is Lebowski's musical legacy? A Bob Dylan rarity, some Creedence and an angry Glenn Frey
Quotable quotes from Glenn Frey tonight: "This song came from a time when the Dead Sea wasn't even sick" "... and like me he comes from Detroit, Michigan where 'mother' is only considered to be half a word" "My good friend Joe Walsh said to me one day 'Hey man' - no, that's not all he said, he said 'Hey man, if I knew I was gonna be playing that God *** song for the rest of my life I never would have written it' and so, now for the 46,000th time 'Take It Easy'"
Wow great concert the After Hours Tour with Glenn Frey --loved it wanted him to keep singing all night long

has just been to see.John Paul Young, Ross Wilson and Glenn Frey at Kings Park.WHOOP WHOOP
Taking it Easy at Kings Park, with Glenn Frey (Eagles) performing with the WA Symphony Orchestra. Reasonable support acts too Ross Wilson (Daddy Cool/Mondo Rock) and John Paul Young (aka Squeak).
Scored a VIP ticket to Glenn Frey with WASO at Kings Park tonight via 's husband
TOPIC FOR DISCUSSION: A lot of discussion regarding the documentary has been about the "alpha" personalities of several band members...mostly Glenn Frey and to a lesser extent, Don Henley. Do you think personalities like this have contributed to the success of the band or do you think they've held them back or hurt the band in any way?
Counting down the minutes until I am awed by Glenn Frey 's talent at the QPac Theatre.
"It's cold in here...is the heat off?...aw crap, now I have The Heat is On' in my head." Glenn Frey, you are my most hated Eagle.
I always figured that Don Henley was the member of The Eagles that was most likely to not get along, but it sure came off as though Glenn Frey was the guy who had more fractured and even acrimonious relationships (with Glyn Johns and Don Felder in particular).
Did anyone see the EAGLES DOCUMENTARY on SHOWTIME this weekend. first of all.I LOVE the Eagles, but after watching this doc twice, I got sick at my stomach at the way Glenn Frey and Don Henley treated fellow bandmates when the issue of money and now it was split between them. Im a band guy, always have been and some of the things I saw on this Doc really left a bad taste in my mouth concerning Mr Frey and Mr Henley. Id like your take on this IF you saw the whole thing.
NEW YORK — Consider how unusual it is for the exact breaking point of a big-time rock band to be chronicled on film. The Beatles’ “Let it Be” showed a slow disintegration. For the Eagles, the end came abruptly at a political fundraiser in 1980. Don Felder didn't want to be there. Glenn Frey didn't l...
Anyone else watch the two-part "History Of The Eagles" on Showtime? Was it just me or did Glenn Frey still come across as a ***
Kobo has over 2 million ebooks to choose from!
I feel like Axel Foley from Beverly Hill Cop, another Classic Movie. Listening to The Heat Is On by Glenn Frey from the Soundtrack.
Glenn Frey in the '70's looks so much like Billy Crudup's character Russell Hammond in "Almost Famous".
if you have showtime...great documentary on last night (Part 1)and tonite (part 2) 8pm' History of the Eagles.' You know...Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Joe Walsh. Its really good, especially if you grew up in the 70s and listened to rock radio. 'The Long Run' was the soundtack to my senior year at Lugoff Elgin high school in 1980 with my buds: Wade Potter, Tim Epps, Ronnie Anderson, Phil Bradley, and Karen Messer.
And now for some cheesy 80's music...any one remember the Glenn Frey song "the heat is on"? Yup, stuck in my head...because THE HEAT IS ON! Yay!
Why can't I figure out the guy second to the left, between Glenn Frey and Don Henley? Who is that?

THE EAGLES TO GO UNPLUGGED FOR PART OF NEXT TOUR The Eagles' upcoming 40th anniversary tour may feature some truly unplugged performances. The trek, which has yet to be announced will feature Don Henley, Glenn Frey, Joe Walsh, Timothy B. Schmit -- and at least one other former group member, according to Henley. Henley told Philadelphia's WMGK that the idea for the anniversary tour -- which actually fall on the Eagles' 41st -- is to "kind of go back to the roots of how we created some of these songs and how we used to sit around in a semi-circle rehearsing. We're gonna break it down to the fundamentals, and then take it up to where it is now." Henley spoke frankly to Rolling Stone about the band's new documentary History Of The Eagles, which is premiering this month on Showtime and heading to DVD next month: "Some of it was painful -- you know, the self-destructive behavior that a lot of young people go through. The insecurities, the fear, the feelings of unworthiness, we don't deserve this, and the feelin ...
Weird dream last night. I dreamed I went to see the Eagles, and then was getting autographs afterwards. And it wasn't a big autograph line or anything. And one of the guys (not one of the main 4 though) was giving out tour booklets to those who had nothing to get signed. Got it signed by him, and then by I think it was Joe Walsh who was up on stage near him, though I didn't at all ever think his name while dreaming. (Later, when awake, I was thinking I'd left him out, but them I'm like, wait, that one guy on stage looked like Joe Walsh.) And then Timothy B. Schmit was standing there too, except I didn't totally recognize him and wasn't sure it was him, but I knew it was a band member. I had him sign it, and then he walked off with my tour book, and I had to chase him down and get it back. And I could have easily said something to him about how much I appreciate his music (and I mean his solo stuff), but I was too chicken. Went to the table where Don Henley and Glenn Frey were, but realized I'd set my to . ...
15. Glenn Frey and Don Henley were members of which band?
I probably shouldn't say this, but yesterday I think I realized why I sing like I do -- with this kinda country inflection even though I'm from the mean streets of Norfolk Massachusetts. The Eagles Greatest Hits came on my iTunes and there it was. all this time I've been trying to emulate Don Henly and Glenn Frey and I never really knew it. Crazy. Sad even. But at least I don't try to sound British ha

Premiere -- Part Eight A young woman in the back starts rambling about Desperado and how it was in a Seinfeld episode. The audience turned on her, shouting, “Do you have a question?” and “Get to the point”. Finally, the moderator picked someone else for the final question. Audience member Going back in time…I’m sure it was nostalgic…but at the same time, you have a family of prior band mates and as you look back at the evolution of the band…through the process…did it mean anything different to you today versus when you were there and they broke away? Taking down the Christmas decorations.usually kind of depressing but this year I have a beautiful snowy scene at every window I pass...and Glenn is hleping me. He got in the mood to scrub and de-grease the kitchen as we remove decorations. Not gonna lie.I like that.
Heat is fixed. Thanks Trish Morrisett for the recommendation.

Upcoming behind the scenes documentary on the history of The Eagles (Story of an American Band), show will be broadcast live on Showtime (US) Part 1: Friday ...
Another tick on the bucket list ... Just interviewed Glenn Frey from The Eagles! One word - amazing.
Felder in the film-- We've gotten a few questions about this, so I thought I'd put them in a separate post. Don Felder is interviewed in the film. He's sitting in a studio of some sort and talks about joining the band and writing the music for Hotel California. As this is only Part 1, they didn't talk about a lot of conflict, but you could tell they were setting up for it in Part 2. There's a long section about Victim of Love. Don and Glenn talk about how Felder would make tapes and they would usually just be these guitar runs, but once in a while there would be something there that they could use. They wrote Victim of Love and Felder thought that he was going to sing lead on it. Henley says, "I don't recall any promises being made about who would sing lead on that song." and Glenn says kind of the same thing...that there were no guarantees about who would sing what, but that apparently, Felder had gotten it in his head that this song was his. Felder tells the story of how Irving took him out to dinner .. ...
Eagles co-founder Don Henley believes some of the band’s success was down to “dumb luck” – and they’re aware how rare it is to have enjoyed two rounds of big-time glory. They split in 1980 then returned 14 years later to enjoy as much acclaim as they had during the 70s. Speaking at the premiere of their documentary, History Of The Eagles Part One, Henley admits it’s a rare achievement. He tells Rolling Stone: “We fully realise how fortunate we are. We don’t take credit for all that – some of it is just dumb luck. Some of it is being in the right place at the right time; coming into contact with the right people, the right managers, attorneys, crew members, producers. There are a whole lot of people involved in this other than us. “We were fortunate enough to have one of the rarest things in American life: a second act. We broke up for 14 years and came back, and we were bigger than ever. We still pack arenas and stadiums 42 years on.” Henley says the aim of the three-year movie proje ...
Don Henley is inducting Randy Newman. Ha that's gonna bother some people.
Heading over to Miles Dog Park in La Quinta. then looking for a new Vacumn thanks to all my friends comments and advice...lol. Love ya guys. Then The Beerhunter for lunch with some old friends.
Waiting! Chris says we are like Dog the Bounty Hunter!
I gotta think they go squarely for the boomers. Just about every musician profile is a Tom Petty, Graham Nash, Glenn Frey type.
My favorite band after all these years. Yes and just like Eileen, my favorite is "Desperado"...
Glenn Frey said it best "the heat is on!". The party has started in QUEENSLAND!
I was raised in Michigan, where you can use your hand as a map. Some of us live Above the hand in the Upper Peninsula, known as "God's Country". We visit Lake Michigan, Lake Superior, Mackinac Island, Traverse City, or drive across the bridge! We go to Northern Michigan University, love football, Go Michigan! We love Faygo, Made Rite Potato chips, Vernors, Kelloggs & Tigers. We play Euchre, swim in lakes, hunt, fish & camp. And we call soda, POP!! Re-post if you're from Michigan
Glenn Frey just came up on Songza. I cannot hear this song anymore without thinking of "The H is O!" sketch from SNL.
thought it would be nice to head up to Brisbane to check out Glenn Frey in concert next month. Here I was thinking I was old because I remember when The Eagles were still together. Turns out I'm really old because it must be nearly 30 years since I last bought concert tickets - tickets for Frey concert range from $129 to $199 !!! Anyone know if he's released a music DVD?
