Glamour Boys grind out win over Ajax CT Kaizer Chiefs’ fantastic unbeaten run in the Premier Soccer League (PSL) remains intact after they edged out Ajax Cape Town 1-0 in a close encounter at the Cape Town Stadium yesterday afternoon. A large crowd of about 40 000 packed into the former World Cup venue in Green Point, creating a festive atmosphere, and the match yielded a result that had the mass Amakhosi faithful going home smiling. The Joburg side has always battled to win in the Mother City, but this time they managed to pull it off. And a look at the log standings will see Chiefs with an impressive eight games played, eight games won, and a full-house of 24 points. But the young Ajax team definitely gave them something to think about. For large periods of the match, Ajax were the better side and, if they had a more reliable striker and goal-getter, things could have been so different. Chiefs may be unbeaten and on top of the log, but they are certainly not the dashing attacking team they used to be ...

SuperSport United coach Cavin Johnson says the club would be willing to stand in as the fourth South African participant in CAF continental competitions next year, should Kaizer Chiefs opt out of participating. "If it so happens I think we would be keen to compete in Africa because testing ourselves in Africa would be good for the team," Johnson said on Saturday. The United tactician was speaking at Lucas Moripe Stadium after his side were crowned Gauteng Football Cup champions, beating Mamelodi Sundowns 4-3 on penalties. "How else will the players grow if we don't play the best against the best teams on the continent?" CAF announced last week that South Africa would be allocated two spots in its Confederations Cup, and two spots in the Champions League. With Chiefs yet to confirm their participation in the competition, media reports suggest the Glamour Boys may skip the competition entirely. Chiefs' general manager Bobby Motaung was last week quoted as saying the club was yet to make a decision on the ma ...
Yo man, Ted Dumitru is available too... He knows the culture of the Glamour Boys (inside out).
Kaizer Chiefs Football Manager, Bobby Motaung, has pleaded with the Amakhosi faithful to have patience as the club look to freshen up the squad. The only major arrivals confirmed so far are Siphelele Mthembu (from Platinum Stars) and Levy Mokgothu (from Moroka Swallows). Chiefs also added development products Chris Matombo, Hendrick Ekstein and Zitha Macheke to the senior squad as well. Meanwhile, Philani Cele and Lucky Baloyi have joined the Dube Birds on a loan spell. The club are also currently waiting to see whether Knowledge Musona will opt to return to Naturena from Europe. Bernard Parker's extended absence as he recovers from ankle surgery is another aspect the Glamour Boys must deal with in the early part of 2014/15. Nonetheless, despite the uncertainty about which other big names might be added to the squad, Motaung re-assured Amakhosi supporters that additions would be made in due course. He told the club's official website, "We will make more announcements as time goes on. There will be in and ...

McCarthy:Tefu is Chiefs' Future Captain Former Kaizer Chiefs central defender, Fabian McCarthy, has backed Tefu Mashamaite to one day be given the captain's armband at the club. McCarthy, who played for the Glamour Boys between 2003 and 2008, said that Mashamaite's excellent performances and good leadership abilities means he is a natural for the role in future. The 29-year-old defender has been a revelation for Chiefs in recent seasons, and has arguably become the club's number one central defender. However, it remains to be seen whether he will one day be awarded the captaincy. Itumeleng Khune is the club's undisputed leader and unless injury arises any time soon, it seems clear he will retain the armband. Nonetheless, McCarthy has expressed his view on Mashamaite's outstanding qualities. He told Soccer Laduma in edition 876, "Tefu has been outstanding in Chiefs' defence and for me he is the defender of the season...He also has leadership qualities in him...I see him as a future captain of Chiefs." Have ...

With Keegan Ritchie looking likely to leave Slavia Prague in the Czech Republic, there could be a chance of Kaizer Chiefs looking to tempt him back to Naturena. The left-back only left South Africa earlier this year after Slavia had transfer bid accepted by the Glamour Boys, though a change of management in Europe has seen him drop out of favour. It was reported by the Siya crew recently that the 23-year-old had returned to Mzansi prematurely in order to sort out a visa issue, though it now seems unlikely that he will be returning. Slavia’s Sporting Director, Karol Kisel, told the Czech media this week, “Keegan Ritchie will probably leave, but it is not yet definite.” With that in mind, and Chiefs on the lookout for a new full-back, Stuart Baxter could look to bring Ritchie back to the club and have somebody who already knows his system and already knows the Amakhosi’s style of play. Ritchie who was also very complimentary of both Chiefs and Baxter following his departure, may be open to a return ...
ans from Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates are making their votes in the millions, and it appears that both teams' starting-11s are nearing completion. However, there are some major omissions and inclusions so far in the popular vote. Kaizer Chiefs' Player of the Season for 2013/14, Willard Katsande, has once again dropped to the bench. This was after George Maluleka moved close to 5000 votes ahead of him in the selection. Generally, Chiefs' line-up remains consistent with the majority of the first-11 from last season making the final cut up to now. Bernard Parker won't be available for the CBL Cup because of injury, which means Katlego Mphela is pencilled in to start. Knowledge Musona is the leading Chiefs striker in the votes, however his deal has expired with Chiefs, meaning he will be ineligible to play come late July. Nonetheless, the Glamour Boys management are exploring the possibility of extending his deal which could mean he may yet feature. If Musona doesn't return, Kingston Nkhatha will lead th ...
Local MAHEVHEHEVHE (Rumours) & More Updates (PSL & NFD) ● Kaizer Chiefs target, Dan Sserunkuma, has reportedly revealed why he is flattered to have attracted the interest of such a major club in the PSL like the Glamour Boys. ● Bonginkosi Ntuli revealed that he will be joining Mamelodi Sundowns, and that the only thing holding up the move is Golden Arrows boss Mato Madlala being in Brazil. The young striker is one of the hottest properties around, with both the Brazilians and Orlando Pirates reportedly chasing his signature. But Ntuli insists only Sundowns have made official contact and that a move to Chloorkop is imminent. ● Polokwane City have announced that they will be holding trials for players under the age of 23 today and tomorrow. The trials will be held at the Polokwane cricket ground between the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium and the new Peter Mokaba Stadium. The trials will start at 10am and all players are requested to bring their own playing kit and also identity documents. ● Ajax Cape Town ...
Siphelele Mthembu could offer a lot to Kaizer Chiefs. Kaizer Chiefs Siphelele Mthembu PSL As exclusively revealed in 874 of this week's edition of Soccer Laduma, former Orlando Pirates striker, Siphelele Mthembu, is in talks to sign a deal to join Kaizer Chiefs in the 2014/15 season. The powerful forward and his representatives are currently locked in talks with Chiefs, as both parties look to potentially conclude a deal. The Siya crew have already reported on the striker's links with the Glamour Boys earlier in his career. Mthembu reportedly signed a deal to go to Chiefs in 2008, however his representatives were already said to have a struck deal for him join Orlando Pirates instead. He later featured in a Vodacom Challenge match for the Amakhosi against Manchester United, before Bucs later won a legal argument and he eventually went on to spend three unproductive years with that club. Relatively average spells followed later with Bloemfontein Celtic and Golden Arrows, before he enjoyed a very good 2013/ ...

Kaizer Chiefs PSL George Maluleka Doctor Khumalo Kaizer Chiefs central midfielder, George Maluleka, has revealed some important advice assistant coach, Doctor Khumalo, gave him during the course of the recently concluded 2013/14 campaign. Maluleka initially struggled to adapt to life at Naturena after joining the club in January, however he finished the season strongly, and a bright future appears to be ahead for the 25-year-old. The player, who joined the club from SuperSport United, could have a huge role to play for Chiefs in upcoming seasons. With midfield dynamo, Reneilwe Letsholonyane, fast approaching his 32nd birthday on June 9, Maluleka could be the future of the club in the central midfield department. Nonetheless, the Tembisa-born star has explained why Khumalo's advice helped him to really find his feet with the Glamour Boys. He told Soccer Laduma in edition 874, "I speak to coach Doctor a lot. He always tells me to be humble, positive and play my normal game. One thing that I've learned from ...

Kaizer Chiefs take on University of Pretoria in a must-win clash for the Glamour Boys, if they're to stand any chance of defending their PSL title. “If you are a coach and you watch their previous three or four games, you will know exactly where the ball will go,” Dumitru, who won the League with Chiefs in 2005, told KickOff.com. “Exactly where the corner and free-kick will be placed, where the player will pass the ball. So there is no more creativity in the team.” Dumitru also said that Stuart Baxter's men should not use their recent CAF commitments as an excuse for not doing well in their last three League fixtures. “Teams cannot be tired when we have so many breaks in the PSL in a season. That should not be used as an excuse at all. We have so many breaks in South African football and I fail to understand why people will say their players are tired. “If you playing in Africa you need to come up with a plan. While I was at Sundowns, we used to play so many games in a short space of time and we never complain.” However, Dumitru still feels the Glamour Boys can successully defend their Premiership crown. “I've said it before that that ...

I have said countless times I am not the most religious person. Occasionally something happens that makes Me view things differently. Hayden was home from school,so we all went to see "God's Not Dead". My mother in law K,My very pretty wife Monica,Karan,Hayden and I along with Monica's sister's family all went for easter. It was a little on the cheesy side and whoever "The Newsboys" are seem to be a little over-rated. I believe the lead singer use to be the brother that was the lead singer for "Living Color" (You know "Cult of Personality" Glamour Boys") I am certain I am not the Christian my wife would like for me to be, but I did feel the touch of God today. It was a good movie with great message I often wonder if people that had influence over me when I was growing up would have been more religious would I be now?. I never know if I am saying the right thing, but when something touches me feel like I should say something.
I hear the Glamour Boys, Kaizer Chiefs, gave number 1, cde JG Zuma, a fitting birthday present today... and advancing the glory
When news was announced that Morgan Gould and Eric Mathoho were signing for Kaizer Chiefs at the start of the 2012/13 season, it seemed the writing was on the wall for Tefu Mashamaite. The season before he'd managed just 12 PSL appearances for the club in a dissapointing campaign, and the arrival of two established big name central defenders suggested more time on the bench in future. However, it seems the player failed to read the script because since Gould and Mathoho arrived at Naturena, Mashamaite has taken his game to a whole new level. As a result, he's arguably gone on to become a key centreback for the Glamour Boys in recent times. We put Chiefs' key three centrebacks under the microscope to analyze why Tefu Mashamaite is so important to the cause. The defender's successful partnership with Mathoho is undeniable - together they've kept nine clean sheets and achieved 11 wins in 13 games played. In fact, Chiefs concede just 0.38 goals per match when Tefu and 'Tower' are alongside one another. This i ...
Just arrived at home safely from the stadium... All I gotta say is well done to the 11 soldiers in Gold & Black. They played with the will to win and gave AS Vita absolutely no respect. Hence we gave the Glamour Boys and Stuart Baxter a well-deserved standing ovation as they walked into the tunnel. Due to nonsensical refereeing, AS Vita undeservedly qualified for the group stages. It still beats me how those buggers beat us 3-0 in DRC. They were awful and they were playing karate instead of football. But all will be well Makhosi... God has bigger plans for us, so keep your heads up high. Much love to my Khosified family who turned up at the game. It was great seeing ya'll yet again. Come next weekend, Sundowns will rest in peace. Khosi 4 Life!!!
The review - Baxter Posted on Saturday, March 15, 2014 - 20:45 Orlando Pirates 0 Kaizer Chiefs (0) 1 (Katsande 61) Coach Stuart Baxter recorded his first Derby win in the league against Orlando Pirates. The Glamour Boys showed courage and determination throughout the entertaining sold out encounter. Remarkably, Willard Katsande scored his first goal since arriving at the Amakhosi in 2011. Katsande connected with a 61st minute header from a fine corner kick by Tshabalala. Baxter expressed delight and praised his charges for the gallant display and good football. On the overall performance of his Team "Pirates played very well in the first half. They created a few chances and got us worried at times. At halftime we spoke about going on attack and improving our transition play. I am very happy with the results and proud of the guys, I think they really played well today," commented Baxter. On the tight schedule "We are going to Polokwane and then to RDC. We will continue with the rotation of the players with ...

Tinashe Nengomashe was unknown in South African football until 2002/2003 season when he joined Kaizer Chiefs. Some South Africa newspapers went on to label him as a 'foreign flop'. In season 2003/2004 the Harare born midfielder guided Amakhosi to the PSL title and became the 'PSL Footballer of the Year’, ‘Player’s Player of the Season', he was also the winner of Kick Off Magazine’s ‘Soccer Player of the Season’ Tinashe is well known for his ball distribution and ability to marshal the midfield. He made unforgettable partnerships with players like John ‘Shoes’ Mosheu, Thabo ‘Tsiki-Tsiki’ Mooki, and Jabu ‘shuffle’ Pule. He appeared 324 times for Glamour Boys. After 2011/2012 season, Nengomasha's talks of a new contract with Kaizer Chiefs failed to succeed and he then signed for Bidvest Wits on a 3-year deal. Last season under Clive Barker, the 31-year-old midfielder was 27 times in the starting team, and stayed on the bench once. This season, he was 4 times in the starting team as Ga ...
IT appears Knowledge Musona is returning to his best form after the 23-year-old striker netted a spectacular hat-trick in the Caf Champions League over the weekend to lead the Zimbabwean crew gunning for the golden boot in the continent‘s premier club football competition. Zimbabweans Abroad with Henry Mhara Musona scored all the three goals in Kaizer Chiefs’ 3-0 mauling of Mozambique’s Liga Muçulmana in Maputo on Saturday as the Glamour Boys cruised to the second round of the league with a 7-0 aggregate score. With the three goals, he took his tally to four goals, one behind Mouhssine Lajour of Raja Club Athletic who currently tops the Champions League scoring chats with five goals. However, Lajour has no chance of adding to his tally after his team was booted out of the competition on Saturday. Edward Sadomba, the winner of the award in 2011 after scoring seven goals, moved to third position on the scoring chats after scoring the second goal in his team Al Ahli Benghazi’s 2-0 win over Berekum C ...

I,Puso Theophilus Saul,an ardent loyal supporter, fan, follower and lover of Kaizer Chiefs Football Club aka 'bunch of winners', hereby decree that: I will not, even in one thousand years, wear let alone buy,a shirt or anything of Amakhosi that does not have a 'STAR' engraved on the emblem of the glamour boys. I consider it a transgression,an enormous blunder in actual fact, to don clothing of chiefs that does not have a star, whilst our arch-rivals aka 'bunch of losers' have one.And therefore I have decided that, even if it takes a decade,I will wait for my boys to acquire that CAF star and only then will I start donning our 'current national team' 's clothing. This is my solemn oath. So Help Me God.

BREAKING NEWS ' We are excited that we managed to sign the Dynamos goalkeeper George Chigova and he is officially now our player. We were impressed by his perfomance at CHAN. He has also experience because he was the first choice goalkeeper for Dynamos during their African Safari last year. George Chigova will join us in June.We have decided to loan him to Highlanders. This might not go down well with the Glamour Boys but since he is now a Supersport player,we have the right and authority to do what we feel is good for our players' said a Supersport Official. Supersport are the 2nd SA premiership club to loan a player to Highlanders after Sundowns loaned Kuda Mahachi to Bulawayo giants loneswa kubosso baba.
Trust those swanky glamour boys to show the rest of Europe how it's done ! Keep up boys !
Lehlohonolo Majoro’s move from Kaizer Chiefs to archrivals Orlando Pirates might still have legal implications, but assuming the striker does eventually make the crossover in July — or even sooner after being released by Amakhosi on Friday — a former tormentor awaits him. Vladimir Vermezovic and many of the Amakhosi players, including Majoro, had a love-hate relationship with the Serbian after a hostile three years at the club, before the coach was eventually shown the door by management with seven matches to go. "VV" is awaiting his work permit to take over at Pirates. He once berated Abia Nale in full view of television cameras and in his last days at Chiefs told Majoro and his team-mates they didn’t have the "balls" to deliver. This led the forward to hit back with a message that read "I do have BALZ" on his T-shirt when he next scored. It was also Vermezovic who stripped Jimmy Tau of his captaincy in September 2011 after a dressing room bust-up. A week ago the Buccaneers hired Vermezovic, in a ...

Chiefs Have Too Much Firepower Former Santos man, Marvin Oakes, who spent a period playing in the Mozambican Premier League, says Kaizer Chiefs have enough power to beat Liga Muculmana. Stuart Baxter’s side welcome the Mozambican champions this weekend in the first round of the Caf Champions League, and will be hoping to use their home ground advantage to give them a boost ahead of the second leg. Oakes, 29, who was with Clube Maxaquene for over a year and won the league with them, and he explained that the Amakhosi should be able to walk away with a victory. He said, “Look, Muculmana are very good, organised, professional team, and they have a good coach from Portugal. However, they’ve lost quite a few of their big names recently, and personally I think that Chiefs will have too much firepower for them. “They’ve got Sonito, the big striker who was on trial with Chiefs' reserves, and I think they should watch out for him, but I think Chiefs can take it.” Chiefs take on Muculmana at Moses Mabhi ...

Kaizer Chiefs are on course to set a points record in the Absa Premiership if they maintain their current run of winning form. The Glamour Boys would set a new record which would break any figure achieved since the inception of the PSL era in 1996/97. Stuart Baxter's men are currently on a run which has seen the team put together an unbeaten streak of 13 matches in-a-row. The club have won 13 of their 19 matches played in the PSL, and have a win percentage of 75%. If they continue to win games at that percentage in a 30-game season, Chiefs would easily break the record. This would be the best return in the modern era and surpasses the 73% winning percentage achieved by the magnificent Mamelodi Sundowns sides of the 1998/99 and 1999/00 campaigns, in what was then a 34-team league. A 75% winning percentage would also see Chiefs easily smash their previous best points total in the PSL of 63 points. Amakhosi achieved this marker in their title-winning campaign of 2003/04. Interestingly, the Black and Gold hav ...

Why Parker's Mzansi's Best Attacker We look at why Bernard Parker is the most productive and best attacking player in South Africa right now... by David Minchella Feb 25, 2014 Kaizer Chiefs PSL Kaizer Chiefs forward and number 10, Bernard Parker, is on fire once again for both club and country. So dominant is the 27-year-old hitman that he was recently awarded the best player gong for the first two quarters of the PSL season. He is arguably the most productive and talented player in the country right now, although his compatriot at Chiefs, Itumeleng Khune, has a strong case to be thought of as Mzansi's best defensive player. Nonetheless, Parker's record for the Glamour Boys can't be ignored. The hallmark of a top player is how that one indvidual improves the fortunes of a team as a whole. For example, a goal-poacher like Lehlohonolo Majoro may win you a handful of games when he's scoring. However, when he's not it could be argued that his contribution to the team is minimal. In Parker's case if he's not s ...

Dynamos and How Mine resume their campaigns in continental competitions with the Harare giants reporting a clean bill of health ahead of a tricky tie against AS Vita of the DRC. Dynamos team manager, Richard Chihoro told the ZBC News his team is ready to face As Vita with all the players free from injuries. As part of preparations for the Caf Champions League first round first leg match, DeMbare played Buffaloes at Sakubva Stadium over the weekend and won 1-nil courtesy of former Triple B striker, Anesu Gondo’s goal. Gondo is however not registered for the Caf Champions League. Chihoro however dismissed reports that Walter Mukanga is injured and said all the players have reported a clean bill of health. The 2008 Caf Champions League semi-finalists will be expecting to rekindle the form that saw them overcome Botswana's Mochudi Centre Chiefs 4-1 on aggregate. Against Mochudi, the Glamour Boys won 3-nil at home before drawing 1-all away. Zimbabwe’s other representative on the African continent, How Mine ...
Hlongwa training with Chiefs reserves Posted: 25 February 2014 Kaizer Chiefs’ teenage striker Sakhile Hlongwa is back with the club’s reserve team following the premature ending of his loan spell at Thanda Royal Zulu. Hlongwa was signed by Chiefs at the beginning of last season but struggled to break into the first team. He was therefore farmed out to Thanda in the hope of securing game-time, with the deal meant to expire in June. However, following coaching changes at the NFD strugglers, the 18-year-old was deemed surplus to requirements and was sent back to Naturena. Hlongwa will now see out the season with Amakhosi's reserve side, which is coached by Ace Khuse and Conti Kubheka. KickOff.com has spotted Hlongwa sweating it out with the reserves, who train at the Nike Centre and play in the Soweto League. Hlongwa is contracted to the Glamour Boys until June next year. Mzansi Diski Updates| News Lehlohonolo Majoro had to take Kaizer Chiefs to the Dispute Resolution Chamber to get his clearance from the club. Amakhosi have released Majoro from his contract. The former AmaZulu striker's deal with the Phefeni Glamour Boys had been due to expire in June this year. Majoro had to seek help from the South African Football Players Union to get his clearance from Chiefs, which was duly awarded before the DRC in Johannesburg on Saturday. SAFPU general secretary Thulaganyo Gaoshubelwe has since declared that a victory has been achieved by his union to help Majoro, who would have played no competitive football had he not secured his clearance from Chiefs.
Rise Khosi Rise,i salute the coach Stuart Baxter and the Glamour Boys not forgetting the Protesa.Thumbs up
Kaizer Chiefs have made arrangements for their supporters to travel to Namibia to support the team during the club's Caf Champions League preliminary round second leg clash with Black Africa. The Glamour Boys hold a comfortable 3-0 lead over the Black Lions and are reportedly taking an experimental side to Namibia, with the likes of Lorenzo Gordinho, Simphiwe Mtsweni and Reyaad Pieterse expected to feature. As far as what is known at this stage, the game appears unlikely to be televised which means Chiefs supporters will be facing a virtual blackout when the action gets under on Saturday (15 February) evening at the Independence Stadium in Windhoek. Nonetheless, Chiefs have confirmed they have made arrangements for a travelling band of fans to come and support the team for the clash this weekend. The club reportedly have organised a special deal with Air Namibia to take fans to the game. A special flight has been made available by the airline which will leave for Windhoek on Saturday morning. Chiefs get CAF campaign off to winning start Kaizer Chiefs have got their Caf Champions League campaign off to an impressive start following their 3-0 win over Namibian side Black Africa at Soccer City Stadium. Mandla Masango was first on the scoresheet, while Kingston Nkhatha contributed a brace to give the Glamour Boys a comfortable win. Masango put Chiefs ahead in the 18th minute benefitting from a cross by Knowledge Musona. Nkhatha made it 2-0 in the 33rd minute beating Subeb from outside the box. The score remained 2-0 at the interval. Amakhosi continued to create chances in the second stanza, but only added one more goal. Nkhatha finally got the third in the 85th minute heading over a rushing Subeb to give Chiefs a comfortable lead heading to the second leg. The second leg is scheduled at Sam Nujoma Stadium in Windhoek on February 15. Kaizer Chiefs: Khune; Moleko, Mathoho, Mashamaite, Gaxa, Maluleka, Nkosi, Masango (Tshabalala 73’), Lebese (Rusike 46’), Musona (Parker 68’), Nkhatha Black Afric ...
"Kaizer Chiefs continue their pursuit of Mamelodi Sundowns' record for most consecutive PSL wins when they take on Soweto neighbours Moroka Swallows tonight. Chiefs have won seven games on the trot, leaving them four short of Downs' unmatched run. The Brazilians achieved the feat between January and April 2007 as Gordon Igesund led them to the league title. Amakhosi will need to beat Swallows, SuperSport United, Maritzburg United, Bloemfontein Celtic and Platinum Stars to better the mark. Chiefs have some cause for hope against Swallows, a side they have dominated in recent times. The teams drew 1-1 in the first round in August, but before that the Glamour Boys registered six straight victories against the Birds dating back to 2010. Aside from Downs’ remarkable run, Bidvest Wits won nine games in a row between January and March 2003 under Roger de Sa, while Trott Moloto’s Umtata Bush Bucks started the first PSL season in 1997 with eight consecutive wins inside the first 10 matches."

Caf Champions League Kaizer Chiefs will open their CAF CL account by taking on Black Africa from Namibia on Saturday the 08th of February 2014 at FNB STADIUM. Kick-off is at 20h00. Tickets are already on sale for only R40 at Computicket & Shoprite/Checkers outlets. Aweweng Madoda lets support Glamour Boys.
Kaizer Chiefs will be looking for revenge when they host SuperSport United at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Wednesday night. Matsatsantsa outplayed AmaKhosi in the first round of this fixture, beating them 3-1 on the night, but Stuart Baxter's side will be hoping for a different result. This encounter will also give Chiefs an opportunity to stretch their lead at the top of the PSL, after their 10-point lead was trimmed to nine points by second placed AmaZulu last night. However, Cavin Johnson's charges are also eager to rekindle their title ambitions especially after winning their previous league game against neighbours AmaTuks. United shocked Chiefs' fierce rivals Orlando Pirates earlier this year, and there's certainly a belief among the players that they can do it against the Glamour Boys. Lebogang Manyama scored the only goal for SuperSport against AmaTuks, and all eyes will be on him to perform against the team that refused to join late last year. The 23-year-old Manyama has had the better of Chiefs de ...
“I am typical South African player. I know fans pay their money for exciting, winning football so I just kept on dribbling and we kept on winning. It was fantastic”. An elated Scara Ngobese tells Kick Off after the Glamour Boys successfully defended the league title in May 2005. “I remember when i joined United in 2009 for a short spell; he said ”i speak with the ball.” He said the ball doesn”t have “moods” like most girls, it obeys instructions like “okapi” if u are rough with it!!! it will expose u, if u are tender with it!! it will take care of you,. I always try to fight for my teammate by making sure our 11th men in our side, this would pick up even the worst performer of the day”.
Chiefs Ready For Feb Frenzy Kaizer Chiefs are said to be ready for a frenzy of matches which will see the club play six matches within the space of 26 days in February, starting after tonight's PSL clash with Moroka Swallows. This means the Glamour Boys will play a game around every four days during this period. After Chiefs' clash with Swallows, the club then take on SuperSport United in the league six days later (February 5). Three days (February 8) thereafter, Stuart Baxter's men then begin their Caf Champions League campaign against Black Africa. The club then have another short three-day break before their next league encounter with Maritzburg United. A four day break ensues before the Amakhosi travel away to Namibia for the second leg against Black Africa. To conclude a frenzied run of games in late February, Chiefs then face Bloemfontein Celtic and Black Leopards as well. Nonetheless, despite the hectic itinerary of matches to come, Glamour Boys hitman, Knowledge Musona, believes the side is equipp ...
