1. The “terrorist” attacks were predicted and exposed well in advance of September 11, 2001. Dr. Garth Nicholson, Ph.D., a foremost researcher of the Gulf War Syndrome investigators, reported to Pentagon officials that he had confirmed intelligence indicating that on Sept. 11, 2001 a “terrorist” strike against the Pentagon would be made. Their sources included individuals in key intelligence positions, the Mafia, and one high-level African diplomat. The warning was passed on to, among others, the National Security Council (Condoleezza Rice) but is was ignored. Dr. Leonard Horowitz, an award winning author of several tremendous books, also made a valiant effort to alert the government, but to no avail. 2. On Friday, September 7, Florida Governor Jeb Bush, a brother to the President, issued an Executive Order in which members of the Florida National Guard were activated, “for the purpose of training to support law-enforcement personnel and emergency management personnel in the event of civil distu ...

As much as I hate seeing the duly elected democratic government of the Ukraine being overthrown by its northerrn neighbor, I am opposed to the United States intervening in that dispute. The reason I am in opposition is that the Obama Administration has gutted the Armed Forces of the U.S. to the point that we would stand absolutely no chance against the forces of the Russian Federation. Since Obama took office, 78 of the most senior Admirals and Generals of our Armed Forces have been fired or forced into early retirement. Our military has been cut to the point that the Adjutant General of the Florida National Guard has just reported to the Governor that the Guard is at its lowest level of staffing since the end of WWII and at present could not repond to any natural disasters or civil unrest except with a minimum of troops and equipment. The National Guard is just one of the many components of the military forces of the US. I am afraid that we will have to sit this one out and take the ridicule of the re .. ...

A little history about one of my favorite cities: First inhabited by native Indians and pirates in 1700s, then by a permanent traders’ settlement in 1822, the island city of Key West is less than two by four miles in size, anchoring the 108 mile chain of Florida Keys. The southernmost city in the continental United States and the only frost-free corner of the nation, for 64 years Key West was Florida’s largest city with a population peak of 23,000 in 1913. From 1890 until 1929, Key West was the wealthiest city per capita in Florida following the market collapse, it gained the dubious distinction of being among the poorest cities in America. In the years before its emergence as a thriving commercial fishing center and tourist destination, the island’s varied economic base has included trading, ship salvage, sponges, cigar manufacturing, weapons smuggling in the 1920s, rum running and shrimping. It remains an important base for the United States Coast Guard and Navy.

During the operation, officers will be out in force looking for boaters whose blood alcohol content (BAC) exceeds the state limit of 0.08. This weekend will include increased patrols, Breathalyzer tests, as well as boater education. Impaired boaters can expect to be arrested or face other serious penalties. In Florida the consequences for BUI include fines, jail and loss of boating or even driving privileges. “We are dedicated to keeping boaters safe on our waters. Southern patriotism is NOT a reenactor thang! From: johnyreb43 To the men of Liberty: For most of my life I have thought that fields of war are the most tragic things in life. Thousands of men dead and dying, whole men torn to pieces, life's blood adding colors to a landscape once beautiful. But I never knew what it looked like when a nation died. I had never conceived of it in the case of America, and so could not know the heart ache and disappointment. When I was born the republic was still on the rise, and though the Yankees had done their damndest to crush the spirit of Liberty when they occupied the South, they had failed. Liberty was blossoming not only in the South, but the plains states, and even unto California. There is no question the field had shifted in America, but for the most part, people still believed in God, not in government. But with every new "bene," every new bribe another America was seduced to materialism and away from God. Slowly at first, but then in bigger chunks the po ...

So the court said you have to give federal benefits to homosexual spouses. The issue here isn't *** marriage, it's that the federal government is holding benefit money. If there was no SSI then this wouldn't be an issue. You could leave your own money to whoever you wanted, spouse or your cat. The issue isn't marriage but federal control of our money.
For the second night in a row, there have been tornado warnings, waterspouts, funnel clouds and torrents of rain in my area. Right now the tornadoes have passed. LEARN THE RISK AND HOW TO GUARD AGAINST MEDICARE FRAUD O ver $60 billion dollars of our nation’s healthcare spending is lost to Medicare fraud. Local Florida Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP) volunteers and staff educate seniors on how to protect themselves. Volunteers teach seniors to never give out their personal Medicare number and information to anyone outside of their medical provider. For example, if anyone asks you for your number in exchange for “free” services or gifts, that is considered fraud. More importantly, seniors should read their Medicare Summary Notice (MSN) or Explanation of Benefits (EOB) to make sure they aren’t being charged for services not rendered and double billing. SMP recruits and trains senior volunteers to educate beneficiaries and caregivers on how to PROECT their information, how to DETECT fraud and once detected, how and where to REPORT it. If you are interested in learning more about how to protect yourself against fraud, volunteering or to set up a presentation on .. ...

Gov. Scott In Concerns About Federal Furloughs The Associated Press "Fla. Legislative Leaders Complain About Furloughs" June 4, 2013 "Florida's two legislative leaders are joining Gov. Rick Scott in raising concerns about federal budget cuts. House Speaker Will Weatherford and Senate President Don Gaetz on Monday wrote letters to Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel and members of Congress asking them to spare federal military technicians from furloughs ... "The two Republican legislative leaders said it was wrong to have furloughs occur during hurricane season because they could impact the readiness of the Florida National Guard. "Scott has already said the cuts mean nearly 1,000 Florida National Guardsmen and technicians will have to take furloughs during the summer."

Two little boys greet their Florida National Guard father as he returns from a year-long deployment .
Many years ago, when I was a new 2nd Lieutenant and new to C Company, 3rd Battalion, 20th Special Forces (Airborne) of the Florida Army National Guard at Fort Lauderdale, a senior Non-Commissioned Officer took several of us young officers under his wing for two weeks and taught us quite a lot about unconventional warfare, direct-action missions and many other aspects of life in the Army. He gave freely of his time and displayed a great dedication and affection to us and to his unit. He was the adopted son of a very wealthy Kentucky mine owner, politician and educator and yet had a very strong work ethic and would give you the shirt off his back. He served in Vietnam with the 101st Airborne, after joining in 1962, where he was severely wounded. He later returned there with the 5th Special Forces Group. He joined the Florida National Guard sometime after leaving active duty. He had a staggering depth of knowledge about the military, electronics, parachute operations, medicine, you name it...he was a h ...
A public departure ceremony for the Florida National Guard's 3rd Battalion, 116th Field Artillery is set for 4...
In 1981 I joined the Army right after High School. In 2006 retired from the Florida National Guard. During those 25 years I did a lot deployments to include Iraq in 2003 and 2004. During that time, Al Asad had a lot of burning gardens going on with Kellogg Brown and Root (KBR). Since Thanksgiving I’ve been, poked, prodded, X-ray, CT scan, PET Scan, blood taken and even a piece of my lung taken just to see what the *** is going on. First it was thought to be lung cancer and now it’s been confirmed it’s NOT. Doctor estimated the spot to be about 10 years old, an infection that was never treaded and basically, crusted over. It still burns sugar and thus lights up like a candle under a PET scan. So today it’s name is a nodule and will remain with me for another 30-40 years if everything works ok as I plan. To my family no I didn’t want to tell you till I knew what it was and a course of action, don’t blame me you raised me to take care of myself. So tonight, I have a little Jager and a cigar, OK . ...
A HOLIDAY MESSAGE FROM THE Adjutant General OF FLORIDA: To all Soldiers, Airmen, and civilians of the Florida National Guard, Thank you for your tremendous efforts this year on behalf of our State and Nation. We've answered the call of our nation in theater and on the southwest border. We've helped prevent the trafficking of drugs on our streets and we've educated our youth on the dangers of illegal substances. We've protected citizens during key national security events and responded to their needs after natural disasters. We've done all this professionally and selflessly. Your leadership is proud of you! The Holidays Season is a special time for keeping balance in our lives. We answer the calls of State and Nation; now we need to focus on our families this holiday season. I encourage everyone to take leave and reconnect with your loved ones. Recent leave policy changes for our AGR workforce will present challenges for those with high leave balances. I hope that the holidays offer an opportunity to ensu ...

This past March, I hit the 37-years-in-uniform mark. 24 and a half years in the Florida National Guard, the rest in the US Army Reserve. I was in the IRR, and I saw an ad for a new Public Affairs unit in Orlando. "That looks interesting." Since then, I've been to France, Korea, Germany, Bosnia, Hungary, Austria, Afghanistan, Qatar, Belgium, Denmark. I went from E-6 to E-8 in two and a half years. I've met a lot of cool people. I love being a first sgt. The Soldiers in my Public Affairs unit are pretty good Soldiers to have. I've had a LOT of Good Soldiers in the 204th MPAD, 343rd MPAD, OMC-A, 300th MPAD, 70th Training Division, 84th Training Command, and the 354th MPAD. Last year, the Army Reserve finally hit it's allowed number of Soldiers. The only problem is that we ended up with a lot of senior NCOs and officers. So they implemented a Force Shaping program. No more double slotting; no more sitting in a lower grade. The number of E-9s dropped to 99% of authorized, and and E-8s to 91%. However, the Army ...

Todays rant. You've probably heard that Walgreens no longer accepts Tri-Care Health Insurance for prescriptions. Tri-Care is the coverage for our military veterans. So they are saying to those who served "We don't want you". Consider this the next time you head to Walgreens. I switched to mail order from Tri-Care when Walgeens spit on me. (Having served 20 years in the Florida National Guard). Thoughts to ponder. Bill
Not posting any pic with this - working the RNC convention this week was tremendous and the reason is: The Secret Service, Homeland Security, Florida National Guard, Tampa PD, other dept fromall over PD, Admiral Security, FBI and any other agency with presence at the RNC convention. Many of them will go on to Charlotte,NC. IT IS NOT ANY EASY JOB TO KEEP PEOPLE SAFE from the most clueless violent destructive citizens. We need to pray for all of them.

Twenty years ago today, Hurricane Andrew ripped across South Florida, specifically south Dade County. I’m not going to quote stats; they are available in numerous places. I was in the Florida National Guard ’s Battery B, 3 Battalion/265th Air Defense, in Fort Pierce. We were called up and spent just short of six weeks in Miami. This is my story. I will be adding more ‘chapters’ throughout the day. On Sunday, 23 Aug 1992, I was boarding up my house in Fort Pierce. Hurricane Andrew was predicted to make a right turn and head up the east coast. At about 500pm or so, my ex walked out of the house and said, “Sgt Shrout is on the phone.” I was told we were being activated, be at the armory in 30 minutes and bring enough clothes for three days. I told him I would be there as soon as I finished boarding up. My ex dropped me off at the armory a couple hours later. We were loading gear, tents, whatever we thought we would need. We staged vehicles in preparations to be ready to roll when ordered. We foun ...

Later I joined him in the ranks of the Florida National Guard where he was once my senior rater. My thoughts and prayers are with all family and community. He will be greatly missed!

G’ville part 4 Well, some of you have discovered the album I posted up of the chicken coop. It was an interesting project, given the fact that I had to forage for material and only had two power tools. The drill I used less than the saw. My hammer and my good right arm can do the work of a drill. But it was handy at times. Just wish I had better material to work with, but that’s what Mame wanted, and she was not only paying me, but feeding me as well. I really wish I had a chalk line and a decent level, but I can eyeball, and I know how to use a straight edge….. even if it’s not straight. BTW Mame… I love you Darl’in but don’t ever tell anyone what my cost was to you, I’m networking here. ;-) And tell Rowan… The first thing I did when I got back to Starke, was buy a bag of potatoes, a crate of eggs, a slab of bacon and a tub of butter. You were at work mostly, but Rowan knows. While still working on the chicken coop, I had another appointment. That being Florida National Guard Drill. ...
