Greetings  in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ!   Allow me a few moments to introduce myself. My name is Vincent Buonfiglio and I am the pastor of Pillars of Faith Tabernacle in Flushing, NY.    This work was started by my father, Pastor Anthony Buonfiglio in 1982. He surrendered his life to Jesus in 1977 after a life changing experience with God that transformed him and instantly set him free from a 28 year addiction to drugs and alcohol!   In 1988, under the leading of the Holy Spirit, he developed the Victorious Overcomers Support Group Substance Abuse Program. This ministry has been answered prayer for many church leaders as well as those who struggled with addictions and compulsive behaviors who now have been set free and delivered by the power of God through this program!   What makes Victorious Overcomers different from other support groups is that this is a biblical alternative to recovery. In actuality it is a 100% Word based, Christ centered discipleship program that instills the virtues ...
And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe. 8: And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; 9: And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith. 10: Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear? 11: But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they. 12: Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them. 13: And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me: 14: Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for hi ...

DAILY DEVOTIONAL 2 27 13   A SOON RAPTURE OR DEPARTURE   2 Peter 1:14 "Knowing that shortly I must put off this my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ hath shewed me." KJB In this epistle from the Apostle Peter, he is penning this to the scattered believers who were being persecuted from without and treated badly from the false teachers that had infiltrated their ranks.  He wrote in order to "put (them) always in remembrance of these things" which they had been taught because they needed to "be published in the present truth" (vs. 12).  As he wrote this epistle he had time to reflect on his pending departure or "decease" (vs. 15, literally "exodus") as simply putting off this temporary tabernacle (body) and putting on another one as a person would simply change their clothes, but it will be done instantly (2 Corinthians 5:1-2).  It seems, by what he said, that this most likely was the last time he would be able to strengthen them in the faith and in their lives.   There was a time before that ...
Romans 5:1 "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:" God's Morning 'Loved Ones' and 'Friends', Being 'Justified by Faith'... When we agree in 'The Spirit' to give all of our concerns over to YAHWEH, we then show that what we've been 'Rightl Taught' about God's Saving Grace has fully taken hold of our attention 'To, Of and Towards' His 'Omnipotent Power'; therefore in doing so we become 'Justified by our Faith' and the resolve to not be deterred from the path we have chosen in following 'Him'. This "life" we have here is full of "turbulence" day in and day out. Even keeping our families clothed, a roof over our heads, and food in our mouths is a constant work. Deadlines are hectic. Trials come constantly. We need peace and that shall we find! Peace in Christ Jesus. Trust in the power of His resurrection and you shall see eternal heavenly rest! Rejoice in that rest and preach the redemptive power of His resurrection in all the earth. What causes these 'Episo ...
To begin with, I believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore I am a Christian. I believe that the Lord called me into ministry 20 some years ago, in which I did not act upon the Father’s request. I chose instead to follow a life of sin instead, thinking that the Lord somehow made a mistake. I was afraid, and I did not want the responsibility of being a pastor. The story of Jonah and the whale strangely comes to mind.   But times change, and so did I. The Lord was working His perfect plan in my life. I even went to a Bible Institute to help prepare myself to be a better equipped pastor for my Lord. To say that all sin stopped would be a lie, but they seem small as to where I came from! You see, the Lord works in His own way; not ours. In His timing; not man’s.   Consider these verses: If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we ha ...
Are you looking forward to that blessed Hope? Titus 2:13 "Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ." This is the happy privilege of the believer in Jesus, to be looking for the second appearance of his Lord. Jesus has promised that He will come again; that He will "come quickly" (Rev. 22:20). He has declared that His coming will be sudden, like that of "a thief in the night" (1 Thess. 5:2). The believer is a man who is expecting it, waiting for it, and preparing to welcome it. He knows that though "the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;" yet that another end of His coming is, that He may "be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe" (2 Thess. 1: 7-10). Therefore ...
Saints, lately I've been posting what is part of a series on what is and what isn't acceptable behavior among the brethren towards one another as well as toward the leaders of our congregations. These were and are not my opinions, nor are they options; but are mandates according to the infallibly Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. I've been addressing how we are to submit to our pastors; the Lord has called them to be His undershepherds. They are in charge of the church as they answer to God. If they are not following Christ then we are not to follow these Spiritual Heads of the church. There are also ways to correct, rebuke or restore the brethren who have been caught up in sin. Always do so in love because the main objective is to turn them from the errors of their ways. Thus, I've been showing the importance of not being judgmental in the flesh, but judging only by the Word of our Almighty God. Remembering also, that He gives us mercy and has given us grace. Next I addressed the problems with quoting scr ...
I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength, which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, For he received honor and glory from God th ...
This morning we have this faith that whatever we ask shall be given to us through our Lord Jesus Christ. And Jesus, replying, said to them, Have faith in God [constantly]. Truly I tell you, whoever says to this mountain, Be lifted up and thrown into the sea! and does not doubt at all in his heart but believes that what he says will take place, it will be done for him. For this reason I am telling you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe (trust and be confident) that it is granted to you, and you will [get it]. (Mark 11:22-24 AMP) I spea healing, wholeness, prosperity and favor upon you life in Jesus name. Please visit us at Living-Sound Faith Tabernacle and you will be fulfilled
Be Encouraged Today... Even In Your Storms Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. I do not know what your needs are today but Jesus knows. You may be discouraged today. You may be going through the hardest trial of your life. I want to encourage you today! Whatever your situation-- the Lord can meet your need! Trust Him-- He loves you. In this stressful world in which we live, there is a resting place. Aren't you glad? That rest is found safe in the arms of the Lord Jesus Christ. When troubles come, we can run to our Rock-- the Lord is our Shelter from the storms. He does not always make the winds and the storms cease but He will give us adequate shelter until the storm passes by and will lead us on-- and where He leads, we will follow. We are His sheep and Christ Jesus is our Loving Shepherd. Blessed be His name! Sometimes, the Lord makes the storm to cease, as Psalm 107:29 says: He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still. Other ...
THE HEBREWS 11:6 LIFESTYLE OF WORSHIP: After a rather very long discourse of how the tabernacle of Moses and its paraphernalia of worship, foreshadowed New Testament worship, by virtue of the better sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ of Himself, compared to the shadowy sacrifices of the Levites and priests of old from chapters 7 to 10, the writer of Hebrews breaks out into a lively presentation of the reality of faith as it relates to pleasing God. This suggested the fact that, faith and what it produces – extravagant worship – are the cause and effect of the glorious life to which God has called all believers in Christ. If you are not passionate about worship, you almost certainly haven’t connected to the best of God’s will for your life in Christ. God is always seeking for exuberant, extravagant worshippers, who will hold nothing back, but recklessly abandon themselves to the shaping of His worth. The likes of Abraham, Moses, David, Solomon, the prophets, the apostles of Jesus including Paul, an ...
