Four episodes in and Mad Men is still a slow moving, relatively boring, show. The re-creation of 1950's New York is impressive. I'm amazed that the intense chauvinistic element wasn't a huge sore spot for N.O.W. or a similar org. Regardless of its historical accuracy. To this point, the scene where Roger Sterling refers to Pete Campbell's new existence as to "live in Don Draper's shadow" was by far the high water mark. I find that I am longing for Roger Sterling scenes and much much less Pete Campbell scenes. Four episodes in and I'm not done, but as far as long running Emmy Award winning Dramas, so far Mad Men is not in the same zip code as the West Wing.
