As Big Ben struck 12 midnight, fireworks from the Elizabeth Tower heralded the phenomenal pyrotechnics spectacle from the London Eye as well as from barges on the Thames. Music added a unique and celebratory flare to the evening where people were dancing and singing as the dazzling fireworks display lit up the sky in every shade of colour imaginable. Listening to the patriotic segment of the New Year show and watching such a beautiful airborne panorama, the greatness of Britain was reflected in the ripples of the Thames.
