Sorry scalpers, it'll be North Carolina and Notre Dame for the ACC title tomorrow night:
Duke Basketball on Path to No. 1 Seed in NCAA Tourney After Win over UNC By Timothy Rapp (Featured Columnist) on February 14, 2013 The Duke Blue Devils have absolutely no reason to miss out on a No. 1 seed this season in the NCAA tournament. After beating North Carolina on Wednesday evening, the schedule is quite favorable for the Blue Devils down the stretch. Sure, Duke has a date with No. 3 Miami at home and closes the season by traveling to Chapel Hill to play the Tar Heels once again, but Duke should split those contests at the worst and should win its five other games in the league. From there, all the Blue Devils likely need to do to earn a top seed in the tournament is reach the finals or possibly even semifinals of the ACC tournament. In a year when the league is pretty weak, that shouldn't be too difficult to do. Duke is too talented to suddenly fold down the stretch and blow a golden opportunity. Since this is rivalry week and I have nothing better to do, I present my top ten hated sports teams. And I really do hate them... Hate Hate Hate! 10: North Carolina basketball. 9: Anything Bethune Cookman. 8. Manchester United. 7: Miami Hurricanes. 6: Florida Gators. 5: Duke basketball. 4: Ohio State football. 3: Any team that LeBron James plays for. 2. New York Yankees. 1. Dallas Cowboys!
Oh, North Carolina... how I miss you already... What a great time I had there! Met Coach Roy Williams again, re-visited the UNC campus and the Dean E. Smith Center (my favorite team - UNC) and had the chance to visit the Cameron Indoor Stadium complex and Duke's basketball courts. Finally, just before I left NC, I met Coach Joanne P. McCallie of Duke's Women Basketball and we talked for a while about their recruitment process and portuguese women basketball. Great and very friendly people in NC and I will be back again, that's a promise!! (thanks Gabe, Chris and Nick). Now I'm back in Boston, MA :)
