I liked a video Drew Brees pass to Devery Henderson to break Johnny Unitas' record
January 16th 1970—Saints are re-aligned into the new National Football Conference western division with the 49ers, Rams, and Falcons. Six is held at Tulane Stadium on CBS-TV. The Dallas Cowboys beat the Miami Dolphins 24-3. Cowboys QB Roger Staubach is named game MVP. 1995—Monte Kiffin is named new Saints defensive coordinator replacing Steve Sidwell. 2010—Saints defeat the Arizona Cardinals in the Superdome 45-14 in a second-round playoff game. It was the Saints third-ever playoff win. Although the Cardinals scored on the game’s first offensive play (70 yards TD run by RB Tim Hightower), Saints controlled rest of the way. Saints QB Drew Brees has 3 TD passes (TE Jeremy Shockey, WRs Devery Henderson & Marques Colston), RB Lynell Hamilton a TD run, RB Reggie Bush has a 46-yard TD run & in the 4th quarter has an 83-yard punt return for TD, safety Darren Sharper has a fumble recovery. Cardinals QB Kurt Warner retires after the game. Today’s birthdays: ...
Drew Brees to Devery Henderson for a 80 yard TD pass (I'm psychic) lol watch
Drew Brees, if you want to move the ball. Devery Henderson shouldn't be your option.
New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees hits WR Devery Henderson for a 40-yard touchdown to make it his 48th straight game with a touchdown pass, breaking Johnny Un...
I had an amazing weekend with an amazing friend! I was there to watch Drew Brees surpass Johnny Unitas's record and got his autograph! But wait there's more, Devery Henderson threw me his bca band! THEN... My boys brought home a win! It was great! Thanks PK
Drew Brees' 40-yard touchdown pass to Devery Henderson in Sunday's first quarter put Brees past Johnny Unitas
Saw a little bit of magic in the NFL today. First in Indy, where the recent leukemia diagnosis of head coach Chuck Pagano forced cancer survivor Bruce Arians into an interim head coaching position. Luck & Reggie Wayne's final minute TD drive was one for the books. No way Crosby was making that kick with all that emotion in the stadium. Powerful win, Colts. Later on, Drew Brees broke Johnny Unitas' consecutive games with a passing TD; a record that stood for over 50 years. The record breaking reception was to Devery Henderson, who wears 19 - just as Unitas did. Baseball, it's October, you're on deck.
The New Orleans Saints defeated the San Diego Chargers 31-24 at New Orleans last night. Drew Brees threw 4 touchdown passes to give him 48 consecutive games of throwing a touchdown pass to set an NFL record. The previous record was held by Johnny Unitas. Brees threw a 40 yard TD pass to Devery Henderson with 2:58 left in the 1st quarter to set the record. New Orleans is now 1-4 and San Diego is now 3-2. An important win for New Orleans. Looking like this NFL season has the potential of getting very interesting.
Shout Out to Martez Wilson (game winning fumble) Drew Brees (New record holder for longest streak for a touchdown pass in a game) Johhny Unitus (old record holder) Devery Henderson (for catching Drews record breaking pass) and Quitten Jammer (hope he is ok cuz he got burnt for the Record breaking TD)! SAINTS RUN
Back in 2009 on October 18th Drew Brees started his streak with a TD pass to Jeremy Shockey, 48 games now sets the record with a TD pass to Devery Henderson.
Great job Drew Brees. Drew Brees breaks 52-year Unitas passing record AP Reporting Drew Brees has set an NFL record with touchdown passes in 48 straight games, breaking the mark set by Johnny Unitas a half-century ago. The record-setting scoring strike was a 40-yard pass to Devery Henderson against the San Diego Chargers on Sunday night. Unitas set the record between 1956 and 1960 and no one had come within 10 games until Brees began to close in late last season. Tom Brady has the third-longest streak, extending his to 37 games Sunday in a victory over Denver. Coach Sean Payton, assistant head coach Joe Vitt and general manager Mickey Loomis - all three suspended in the NFL's bounty investigation - were permitted by the NFL at Brees' request to attend the game.
I need Jackie Battle to get the start ahead of Ryan Matthews, Drew Brees to throw TDs to Devery Henderson, an the Panthers D to hold up.
Ok Saints' fans, here it is: I predict that the first possession of the game for us, Drew Brees throws a bomb to Devery Henderson for a touchdown to break Johnny Unitas record and get that speculation over and set the pace for an evening of great football. (Psych: 101) WhoDat!!!
Got the call this afternoon, I'll be in the Press Box this Sunday night to witness History being made when Drew Brees breaks Johnny Unitas' record!!! Can't wait to see it happen! Plus, I heard from the Saints yesterday, looks like my interview with Devery Henderson will have to happen after the bye. But Devery is "looking forward to it"!
