I liked a video Gov. Deval Patrick's Speech at 2012 Democratic National Convention
Repeating a favorite talking point, speakers at the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, N.C., took aim at Mitt Romney’s job-creation record as governor of Massachusetts. "By the time he left office, Massachusetts was 47th in the nation in job creation," said Massachusetts Go...
Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick's full speech at the 2012 Democratic National Convention. Watch our complete coverage of the convention here:
With a major speech at the Democratic National Convention, Governor Deval Patrick enjoyed a breakthrough moment on the national stage. Now, he finds himself grappling with the kind of crisis that could taint his national image and keep him bogged down in the details of governing. The revelation that...

The following is the text of Gov. Deval Patrick’s address tonight at the Democratic National Convention: Good evening, Democrats! Are you fired up? Are you ready to go? I hope so. This is the election of a lifetime. Because more than any one candidate or policy, what’s at stake...
"It's time for Democrats to grow some backbone and stand up for what we believe!" ~Deval Patrick, Massachusetts Governor, 2012 Democratic National Convention
Stephen Colbert continued his coverage of the Democratic National Convention on Thursday night, mocking conservative commentators who questioned Obama's motives for changing the venue for his speech.
Deval Patrick, the current Governor of Massachusetts gave a critique of his predecessor, Mitt Romney, during his speech at the Democratic National Convention ye
A pretty interesting Democratic National Convention. Great speeches from Michelle Obama and Bill Clinton, a preview of coming stars like Julian Castro and Deval Patrick, a real fire and brimstone speech from Jennifer Granholm, and even Hard Scrapple Joe stayed out of trouble last night! The emotional point came when Gabby Giffords led the delegates in the "Pledge of Allegiance"! And Barack closed the convention with a muted, yet optimistic speech about what lies ahead. Will be interesting if he gets a bigger bounce out of the convension than Romney/Ryan did!
Obstacles, stumbling blocks, mountains, hard times, the vicissitudes of life, the school of hard knocks. All speak well of the duality innately implanted in the consciousness of the walk called life. During this Democratic National Convention watching I have been reawakened and quite honestly shaken from my mundane slumber of woe is me, poor Pres. Obama, poor USA due to the fact of the rearing again of nasty racism against MY POTUS, many people still feeling the weak economic rercovery, the polarization by the Republicans of the oligarchy (the few wealthy controlling greedy) vs. the proletariat (wage earning working class). Ok Kenny stop rambling. What am I saying: Obstacles, challenges, hard times get the blood pumping, adrenalin, the "can do" spirit, the "God is on the side of the downtrodden" and the power of hope, and the vision of of a better day becomes bigger and brighter with each passing moment. The best speech to me was that of Mass. Gov. Deval Patrick who told Democrats to "grow some backbone ...
Some observations on the Democratic National Convention, along with a prediction or two. Gabby Giffords. What an inspiration. I cry again just thinking about her delivering the Pledge tonight. How could that not move you to your very soul? And if it did not, I feel incredibly sorry for your sad and pathetic self. And seeing her with Debbie Wasserman Schultz, who is one of our future presidents, prediction alert.Oh my. They are both huge heros and inspirations to me. What a gift that was to us all. John Kerry. Who knew? Where in the world was the real John Kerry when he was running for president? Michelle Obama. Wow. I am so proud to be an American woman and have her as our First Lady. Class, elegance, intelligence, accessible, sensible, Mom-In-Chief. Lucky us. Lucky President Obama. Bill Clinton. He is such a great man, flaws notwithstanding. He brings it and does not back down. And he does not care if you like it or not. Arithmetic! Maybe even I can embrace it now. Deval Patrick ...
The Democratic National Convention was PHENOMENAL! It offered hope for the future, displayed diversity and outlined our realistic challenges and historic fervor to rekindle and embrace patriotism. I was so proud to Massachusetts represented by Gov. Deval Patrick, Mayor Thomas Menino and City Councillor Tito Jackson. I am a 100% supporter of President Barak Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama and so proud to be a Democrat and an American.
On Wednesday Piers Morgan spoke to Sandra Fluke and Deval Patrick live from the Democratic National Convention. Morgan also spoke to Paul Ryan who addressed Mitt Romney's "flip-flopping" stance on abortion. Do you agree with Ryan that "people change their positions over the years"?
Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney was pounded in various speeches at the 2012 Democratic National Convention from Martin O'Malley, Deval Patrick,...
Deval Patrick takes the stage at the 2012 Democratic National Convention.
Charlotte In 2012 - Democratic National Convention has been a massive success so far. Who can compare to the diversity, charisma, excitement & leadership provided by speakers like Tammy Duckworth, Mayor Julián Castro, Deval Patrick, Martin O'Malley & Michelle Obama! For wounded warriors, the choice is Forward. Hispanics can comfortably say "Estamos Unidos". We Democrats have a backbone as we move "Forward, Not Back". Now for Day Two.
Governor Deval Patrick, speaking Tuesday night at the Democratic National Convention, assailed his predecessor’s economic record, pointing to anemic job growth and deep budget cuts that affected education, transportation, and other programs that support the state’s economy. Romney’s campaign responded that the former governor turned a wide budget deficit into a surplus, held the line on taxes, and left office with fewer unemployed in Massachusetts than today. See an analysis of Romney’s record, which is strikingly similar to hurdles faced by President Obama. This guy was incredible. When he was done, Mitt Romney needed a lot of band aids. His record was looking REALLY BAD
As laughable as it seems, Gov. Deval Patrick must be running for president in 2016 the way he was trying to thread the needle last night at the Democratic National Convention. He mentioned the word “God” twice, risky rhetoric among a group of moonbats who had just excised the dangerously...
Deval Patrick gave the best speech at a Democratic National Convention since Mario Cuomo. He should be POTUS in 2016.
'Twas a night of memorable and outstanding speeches at the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, NC. Some faves though: the First Lady's (of course) personal speech, Mayor Julian Castro's (wow, that's a presidentiable) keynote, and my fave - Gov. Deval Patrick's (i'v got a crush) exhortations. Can't wait for what's in store tomorrow. Btw, Jessica Sanchez is also singing...
Deval Patrick, governor of Massachusetts, spoke at the 2012 Democratic National Convention criticizing Mitt Romney's record as Governor of Massachusetts. He also spoke about the successes of President Obama's years in office, despite Republican opposition, and about the need for a President that sup...
Great speeches tonight at the Democratic National Convention!! Deval Patrick and Michelle Obama were definitely the highlights.
Great speeches at the Democratic National Convention tonight - my favorites were Deval Patrick, Julian Castro, and especially Michelle Obama. And such a diverse crowd - far more representative of the diversity of our great country than the crowd at the RNC last week. FOUR MORE YEARS!
Here's the transcript of Deval Patrick's barnburner of a speech:
