Deval Patrick & Corey Booker
Deval Laurdine Patrick (born July 31, 1956) is the 71st and current Governor of Massachusetts. Cory Anthony Booker (born April 27, 1969) is the Mayor of Newark, New Jersey. He is a member of the Democratic Party./5
Deval Patrick Corey Booker Joe Biden Michelle Obama Julian Castro Barack Obama Ted Strickland White House Elizabeth Warren Bill Clinton George W. Bush Mitt Romney Jesse Jackson Santa Claus Al Sharpton Lilly Ledbetter Air Force One Kal Penn Colin Powell
Deval Patrick, maybe...? I like Corey Booker too...but he's another Senator...
Like but would rather dynamic Deval Patrick or sociable Corey Booker. Regionalism overrated
So Jeb Bush is considering running for President! Seriously, Michael Bolton would do a *** of a lot better than a Bush will ever do! George H. W. Bush was terrible, George W. Bush was worse, and Jeb Bush would mess us up even more! I'll go for Hillary, Corey Booker, Deval Patrick, or Terry McAuliffe to run for President way before I'd even think of considering Jeb Bush or any other dirt bag, Tea Party, Racist Conservative Republican who wants to destroy America in the White House!
Barack Obama, Deval Patrick, Corey Booker, all of whom remind me of me.
I'm pretty sure Corey Booker and/or Deval Patrick will run and sadly, I don't think either has a chance.
“Should we beat on Corey Booker some more?” Nope but it is time to give Deval Patrick & Kasim Reed the spotlight!
Engaged in a respectful but interesting convo with a friend/colleague about racial identity politics and black voters "voting for blacks." Citing an article yesterday from Dewayne Wickham of USA Today, I countered that if race, alone, mattered, that as Wickham wrote, Jesse Jackson would have been riding Air Force One and Al Sharpton would have made it to the White House too. Wickham's latter example, regarding Sharpton, was perhaps the best because Al, while loved by many blacks for his social activism, never was considered by most to be on par politically with a candidate like Barack Obama or future candidates like Corey Booker and Deval Patrick. Saying that, what stumped my buddy was my question as to whether he had ever voted for a black candidate in his life---the answer was "no" but he responded that he would have voted for Colin Powell and would vote for me if ever I ran for elected office. While I appreciate that, I think my point was well made that identity politics is not as cut and dried as some ...
How well does this work? DNC2012 as the Starship Enterprise: Starring Bill Clinton as James T Kirk; President Obama as Spock; FLOTUS as Uhura (really?); Joe Biden as Bones McCoy; Julian Castro as Sulu (course to set...); and (Deval Patrick? John Kerry? Corey Booker?) as Scotty. Guest starring Sandra Fluke et. al. It's all about the future.
Because its the party of Deval Patrick and Elizabeth Warren and Joe Biden and Julian Castro and Corey Booker..and GABBY GIFFORDS!
I was a registered Republican in my uninformed youth; I changed party affiliation when George W. Bush was nominated in 2000 and have never looked back. After watching three days of incredible speeches by Bill Clinton, Michelle Obama, Joe Biden, Sister Simone Campbell, Deval Patrick, Corey Booker, John Kerry, Julián Castro, and many others, I realize just why I am a Democrat. I DO want to go forward, not backwards. I DO care about my fellow man, particularly those less fortunate than I. I DO want to be a part of the party of inclusion, the party of the many, the party of the diverse - not the party of the few. I am just bursting with pride and wish I could go vote right NOW!
Future of the Democratic party? I like it: Deval Patrick, Corey Booker, Julian Castro, Martin O'Malley, Elizabeth Warren, Hillary Clinton, Kamala Harris, and Michelle Obama (whatever she decides to do), Anthony Villalagrossa, and Joe Biden
Well, last night it was Michelle Obamas speech that everyone was talking about. It was fantastic! But there were so many great ones. Corey Booker, Deval Patrick, Letty Ledbetter,..., and the great video tribute to Ted Kennedy. If you didn't see them catch them online, they are all downloadable. Tonight we sit here in anticipation of President Clintons speech having just heard another great speech by Rep. Emmanuel Clever. Fired up,ready to go.
The bad thing about working overnight is I'm always behind until my afternoon nap. Now I'm awake and all caught up & I stand here proud to say "I AM PROUD TO BE A DEMOCRAT!" Mayor Julián Castro, inspiring. Corey Booker, truth! Deval Patrick, where did this guy come from? I feel like I can slay a dragon after than speech. Lilly Ledbetter, thank you for furthering the women's rights movement. Kal Penn, thanks for recognizing the man in the invisible chair (classic!) Ted Strickland, killed Romney! Stacey Lihn, thank you for your courage, thank you for sharing your story Michelle Obama, all I can come up with is wow... just...WOW!
Who else thought the Democrats had a great opening night? I was very (and pleasantly) impressed with the quality of the speakers and the speeches -- the Democrats have a deeper bench of talent than I was giving them credit for. It looks like there are several possibilities for 2016! Like most people I hadn't heard much about Julián Castro, who turned out to be smart, adorable, and a very polished speaker! Ted Strickland from Ohio gave a bang-up assassination of Mitt Romney. His line about Romney firing the reindeer and outsourcing the elves if he were Santa Claus was hysterical as well as true! Deval Patrick was another fiery speaker tonight, and I heard Corey Booker did a good job, too, earlier in the evening. Michelle Obama absolutely knocked it out of the park -- one of the finest convention speeches I've ever heard, both in content and delivery. I think this will go a long way towards energizing the Democratic base and getting the folks who worked so hard for Obama in 2008 to do it again in 2 ...
I have a 5 a.m. run in the morning, but I'm so full from all I heard tonight beginning with Corey Booker, Deval Patrick and then culminating with the FLOTUS that I can't go to sleep. I'm a DEMOCRAT and proud to be a support of President Obama.
So proud to be a Democrat right now. These guys, and gals, are highly intelligent and gave such wonderful speeches. Watches the entire might so far. Thought Corey Booker was great. Then Wendy Duckworth, then the absolutely incredible Deval Patrick. Wow!!! And then the wonderful Michael O'Malley having to follow Mr. Patrick. But he was awesome, too... 'this a shame he had to follow Patrick, though. And now Julian Castro is speaking. Such intelligence in this party. It is so awesome that we as a Democratic party have such diversity in our party.
So. Deval Patrick and Juian Castro in 2016??? With Corey Booker as either Atty. General or head of the Fed.
Deval Patrick or Corey Booker as the second black president? After Hillary of course...
Deval Patrick & Corey Booker must have some passive aggressive thing with Obama. This is why Dems CAN'T/WON'T sty on message.
