Join Rally to Oppose Halifax International Security Forum! War Criminals Are Not Welcome in Canada! Work to Establish an Anti-War Government! (Photos: Anti-war demonstration, November 17, 2012, outside 4th annual Halifax International Security Forum) On November 21-23, the sixth annual Halifax International Security Forum (HISF) will be held in Halifax. The organization No Harbour for War is calling on Haligonians to oppose this warmongering gathering and join in an anti-war rally on Saturday, November 22 at 1:00 pm, at Halifax Peace & Freedom Park (formerly Cornwallis Park) at Hollis and South Sts. The HISF is inextricably linked to NATO, a venue for the U.S.-led aggressive alliance to hold PR events, plan future aggression and spread disinformation about the role of NATO in the world. The former deputy director of the CIA fears that the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria could carry out attacks in the United States.
Rex 84, short for Readiness Exercise 1984, was a classified "scenario and drill" developed by the United States federal government to suspend the United States Constitution, declare martial law, place military commanders in charge of state and local governments, and detain large numbers of American citizens who are deemed to be "national security threats", in the event that the President declares a "State of National Emergency". The plan states, events causing such a declaration would be widespread U.S. opposition to a U.S. military invasion abroad, such as if the United States were to directly invade Central America. To combat what the government perceived as "subversive activities", the plan also authorized the military to direct ordered movements of civilian populations at state and regional levels. Rex 84 was written by Lieutenant Colonel Oliver North, who was both National Security Council White House Aide, and NSC liaison to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and John Brinkerhoff, the d ...

Iraq Continues To Spiral June 16, 2014 The unraveling of Iraq continues to dominate the headlines. It's not hard to understand why. A ruthless breed of Islamic radicals is taking the country by storm, creating a geopolitical nightmare and a humanitarian crisis. The ISIS – Islamic State of Iraq and Syria – took control of yet another Iraqi city. On Monday, the al Qaeda offshoot seized the town of Tal Afar in Northwest Iraq. This adds to the growing list of towns and cities the group has seized including Mosul, Tikrit, Kirkuk and Fallujah. The United States government has started evacuating some of its staff from our embassy in Baghdad and sent in Marines to protect it. However, Barack Obama made it clear last week that we will not be sending ground troops into Iraq. Complicating matters is the fact that Iraq has sent in support for the Iraqi government. As the United States and the world continues to painfully negotiate on Iran's nuclear developments, we may now be leaning on them to assist in Iraq. Fo ...

from Occupy Marines: Note: Operation Ajax - Iran, 1953 - was about OIL. "In August of 1953, the United States’ Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) executed a coup against Mohammad Mossadegh’s democratic government in Iran. The CIA code name given to this coup d’état was Operation Ajax. Operation Ajax remains important in world history because it is often believed to be the initial cause of anti-Western sentiment in the Islamic Republic of Iran. Prime Minister of Great Britain, Winston Churchill, who was adamantly trying to keep control of the oil in Iran, looked to the United States for help. In was not until the inauguration of Dwight Eisenhower in January of 1953 that Winston Churchill received the support that he was looking for. It is believed that Eisenhower offered support because he viewed a possible Russian invasion in the weak state of Iran as a Cold War Threat. Newly appointed United State Secretary of State, John Foster Dulles, and his brother, Allen Dulles, who was Deputy Director of the ...

2012 North American Heat Wave It is not fully understood what is causing the 2012 North American drought, but the bizarre weather patterns have started to impact daily life. The extreme weather started in March of 2012 when over 7,000 high temperature records were shattered in North America, mainly in the U.S. and Canada. At the same time, the western United States and parts of Canada experienced some severe cold weather patterns. In March of 2012, Oregon received a new record for snowfall, while in Chicago the temperatures were 30 degrees hotter than usual. Mike Halpert, who is the deputy director of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Climate Prediction Center, called the record-breaking month of March “mind-boggling.” Global warming advocate Bill McKibben said: “it’s not just off the charts. It’s off the wall the charts are tacked to.” In June of 2012, North America experienced the most deadly and destructive derecho (severe wind and thunderstorm system) in North American history. Fast and Furious Growing up in a Media Saturated World By Father John Flynn, LC ROME, AUG. 17, 2012 (Zenit.org).- Violence, video games, and sex: what effect does it have on children and adolescents? The latest contribution to this debate comes in a book recently published in Australia. “Growing Up Fast and Furious,” is a collection of essays edited by Wayne Warburton and Danya Braunstein (The Federation Press). In his contribution Warburton, Deputy Director of the Children and Families Research Center at Macquarie University (Sydney), noted that in the United States children aged 8-18 are exposed to an average of almost 11 hours of media each day. Children in other countries might not reach this level, but they are not far behind, he added. In recent years media is not only more portable but it is also easier for children to access it in multiple places within and outside the home. This means it is increasingly difficult for parents to monitor their children’s media consumption, Warburton observed. ...

Bama was being interrogated, as at press time, in Damaturu, the Yobe State capital. He may be moved to Abuja, if his condition improves, source said.
