What do we need Sami Khedirat for? Honestly, he is good, but with d crop of players in chelsea now, I don't think we need him, unless Remiras will have problem because I know Matic can't stay on d bench as far as Mourinho is concerned. Okey, if he comes to chelsea, what will be d hope of the Oscar! I just discovered that Jos Mourinho never like the players he met during this second stint at chelsea. Let's take a reflection, Torres, Demba Ba, Lampard, Ashley Cole, Essien, Lukaku, Juan Mata, De Brune, David Luiz etc and now Cech will soon go. Oscar will follow suit I guess. What about Mikel, on d bench. The players Jos Mourinho fashion and fancy most are his back four which are John Terry, Azpiliqueta, Cahill and Ivan Novic, this is because they(back four) have unity at d back, and guess what, if Magala had come to Chelsea, who would have been on d bench by now, I know Cahill, Azpiliqueta and Ivanovic can't be on d bench, but would he have benched d captain of chelsea for Mangala! Now the question is why di ...

YOU DON'T BELIEVE THIS?THEN WAKE UP FROM YOUR DREAM!!! *Lampard out, Fabregas in: Is this Chelsea's line-up next season? Chelsea won nothing in Jose Mourinho's return to the club last season. They finished third in the Premier League and were knocked out of the FA and League Cups in the fifth round and crashed out of the Champions League against Atletico Madrid at the semi-final stage. Mourinho lambasted the lack of firepower at his disposal, which is likely to be remedied by the arrival of £32m Spain striker Diego Costa, with Atletico manager Diego Simeone confirming he would not stand in the player's way if he wanted to leave. In the middle, long-serving Frank Lampard has decided to leave the club after 13 years and as a result the Blues have been linked with a £30m transfer for ex- Arsenal man Cesc Fabregas , something Spain-based journalist Graham Hunter believes will happen. At the back, though Ashley Cole and David Luiz have left to seek pastures new, John Terry earned himself a new one-year contr ...

The first reaction is that PSG overpaid wildly. David Luiz is five months older than Thiago Silva was when he made the move to Paris two years ago. For David Luiz to cost anywhere from $10 to $23 million more than his Selecao colleague, he would have to be a whole lot better. (There is some inflation in fees, but not to that degree.) Simply put, he's not. He's not even the same ZIP code. We're talking about a guy who could not beat Gary Cahill and John Terry to a starting spot in Chelsea's lineup. It's not a knock on Chelsea’s centre-backs; it's just a reflection on how the most expensive central defender in the world really ought to find playing time at his preferred position. Instead, he made just 15 Premier League starts, nearly half of them in central midfield. David Luiz is on his way to a new challenge in Paris. Nor is it a case of Jose Mourinho simply failing to appreciate David Luiz's talents. Mourinho's predecessor Rafa Benitez also shunted David Luiz into the middle of the park often. In Benit ...
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is reportedly interested in luring four of Atletico Madrid's Champions League finalists to Stamford Bridge. English paper,The Telegraphsays Mourinho is confident of finalising the £32 million transfer of Atlético Madrid striker Diego Costa now that the Champions League final is out of the way, but he will still look to add more goals to his squad. Options Other than signing Costa and bringing goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois back to the club, Chelsea are interested in two more Atlético players. Left-back Filipe Luis is one of the options being looked at as a replacement for Ashley Cole, while central defender Joao Miranda is being considered to help replace David Luiz and put pressure on Captain John Terry
Eleven Chelsea FC Players Make Bleacher Report’s Premier League Top 100...continued.. :: Agree or Disagree? Cahill comes in at Gary Cahill BR Rank: 5 Verdict: Perfect Gary Cahill is our No. 1 centre-back and No. 1 overall defender this season on the back of an excellent, largely error-free campaign. Aerially, he’s close to unbeatable, even handling the likes of Christian Benteke extremely well when asked to. On the ground he’s careful, doesn't dive in and gets his body in the way at the right times. No striker has clearly gotten the better of Cahill this season. Gary Cahill has somehow developed in to a world class centerback despite being brought in to Chelsea to be a third or fourth option in defense. In his debut season he could not take the centerback position from David Luiz but now his play has moved the Brazilian out of position and in to midfield. He is great in the air and has enough pace to keep up with any striker thrown at him. He has become the heir apparent for John Terry and again, is ...
In a move that would raise eyebrows, Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has been linked with a move for Manchester United utility player Phil Jones. The 22 year-old is currently preparing for the World Cup after Roy Hodgson named Jones in his 22-man squad and has emerged as a potential target for Premier League rivals Chelsea. Mourinho is looking at defensive options with David Luiz being touted as a target for Barcelona and John Terry coming towards the end of his career, despite signing a one-year extension. Jones would provide cover in a number of positions and like many others at Old Trafford, did not enjoy a good campaign under David Moyes. The club would be unlikely to welcome advances for one of their players, though it remains to be seen where Jones fits into incoming manager Louis Van Gaal’s plans. [Source: Independent]
John Terry gets a one year contract extension at Stamford Bridge while the Brazillian defender David Luiz hopes to move from stamford to bacerona after the World Cup.
Chelsea plan to dump FIFTEEN senior players over summerChelsea could dump no less than FIFTEEN of their senior squad this summer in a massive overhaul. The Daily Express says Blues owner Roman Abramovich will tell manager Mourinho to build an attacking side at Chelsea and is ready to back his manager in the transfer market. Attacking trio Fernando Torres, Demba Ba and Samuel Eto'o will be offloaded. Other big names at the Bridge could be sold to raise funds, with the outgoing list set to include David Luiz, Ramires, John Obi Mikel and Victor Moses. England international Ashley Cole is expected to move on a free transfer, although team-mates Frank Lampard and John Terry could stay on. Everton loanee Romelu Lukaku wants to return to Chelsea but could be sold to Tottenham to help Mourinho pay for new strikers. Other names among those set to be shipped out are Marko Marin, Oriol Romeu, Gael Kakuta, Josh McEachran, Hilario and Sam Hutchinson.
From the Chelsea stable: Reflecting on our 3-1 Champions League defeat to Atletico Madrid, David Luiz felt the goal we conceded on the stroke of half-time was the turning point. With the tie goalless following last week's first leg in Spain, an away goal for Diego Simeone's side was always going to make it a difficult evening for the Blues. Fernando Torres had given us the lead against his former club when he swept home a Cesar Azpilicueta cross after 35 minutes, but the visitors restored parity nine minutes later through Adrian Lopez. 'They scored when they needed to score,' said David Luiz. 'We controlled the game for the first 40 minutes and then we conceded a goal at the end of the first half. They were able to counter attack and they dictated the game.' The balance of the contest swung in Atletico's favour early in the second half when Diego Costa scored a penalty, sandwiched in between two headers, from David Luiz and John Terry, which had gone close. Their third goal, scored by Arda Turan following ...
They Wrote us off! They rubbed us! They helped them! Yet, dy wr all disappointed. would like to remind the Liverpool fans and the rest of the football world that this afternoon Chelsea had the following players out for one reason or another or dropped to the bench: Petr Cech, John Terry, David Luiz, Ramires, Eden Hazard, Oscar, Samuel Eto'o, Willian and Gary Cahill and we still went to Anfield and did a job, shut them out and picked up three points. I stated to you all this week that you should never underestimate Jose Mourinho and his influence. Whether that is with the press and media or with his tactical approach to games, do not write him or Chelsea off. This is a results business and you should know by now not to virtually celebrate becoming Champions before you actually meet Chelsea fc! Apart from Gary Neville, you were a disgrace and you should never have underestimated Chelsea in this fixture in the first place.
HOW DO YOU KNOW CHAMPIONS? Champions beat all the top teams! Man U were beaten, so as Tottenham. Arsenal were disgraced 6-0. Man City were beaten home and away. The so-called impressive Liverpool walked ALONE both at Stamford Bridge and Anfield. With a Chelsea Team without Eden Hazard, Petr Čech, Oscar, John Terry, David Luiz, Ramires, Samuel Eto'o; Gary Cahill, Willian and Fernando 9 Torres all sub, yet Liverpool were destroyed at their so-called Anfield. Since last weekend, Liverpool players have been resting and planning for this game, but Chelsea traveled to Spain and played Atletico Madrid on Tuesday, came back and traveled again to Liverpool with Team B and thrashed these title pretenders 2-0 at their home. What more can I say? Liverpool lack all the qualities of champions. You can only find these qualities in Chelsea F.C.!
Chelsea starting 11 include No Hazard, Ramirez, John Terry, Oscar, Cahill , David Luiz,Williain, Torres, Eto and Chelsea no 1 keeper, Peter Cech. Yet they are complaining. Rubbish people .
Petr Cech suffered a dislocated shoulder and was subbed off. John Terry tried his best to carry on after suffering a foot problem after a clash with Diego Costa caused him to collide with David Luiz, eventually limping from the field in distress. It will be a patched-Up Chelsea that show up at Anfield on Sunday; a reserve team might face expectant champions Liverpool. He He He ;)
Very good. By the return leg, we will have Ivanovic back from suspension and Hazard will be fully back from injury as well. We await scans from Petr Cech and John Terry to ascertain the magnitude of their injuries tonight. At the Bridge, throw Hazard at them with Williams and Eto'o, Torres can join the game later. They look vulnerable defensively though Chelsea didn't really pose a serious threat - because of the game plan. We can book our place in the final with a 2-1 win next week. It's realistic. Welldone boys! Happy Birthday to Mikel Obi and David Luiz.
IF Chelsea was My Home.   Roman Abramovic would be my father who loves his kids soo much thst he'd stop at nothing to make us happy.   Jose Mourinho would be my bigger brother (My Fathers's Favourite) who always has a way to protect us, and would be the Technical Idealist in the Family.   John Terry would be The brother with a lot of problems but he leads the family by example, and always proves to be the best in everything that he does.   David Luiz will be the brother who is favoured by every1 in the community and a lot of them wish he was their brother.   Eva Carneivaro would our sister who is very hot and plays the role of a doctor in the team, she's good at her job.   Demba Ba would be our brother who always try to prove himself, but our bigger brother does'nt see good in him but lately he always helps the family in crucial situations.   Samuel Eto'o would be our brother who is feared by every1 but does'nt deliver as every1 thinks but when he is happy we all rejoice with him.   Petr Cech Our ...
Things i learned about my blue team yesterday: 1) We can very much play, perform and win without. Hazard. its just that when he plays he the quality of the games increases 10 fold. 2) The three striker formation can be used. Note this was one of the reasons behind Mou's success at Chelsea during his first reign. 3) Ivanovic is like a tank that can run just as fast as he can defend. 4) Azpilicueta is pure class and we might have found a replacement for the aging Ashley Cole. 5) Gary Cahill and John Terry are like brick walls. nothing but respect for their performances. 6) David Luiz is definitely growing up and is taking up responsibilities. 7) Torress can very much play. *** of of way to shut up his haters like a said before. he performs when his team needs him the most. 8) The Schurre is one *** of a player. and he is and william along with oscar hazard and salah are going to rip defensive walls apart next season. 9) Petr Cech grows everygame. wiser every game. i wonder how much he worked to make that .. ...
David Luiz and John Terry has more goals vs Cech than Leo Messi.

Frank Lampard also starts with David Luiz making way. The defence is unchanged for the 10thgame. For Chelsea fans, this is a summary of what went wrong with PSG tonight. Michael Cox, editor of football website Zonal Marking, on the BBC: "The amazing thing was how vulnerable Chelsea were to crosses - considering they effectively had four centre backs (Branislav Ivanovic, Gary Cahill, John Terry and David Luiz) in the side. PSG are not really a crossing side, I don't think it was the particular approach PSG went for tonight but Chelsea just defended them very badly. "I think Lucas Moura will come into the PSG side for the second leg, he normally comes on as a sub but if he starts that will make PSG more counter-attacking and with Ezequiel Lavezzi's pace, they will be even more dangerous on the break. "Chelsea will need to force the issue and that could be dangerous. PSG could cause them problems. Javier Pastore hasn't really taken off for PSG - he likes to take on opponents and that third goal tonight is probably his greatest contribution since moving to PSG."
Blues boss Jose Mourinho has used the 26 year old Brazilian sparingly this term and his display against Crystal Palace has apparently convinced him to sell the former Benfica man. Chelsea are confident of winning the race to sign £45m rated Atletico Madrid star Costa and will look to bank £35m from the sale of Luiz to help cover the lion’s share of the cost. Mourinho ‘hauled’ off Luiz at half-time during the club’s surprise defeat to Crystal Palace and that may well prove his last Premier League run-out in Chelsea colours. Luiz is however expected to face PSG this week due to first choice midfielder Nemanja Matic being cup-tied. PSG and Barcelona are both thought to be keen on Luiz and both sides see the player as an option to be used at centre-back, where he is seemingly no longer required at Chelsea with Mourinho seeing Gary Cahill and John Terry as his first choice pairing. David Luiz was pivotal in Chelsea’s Champions League and Europa League triumph but doesn’t appear to be a key part o ...

OFF WE GO! LET’S STAR THE DAY WITH AN EASY DOUBLE!!! ENGLAND - Premier League CHELSEA VS EVERTON KICK OFF AT 12.45 FACTS CHELSEA John Terry missed the Fa Cup defeat to Manchester City at the weekend, but is expected to start against Everton. Marco van Ginkel and David Luiz are sidelined through injury. Oscar is also expected to come into the starting XI at the expense of John Obi Mikel. EVERTON Lacina Traoré may be handed a first Premier League start having netted after just 4 minutes against Swansea on Sunday. With Steven Naismith a doubt, the Ivorian should lead the attack. Darron Gibson, Arouna Koné, Bryan Oviedo and Antolin Alcaraz will all miss the trip to Chelsea through injury, while Romelu Lukaku, who joins them on the sidelines, would've been unable to play against his parent club. Other than that, Roberto Martínez has no further injury worries. STATISTICS Chelsea have scored at least 2 goals in 16 of their last 18 home matches in the Premier League. Media watch Liverpool have set their sights on Sheffield United defender Harry Maguire, according to reports. The Daily Mail claims Reds scout Neil Richardson was in attendance to watch the 20-year-old at Bramall Lane as the Blades secured a famous 3-1 victory over Nottingham Forest in the Fa Cup. Other Premier League clubs are reportedly interested in the young defender though, with Chelsea and Manchester United said to have watched the Sky Bet League One centre back in action. Indeed, reports at the start of the month claimed Chelsea had 'ramped-up' their interest in the player, who has been dubbed 'the new John Terry'. Metro went on to claim that Blues boss Jose Mourinho has been kept updated over his progress in Yorkshire, and that a £5million offer could be made to bring the player to Stamford Bridge. Maguire would be tasked with emulating Terry if he were to sign for Chelsea, although first team opportunities would be hard to come by with the likes of David Luiz and Gary Cahill also in the squad. L ...
TIME TO CHOOSE A NEW CHELSEA CAPTAIN??. Let’s get straight to the point – John Terry won’t go on forever. His absence in Chelsea’s last 3 matches has proved that. The Blues captain is 33&has been suffering an increasing number of injuries as the years have worn on,thanks mainly to his crucial body-on-the-line approach to defending. Terry has,at best, another year or 2 in his locker – &that’s assuming he’s offered a deal beyond the end of this season. But Jose Mourinho knows Terry’s limitations,he must do. And in terms of central defensive numbers, the Blues are fairly well catered for in Gary Cahill,David Luiz,Branislav Ivanovic&youngsters such as Kurt Zouma,Tomas Kalas,Kenneth Omeruo&Andreas Christensen. Bodies aren’t the problem, however. The area in which Chelsea will fall drastically short when Terry’s retirement finally comes is the role of ‘captain, leader, legend’. Yes,Terry’s had his shortcomings in his career, but there’s absolutely no doubting his leadership qualities on ...
David Luiz future not certain With Jose Mourinho prefering John Terry and Gary Cahill partnership and Kurt Zouma coming in the summer,a big money recieve could force Luiz out of Chelsea The Brazilian performance this season in the defence has not been good and PSG and Barcelona are battling for his signature
John Terry is the reason we win. David Luiz is Chelsea's worst defender.
Experience is needed in the team but ikanyanyisa kuwanda inogona kukuwadza team.Chelsea has got a lot of ageing players and most of them had become liabilities.New blood is needed at Chelsea and mix them with those ageing players. With these players: John Terry (45) Samuel Eto'o (43) Ashley Cole (38) Garry Cahil (37) Fernando Torres (38) Ramires (34) Obi Mikel (37) David Luiz (35) Frank Lampard (44) Demba Ba (39) Chelsea wont go anywhere with these grandfathers.Their position in the league is not a true reflection of how they are playing.Sometimes luck plays a very important role in soccer.I dont see Chelsea winning anything this season unless they get rid of those grandparents from their dressing room.
Manchester City 2 Chelsea 0: David Luiz proves no substitute for John Terry as Chelsea foundations crumble
MANCITY VS CHELSEA TACTICAL BRIEF The pattern in previous rounds of this competition has been that Jose Mourinho has rested a few of the players who have played the most. In the previous round's win against Stoke City he made five changes. In came Mark Schwarzer for Petr Cech , Ashley Cole for Cesar Azpilicueta , Frank Lampard and second-debutant Nemanja Matic for John Mikel Obi and John Terry (replaced at the back by David Luiz ), and Andre Schurrle for Ramires . This time around Terry, who has missed his first Premier League minutes of the season in the last week, is out. Gary Cahill limped away from the disappointing draw at the Hawthorns on Tuesday so his fitness is being assessed ahead of this game. Branislav Ivanovic is a possibility to play centre-back with Cole and Azpilicueta as full- backs. Manuel Pellegrini also has factors to contend with. The postponement of the home game against Sunderland meant a free week for his team, though the fixture will have to be crammed into their busy schedule at ...
Chelsea news: Is this the deal that will land Diego Costa? The Metro has suggested that the Blues will offer £20 million plus Fernando Torres to sign Atletico Madrid’s Diego Costa. Torres originally moved to England from the Spanish club and has always maintained his love and admiration for the La Liga high flyers. Costa has been linked with several high profile moves away from Spain, with Arsenal and Chelsea thought to be interested in England. The Mirror has suggested that Barcelona are ready to launch a £22 million bid for Chelsea defender David Luiz. The Brazilian was linked with a move to the Nou Camp last summer, revealing that an approach had been knocked back for his services. However, that doesn’t seem to have deterred the Spanish champions who will reportedly try and complete a big money deal after the World Cup. England boss Roy Hodgson will not try and talk John Terry out of international retirement. Speculation had been building that Terry could be offered a place in England’s World C ...
David Luiz will never be the defender John Terry is/was. They don't make em like that anymore. All show and no steel, nerve, concentration.
In shocking developments at Stamford Bridge, the club are planning a raid on their London rivals Tottenham Hotspur for Brazil midfielder Paulinho and defender Vlad Chiriches in a bid believed to be around £35 million. The duo were among the eight players that former manager Andre Villas-Boas brought to White Hart Lane in the summer. However, after the recent sacking of the Portuguese manager, things at the North London club look rather uncertain. Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho will be desperate to sort out the many problems he has been facing this campaign in all areas of the field. The ‘special one’ has identified box to box midfielder Paulinho to replace the likes of John Obi Mikel, Michael Essien and Frank Lampard who have been erratic this season. Defensively, the Blues have had their worst season yet, keeping only 4 clean sheets in the Premier League. As John Terry nears the end of his career, and David Luiz yet to impress the gaffer, Vlad Chiriches is touted to be the answer to their woes. Howev ...
Superfan Oran Tully gets a surprise from his Chelsea heroes in our Christmas edition of My Special Day featuring John Terry, David Luiz and Roman Abramovich!
layer Ratings: Manchester City vs Chelsea Chelsea Petr Cech – 7 – Had a shaky start to the game in the first 20 seconds but apart from that he did nothing wrong and made some good saves to secure the points for his team. Branislav Ivanovic – 7 – A solid performance from Ivanovic whose fantastic goal won the game for his team. He was effective going forward and defending. John Terry – 8 – Yet another great performance from the leader of what is currently the league’s best defence. Cleared almost everything that came his way. Gary Cahill – 8 – Cahill was excellent alongside Terry and was very unlucky not to score in the second half. The Englishman was as solid as ever this season. Cesar Azpilicueta – 7 – Put in a fantastic display against one of the league’s quickest wingers. The makeshift left-back was also very disciplined in his staying in a defensive position. David Luiz – 7 – A great display from Luiz in defensive midfield. Made sure that Silva got no space in the centre of ...

signing of 19-year-old 'Kurt Zouma' could spell the end of John Terry's Stamford Bridge career, according to the Guardian. The 33-year-old is yet to agree on a new contract with the Blues, who are supposedly not offering him as long a deal as he would like, and has been linked with a number of clubs ahead of next summer. This may also throw David Luiz's future into some doubt, with the Brazilian emerging as a long-standing target for Barcelona.
Possible Chelsea Starting Line-Up Against West Ham. Chelsea will take on West Ham on Wednesday Night at the Stamford Bridge, where the Blues will be looking to pick up full three points and keep the pressure on other title challengers. The Blues kept themselves busy in the winter transfer window, as they sold club hero Juan Mata to Manchester United and signed Mohamed Salah from Basel as replacement. However, the Egyptian is unlikely to make his debut against the Hammers.Chelsea are heading into this match on the back of a 1-0 win over Stoke City in the Fa Cup, and Mourinho is expected to make few changes from the team that played on Sunday. In the defence, John Terry and Cesar Azpilicueta are expected to return, while David Luiz may retain his place. Nemanja Matic was solid against Stoke City and the Serbian could start tomorrow alongside Ramires, while Frank Lampard could be rested. Andre Schurrle started in the last match in place of Willian, but the German is likely to make way for the Brazilian. Fern ...

Eden Hazard's first-half strike was enough for Chelsea as they claimed all three points in a 1-0 win over Swansea. Hazard: Brilliant Belgian The Blues made the better start of the two sides, with Samuel Eto'o, John Terry and Ramires all going close, although the visitors looked good on the break and Jordi Amat could have given them the lead from a header when he got the better of David Luiz from a corner. Jose Mourinho's men took the lead on 29 minutes though, with Eden Hazard breaking the deadlock after his effort was deflected off Ashley Williams past the despairing Gerhard Tremmel. Despite looking a bit sluggish, Chelsea dominated possession but couldn't find another one before the break and should have paid for it when Alvaro Vasquez found space in the box, but his finish was a poor one and Petr Cech tipped over. The home side again spent much of their time after the interval in the Swansea half but Tremmel was again equal to everything and the crowd were obviously getting anxious, while Jose Mourinho ...
MATCH REPORT: ARSENAL 0 CHELSEA 0 = Summary The Blues return from North London with a well-earned point following a 0-0 draw with Arsenal at the Emirates. In a game shorn of many clear-cut opportunities, Frank Lampard went closest to scoring the decisive goal midway through the first half when he raced on to an Eden Hazard chip and smashed his volley against the bar. The second half followed a similar pattern to the first, with the defensive players on both sides coming out on top, although Olivier Giroud went close twice late on for Arsenal. A first clean sheet in the league since the 3-0 win at West Ham is most welcome, while for Petr Cech it was his 150th Premier League shut out, and attention now turns to two successive home games, starting with the visit of Swansea City on Boxing Day. PRE-MATCH BRIEFING: SUNDERLAND V CHELSEA TACTICAL BRIEF Jose Mourinho is wary of the scheduling this week&has already said several times that Sunderland are a better side than the points they have suggest. Under former Stamford Bridge icon Gustavo Poyet,Sunderland have won their last 3games at home in league&cup. With another testing visit to Mark Hughes's Stoke to come on Saturday before the Steaua game a week today,he is certain to mix the starting 11s considerably. Ashley Cole is training&may play in 1 of the league games this week. David Luiz is still not training but could return soon to break up Sunday's goalscoring central defensive partnership of Gary Cahill&John Terry. Fellow Brazilian Oscar will also miss out tonight after injuring his ankle at the weekend. CF Samuel Eto'o has returned from the groin problem suffered vs Basel&could figure this evening. Although Demba Ba earned a rave review as substitute on Sunday. Fernando Torres looked menacing throughout the match vs Southampton despite not s ...
Mourinho willing to let Chelsea star leave for Bayern Munich in £41m January transfer The Portuguese boss is open to allowing Luiz to transfer to Germany. Chelsea defender David Luiz is the subject of interest from German giants Bayern Munich and Jose Mourinho is willing to let the Brazilian leave in January for £41m, reports A Bola. The 26-year-old was one of the Blues best players last season, but Mourinho has concerns over Luiz’s defensive capabilities and has generally preferred a partnership of Gary Cahill and Captain John Terry. This lack of game time is frustrating for the South American and the chance to switch to the Allianz Arena would be a prospect most players would find difficult to turn down. Bayern are currently a treble-winning club after securing the Bundesliga title, German Cup and Champions League in 2012/13. Since then maverick coach Pep Guardiola has also taken over as manager and the Spaniard is a great draw for top players. Luiz would also be able to link up with fellow Brazilia ...
Chelsea boss Mourinho decides time to sell Luiz. - Chelsea are inviting January offers for David Luiz. The Mail on Sunday says Luiz was axed for the midweek Champions League win over Schalke and was left on the bench again for the 2-2 draw with West Brom on Saturday, with John Terry and Gary Cahillthe preferred and first-choice pairing. The 26-year-old is hugely popular with the fans but some of the Chelsea players have started to agree with manager Jose Mourinho’s belief the player is too casual and showy. For all his talent, Mourinho feels the rugged edge he likes from his central defenders is missing and he doesn’t see Luiz as an option in the midfield. . ~CHRIS~
Summary: Win or lose, we’ll support the blues! Despite Chelsea’s first half dominance the blues suffered their second league defeat of the season. Goals from Frenchmen Remy and Gourffran capped off a miserable game for Mourinho’s men. Chelsea started the game with a fast tempo despite the terrible conditions. Chelsea nearly forced an opportunity with Fernando Torres chasing Williamson trying to force the centre-back into making a mistake, however a smart piece of defending allowed the defender to clear the ball up field. The 13th minute saw Chelsea hit the bar twice within the space of 10 seconds. Juan Mata who was re-introduced into the starting 11 alongside David Luiz, curled an in-swinging corner towards John Terry, the Chelsea Captain leaped the highest and saw his header crash off the bar. Seconds later after the woodwork denied Chelsea the same thing happened as Branislav Ivanovic’s deflected header hit the top of the bar. The score remained 0-0 Due to the weather both sides, are mis-placing ...
2-0 and Loic earned a 2-0 win over Chelsea as Jose poor St. James' Park record continued. The Chelsea manager entered the match with just two points from his previous three visits to Newcastle, and watched on as his side passed up a chance to move to the top of the table on Saturday. Chelsea controlled a first half devoid of clear-cut chances – their best effort saw John Terry hit the crossbar with a header – but were left reeling when Gouffran headed in an inviting Yohan Cabaye free-kick in the 68th minute. Substitutes Willian and Samuel Eto'o went close for Chelsea in the latter stages, but Remy hammered home Vurnon Anita's cut-back with two minutes left to seal Newcastle's win. The loss was Chelsea's second of the Premier League campaign, meaning Arsenal could go five points clear if they beat Liverpool this evening. Mourinho made two changes from the side that beat Manchester City in their last Premier League fixture, with Juan Mata and David Luiz replacing Andre Schurrle and Gary Cahill respectiv ...
Met and got & pics with Chelsea FC ...players of note David Luiz, Gary Cahill and John Terry
John Terry has been in superb form for Chelsea this season - but is he currently the best performing English centre-back in the Premier League? Terry boasts the joint second best defensive record in terms of Performance Score in the Premier League this season (319 points). At present he is keeping Gary Cahill out of the Chelsea team, a player who has become one of England's two starting defenders along with Phil Jagielka. The Chelsea skipper was in typically good form with his display against Cardiff at the weeken - a game that barring a David Luiz error, Chelsea would have kept a clean sheet in. Terry won three out of three headers and also made 11 out of 11 clearances, as we can see below. Not only was he good at clearing danger but he was also very effective on the ball, completing 98% of his passes (82 out of 84): It is in this aspect of his game that Terry probably doesn't get enough credit: he is a very good technical player, despite not really being regarded as a ball playing centre-back. Jose Mourinho on Gary Cahill: "But at this moment John Terry & David Luiz are playing well and giving stability." (Mail)"
Former Chelsea assistant manager Ray Wilkins believes Roy Hodgson should recall John Terry to the England squad. The Blues captain retired from international football in September 2012 ahead of being found guilty of racially abusing Anton Ferdinand, with the centre-back calling his position with the Three Lions "untenable". Gary Cahill is currently first choice under Hodgson, but Wilkins feels that with the defender struggling for starts at Chelsea, the England boss should look to Terry. "Gary Cahill hasn't been in the starting line-up for Chelsea and I think Jose [Mourinho] prefers David Luiz and John Terry, who Roy should have a little chat with because he was absolutely superb yesterday against Cardiff," Wilkins told BBC Radio 5 Live's 'Sportsweek'. "I don't think we are blessed with too many centre-halves and if we could persuade John to have another go, we should. "I have no idea [if he would be interested in an England return] because I haven't had the conversation with him. But it certainly would b ...

Mourinho will miss Fernando Torres for this tie through suspension and injury. The Spaniard was given marching orders against Spurs, after picking up two yellow cards. Also, he got injured in the last match while playing against Steaua Bucharest in the mid-week. So, expect, Samuel Eto’o to lead the forward line against the Canaries. In the defence, David Luiz has been impressive in his last two games and the Brazilian will continue to keep his place. He will be partnered by either Gary Cahill or John Terry. In the midfielde, Mourinho must make a choice to field John Obi Mikel alongside Ramires and to carry on with Ramires and Frank Lampard combo. The Portuguese might give Lampard a rest or could use him from the bench. Eden Hazard has returned to training after missing out the last game and should be in contention to play on the flanks along with Oscar and Mata. CL
MATCH REPORT: Tottenham Hotspur 1 CHELSEA 1 29-09-2013 Summary A spirited second-half display by the visitors earned a draw in the Saturday lunchtime London derby, John Terry levelling after an early Spurs strike. There was added satisfaction that the point was gained despite the disadvantage of 10 men for the closing stages after Fernando Torres , who was causing the home side plenty of problems, was sent off following a second yellow card. Tottenham took the lead after 18 minutes and looked capable of increasing their advantage but Chelsea rallied well and could have added to Terry's 64 th - minute set-piece goal in the second period but for good saves from Tottenham keeper Hugo Lloris. Team News There were three changes to the side that began the last league game. David Luiz returned to defence and with Ramires passed fit following a hip strain suffered at Swindon, he moved forward to a wide right position in place of Andre Schurrle . Frank Lampard returned to midfield alongside John Mikel Obi and Fern ...
Second half A second Chelsea change came at the break with Ramires brought off after his decisive cameo, and John Terry on in his place. David Luiz stepped up to midfield where he performed so impressively towards the end of last season. From his more advanced position, albeit at a dead ball, David Luiz was able to demonstrate his passing ability when his early pass picked out De Bruyne in opposition territory, but the Belgian, clean in on goal, was unable to control. Swindon thought they had pulled a goal back six minutes after the restart when Dany N'Guessan headed home Jay McEveley's inswinging free-kick, but an offside flag was able to spare Chelsea blushes and ensure the two-goal lead remained. Essien was booked for a tug shortly afterwards, and from this set-piece Pritchard again worked Schwarzer, but again it was fairly straightforward for the Australian, who then saved from N'Guessan, the forward again offside however, at close range. Back on the front foot, Chelsea almost killed the game off with ...

Check it out-so amazing Here is what each player at Chelsea is earning: Eden Hazard - £185,000 Fernando Torres - £175,000 John Terry - £175,000 Frank Lampard - £140,000 Ashley Cole - £120,000 Petr Cech - £100,000 Gary Cahill - £80,000 David Luiz - £75,000 John Obi Mikel - £75,000 Juan Mata - £67,000 Ramires - £55,000 Oscar - £40,000 Ryan Bertrand - £40,000 Marko Marin - £35,000 Cesar Azpilicueta - £30,000 Victor Moses - £30,000 Branislav Ivanovic - £28,500 Oriol Romeu - £15,000 This is an accurate payroll from an undisclosed source . What does everyone think about these figures then? Who is overpaid, who is underpaid, who is justifying their money and how much more ridiculous will wages get??? Whoa, the rumours were true, Hazard is on crazy money. I just wrote a blog on how I was happy with Hazard’s form, but I think a player at his age who is new to the club should never earn that amount of money. It’s easy to pull your hair out when you look at Torres’ wages too. A reason t ...

Jose Mourinho will set foot back in Stamford Bridge tomorrow with a list of high-profile transfer targets and a blueprint for taking Chelsea back to the top of the English game. The 50-year-old will be formally unveiled as the new Chelsea manager, just under six years after his first spell came to a close with a terse club statement announcing he had left by mutual consent. Mourinho will reportedly be handed a summer transfer kitty of over £100million - and among the names already linked are Napoli striker Edinson Cavani, Montenegrin international Stevan Jovetic, and Xabi Alonso. But it is the club’s existing squad of players which may provide Mourinho with his biggest headache as he considers what to do with the likes of David Luiz, Fernando Torres and perhaps even John Terry. Terry was the driving force in lifting the club to their first league title in over half a century during Mourinho’s initial spell in charge, but at the age of 32 he may struggle to replicate such a role. The club captain has ...
The second coming of Jose Mourinho will begin in earnest today. By his own standards, Mourinho’s reign as Real Madrid manager was a failure. Barcelona maestro Andres Iniesta could not help passing judgment on Sunday, insisting Mourinho damaged Spanish football. With a £120million transfer budget from Blues owner, Roman Abramovich, Mourinho is already plotting to win trophies. The squad he inherits is argubaly more talented than that of 2004 but there will be changes. Mourinho has texted some players with the simple message: ‘See you soon. Look forward to working with you.’ Yet there indications, that message may not be so welcoming to others. Fernando Torres, Demba Ba, Victor Moses, John Mikel Obi and David Luiz may well be shifting uncomfortably while John Terry is likely to see out his contract until next summer. QUESTION What kind of Mourinho do you think is coming back to Chelsea? Will it be the spiky character who divided opinion in Spain or will it be a softer, matured Mourinho ? (engr. OMO-O ...

Europa League: Benfica 1 Chelsea 2 Full Match Report: 15 May 2013 22:45 Chelsea won the UEFA Europa League thanks to Branislav Ivanovic's last- gasp header as they beat Benfica 2-1 in Amsterdam on Wednesday. Fernando Torres had given the Premier League side the lead and the Serbian defender sealed a memorable win in stoppage time after Oscar Cardozo's penalty had levelled the scores. The Portuguese side named their strongest possible XI with Cardozo flanked by Eduardo Salvio, Nico Gaitan and Rodrigo in attack. But Rafael Benitez had to make do without the services of injured duo John Terry and Eden Hazard, with David Luiz stepping into midfield to allow Ramires to play on the right wing. Benfica settled the quicker of the two teams and were soon on the front foot, Cardozo heading over from a Andre Almeida cross inside two minutes. Jorge Jesus' men dictated the play in the early going but proved wasteful in front of goal, Gaitan firing high at the end of another intricate move, which saw Salvio turn down a ...
John Terry is not fit to play so Gary Cahill will partner Branislav Ivanovic in central defence. David Luiz plays alongside Frank Lampard in the centre of midfield with Ramires, who like David Luiz is playing against his former club, in a wide right position. For Benfica, Andre Almeida moves from left-back to replace suspended Ma
Scummiest players in the Prem? For the sake of discussion, let's omit Suarez from the equation because we know he's top of everyones most hated. Who else has been a scummy *** this season? David Luiz is rapidly ascending the list in my opinion. Throwing his elbows about everywhere and leaving his foot in after tackles. It would also appear Charlie Adam is making it his goal in life to hurt as many fellow footballers as he can. No one is THAT bad at tackling. Honourable mention to the general, all-round, on-the-pitch, off-the-pitch *** that is John Terry. Your input? - Sean

Premier League ROUND UP Blues beat Baggies, United cruise Chelsea eased the pressure on interim manager Rafael Benitez with a victory at home to West Brom, while Manchester United secured a comfortable win over Norwich thanks to a Shinji Kagawa hat-trick. Rafael Benitez risked angering Chelsea fans midweek by telling them they are "wasting time" jeering him instead of backing the team, but he gave them little reason to moan with a 1-0 triumph over West Brom at Stamford Bridge. A solitary strike from Demba Ba lifted the Blues back above Tottenham in third, boosting their hopes of securing Champions League football. Benitez had been forced to dispute claims of a fall-out with John Terry during the week, but the Chelsea skipper again found himself on the bench alongside Fernando Torres, who made way for Ba. It was the former Newcastle forward who scored the winner from six yards, converting easily after David Luiz nodded Oscar's centre back across goal. It was comfortable thereafter for Chelsea, although mor ...
Questions need to be asked of the Manager once more after this. To start with, John Terry was dropped to the bench in favour of a starting combination of Gary Cahill (who was our man of the match) and David Luiz. If Terry was fit enough to be named on the bench he should be starting and it's as simple as that as far as I am concerned. When we found ourselves up against it, we needed JT in there barking his orders and giving people a shove to get going! Instead, we never had that. Once again Rafa's substitutions need to be addressed. City scored on around 60 mins. At that moment he needed to change it and to me it was obvious that Demba Ba wasn't get much of a look in and Ramires had one of his bad days. The solution SHOULD HAVE been Torres for BA and Moses for Ramires. Instead, he takes off Frank Lampard for Oscar and Eden Hazard for Moses!!! Surely Hazard needed to remain on the pitch because he has the ability to change the game in an instant. Alongside Mata and Moses that would have been the better com ...

Chelsea are set to make great changes in their squad against Brentford on Sunday after their squad number grew with the return of various casualties. John Obi Mikel, Victor Moses, David Luiz, Demba Ba and John Terry are all set to start the game after having missed out due to various reasons while Torres and Frank Lampard are most likely to be rested among others.
John Terry has to make do with a place on the substitutes' bench despite being deemed fit after missing the 4-1 victory over Wigan with a knee injury. Rafael Benitez makes three changes to the team which beat the Latics, with Ryan Bertrand, Marko Marin and Juan Mata replacing Ashley Cole, David Luiz (suspended) and Oscar.
Chelsea Captain John Terry is fit to face Sparta Prague in the last 32, despite missing the 4-1 win over Wigan at the weekend. The European Champions play their first ever Europa League game - the last time they featured in this competition in 2002/03 it was labelled the UEFa Cup - after they became the first ever defending champions to be dumped out of the Champions League at the group stages. The Blues will be without David Luiz and Demba Ba, who are suspended and cup-tied respectively, while Victor Moses and John Obi Mikel have been left out due to their participation in the African Cup of Nations. However, there is good news as both Gary Cahill and Petr Cech are fit to feature, the latter making 38 appearances for Sparta Prague in 2001/02. The Czech club have not played since early December due to the winter break, and while they will be rested and fresh for the tie, they may be lacking in match-fitness for such a crucial game. David Luiz hilarious interview, makes fun of John Terry, Puyol, and Chelsea
NUMBERS GROW FOR WIGAN - Demba Ba, David Luiz and Petr Cech will all be available to face Wigan on Saturday afternoon, but Captain John Terry misses out with injury.
John Terry will miss tomorrow's game die to his knee again. Petr Cech, David Luiz, Eden Hazard all return to the line up also Demba Ba will be available with wearing a protective face mask. Chelsea must win tomorrow no matter what. Rumours are is that if we fail to win tomorrow it is Rafa's last game in charge.
John Terry is out of Chelsea's Premier League match against Wigan on Saturday after suffering inflammation of his knee. Goalkeeper Petr Cech (finger) and Demba Ba (broken nose) are expected to be fit, with the striker in line to play with a protective face mask, while Eden Hazard is available again after serving his three-match ban for his dismissal for kicking a ball boy against Swansea. David Luiz played for Brazil in mid-week and is available following a calf injury, meaning only John Obi Mikel and Victor Moses due to Nigeria's involvement in the Africa Cup of Nations final, plus long-term absentee Oriol Romeu (knee), miss out. Provisional squad: Cech, Turnbull, Azpilicueta, Ferreira, Luiz, Ivanovic, Cahill, Cole, Bertrand, Lampard, Ramires, Mata, Oscar, Hazard, Marin, Benayoun, Torres, Ba, Ake, Hilario.

central defender yang menurut.mu sangat tangguh,? - Rio Ferdinand and Vidic - Puyol and Pique - Ramos and Pepe - John Terry and David Luiz - (Isi Sendiri)
After what seemed like a lifetime, Rafael Benitez finally became the first Chelsea manager to try David Luiz in a defensive midfield position. He first started him in the middle against Monterrey in the Club World Cup. Since then, we have seen the Brazilian in that role a number of times, with mixed results. Now, more than ever, Chelsea need David Luiz to step up and make the defensive midfield position his own. In the midweek draw against Southampton, the Blues showed some worrying defending, allowing the Saints to come back from a two-goal deficit. David Luiz was playing in defense on Wednesday, and he was arguably Chelsea's best player. But he was the most effective when he was going forward, starting play from the back of the field. This is why he is ideal for his role further up the field. With Jon Obi Mikel out for the Africa Cup of Nations, and John Terry back from injury, the Blues' biggest vacancy has shifted to midfield. Although few sing the praises of Mikel, if the Southampton result taught us ...

Team News Chelsea will once again be without Captain John Terry who continues to recover from a knee injury, while Gary Cahill is suspended for the game after seeing red against Corinthians on Sunday. Branislav Ivanovic is therefore expected to play alongside David Luiz in the middle of defence. Central midfield is also an area of concern for Benitez with John Obi Mikel and Ramires suspended, and Oriol Romeu ruled out for the season with a knee injury. Frank Lampard is therefore likely to play alongside Oscar, with Victor Moses, Juan Mata and Eden Hazard supporting Fernando Torres in attack. Daniel Sturridge is a major doubt with a hamstring injury but the Chelsea line-up may be determined by those who are feeling fresh following their long-haul trip to Japan. Leeds are likely to without goalkeeper Jamie Ashdown so Paddy Kenny is expected to deputise between the sticks. Captain Lee Peltier is likely to miss out with a shoulder problem and on-loan West Brom winger Jerome Thomas is also a doubt. Alan Tate i ...

David Luiz: I have what it takes to lead Chelsea in John Terry's absence
Didier Drogba has presented his former team-mates from Chelsea’s Champions League winning side with commemorative rings. The Ivorian icon presented John Terry, David Luiz, Ryan Bertrand, Branislav Ivanovic, Paulo Ferreira, Daniel Sturridge and Ashley Cole with rings similar to those worn by Super Bowl winners, at an event at a London hotel last night. Every member of the victorious Blues squad had been invited, but not all managed to attend for various reasons. The mood at the hotel must have been bitter sweet, considering the fact that Chelsea had just become the first Champions League holders in history to be eliminated from the competition after the group stage. And the Blues have seemed a far less potent force without imposing African legend Drogba to name in their ranks. It is no surprise that the club had hoped to bring the Shanghai Shenhua striker back to Stamford Bridge on loan just for a few months, only for Fifa to pull the plug on their plans. The rings are said to have set Drogba back to the ...
David Luiz is available after his domestic suspension, but Daniel Sturridge, John Terry and Frank Lampard, skipper in the reverse fixture, remain on the sidelines.
Chelsea will be without Frank Lampard (calf) and John Terry (knee), with both expected to be available to face Sunderland at the weekend. Daniel Sturridge (hamstring) is also a doubt but could make the substitutes’ bench. Rafa Benitez has so far appeared to be keen to shake up the trio behind the misfiring Fernando Torres, with Victor Moses and Marko Marin both involved in recent weeks. However, with the Blues in dire need of a victory, the Spaniard could resort to the supporting three that started the season so well. For Nordsjaelland, Jores Okore – who has played every Champions League game for the visitors this season – will sit out after picking up a thigh injury against Esbjerg in November. Ramires, David Luiz, Patrick Mtiliga and Ivan Runje are all one yellow card away from incurring a suspension.
Up Chelsea, Chelsea go into the game with Branislav Ivanovic playing at centre-back, as John Terry still recovers from his injury alongside Frank Lampard and Daniel Sturridge who also miss out. Oriol Romeu drops to the bench with Ryan Bertrand and Oscar, whilst David Luiz misses out completely. They make way for Gary Cahill, Jon Obi Mikel, Juan Mata and Victor Moses. The champions of Europe go to Upton Park still looking for their first win under Rafa Benitez, though despite failing to score since the Spaniard took over from Roberto Di Matteo, Chelsea are also yet to concede.
Chelsea's interim boss Rafa Benitez has named the strongest possible squad for next month's Club World Championship in Japan, as the Blues look to become just the second English club to win the global title. The Blues are set to face the winner of the play- off between Asian champions Ulsan Hyundai and North American champions Monterrey, with the match kicking off on Thursday December 13. HAZARDOUS START On the other side of the draw, Brazilian side Corinthians will face the winners of Al Ahly and either Sanfrecce Hiroshima or Auckland City, who play each other in a preliminary qualifying round. Goalkeepers: Petr Cech, Ross Turnbull, Hilario Defenders: Branislav Ivanovic, Ashley Cole, David Luiz, Paulo Ferreira, Gary Cahill, John Terry, Cesar Azpilicueta, Ryan Bertrand Midfielders: Oriol Romeu, Ramires, Frank Lampard, Oscar, John Obi Mikel, Eden Hazard, Marko Marin, Lucas Piazon Forwards: Fernando Torres, Juan Mata, Victor Moses, Daniel Sturridge

Chelsea boss Roberto Di Matteo appears to have one eye on his side's Champions League game against Juventus in midweek. He makes five changes with centre-backs Gary Cahill and David Luiz, midfielder Oriol Romeu, winger Victor Moses as well as striker Daniel Sturridge starting. They replace Branislav Ivanovic, John Terry, Ramires, Juan Mata and Oscar.
Chelsea are without Captain John Terry, who will be sidelined for up to three weeks with a knee injury according to manager Roberto Di Matteo. Ashley Cole and Frank Lampard remain doubts, while David Luiz and Oscar will be assessed having played for Brazil. On-loan West Brom forward Romelu Lukaku is ineligible to face his parent club. The Baggies are also missing regular goalkeeper Ben Foster (groin) and have doubts over Gareth McAuley and Youssouf Mulumbu (both hamstring).

What We Learned From The Shakhtar Match : 7.11.2012 94' minute, corner to Chelsea, Juan Mata to take... "Mata's ball in towards MOSES and Chelsea have won it at the death, incredible scenes here at Stamford Bridge!". That was the final play of the night as Chelsea won 3-2 against Shakhtar. An incredible has shown us an array of things. Scorers : Fernando Torres (6') Willian (9', 47') Oscar (40') Moses (94') What We Learned : 1. David Luiz continues to be woeful. 2. Juan Mata continues sensational form. 3. That's what Champions are made of. 4. Mikel-Ramires is the best combination. 5. Torres still not at his best. 1. David Luiz continues to be woeful : Just as I say almost every match, Gary Cahill has to take over as the other centre-beck next to John Terry. Cahill is, to me, more composed and a more skilled player than Luiz. While Luiz charms us with his occasional goal and his character, we must look at Cahill as our main CB after Terry. David Luiz had another poor night and was careless in possession as ...
"John Terry, he's still the best of Chelsea's centre backs." Sure, David Luiz and Gary Cahill played in the Champions League final which Chelsea won, but why let facts get in the way of your analysis?
CHELSEA players are divided over whether referee Mark Clattenburg actually aimed a racist remark at John Obi Mikel. SunSport can reveal some Blues stars are sceptical about the shock allegations and pressure is mounting on the club to physically prove the remarks were made. Significantly, the club have not yet officially complained to the police about the alleged incident — even though the Society of Black Lawyers has. Mikel’s team-mates Ramires and David Luiz told the midfielder they heard ref Clattenburg make an ‘inappropriate comment’ during Blues’ 3-2 defeat against Manchester United nine days ago. They were so furious they asked for Chelsea chief executive Ron Gourlay to go to the dressing room after the game and listen to their version of events. An insider said: “They were saying the club had to look after them and take action. They said the club had stood by John Terry in his race row with Anton Ferdinand and now it had to do the same for them. “But the other players weren’t so voc ...

"David Luiz and John Terry, Luiz loving life! his face is hilarious
And well I think it's safe to say that Chelsea need their big guns back. Aka, John Terry, Frank Lampard, Juan Mata & David Luiz, better then
Fair Play Enough ! Points Shared and Can't afford to Lose or Draw another Match, will say that Torres Needs To Score Or Otherwise make him play with reserves,We have had Too Much Faith On Him But time to time He is Not Playing as a striker needs to play. Next Up: Chelsea Vs Shakhtar Donetsk Need To Play M.Marin and Hope Juan Mata and David Luiz be Back For The Fixture Against Liverpool also Forgot to say the Legend F. Lampard and John Terry will also Be Back. Good Luck Chelsea For The Future.
Roberto Di Matteo has admitted Chelsea have been missing John Terry after their defensive problems deepened ahead of the Barclays Premier League game at Swansea. The European Champions were all over the place at the back in Wednesday Night's dramatic Capital One Cup win over Manchester United and were hardly any better in Sunday's first league defeat of the season against the same opponents. They have now conceded 11 goals in just four games since Terry began his domestic racism ban, although the Chelsea captain did play in one of them when he started their Champions League defeat at Shakhtar Donetsk. Terry serves the final instalment of his ban on Saturday, while manager Di Matteo revealed fellow defender David Luiz would almost certainly miss the Swansea game though injury. That would mean Branislav Ivanovic being pressed into centre-back service in a new-look defence that would almost certainly see right-back Cesar Azpilicueta handed his full league debut, with Ashley Cole returning from injury on the ...
Should David Luiz not make today's game then with John Terry suspended, Branislav Ivanovic will move across to a position he has played many times, including at international level, emphasising squad strength. And Ceasar will play as right-back..
Just got this news for Chelsea fans that David Luiz will not be available for Swansea City game, after the defender has already gotten 5 yellow cards, which means he will serve one match ban. Ashley Cole and Frank Lampard are both in doubt for the clash owing to injuries, while John Terry will continue his four match ban, having missed Tottenham Hotspurs and Man United(epl), and Man United(league cup) already. So, Branislav Ivanovic will fall back to partner Gary Cahill at the defence, while Cesar Azpilicueta plays the right back role, and Ryan Betrand in for Ashley Cole.IRE O.
Just need to cast your mind back to two fixtures since 2009 where twice Martin Atkinson has basically handed the game to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge with dodgy calls, offside rulings against legitimate goals, penalty awards of dubious standing and funnily enough, one goal where there were three reasons it wasn't a goal - it wasn't a foul on Cole that a free-kick was awarded for, Drogba was in an offside position when the assist came his way via John Terry's head and finally, of course he fouled Wes Brown whilst converting the goal. Let us not forget that last year, David Luiz had endeavoured to get himself sent off three times but alas to no avail - he remained on the pitch.
Two goals down inside 12 minutes, the leaders fought their way off the ropes to level through Juan Mata (44) and Ramires (53) and were looking likelier winners until Branislav Ivanovic was sent off on the hour. But a second red card for Fernando Torres meant the end of any genuine attacking ambition, and substitute Javier Hernandez bundled a contentious winner (75) to haul United within a point of the leaders and give them a first league success at Stamford Bridge since 2002. Despite the result there was plenty in Chelsea's performance to reinforce their credentials as real title challengers, though they were handicapped by a haphazard start as United's £24m man Robin van Persie made one goal and scored another. United's defence was under scrutiny before the game following another porous display against Braga in midweek, but it was a home back four missing John Terry which was exposed during the opening exchanges as Ashley Cole was repeatedly isolated and David Luiz too often in a different district to G ...
What's on my mind? Chelsea! Why won't this guys or group accept their failure and move on. Why would they always want to get into the news or make headlines...for the wrong reasons for that matter. Who can remember the Tottenham match last season in the Fa Cup. Do u guys remember how they won it? Now, Mikel claims to be abused racially but did not hear the exact words said by the refree. Mikel speaks and understand English excellently. How then did Ramirez and David Luiz hear the exact words said, when they hardly speak or understand English? Isn't that madness? Anyways, if John Terry was given just 4 match ban for racially abusing a fellow English man, then Clattenburg should only get 1 match suspension if he really did abuse Mikel racially.

Gary Cahill admitted he is unhappy with Roberto Di Matteo’s rotation policy at Chelsea. The Chelsea boss has rotated between Cahill, David Luiz and John Terry in the centre back positions with one of the players sitting out.
Chelsea field the same team that won 4-2 at Spurs. With John Terry still suspended, David Luiz partners Gary Cahill in defence. -SW
Chelsea Football Club shared the following link and had this to say about it: More on today's Team News... John Terry suspended, Gary Cahill comes in to partner David Luiz in central defence.
Ok, I'm going to stop this now before David Luiz starts crying uncontrollably: John Terry and Jan Vertonghen wipe the floor with everyone.
Epl Update! Chelsea vs Norwich John Terry returns in place of Cahill and Hazard is in for Ramires. John Obi Mikel back for his 250th Chelsea game. Kick off in ab 30 min. Chelsea line-up- Cech, Ivanovic, David Luiz, Terry, Cole, Mikel, lampard, Mata, Oscar, Hazard and Torres. Up Blues!
If, as seems likely, Chelsea have to do without John Terry for at least four domestic games in the near future, then Gary Cahill and David Luiz will need to form a far more solid partnership than was evident in the 4-0 Champions League victory away to Nordsjaelland in Copenhagen on Tuesday.

*I think so, I like and trust his partnership with John Terry at the back. I trust Garry Cahill more than David Luiz.
I think Chelsea in the presence of John Terry and David Luiz and Juan Mata and Lampard and Hazard and a strong El Nino Torres our team.
Only John Terry, Barnislav Ivanovic and David Luiz has won 100% of their tackles so far in the EPL.

Why on earth would anyone pay £30m for David Luiz. He cant defend. Still better than John Terry but still ...
I think Chelsea need some new defenders! Get John Terry off and get David Luiz on. Thats my professional advice lol.
would much rather see John Terry and Gary Cahill than John Terry and David Luiz on sunday
If either of Gary Cahill or David Luiz can cement a place alongside John Terry, there should be few problems at the back.
it got to be David Luiz and John Terry.. They are perfect match.
Tevez has been a scourge of them since his Manchester United days. An irrepressible bundle of energy, he can be too short, sharp and skilful for John Terry's liking. Five months after his mutiny in Munich, he came in from the cold for City by supplying a Samir Nasri winner against Chelsea. Five months after one comeback when trailing, this was another. Tevez scored City's second goal, scurrying past David Luiz and Terry before whipping a shot past Petr Cech. The goal scored, a t-shirt was revealed. "Fuerte Apache," the message, celebrating Tevez's upbringing in that suburb of Buenos Aires. Infamously, he spent much of City's title-winning campaign in Argentina. Now he may be a changed figure. "It is the first time in four or five years he did a pre-season," Mancini said. "His form is better than last season." Yaya Toure's was outstanding then and remains impressive as he showed in grabbing the equaliser. If a criticism levelled at Manchester United is that they do not have an equivalent of the Ivorian, ne ...
David Luiz on John Terry off.. C'mon Chelsea we need a win
Chelsea skipper John Terry is looking forward to putting his race trial acquittal behind him. Terry, Cahill, Ivanovic, David Luiz - which centre-back pairing will Di Matteo choose for their Community Shield clash with Manchester City on August 12? what is ur take on (Rdm) selection?

David Luiz led the crowd through a more traditional 'Blue is the Colour', Gary Cahill announced he was going to bounce in a minute and 'Happy Birthday' was sung to penalty shoot-out hero Petr Cech who turned 30 today. Frank Lampard took the mic to say that Saturday had been the best night of the players' careers and that Chelsea was the best club in the world, before John Terry told the fans how much they deserved to win the Champions League. And then it was off to the end of the parade and a full stop on a truly historic season, with the players now away from the club until July with mix of well-earned holiday and international matches between now and then.
WHY WE DESERVE THE UEFA CHAMPION LEAGUE CUP 1. comeback against Napoli FC at home 2. we beat the worlds greatest club, FC Barcelona with 10 man standing on aggregate. 3. we play on final without John Terry(C) , Branislav Ivanovic , inspiration midfielder Ramires. 4. David Luiz & Gary Cahill return for the final bring spirit to the club 5. DROGBA WAS A LEGEND
Drogba did a remarkable job for Chelsea last night when he equalizes goal at 88 minutes and his wonderful penalty shot which gives Chelsea overwherlming victory, although most people are saying Chelsea survived the tournament, it is not worth while, Chelsea seems to have develope the skill of finishing when it comes to final matches. Didier Drogba will not go away from Chelsea even if he had similar idea initially. Players like Drogba, Mikel, Bosingwa, A. Cole, Ivanovic, David Luiz, Lampard,John Terry among others make Chelsea what it is. Long live to Chelsea, long live to Drogba
Frank Lampard paid tribute to Didier Drogba after savouring Chelsea's Champions League-winning night in Munich. The 33-year-old, who moved to Stamford Bridge from West Ham in 2001, hit one of the Blues' four successful penalties after the final finished 1-1 after normal and extra time. Arjen Robben missed a penalty in the first extra period on his and Munich's home ground before Lampard, David Luiz and Ashley Cole slotted from the spot ahead of Drogba's winning kick. Lampard, who captained the west London club for the night in the absence of the suspended John Terry, said: "I can't believe it. The determination we've shown... we didn't play fantastic but the main man Didier dug us out of trouble there. "He's a hero. Without him we're not here. He scores the goals in the big games. It means everything. "We've been so many years trying to do this. This is the one we really wanted and we've got it." Asked whether the win should lead to interim manager Roberto Di Matteo being given the job permanently, Lampar ...

!!|Champions League FINAL |!!| :[ Bayern Munich v Chelsea ] : Venue: Allianz Arena, Munich - Kick-off: (19:45 BST) - Roberto Di Matteo is "very hopeful" Gary Cahill and David Luiz will be fit to start Saturday's Champions League final. - The defenders returned to training ahead of the match against Bayern Munich in the Allianz Arena. - Cahill and Luiz have both been missing with hamstring injuries while Florent Malouda will train on Friday night after a hamstring problem of his own. - John Terry, Branislav Ivanovic, Ramires and Raul Meireles are all suspended. - Bayern's Luiz Gustavo, David Alaba and Holger Badstuber will also miss the final, which is being played at their home ground, the Allianz Arena, through suspension.
19:45 – Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp is spotted in the stands draped head-to-toe in Bayern Munich apparel, including replica shirt, branded hat and scarf, muttering: "Triffic, always liked 'im", as each home player's name is read out over the public address. 19:50 – By the time that the game kicks off, ITV commentator Clive Tyldesley has already mentioned Manchester United's famous 1999 final victory over Bayern 28 times. 20.00 – John Terry begins the match sitting quietly to one side while Roberto Di Matteo occupies his usual role on the touchline overseeing the team. As the first half progresses, however, the two slowly swap positions until the Blues captain is barking orders gleefully and the Italian is unobtrusive and obsolete on the bench. 20:08 – A cursor is visible above the head of David Luiz as the Brazilian's positional error allows Mario Gomez through to make it 1-0 to Bayern. Cahill, Luiz fit for Champions League final Ahead of Saturday’s Champions League final in Munich Germany, Chelsea has declared Gary Cahil and David Luiz fit for the encounter. England defender Cahill and £21million Brazilian Luiz have both recovered from hamstring injuries and came through a full training session yesterday. Cahill said: “I’ve always had the goal to be fit for Munich and thankfully my injury has healed quickly. “We’ve spent every day and every afternoon treating the injury to get it right and the work has paid off. Cahill and Luiz are crucial to the Blues because skipper John Terry and Branislav Ivanovic are both suspended
Both Gary Cahill and David Luiz will miss Chelsea's home tie against QPR, leaving manager Roberto Di Matteo with something of a defensive crisis on his hands as Branislav Ivanovic is also unavailable through suspension. That leaves John Terry as the Blues' only available centre-back, with Jose Bosingwa likely to fill in at the back alongside the Chelsea skipper
