Jose Mourinho TO AXE # EIGHT # CHELSEA It looks as though it will be all change at # Stamford_Bridge this summer as eight of Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea squad are set for the exit doors as the club look to revamp. The West London club has already sold # David Luiz for €50m whilst # Frank Lampard, # Samuel Eto’o and # Ashley Cole’s contracts will expire at the end of June and there are rumours circulating that five more players will be sold in order to generate funds. # Fernando Torres, # Romelu Lukaku, # Petr Cech, # John Obi Mikel and # Ryan Bertrand are all set for the axe and could generate over £70m in transfer funds which could be used to freshen up a squad that needs to change. Although he’s always given his all for the club many fans would be relieved to see Torres, who has been a monumental flop, leave the club and, similarly, the likes of # Mikel has never really been truly appreciated by the majority of the faithful. It’s also a # shame that # Mourinho may not # deem_Bertrand even good ...
I tuned into my copy of the 2012 Champions League Final. You know, the one in which we beat Bayern Munich, in their own backyard, to win the trophy for the first time in our history. But one thing struck me, namely just how much the squad has changed. Take a look for yourselves:- Starting XI v Bayern • Petr CechJose Bosingwa (gone) • Gary Cahill • David Luiz (gone) • Ashley Cole (going) • John Obi MikelFrank Lampard (going) • Juan Mata (gone) • Ryan BertrandSalomon Kalou (gone) • Didier Drogba (gone) Subs v Bayern • Ross Turnbull (gone) • Paulo Ferreira (retired) • Michael Essien (gone) • Oriol RomeuFlorent Malouda (gone) • Daniel Sturridge (gone) • Fernando Torres Gone - 9 Retired - 1 Going - 2 Futures in doubt - Bertrand, Romeu, Mikel, Now that is some turnover considering the game was a little over 2 years ago! source : www.chelsea.vitalfootball.co.uk
-_- Chelsea may be inspired to go on a little bit of a spending spree this summer after receiving a proposal to receive more than £40 million for defender David Luiz. With Luiz not even a regular starter for the Blues, the deal is a no brainer for the club who are looking to abide by financial fair play rules. While Luiz often started in the biggest games, Chelsea have Nemanja Matic, Ramires, Frank Lampard and John Obi Mikel to play in the midfield role, along with numerous youngsters such as Nathan Ake and Nathaniel Chalobah also pushing for a role. Chelsea have situations like this all over the pitch, in every position. While the club are rumoured to be pursuing a world class striker, it limits the opportunities of players like Romelu Lukaku, Lucas Piazon, Patrick Bamford and Islam Feruz who have demonstrated that they either deserve an opportunity, or at least a sniff of the first team. Anywhere the Blues sign players, a promising youngster will be handicapped. While the Blues already have an extremel ...
David Luiz, Frank Lampard and Fernando Torres help Chelsea lead the way when it comes to World Cup squad selections By Joe Strange are set to send more players to the World Cup than any other club, with up to 18 stars from Jose Mourinho's side ready to descend on Brazil. The West London club have had two more players selected for provisional and final 23-man squads than rivals Manchester United, who have 16 stars potentially on their way to South America. Four of Chelsea's squad have been selected to represent the host nation by manager Luiz Felipe Scolari, with Oscar, Willian, Ramires and David Luiz all in line to play on home soil. The Blues also have England duo Frank Lampard and Gary Cahill, Spain pair Fernando Torres and Cesar Azpilicueta and Belgian stars Eden Hazard, Romelu Lukaku and Thiabaut Courtois all set for international action next month. The rest of Chelsea's World Cup contingent is made up of Cameroon's Samuel Eto'o, Germany's Andre Schurrle, Nigeria's John Obi Mikel, Victor Moses and Ken ...
FACT: John Obi Mikel has more PL goals than David Luiz this season.
Jose Mourinho ready to put his stamp on a Stamford Bridge squad that is set to get a whole lot smaller. Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is ready to conduct a major squad overhaul this summer and in order to make way for big money additions the West London club could offload as many as 15 players according to the Daily Express . Read more Chelsea Transfer News. With the Blues looking to bring in one, perhaps even two, new striking options it appears that Mourinho is happy to allow a number of his current crop of forwards to leave with Fernando Torres, Demba Ba and Samuel Eto'o all set to leave. Those exits will lead to bids for Atletico Madrid's Diego Costa and Bayern Munich marksman Mario Mandzukic. Mourinho will look to secure significant funds from the exits of Brazilian pair David Luiz and Ramires whilst Nigerian international duo John Obi Mikel and Victor Moses will also be shown to the Stamford Bridge exit. Of the club's three veteran long serving Englishmen Ashley Cole will be allowed to leave whilst Joh ...
ARSENAL SHOULD NOT UNDERMINE CHELSEA I heard some Arsenal supporters already predicting a win against Chelsea this coming weekend, becuz of absence the two suspended Brazilians; Ramirez and Willian. Even without the two, Chelsea still have Nemanja Matic, John Obi Mikel, Mohamed Salah, Andre Schurrle, Oscar, Eden Hazard, Frank Lampard, Marco van Ginkel in midfield. To me these players are good enough to take on any club in Europe. Don't forget David Luiz too is capable to playing in the middle of the park. Batho ba heso kea le eletsa se ke be la ea le khongoana holimo ke bosio ba ramirez le Willian.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is hoping at least one of David Luiz or John Obi Mikel is fit to face Galatasaray on Wednesday.
OFF WE GO! LET’S STAR THE DAY WITH AN EASY DOUBLE!!! ENGLAND - Premier League CHELSEA VS EVERTON KICK OFF AT 12.45 FACTS CHELSEA John Terry missed the FA Cup defeat to Manchester City at the weekend, but is expected to start against Everton. Marco van Ginkel and David Luiz are sidelined through injury. Oscar is also expected to come into the starting XI at the expense of John Obi Mikel. EVERTON Lacina Traoré may be handed a first Premier League start having netted after just 4 minutes against Swansea on Sunday. With Steven Naismith a doubt, the Ivorian should lead the attack. Darron Gibson, Arouna Koné, Bryan Oviedo and Antolin Alcaraz will all miss the trip to Chelsea through injury, while Romelu Lukaku, who joins them on the sidelines, would've been unable to play against his parent club. Other than that, Roberto Martínez has no further injury worries. STATISTICS Chelsea have scored at least 2 goals in 16 of their last 18 home matches in the Premier League. Chelsea are undefeated in their last 19 h ...
In shocking developments at Stamford Bridge, the club are planning a raid on their London rivals Tottenham Hotspur for Brazil midfielder Paulinho and defender Vlad Chiriches in a bid believed to be around £35 million. The duo were among the eight players that former manager Andre Villas-Boas brought to White Hart Lane in the summer. However, after the recent sacking of the Portuguese manager, things at the North London club look rather uncertain. Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho will be desperate to sort out the many problems he has been facing this campaign in all areas of the field. The ‘special one’ has identified box to box midfielder Paulinho to replace the likes of John Obi Mikel, Michael Essien and Frank Lampard who have been erratic this season. Defensively, the Blues have had their worst season yet, keeping only 4 clean sheets in the Premier League. As John Terry nears the end of his career, and David Luiz yet to impress the gaffer, Vlad Chiriches is touted to be the answer to their woes. Howev ...
Chelsea has submitted their roster to the FA (for the remaining season) as followed: Developed Abroad- Fernando Torres, Demba Ba, Samuel Eto'o, Eden Hazard, Oscar, Willian, Andre Schurrle, John Obi Mikel, Nemanja Matic, Ramires, Cesar Azpilicueta, Branislav Ivanovic, David Luiz, Petr Cech, Mark Schwarzer, Henrique Hilario Homegrown Players- John Terry, Ashley Cole, Gary Cahill, Frank Lampard You'll note that the Blues have only named 20 players to the squad, potentially leaving themselves rather short should any injuries arise. Luckily, domestic rules allow for the club to use any player who still qualifies as a U21. That leaves them plenty of options to choose from, with the following six players being notable: Under 21 Mohamed Salah, Tomas Kalas, Marco van Ginkel, Nathan Ake, Lewis Baker, Jamal Blackman Note: Out of the 25 places available on the roster 8 places are reserved for homegrown players,if the Club does not have that many HG players then these spots ( the remaining ones) on the roster are to b ...
JOSE MADE CHELSEA'S WIN AT CITY LOOK LIKE CHILD'S PLAY ... HE REALLY IS THE SPECIAL ONE At 2pm on Monday Jose Mourinho walked into a team meeting&told his players that he was planning for the double over Man City. 2 were out - star turn Oscar&John Obi Mikel - from the 0-0 draw with West Ham&2 - Nemanja Matic&David Luiz - were in. They had already beaten them 2-1 at Stamford Bridge on October 27,when Joe Hart's catastrophic mistake in the final minute cost Manuel Pellegrini's team a point. Even Chelsea's players, who had practised something completely different before travelling to Manchester, had been outfoxed. They had travelled north on Sunday believing Willian was the odd man out in a system designed to stop City's getting a grip on this stirring night. No-one in the Chelsea squad really believed that Oscar, their talisman with 9goals this season, could not start a game of this magnitude. They had been sold a dummy&yet the master Mourinho made this look like child's play at the Etihad. He really is the SPE ...
Boring, boring Chelsea...right? Chelsea were heavy underdogs when they traveled to Manchester on Monday, but after 90 minutes of action, one was left wondering why. Chelsea took maximum points with a 1-0 victory, but probably should have won by quite a bit more. While most pundits were criticizing Chelsea for parking the bus before the game kicked off, they had to give up on that narrative before the half.Chelsea's counterattack cut theManchester City defense to shreds, and probably should have had three or four goals before the break. It was more of the same as the second half got underway, with Chelsea going close on more than one occasion. A second goal eluded them though, and with about 10 minutes leftJose Mourinho finally warmed up the bus. Oscar came on forSamuel Eto'o , while John Obi Mikel andDemba Ba came on in stoppage time. Just like that, Chelsea are level on points with City. Thoughts: Despite my reservations with using David Luiz in the midfield from the beginning of a match, the overall eno ...
A PROFILE OF CHELSEA TARGET Nemanja Matic As has been pointed out earlier, Matic used to be a Chelsea player. He joined Chelsea in the summer of 2009 from Slovakian club MFK Kosice for a fee of 1.5 million pounds. He wasn't immediately available to the squad, as he was suffering from a broken bone in his foot suffered on international duty. Behind Frank Lampard, Michael Essien, John Obi Mikel, Michael Ballack, Deco, Joe Cole, Yuri Zhirkov, Florent Malouda, and others in a loaded Chelsea midfield, opportunities for Matic to see the field in 2009 were rare. Chelsea held onto him for about18 months before allowing him to move to Benfica in the David Luiz deal. Nemanja Matic is a Serbian born central midfielder with a dominant left foot. He stands a bit over 194cm and weighs 82kg(source: whoscored.com) , and he's an exceptional athlete considering his size. His imposing physique stands him out but he compliments that with a tremendous workrate and precision. He is relatively fast for a man his size and his pa ...
Eto'o too sharp for Schalke. A Timo Hildebrand howler helped Samuel Eto'o set Chelsea on their way to a 3-0 Champions League home win over Schalke on Wednesday night. The Cameroon striker scored his first goal in Europe for the Blues on 31 minutes after a bad mistake from visiting goalkeeper Hildebrand, and fired in a second nine minutes after the break. There was time for Eto'o's replacement Demba Ba to get on the scoresheet too seven minutes from time as Chelsea took control of Group E by matching their margin of victory in Gelsenkirchen on Matchday Three. Following Saturday's 2-0 Premier League defeat at Newcastle, Blues boss Jose Mourinho made six changes to his starting line-up. Gary Cahill, Cesar Azpilicueta, Andre Schurrle, John Obi Mikel, Willian and Eto'o came in, with David Luiz, Ashley Cole, Juan Mata and Frank Lampard dropping to the bench. Fernando Torres was missing with a leg injury, but there was some confusion over why Eden Hazard was left out of the matchday 18. Before kick-off, Mourinho ...
Mourinho will miss Fernando Torres for this tie through suspension and injury. The Spaniard was given marching orders against Spurs, after picking up two yellow cards. Also, he got injured in the last match while playing against Steaua Bucharest in the mid-week. So, expect, Samuel Eto’o to lead the forward line against the Canaries. In the defence, David Luiz has been impressive in his last two games and the Brazilian will continue to keep his place. He will be partnered by either Gary Cahill or John Terry. In the midfielde, Mourinho must make a choice to field John Obi Mikel alongside Ramires and to carry on with Ramires and Frank Lampard combo. The Portuguese might give Lampard a rest or could use him from the bench. Eden Hazard has returned to training after missing out the last game and should be in contention to play on the flanks along with Oscar and Mata. CL
John Obi Mikel's first English Premier League goal helped end Chelsea's run of four winless games as they beat West London rivals Fulham 2-0 on Saturday. Mikel struck six minutes from fulltime against Fulham with a close-range half-volley after Oscar had opened the scoring early in the second half at Stamford Bridge. The three points took Jose Mourinho's team to the top of the table, after a testing period in which they lost to Bayern Munich in the Uefa Super Cup final and were beaten by Everton and Basle. Mourinho made a big statement with his team selection, with Juan Mata and David Luiz left out of the matchday squad altogether. Fulham, with three ex-Chelsea players in their midfield – Scott Parker, Damien Duff and Steve Sidwell – had the best of the early chances. Duff made ground on the right flank and when the ball broke to Alex Kacaniklic, he crossed for Sidwell to head just over the crossbar. Darren Bent had a clearer opportunity when Pajtim Kasami played him clean through on goal, but his tam ...

Chelsea are getting ready to buy Roma’s Daniele De Rossi as Jose Mourinho looks to vamp up his midfield with an Italian engine as their pivot in the centre of the pitch, reports the Daily Mirror. The Blues have been terribly short of defensive midfield options after having played the likes of Frank Lampard and David Luiz in that unfamiliar position with John Obi Mikel the only recognised defensive midfielder in the lineup, and even the Nigerian has been linked with a move to Turkish giants Galatasaray. Though the arrival of Marco van Ginkelhas addressed this issue to some extent, Mourinho feels that a calm and experienced head like De Rossi’s in the midfield will be of great help and will allow MvG to play considerably higher up the pitch as a link up man in the middle of the park. Last season Roberto Di Matteo went on to secure the attacking midfield positions after buying emerging talents like Hazard and Oscar. However, the Italian gavethe green light for the sale of Raul Meireles and as a result h ...
Check it out-so amazing Here is what each player at Chelsea is earning: Eden Hazard - £185,000 Fernando Torres - £175,000 John Terry - £175,000 Frank Lampard - £140,000 Ashley Cole - £120,000 Petr Cech - £100,000 Gary Cahill - £80,000 David Luiz - £75,000 John Obi Mikel - £75,000 Juan Mata - £67,000 Ramires - £55,000 Oscar - £40,000 Ryan Bertrand - £40,000 Marko Marin - £35,000 Cesar Azpilicueta - £30,000 Victor Moses - £30,000 Branislav Ivanovic - £28,500 Oriol Romeu - £15,000 This is an accurate payroll from an undisclosed source . What does everyone think about these figures then? Who is overpaid, who is underpaid, who is justifying their money and how much more ridiculous will wages get??? Whoa, the rumours were true, Hazard is on crazy money. I just wrote a blog on how I was happy with Hazard’s form, but I think a player at his age who is new to the club should never earn that amount of money. It’s easy to pull your hair out when you look at Torres’ wages too. A reason t ...

German international Andre Schurrle will be Jose Mourinho's 1st signing for Chelsea FC and this is one exciting attacking player usually deployed on the left. John Obi Mikel may leave for Galatasaray which opens the opportunity for Oriol Romeu to cement his place in the DM position, along with Micheal Essien & David Luiz, should Mourinho continue to use the Brazilian there in good effect.
Chelsea Jose Mourinho will want to reconfigure the side as quickly as possible. He will have funds to do so. A defensive central midfielder is required to replace John Obi Mikel and free up Ramires. Better strikers than Demba Ba and Fernando Torres are wanted as is possibly a commanding central defender with David Luiz possibly getting sold. Leaving? FA CUP QUATERS::: VENUE: OLD TRAFFORD K.O: 4:30 pm GMT Probable line up for Chelsea: Peter Cech is the No.1 and in front of him in central-defense, any two of David Luiz, Gary Cahill, John Terry, or Branislav Ivanovic are possible. At right-back, the latter is in contention to start as is Cesar Azpilicueta. At left-back, Ashely Cole is expected to start. In Benitez's 4-2-3-1, two of Frank Lampard, John Obi Mikel, Ramires or Luiz are anticipated. In the attacking midfield line, playmakers Juan Mata, Oscar, and Eden Hazard are usually the first three considered but two of them could be complimented by the more defensively stable Ramires or Ryan Bertrand in the wide areas. Victor Moses is also a more direct option out wide. Up front, Demba Ba is expected to be chosen over Fernando Torres.

John Obi Mikel, Victor Moses, David Luiz, Demba Ba and John Terry are all set to start the game after having missed out due to various reasons while Torres and Frank Lampard are most likely to be rested among others.
Chelsea have been boosted with the return of Nigeria duo, "Victor Moses" and "John Obi Mikel" ahead of the return leg of the English FA cup tie against Brentford City at Stamford Bridge on sunday. Rafa Benitez has had a stroke of luck Demba Ba, David Luiz and Petr Cech have all been passed fit to face Wigan on Saturday. David Luiz has been unavailable for a bit due to a minor injury, but he was able to play as Brazil lost to England mid-week and didn't appear to be limited at all. With Terry being injured and John Obi Mikel still in South Africa, it will be interesting to see how Rafa Benitez chooses to use him this weekend. Also available for Chelsea will be Eden Hazard, who has been out for the last three games while serving his suspension. Both Mikel and Moses will be back in time for our next fixture after Wigan, as both will be required to report back from international duty no later than Tuesday. Demba Ba will be unavailable for that match, however, as he is cup tied for the Europa League with his former club.
Ba out as well Benitez is still without Victor Moses and John Obi Mikel after their Nigeria side qualified for Wednesday's semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations. David Luiz is a fitness doubt despite reporting for duty with the Brazil squad to play in Wednesday night's Wembley friendly against England. And with goalkeeper Petr Cech also confirming he broke a finger at Newcastle, it leaves Benitez short of numbers even before a raft of midweek international friendlies across the world in which most of the Chelsea squad will be involved.

David Luiz, Eden Hazard, Victor Moses, John Obi Mikel. The team needs all of them back asap.
Two Chelsea stars, John Obi Mikel and Victor Moses, are currently competing in the African Cup on Nations in South Africa at the moment and face a big quarter final match against their west African neighbours and tournament favourites the Ivory Coast on Sunday. We've not had much opportunity to rotate in central midfield considering Mikel's absence and the injuries to both Oriol Romeu and David Luiz, so I'm sure Rafael Benitez will be watching Sunday's game with interest and hoping to see the Super Eagles crash out. He'd also be keen to regain the services of Moses, who saved the blushes of a nation when he scored a brace of penalties against Ethiopia and avoided going out at the group stage.
Did you knew ? Jamie Carragher and Gianluigi Buffon were born at the same day ... David Luiz and John Obi Mikel...

John Obi Mikel on playing with Luiz in Midfield : "I've always played with Frank Lampard and now I've played with Rami Ramires as well - they're all great players. Now I have to play with David Luiz. It's just a lot. I think, psychologically as well. You think, 'If I'm playing today, who am I going to play with?' - because they're all great players." -HSL.
Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel has admitted it is a challenge to get used to playing with different partners in midfield, after David Luiz 's recent transition from defence - TS
Mikel confused: "With Luiz too?" Chelsea defensive midfielder John Obi Mikel said that he's confused with Rafá Benitez's decision to play David Luiz in midfield. "I'm here for a long time now and such thing mind me. I've always played with Lampard, then in pair with Ramires. They are great players, and now I have to play with Luiz too? That's psychologically hard, to think - if I am playing, who will I be paired with? They all are top players." - said Mikel. - Mawuli Chelsea Dzaka

MATA RESCUES CHELSEA Premier League, Carrow Road – Norwich 0 Chelsea 1 (Juan Mata 38) Juan Mata’s superb strike from distance proved the difference as Chelsea edged Norwich 1-0 at Carrow Road in the Premier League. The Blues were not in as fluent or as potent form as they had shown in an 8-0 drubbing of Aston Villa, but they controlled possession and held on. Sebastian Bassong had a late chance to salvage a point for the Canaries, who grew in confidence as the game wore on, but his close-range header went straight down into the ground and over the bar. With Manchester City sliding to defeat against Sunderland, Chelsea move to within four points of second place, with a game in hand over last season’s champions. Interim Chelsea manager Rafa Benitez made changes from the side that ran riot against Aston Villa on Sunday, with Frank Lampard, Eden Hazard and Ramires amongst the players rested – but David Luiz did retain his berth in central midfield, partnered by the returning John Obi Mikel. David Luiz will be asked to play defensive midfield for Chelsea or could be shown the door as Rafael Benitez signaled one of his biggest changes yet as Chelsea boss. The Brazilian, 25, who signed a new five year deal this September was given the midfield role at the World Club Cup last week and shone as Chelsea beat Monterrey 3-1. A season ending injury to Oriol Romeu has forced Benitez to change Luiz’ game to a defensive midfielder as the Blues attempt to get their title charge back on track. Widely praised for his distribution and attacking intent from the back, Luiz also attracted praised from John Obi Mikel after the game who said: “It was a good performance from him – he kept the ball well and played it well.”
Trying to present the case that David Luiz is better than John Obi Mikel for the Chelsea midfield this term
Chelsea: Interesting statistics from 2012/13 Some assorted statistics: – With six goals each, Fernando Torres and Juan Mata are Chelsea’s joint top-scorers so far. Mata has, however, reached that mark after 4 fewer starts in the Premier League. – Mata also ties the assist category with Belgian Eden Hazard (6 each), with the two players occupying joint second on the overall list. Again though, Mata has started four fewer games. – Outside of the back-four, John Obi Mikel has the highest pass-success rate in the squad (89.9%). – Gary Cahill and Fernando Torres both win, on average, 2.6 aerial duels per game, the most amongst Rafa Benitez’s squad. – David Luiz averages more defensive clearances (5.3) per game than any of his teammates. – Luis also leads his side in intercepts per game (1.8). – Oscar is dribbled more than any Chelsea player (1.4/game). – Gary Cahill blocks more shots per game (1.7) than any player in the Premier League. – John Obi Mikel commits on average more fouls per g ...
John Obi Mikel on David Luiz playing in midfield: "It was a bit of a shock to see David lining up there.
John Obi Mikel says David Luiz should play in defence for Chelsea:
Benitez gives his verdict on David Luiz move to midfield Rafael Benitez says he will consider using defender David Luiz in a defensive midfield role more often after the Brazilian’s performance in the 3-1 Club World Cup win against Monterrey. The Blues are short in defensive midfield due to injuries to John Obi Mikel and Oriol Romeu, meaning Luiz was pushed up from the back as Chelsea booked their place in the Club World Cup final with today’s victory in Yokohama. Interim boss Benitez was pleased with how Luiz adapted to the unfamiliar role, saying his versatility is a real asset for his side. “It’s an option for the future, but it was mainly for this game,” Benitez said. “I know David from Benfica, where he was playing centre-back, left full-back, right full-back, in many positions. “David is quick and can regain a lot of balls and, at the same time, can play passes to our players.” Benitez was taking nothing for granted ahead of a final Chelsea will also be expected to win. “You can ne ...
Chelsea crushed Nordsjaelland 6-1 but failed to reach the Champions League last 16 as Juventus beat Shakhtar Rafael Benitez recalled David Luiz and Oriol Romeu as Chelsea looked to avoid Champions League humiliation in tonight's final Group E game against Nordsjaelland. Luiz returned from suspension and Romeu replaced John Obi Mikel for a match the Blues needed to win - as well as hoping Shakhtar Donetsk beat Juventus - to avoid becoming the first holders to crash out of the competition before Christmas. Nordsjaelland recalled Patrick Mtiliga and Kasper Lorentzen as they aimed to deliver the knockout blow to opponents who thrashed them 4-0 before Chelsea's season began to unravel so spectacularly. -emma
Chelsea: Last Minute Team News and Potential Starting XI vs. Nordsjaelland With that team news in mind, let's have a look and see if we can piece together the Blues starting lineup for their match against Nordsjaelland. Petr Cech will start in goals as per usual for the Blues, and it's hard to see too many chances from the starting side that took on West Ham on the weekend other than the return of David Luiz into the central defenders role with Terry still absent. His return to the side will likely push Branislav Ivanovic out on to the right flank, where he has played all five previous Champions League fixtures. John Obi Mikel and Ramires will also both likely be used in central defensive midfield here, as they have been pretty much all season for the West London club. The absence of Lampard and the fact they will be looking to attack right from the whistle all but confirms their inclusion. The attacking midfield and wingers look like the players everyone would expect to see, with Victor Moses playing mos ...

Well, well well! Another manager bites the dust at Chelsea. You might be the current FA, and Champions League holders but you've no class, dignity or credibility... They overachieved last year and got lucky with a manager they were basically forced to employ.. And if it wasn't for a generous fixture list he'd have probably been sacked a few months ago... In Ramirez,Oscar, Mata and Hazard they have the best attacking midfield in The premiership, and only Barca,s midfield is better in Europe.. But they have possibly the worst centre back, and defensive midfielder I've seen for a long time.. Take a bow David Luiz, and John Obi Mikel!! Players like you have just lost a decent man his job! Now we will see if they are the real deal or just and overachieving team..
you start with David Luiz, John Obi Mikel & Torres every week. They’re all clowns who bottle it in big games.
CHELSEA players are divided over whether referee Mark Clattenburg actually aimed a racist remark at John Obi Mikel. SunSport can reveal some Blues stars are sceptical about the shock allegations and pressure is mounting on the club to physically prove the remarks were made. Significantly, the club have not yet officially complained to the police about the alleged incident — even though the Society of Black Lawyers has. Mikel’s team-mates Ramires and David Luiz told the midfielder they heard ref Clattenburg make an ‘inappropriate comment’ during Blues’ 3-2 defeat against Manchester United nine days ago. They were so furious they asked for Chelsea chief executive Ron Gourlay to go to the dressing room after the game and listen to their version of events. An insider said: “They were saying the club had to look after them and take action. They said the club had stood by John Terry in his race row with Anton Ferdinand and now it had to do the same for them. “But the other players weren’t so voc ...
