PSG willing to discuss Cavani swap for Chelsea winger Schurrle. PSG are eyeing Chelsea winger Andre Schurrle. The Parisien mega spenders are in the market for a new wing signing and are turning to Schurrle after being priced out of a deal for Real Madrid ace Angel di Maria. PSG have already parted with £50 million to sign Schurrle's former Blues teammate David Luiz and need to tread carefully regarding the Financial Fair Play laws to land the German. The French giants hope to avoid problems by offering Edinson Cavani in a swap for Schurrle. Blues boss Jose Mourinho regards Cavani highly, but won't consider the Uruguay international unless he can find a buyer for Fernando Torres. Should chelsea sell Schurrle?

Jose Mourinho is busy reshaping his squad having brought in Cesc Fabregas, sold David Luiz, and secured a deal for Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa. The arrival of Costa will see Fernando Torres and Demba Ba leave the club, with the Former Liverpool ace a target for Spanish side Valencia. Midfielder Marko Marin will also be shown the door, with his former club Wolfsburg readying a £7m bid. The Blues have also slapped a whopping £31m price-tag on Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku. Jose Mourinho TO AXE # EIGHT # CHELSEA It looks as though it will be all change at # Stamford_Bridge this summer as eight of Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea squad are set for the exit doors as the club look to revamp. The West London club has already sold # David Luiz for €50m whilst # Frank Lampard, # Samuel Eto’o and # Ashley Cole’s contracts will expire at the end of June and there are rumours circulating that five more players will be sold in order to generate funds. # Fernando Torres, # Romelu Lukaku, # Petr Cech, # John Obi Mikel and # Ryan Bertrand are all set for the axe and could generate over £70m in transfer funds which could be used to freshen up a squad that needs to change. Although he’s always given his all for the club many fans would be relieved to see Torres, who has been a monumental flop, leave the club and, similarly, the likes of # Mikel has never really been truly appreciated by the majority of the faithful. It’s also a # shame that # Mourinho may not # deem_Bertrand even good ...
David Luiz has today completed his transfer to Paris Saint-Germain. The Brazilian signed for the Blues from Benfica on the final day of the 2011 January transfer window, the same day we acquired the services of Fernando Torres . He made his debut as a late substitute at home to Liverpool, before making his first start in a goalless draw at Fulham soon after. An acrobatic overhead cross deep in the opposition half in the game at Craven Cottage provided Chelsea supporters with a glimpse of his flair and technical abilities, and there would be far more examples during his time at the club. Major highlights of his first season as a Chelsea player were two important goals, both scored against the Manchester clubs. His first for the club came against Man United at the Bridge in an eventful midweek contest. Trailing 1-0 to a Wayne Rooney goal, David Luiz fired us level with the sweetest of strikes before Frank Lampard netted the winner from the penalty spot. Soon after he set us on our way to an important 2-0 vi ...
Which Nation Has The Most Expensive Squad At This Years - This month’s World Cup will see a host of multimillion pound global icons take to football pitches across Brazil, from Barcelona’s Neymar to Chelsea’s Eden Hazard. It is set to be possibly the most money-laden World Cup of all time with the likes of Spain striker Fernando Torres and Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo costing in excess of £130m between them and contributing to the collective £3,126,400,000 transfer values of players at this summer’s tournament. But which of the 32 competing nations has the most expensive squad? Based on the last transfers of each of the 736 players travelling to Brazil, here’s how the numbers stack up. Perhaps unsurprisingly with Paris Saint-Germain recently agreeing a £50m fee for defender David Luiz, hosts Brazil top the list, with their squad totalling a staggering £407m. That includes the likes of Thiago Silva – signed by PSG for £34m – Hulk – signed by Zenit St Petersburg for £49m – and Will ...

From the Chelsea stable: Reflecting on our 3-1 Champions League defeat to Atletico Madrid, David Luiz felt the goal we conceded on the stroke of half-time was the turning point. With the tie goalless following last week's first leg in Spain, an away goal for Diego Simeone's side was always going to make it a difficult evening for the Blues. Fernando Torres had given us the lead against his former club when he swept home a Cesar Azpilicueta cross after 35 minutes, but the visitors restored parity nine minutes later through Adrian Lopez. 'They scored when they needed to score,' said David Luiz. 'We controlled the game for the first 40 minutes and then we conceded a goal at the end of the first half. They were able to counter attack and they dictated the game.' The balance of the contest swung in Atletico's favour early in the Second Half when Diego Costa scored a penalty, sandwiched in between two headers, from David Luiz and John Terry, which had gone close. Their third goal, scored by Arda Turan following ...
Team given- Chelsea by Adam Wallworth Do I like them- not a massive fan but can play some nice football on there day. Best player- Edin Hazard great skills and ability with a clinical finish in front of goal makes him hard to defend and a massive threat to any opposition. Worst player- Fernando Torres moved on a big money transfer yet has never really produced the same performances he had at Liverpool. Most overrated- David Luiz apart from his wicked shot on set pieces he is really not the best player. Can't defend and always pushes forward to leave you a man down at the back. Most underrated- Gary Cahill by far the best centre back at the club solid reliable and pops up on set pieces to score goals but will never get any recognition while John Terry is still around. Possible future Chelsea captain. Like this and I will give you a team

Mourinho blasts 'ridiculous' defending after PSG loss The Blues boss defended his decision to start with Andre Schurrle and suggests that he expected more from Fernando Torres when he introduced him as a second-half substitute By Stephen Darwin Apr 2, 2014 11:04:00 PM Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho criticised his side's "ridiculous" defending following their 3-1 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League. Mourinho's side were level at half-time in the first leg, with Eden Hazard's penalty having secured a crucial away goal after Ezequiel Lavezzi had struck to give the hosts the lead at Parc des Princes. But the visitors paid for some slack defending in the Second Half, with first David Luiz scoring an own goal before Javier Pastore ghosted in from the touchline to sneak home a third at Petr Cech's near post. And Mourinho struggled to put into words his frustration at his side's lapse in concentration, telling Sky Sports: "It's ridiculous [the defending for the third PSG goal]. "Don't ask me to t ...

CHELSEA UPDATE ETOO OUT FOR TWO WEEKS Jose Mourinho is optimistic that Samuel Eto'o will return to action within the fortnight to bolster Chelsea's Premier League challenge. The Cameroon striker suffered a hamstring injury during Chelsea's 6-0 victory over Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Saturday. Eto'o scored his 11th goal of the season against Arsenal before being withdrawn, fearing he had a severe injury. He will likely miss next weekend's trip to relegation-threatened Crystal Palace but Mourinho is hopeful the striker will return soon. "Hopefully it's not so big," said Mourinho. "Hopefully it's not a one-month injury, it's 10 to 15 days." Mourinho was happy with Eto'o's replacement, Fernando Torres, and with David Luiz's display in midfield, a position the manager insisted earlier in the season the Brazil defender would not play. "Fernando, without scoring a goal, had a very good performance with great movement for the team," Mourinho said. "I like David in midfield. I like him a lot there."

Happy Birthday at Fernando Torres, Why Do I Celebrate It? because David Luiz is the King of Selfies and Pics
MOURINHO: FINE MARGINS Posted on: Fri 14 Mar 2014 The Blues will go in search of a third consecutive win at Villa Park tomorrow, but with the match preceding Tuesday's Champions League clash with Galatasaray, Jose Mourinho is keen for his side to take one game at a time. Having conducted his previous two press conferences at Stamford Bridge, today's was held in the familiar surroundings of Cobham, where the Portuguese was greeted by the assembled media. Mourinho reported tomorrow's game comes too soon for injured defenders David Luiz and Ashley Cole, but he may be able to call on the services of Fernando Torres, after the striker limped out of the warm-up ahead of last week's win against Tottenham. 'We will have no David and no Ashley,' he said when asked on the availability of the defensive pair. 'Fernando is much, much better. Maybe I'll take him tomorrow, maybe I won't take him and I'll try everything for Tuesday. It depends on today's training and conversations after the session, but yesterday he look ...
“Eto’o is the only striker I have and he is probably 35″ – Mourinho José Mourinho has reacted angrily after reports emerged in France of the Chelsea manager making disparaging remarks, delivered in what he apparently considered to be a private conversation, over the quality of the forwards at his disposal. The comments were made last week in Nyon but reported as he and his squad flew out to Turkey for the first leg of their Champions League knockout tie against Galatasaray. Chelsea will come face to face with their former striker, Didier Drogba, at the Turk Telekomm arena on Wednesday and while that promises to be an emotional reunion, Mourinho has been left to rebuild bridges with Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto’o and Demba Ba after Canal Plus published a video on its website of him assessing the current crop. While Chelsea do not deny the authenticity of the quotes, they have stressed that the manager was unaware he was being filmed and was instead conducting what he believed to be a private and ...
RUMOURS: Chelsea defender David Luiz has offered his services as a striker to boss Jose Mourinho in order to help ease the club's on-going striker problems. Luiz has spent most of his career at centre- back, but recently has been deployed in midfield by Mourinho.Chelsea have problems up front - with strike trio Samuel Eto'o, Fernando Torres and Demba Ba failing to find the back of the net on a regular basis this term.
Don't know if anyone plays Fifa 13 anymore be wagers for , David Villa, David Luiz, Balotelli, Fernando Torres and many more players :)
Experience is needed in the team but ikanyanyisa kuwanda inogona kukuwadza team.Chelsea has got a lot of ageing players and most of them had become liabilities.New blood is needed at Chelsea and mix them with those ageing players. With these players: John Terry (45) Samuel Eto'o (43) Ashley Cole (38) Garry Cahil (37) Fernando Torres (38) Ramires (34) Obi Mikel (37) David Luiz (35) Frank Lampard (44) Demba Ba (39) Chelsea wont go anywhere with these grandfathers.Their position in the league is not a true reflection of how they are playing.Sometimes luck plays a very important role in soccer.I dont see Chelsea winning anything this season unless they get rid of those grandparents from their dressing room.

3 years ago today, Fernando Torres and David Luiz made their debuts for Chelsea.
WEEKEND ROUND UP Gareth Bale scored his first goal of 2014, as his Real Madrid side demolished basement club Real Betis 5-0. Bale scored a spectacular free-kick after Ronaldo had put Madrid ahead with a spectacular strike of his own. The Welshman looked back to his imperious best, and it looked as though he'd put his injury problems behind him. Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez scored what would only prove to be a consolation for Manchester United, as their title hopes were all but crushed as Samuel Eto'o fired Chelsea to a 3-1 victory. Ashley Young started the game for Utd, and could have put them 1-0 up very early on, Petr Cech equal to his left foot effort. For Chelsea, David Luiz started in his new midfield berth, while Fernando Torres started on the bench as Eto'o started. This proved to be a great decision by Mourinho as Eto'o went on to destroy Utd with a brilliant hat-trick. Chicharito rose from the bench with 35 minutes remaining and gave Utd the spark they had been missing and gave them a glimmer of ...
PRE-MATCH BRIEFING: CHELSEA V Swansea City TACTICAL BRIEF Michael Essien returns from the suspension that ruled him out of Monday's draw at Arsenal. Jose Mourinho,a fan of the hectic Christmas period that is unique among Europe's top leagues,is likely to make several changes from that game. The 4-3-3 formation constricted&stretched the Gunners&Essien,&late sub David Luiz can compete with Mikel to anchor midfield in that system. Fernando Torres was the only CF used in north London so either Samuel Eto'o or Demba Ba may step in today. Juan Mata was rested entirely along with Ashley Cole&Kevin De Bruyne. Chelsea have scored at least 2goals in each of the last 13 home league games, but no side has conceded fewer on the road than the Swans. However Michael Laudrup arrives with a team torn apart by injuries. Holland intn'l squad member Michel Vorm's knee operation ahead of the World Cup has meant a return for 35yrs-old Gerhard Tremmel back in goal - he has never lost to Chelsea. The Danish coach is also without ...
'off went Fernando Torres and on came David Luiz – heaven knows what Roman Abramovich will have made of that substitution'
We're heading into the January transfer window, so here are 20 bad English Premier League signings. If you're a Premier League director of football (Joe Kinnear, I know you're reading this), these 20 failed Premier League signings will serve as cautionary examples of what not to do this January for EPL clubs. The list is ranked by how expensive the transfer fee was. 1. Fernando Torres (Liverpool to Chelsea for £50 Million; 2011) Fernando Torres was in decline in his last season for Liverpool, scoring nine goals in 26 games (his worst return in his Liverpool career). Chelsea logic: Pay Liverpool £50 million for Torres, whose best game during a struggling season came against Chelsea. Look at what Luis Suarez does for Liverpool and compare it to Torres at Chelsea. Suarez scored more Premier League goals in 35 minutes against Norwich City (three; would finish the game with four) than Torres has done so far (two). 2. David Luiz (Benfica to Chelsea for £21.3 Million and Nemanja Matic; 2011) In the League Cup ...
All the latest news and views from Stamford Bridge. Two key transfer stories this morning as Express move Chelsea's pursuit of goal- poacher Radamel Falcao on by claiming that AS Monaco want Demba Ba or Fernando Torres in return and Jose Mourinho is ready to raid Internazionale for a towering 25-year-old centre back; a potential replacement defender for David Luiz, perhaps, say The Mirror. SEE ALSO: Chelsea latest: Mou on key to pushing Arsenal, former AM drug appeal The highly-anticipated talks between Roman Abramovich and Monaco owner Dmitri Rybolovlev are yet to take place, but Express claim the meeting is 'set'. article continues below There were a number of lucrative transfers that occurred during the summer market and, even though Falcao has spent less than a half season on the yacht-strewn French Riviera, Rybolovlev believes his nine goal return in 14 Ligue 1 matches coupled with the Colombian's heightened fame and the alleged interest Real Madrid has in him, ensures his valuation is now anywhere b ...
PRE-MATCH BRIEFING: SUNDERLAND V CHELSEA TACTICAL BRIEF Jose Mourinho is wary of the scheduling this week&has already said several times that Sunderland are a better side than the points they have suggest. Under former Stamford Bridge icon Gustavo Poyet,Sunderland have won their last 3games at home in league&cup. With another testing visit to Mark Hughes's Stoke to come on Saturday before the Steaua game a week today,he is certain to mix the starting 11s considerably. Ashley Cole is training&may play in 1 of the league games this week. David Luiz is still not training but could return soon to break up Sunday's goalscoring central defensive partnership of Gary Cahill&John Terry. Fellow Brazilian Oscar will also miss out tonight after injuring his ankle at the weekend. CF Samuel Eto'o has returned from the groin problem suffered vs Basel&could figure this evening. Jose Mourinho has revealed David Luiz and Samuel Eto’o are out of Chelsea’s home match with Southampton on Sunday, which will likely mean Fernando Torres makes his first start since suffering an injury just after the 2-1 win over Manchester City on Oct. 27.
The five biggest Premier League wins - Manchester City games miss out After City's 7-0 and 6-0 thumpings of Norwich and Tottenham in their last two home games, a look at the highest margins of victory since the league began, also featuring Chelsea, Manchester United and Newcastle. Manuel Pellegrini's Manchester City may be struggling away from home but at the Etihad they are scoring for fun. 13 goals in their last two fixtures is impressive but their margins of victory are still not enough to put them in top five highest winning scorelines. So what makes the list? Chelsea 8-0 Aston Villa (23rd December 2012) – Rafael Benitez’s side saw Christmas come early when they thumped Villa at Stamford Bridge last season. Fernando Torres, David Luiz and Branislav Ivanovic put them three ahead by half-time. Frank Lampard made it four with a Ramires double, Oscar’s penalty and Eden Hazard completing the rout. Lucas Piazon also missed a penalty which would have put them at the top of the list. Chelsea 8-0 Wigan A ...
A knee injury will keep defender David Luiz out of Chelsea's Champions League meeting with Basel on Tuesday evening. The west London club revealed on Monday that Luiz is not a part of the 21-man squad for the trip to Switzerland as he requires on-going treatment on the bruised patella that saw him miss Saturday's 3-0 win at West Ham. But manager Jose Mourinho is boosted ahead of the Group E clash by the return to fitness of club-record signing Fernando Torres.
Eto'o too sharp for Schalke. A Timo Hildebrand howler helped Samuel Eto'o set Chelsea on their way to a 3-0 Champions League home win over Schalke on Wednesday night. The Cameroon striker scored his first goal in Europe for the Blues on 31 minutes after a bad mistake from visiting goalkeeper Hildebrand, and fired in a second nine minutes after the break. There was time for Eto'o's replacement Demba Ba to get on the scoresheet too seven minutes from time as Chelsea took control of Group E by matching their margin of victory in Gelsenkirchen on Matchday Three. Following Saturday's 2-0 Premier League defeat at Newcastle, Blues boss Jose Mourinho made six changes to his starting line-up. Gary Cahill, Cesar Azpilicueta, Andre Schurrle, John Obi Mikel, Willian and Eto'o came in, with David Luiz, Ashley Cole, Juan Mata and Frank Lampard dropping to the bench. Fernando Torres was missing with a leg injury, but there was some confusion over why Eden Hazard was left out of the matchday 18. Before kick-off, Mourinho ...
Summary: Win or lose, we’ll support the blues! Despite Chelsea’s first half dominance the blues suffered their second league defeat of the season. Goals from Frenchmen Remy and Gourffran capped off a miserable game for Mourinho’s men. Chelsea started the game with a fast tempo despite the terrible conditions. Chelsea nearly forced an opportunity with Fernando Torres chasing Williamson trying to force the centre-back into making a mistake, however a smart piece of defending allowed the defender to clear the ball up field. The 13th minute saw Chelsea hit the bar twice within the space of 10 seconds. Juan Mata who was re-introduced into the starting 11 alongside David Luiz, curled an in-swinging corner towards John Terry, the Chelsea Captain leaped the highest and saw his header crash off the bar. Seconds later after the woodwork denied Chelsea the same thing happened as Branislav Ivanovic’s deflected header hit the top of the bar. The score remained 0-0 Due to the weather both sides, are mis-placing ...

Mourinho will miss Fernando Torres for this tie through suspension and injury. The Spaniard was given marching orders against Spurs, after picking up two yellow cards. Also, he got injured in the last match while playing against Steaua Bucharest in the mid-week. So, expect, Samuel Eto’o to lead the forward line against the Canaries. In the defence, David Luiz has been impressive in his last two games and the Brazilian will continue to keep his place. He will be partnered by either Gary Cahill or John Terry. In the midfielde, Mourinho must make a choice to field John Obi Mikel alongside Ramires and to carry on with Ramires and Frank Lampard combo. The Portuguese might give Lampard a rest or could use him from the bench. Eden Hazard has returned to training after missing out the last game and should be in contention to play on the flanks along with Oscar and Mata. CL
MATCH REPORT: TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR 1 CHELSEA 1 29-09-2013 Summary A spirited second-half display by the visitors earned a draw in the Saturday lunchtime London derby, John Terry levelling after an early Spurs strike. There was added satisfaction that the point was gained despite the disadvantage of 10 men for the closing stages after Fernando Torres , who was causing the home side plenty of problems, was sent off following a second yellow card. Tottenham took the lead after 18 minutes and looked capable of increasing their advantage but Chelsea rallied well and could have added to Terry's 64 th - minute set-piece goal in the second period but for good saves from Tottenham keeper Hugo Lloris. Team News There were three changes to the side that began the last league game. David Luiz returned to defence and with Ramires passed fit following a hip strain suffered at Swindon, he moved forward to a wide right position in place of Andre Schurrle . Frank Lampard returned to midfield alongside John Mikel Obi and Fern ...
Tottenham v Chelsea Team News: TOTTENHAM: Tottenham left-back Danny Rose is likely to make his return from a toe injury on Saturday. Defender Younes Kaboul (adductor) is doubtful, but midfielder Etienne Capoue remains sidelined with an ankle injury. Spurs will give winger Aaron Lennon (foot) a fitness test on Friday while striker Emmanuel Adebayor is out through illness. CHELSEA: Chelsea will be without summer signing Marco Van Ginkel, with the Dutch midfielder expected to miss the remainder of the season after damaging knee ligaments in a Capital One Cup clash with Swindon on Tuesday. Ramires, who replaced Van Ginkel, was also forced off in midweek and has been rated as 'a major doubt' to face Spurs as he nurses a hip complaint. Juan Mata, David Luiz, Fernando Torres and Willian were all handed starting berths at the County Ground, but Mourinho is likely to freshen things up again in an effort to keep everyone on their toes.
Mata's industrious performance proves he can meet Mourinho's challenge, says Holland Assistant first-team coach Steve Holland praised the performance of Juan Mata as Chelsea saw off Swindon 2-0 to reach the fourth round of the Capital One Cup. Much of the pre-match focus was on Mata after manager Jose Mourinho omitted the World-Cup winning Spaniard, along with David Luiz, from his matchday 18 for Saturday's 2-0 victory over Fulham. Mourinho insists Mata does have a future at the club but has challenged him to adapt his game and the midfielder, restored to the starting XI at the County Ground, responded in impressive fashion with an industrious performance. Having provided a defence-splitting pass for Fernando Torres minutes earlier, Mata came close to a goal himself but saw his shot parried into the path of his compatriot, who this time opened the scoring. Substitute Ramires added a second soon after as the Blues did enough against a gutsy Swindon side. 'Obviously a lot has been made of the Mata situation ...
If Zelalem was playing, this Arsenal team would already be in London studying film of Juan Mata, Fernando Torres and David Luiz.

Check it out-so amazing Here is what each player at Chelsea is earning: Eden Hazard - £185,000 Fernando Torres - £175,000 John Terry - £175,000 Frank Lampard - £140,000 Ashley Cole - £120,000 Petr Cech - £100,000 Gary Cahill - £80,000 David Luiz - £75,000 John Obi Mikel - £75,000 Juan Mata - £67,000 Ramires - £55,000 Oscar - £40,000 Ryan Bertrand - £40,000 Marko Marin - £35,000 Cesar Azpilicueta - £30,000 Victor Moses - £30,000 Branislav Ivanovic - £28,500 Oriol Romeu - £15,000 This is an accurate payroll from an undisclosed source . What does everyone think about these figures then? Who is overpaid, who is underpaid, who is justifying their money and how much more ridiculous will wages get??? Whoa, the rumours were true, Hazard is on crazy money. I just wrote a blog on how I was happy with Hazard’s form, but I think a player at his age who is new to the club should never earn that amount of money. It’s easy to pull your hair out when you look at Torres’ wages too. A reason t ...
Come to think of it, no Man Utd, Man City and Arsenal players played in the Confederations Cup fianl. But five of my Chelsea's players, Fernando Torres, David Luiz, Emboaba Dos Santos Oscar, Juan Mata, Cesar Azpilicueta all played and were fantastic. You should give credit to us (Chelsea). UP BLUES!

Confederation Cup Final: Apart from Barcelona FC that produced over 70% of the entire Spanish team and Juventus that produced 60% of the entire Italian team, Chelsea FC parades more footballers at the 2013 Confederation Cup more than anyother club in the world. (Nigeria) John Mikel Obi, Kenneth Omeruo; (Spain) Juan Mata, Cezar Aspilicueta, Fernando Torres; (Brazil) Oscar, David Luiz. Add that to the prospective signings, Hulk and Cavani.

Watch it live on any online or TV channel in USA and worldwide. Check out live streaming and TV info! The players that are going to be involved in the Confederations Cup final know each other’s faces too much. The game will be a mix-up of mainly Barcelona, Real Madrid and Chelsea stars; Sergio Ramos, Iker Casillas, Shakira’s husband Gerard Pique, Fernando Torres, David Luiz and the list of Blanco, Catalan and Blue names goes on… Evidently, a certain matchup stands out above the rest: it is the meeting between Neymar and his new Barca team mates. Will the Brazil number 10 forward play the villain by single-handedly upsetting favourites Spain or will he suffer from intimidation towards the greatness of Xavi, Iniesta and company? If Uruguay thought they had f ...
TORRES TO PARTNER HIGUAIN:Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger wants to bring Fernando Torres to the Emirates, write Dean Jones and Dave Kidd of the Sunday People. And Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is ready to let the Spaniard leave. The shock Gunners move comes as Blues insiders claim Mourinho considers only FIVE of the Chelsea squad are certain starters for the New Season.Spanish wizard Juan Mata and Brazil defender David Luiz are NOT among the five – and could also be waving farewell to the Premier League this summer. But it’s news of Arsenal’s move for striker Torres – who is wanted at the Emirates along with Real Madrid star Gonzalo Higuain – that will create shockwaves. The ambitious Gunners board are desperate for star signings after years of letting their biggest names leave.Torres, on duty in Brazil at the Confederations Cup, is not sure if he figures in Chelsea’s plans. He will speak to Mourinho this week – and Arsenal will move fast if he gets the thumbs-down.Their main target is still Argentin ...
Tomas Rosicky is a transfer target for Zenit. Nathan Dyer could make a possible move to Hull after reports suggested they were interested in a move. Chelsea and Jose Mourinho were last night bracing themselves for a £100m raid from Europeans biggest clubs for Juan Mata, David Luiz and Fernando Torres. David Moyes has said he is determined to make a spectacular signing with Gareth Bale, Cesc Fabregas, Robert Lewandowski and Cristiano Ronaldo all possible options. Denilson, who is available on a free, is a target for Stoke. Samir Nasri could be set for a move to spain according to several spanish newspapers. Klaas Jan Huntelaar could join Tottenham if they fail to sign their top striking target David Villa or Christian Benteke. Emanuel Frimpong and Marouane Chamakh have reportedly been told they can leave Arsenal. Joleon Lescott is another Man City star who is attracting interest abroad from the likes of Athletico Madrid and Napoli. West Brom will try and sign Romelu Lukaku on a permanent basis.
You've got Oscar and David Luiz on one side and Juan Mata and Fernando Torres on the other it's going to be an epic final
Chelsea duo David Luiz and Oscar are into the final of the Confederations Cup. Brazil overcame a spirited Uruguay tonight 2-1 and will now face the winners of tomorrow night's other semi-final between Spin and Italy. Chelsea trio Fernando Torres, Juan Mata and Cesar Azpilicueta have a chance to meet their Blues teammates should Spain prevail against the Italians. Like if you want a Spain vs Brazil final! -Aro
The Mirror claim that Chelsea will receive bids totalling £100m for Juan Mata, David Luiz and Fernando Torres.. Hold up, why would those three players cost £100m? Mata would be £35m maybe £40m max. I wouldn't say that Luiz is worth more than £25m and Torres isn't worth more than £20m. I'd say for those three you would be looking to pay no more than £80m.
- Schurrle deal agreed after Son sale Having won the Premier League in two of his three full seasons during his previous stint at the club, expectations are high. Known to be rather authoritarian in his approach, it has been rumoured that Mourinho wants to make a *** of a stamp on the team, with David Luiz and Juan Mata amongst those who could be forced out. Meanwhile, the former Real Madrid manager is the big-name boss who many expect to be able to attract big-name signings. Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Radamel Falcao and Edinson Cavani are just a few names to have been mentioned of late. While Falcao has instead chosen the French Riviera, Ibra and Cavani could still come to London, and either would be wholly capable of improving a misfiring front line that has seen Fernando Torres or Demba Ba start in the lone striker role all season. With countless below par performances, and respective conversion rates of 11.8% and 11.1% in the Premier League this season, few would deny that that is the area which most needs . ...
Chelsea Transfer News: Juan Mata, David Luiz and Fernando Torres could all leave Stamford Bridge
Thomas Kinkade Collectibles from The Bradford Exchange Online
Jose Mourinho will set foot back in Stamford Bridge tomorrow with a list of high-profile transfer targets and a blueprint for taking Chelsea back to the top of the English game. The 50-year-old will be formally unveiled as the new Chelsea manager, just under six years after his first spell came to a close with a terse club statement announcing he had left by mutual consent. Mourinho will reportedly be handed a summer transfer kitty of over £100million - and among the names already linked are Napoli striker Edinson Cavani, Montenegrin international Stevan Jovetic, and Xabi Alonso. But it is the club’s existing squad of players which may provide Mourinho with his biggest headache as he considers what to do with the likes of David Luiz, Fernando Torres and perhaps even John Terry. Terry was the driving force in lifting the club to their first league title in over half a century during Mourinho’s initial spell in charge, but at the age of 32 he may struggle to replicate such a role. The club captain has ...
The second coming of Jose Mourinho will begin in earnest today. By his own standards, Mourinho’s reign as Real Madrid manager was a failure. Barcelona maestro Andres Iniesta could not help passing judgment on Sunday, insisting Mourinho damaged Spanish football. With a £120million transfer budget from Blues owner, Roman Abramovich, Mourinho is already plotting to win trophies. The squad he inherits is argubaly more talented than that of 2004 but there will be changes. Mourinho has texted some players with the simple message: ‘See you soon. Look forward to working with you.’ Yet there indications, that message may not be so welcoming to others. Fernando Torres, Demba Ba, Victor Moses, John Mikel Obi and David Luiz may well be shifting uncomfortably while John Terry is likely to see out his contract until next summer. QUESTION What kind of Mourinho do you think is coming back to Chelsea? Will it be the spiky character who divided opinion in Spain or will it be a softer, matured Mourinho ? (engr. OMO-O ...
"Jose Mourinho will listen to offers for Chelsea’s Juan Mata as well as David Luiz and Fernando Torres. (Times)"
Saturday's gossip column TRANSFER GOSSIP Chelsea have made a bid of £49.3m for Napoli striker Edinson Cavani, 26, after the Italian club rejected a lower offer that would have seen Fernando Torres head in the opposite direction. Napoli are determined that a release clause of £53m in Cavani's contract will be triggered before they let him go, and have been given a list of fringe players from Chelsea to choose from as part of the deal. Manchester United boss David Moyes is ready to spend £40m in an attempt to beat Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger to the signing of Barcelona's 26-year-old Cesc Fabregas. Barcelona will move for Chelsea defender David Luiz, 26, if the Catalan club fail to convince Thiago Silva, 28, to leave Paris St-Germain. Newcastle midfielder Yohan Cabaye could move to Man United after the 27-year-old spoke of his admiration for the Old Trafford club. Liverpool will complete the signing of Celta Vigo striker Iago Aspas, 25, next week after Tottenham's late interest appeared to threaten thei ...

Chelsea Jose Mourinho will want to reconfigure the side as quickly as possible. He will have funds to do so. A defensive central midfielder is required to replace John Obi Mikel and free up Ramires. Paulo Ferreira (confirmed), Florent Malouda (confirmed) John Obi Mikel, Fernando Torres, David Luiz, Kevin De Bruyne Incoming? Andre Schurrle, Wayne Rooney, Nemanja Matic, Christian Benteke, Luka Modric, Marouane Fellaini, Romelu Lukaku
Chelsea Money to spend? Roman Abramovich will presumably seek to supply new manager José Mourinho with reinforcements, even though this club still aspire to comply comfortably with financial fair play regulations. That might, potentially, necessitate at least one notable sale Who's spending it? The technical director, Michael Emenalo, is nominally overseeing the recruitment and scouting department and will liaise with the manager and owner to secure purchases Ins? They will seek a central midfielder and a striker as priorities, but additions to defence and a back-up goalkeeper required Outs? The likes of Florent Malouda and Yossi Benayoun will leave under freedom of contract. The intrigue will come if rivals bid for David Luiz, Ramires or Fernando Torres - MK

Who is Chelsea's Duracell bunny? As Blues near end of tiring 69-game season, look at the stats... After a 69 game slog of a season which has taken Chelsea to Japan, Romania, Russia and plenty of other places, they take on Premier League rivals Manchester City twice in two days - in America. But who is Chelsea's Duracell bunny? Analyzing the statistics to find which players have pulled their weight. The obvious answers would be Juan Mata, Oscar and Fernando Torres - who have all appeared in 64 matches. This trio currently hold the record for appearances in one season. But in terms of minutes played, the player who takes the accolade is Chelsea's man of steel. Or as his team-mates know him, 'The Beast'. It's Serbian centre-back Branislav Ivanovic. It's important to say that Ivanovic is actually only 2nd in terms of minutes played (4992mins) - but the No 1, goalkeeper Petr Cech (5655), mainly spends his time standing still in his penalty area. Following Ivanovic are Juan Mata (4920) and David Luiz (4915), ev ...
"The team was in transition with new players who have now improved and have experience of competing for trophies. César Azpilicueta is an international, David Luiz can play in a different position, Fernando Torres is stronger and more confident, and Oscar, Hazard and Mata are getting better every day." This is what Benetiz has to say about our team now :) -abmatt-
1.If a competition has the word 'Euro' in it, Fernando Torres will score in the final and win it. Torres now has 2 Euros, a World Cup, a Champions League and a Europa League 2. In club level European finals, expect a late crucial goal being headed in off a Juan Mata corner. 3. Chelsea have had 3 European finals. John Terry captained one and lost. He wasn't part of the other two but Chelsea won. Karma at play? 4. It's unthinkable there is no talk of buying the likes of Eduardo Salvio and Nico Gaitan by the cash rich clubs. Also Oscar Cardozo for the clubs not against getting class players nearing 30 5. In the Nemanja Matic-David Luiz exchange who has risen better? Decide... 6. Europa League: Benfica 1 Chelsea 2 Full Match Report: 15 May 2013 22:45 Chelsea won the UEFA Europa League thanks to Branislav Ivanovic's last- gasp header as they beat Benfica 2-1 in Amsterdam on Wednesday. Fernando Torres had given the Premier League side the lead and the Serbian defender sealed a memorable win in stoppage time after Oscar Cardozo's penalty had levelled the scores. The Portuguese side named their strongest possible XI with Cardozo flanked by Eduardo Salvio, Nico Gaitan and Rodrigo in attack. But Rafael Benitez had to make do without the services of injured duo John Terry and Eden Hazard, with David Luiz stepping into midfield to allow Ramires to play on the right wing. Benfica settled the quicker of the two teams and were soon on the front foot, Cardozo heading over from a Andre Almeida cross inside two minutes. Jorge Jesus' men dictated the play in the early going but proved wasteful in front of goal, Gaitan firing high at the end of another intricate move, which saw Salvio turn down a ...
John Terry is not fit to play so Gary Cahill will partner Branislav Ivanovic in central defence. David Luiz plays alongside Frank Lampard in the centre of midfield with Ramires, who like David Luiz is playing against his former club, in a wide right position. For Benfica, Andre Almeida moves from left-back to replace suspended Ma

MATCH DETAILS OF CHELSEA AND MAN U The first half was dominated by the Red Devils as Chelsea endured a torrid first 10 minutes, with Chicharito opening the scoring with a header, before Rooney extended the lead with a fortuitous free-kick. It was truly a tale of two halves, though, as Chelsea controlled the second period, eventually getting their just rewards with a stunning effort from Hazard and a smart finish from Ramires. Sir Alex Ferguson chose to retain the bulk of the side that fell to a disappointing Champions League exit on Tuesday, though he made four changes as Jonny Evans, Shinji Kagawa, Rooney and Chicharito came in, at the expense of Nemanja Vidic, Danny Welbeck, Ryan Giggs and Robin Van Persie. Rafa Benitez, meanwhile, made wholesale changes as only Petr Cech, David Luiz, Oscar and Frank Lampard remained from the side that fell to a 1-0 defeat against Steaua Bucharest on Thursday, with John Terry, Hazard and Fernando Torres amongst those notably excluded. It took just four minutes for the d ...
The ONE Chelsea player you look up to? Mine is Fernando Torres. :p What's yours?
Premier League ROUND UP Blues beat Baggies, United cruise Chelsea eased the pressure on interim manager Rafael Benitez with a victory at home to West Brom, while Manchester United secured a comfortable win over Norwich thanks to a Shinji Kagawa hat-trick. Rafael Benitez risked angering Chelsea fans midweek by telling them they are "wasting time" jeering him instead of backing the team, but he gave them little reason to moan with a 1-0 triumph over West Brom at Stamford Bridge. A solitary strike from Demba Ba lifted the Blues back above Tottenham in third, boosting their hopes of securing Champions League football. Benitez had been forced to dispute claims of a fall-out with John Terry during the week, but the Chelsea skipper again found himself on the bench alongside Fernando Torres, who made way for Ba. It was the former Newcastle forward who scored the winner from six yards, converting easily after David Luiz nodded Oscar's centre back across goal. It was comfortable thereafter for Chelsea, although mor ...
Dear collectors, customers and fellow sellers... I am not sure who knows what with recent SoccerStarz developments over the past few days but this is what I believe to be the plan having been in conversation with them recently. CHELSEA BLUE BASES There will be 9 blue base Champions League blisters available. There will be no more than 750 blisters produced per figure. This means the 23-man pack is now limited to 4250 units. Paulo Ferreira, Frank Lampard, David Luiz, Fernando Torres, Gary Cahill, Obi Mikel, Oriol Romeu, Ross Turnbull, Ryan Bertrand. This may be the reason why Bosingwa has a blue base although I would imagine there are a lot more than 750 made! The other 13 players (14 inc. Bosingwa) will be detained by SoccerStarz and used in the future in some way to be decided. ARSENAL NEW SQUAD NUMBERS Wilshere will NOT be available in blister pack but will be released in blind sachets. Szcesny will be released within the next month (possibly in limited numbers). MORE INFO Hugh from SoccerStarz has told ...
Stats; Tony Mowbray will be without defenders Justin Hoyte and Stuart Parnaby, meaning Andre Bikey should start at right-back with Stephen McManus alongside Rhys Williams at centre-back. Josh McEachran, currently on-loan from Chelsea, is ineligible to play against his parent club. Up front Lukas Jutkiewicz (ankle) is a doubt for the game, and so Curtis Main is on standby to support Scott McDonald. Meanwhile, Rafa Benitez should continue with Petr Cech in goal ahead of second-choice keeper Ross Turnbull, despite his tendency to rotate goalkeepers in the cup. Ryan Bertrand is likely to replace Ashley Cole at left-back, though, with John Terry set to partner David Luiz at centre-back and Branislav Ivanovic to start at right-back after Benitez ruled out Gary Cahill (virus) and Cesar Azpilicueta (leg). Juan Mata is likely to be rested for the tie to give Oscar a chance whilst Fernando Torres should also return to Benitez's team. Source: Goal.com
CHELSEA: Cech; Ivanovic, Cahill, Luiz, Cole; Mikel, Lampard, Ramires, Mata, Hazard; Ba. There's no place for misfiring striker Fernando Torres, as Demba Ba is preferred in attack. John Obi Mikel starts in midfield, as does Frank Lampard. Juan Mata and Eden Hazard will be Chelsea's main sourced of creativity within the team. Gary Cahill and David Luiz are the centre-defensiv e duo, with Branislav Ivanovic and Ashley Cole completing the back four.
5 conclusions that I came up with from yesterday's match : 1) Chelsea need to have Hazard or Mata on the field. 2) Chelsea can't play without Lampard or Terry. They don't get any stability without them. 3) Fernando Torres is finally showing some applaudable improvements. Even if he's not scoring, he's helping the team. He was unlucky not to score yesterday. 4) David Luiz fits well in the midfield area. He can defend and attack both. 5) Oscar plays fantastically well when playing in the center. Wing is not his place.
A more lively Fernando Torres, who replaced Demba Ba in the starting XI, showed good awareness to play Ramires in on goal for Chelsea's opener, before Eden Hazard displayed a cool head to drill the Blues into a two goal lead following enterprising build-up by Cesar Azpilicueta. A poorly timed offside trap – Gary Cahill the culprit – allowed Shaun Maloney to scamper through and finish beyond Petr Cech but Rafa Benitez's team rallied and finished the job courtesy of Lampard and a late Marko Marin header. The Blues opened the scoring. David Luiz's pass from midfield in the 23rd minute was turned around the corner by Torres into the path of the overlapping Ramires. The Brazilian steadied himself as he entered Al-Habsi's box and coolly stroked the ball high into the net to give the hosts the lead. It was all too easy for the Blues. Wigan emerged for the second period sticking to its principles of controlled possession and for a moment it looked as if it might trouble a relaxed Chelsea. But the Latics found ...
Summary Stamford Bridge is smiling once again after two first-half goals proved enough to win this London derby against an Arsenal side who came back strongly after the interval. Juan Mata continued his run of scoring in every game he has started against Arsenal, netting early on, and Frank Lampard was yet again reliable from the penalty spot to double the advantage with quarter-of-an-hour gone of a game played in light snow throughout. Chelsea continued to play well up to the break but couldn't make the most of our chances. When Arsenal increased the tempo of their play after the break, our grip on the game slackened and Theo Walcott pulled a goal back. The Gunners continued to look the better side but it was more a case of pressure on the Blues defence than clear=cut chances, and Petr Cech was only occasionally called into action as our backline stood firm to secure all three points. Team news David Luiz was unavailable with a minor injury so Branislav Ivanovic came back into defence. Fernando Torres wa ...
VIDEO: David Luiz steals the show in this old interview after Fernando Torres scores his first goal for Chelsea -
Fernando Torres almost plays in Juan Mata, David Luiz almost plays in Oscar, Chelsea almost have a good chance. Almost.
Perhaps a book or a movie will highlight the complex handling in modern soccer. The players, the agents, the fees..now the owners have their own agenda..where does the fans and soccer as such field in this? Demba Ba has made a £7.5 million move from Newcastle to Chelsea The news that Demba Ba has completed his transfer from Newcastle to Chelsea has to be welcomed with a certain amount of enthusiasm. The Senegal international might not quite have the global superstar status of Radamel Falcao or Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but the striker most definitely knows where the goal is, the key trait for any centre forward. It is also a relief to see Chelsea get some business done early and not see any wrangling over transfer fees or personal terms drag negotiations into the latter part of the January transfer window. The signing of the excellent Gary Cahill 12 months ago aside, the last major transfers made by the club midseason were not confirmed until the very last hours of January when David Luiz and Fernando Torres w ...
Last mach Chelsea vs.Norwich . Our Chelsea won after Juan Mata great gol . :) In last few moments on the pitch came Nathan Ake.It was him debut in Premier Leauge. the highest score for this game was David Luiz . The worst, according to experts was Fernando Torres. We lose now only four points to Manchester City, and we have one meeting to catch up so the difference could change one points. :)
What We Learned yesterday: 1.Juan Mata is Chelsea’s most crucial and best playmaker. 2.Fernando Torres is showing consistency. 3.David Luiz belongs in the midfield. 4.Gary Cahill is Chelsea’s best CB. 5.Rafael Benitez has proven that he is the right man for the job. Do you agree? D.
Chelsea 8-0 Aston Villa Seven scorers supplied the eight goals with Fernando Torres setting the team on its way with a fine early header. David Luiz and Branislav Ivanovic made it 3-0 by the break and after the interval Frank Lampard scored his 130th Chelsea top-flight league goal to set a new club record. Substitutes Ramires, with two, and Oscar, also found the net, as did Eden Hazard, and we also had the luxury of one missed penalty. At the other end Petr Cech kept a clean sheet with a superb save on to the crossbar.

David Luiz, Eden Hazard and Fernando Torres are all in the Premier League team of the week.
Highlights of yesterday not in my report: David Luiz's two no-look passes, Fernando Torres' rabona cross, Joe Bennett's roulette turn.
Victor Moses, Fernando Torres, and David Luiz make ESPN's Premier League Team of the Week. Rafa Benitez is the Manager of the Week.
Chelsea 8-0 Aston Villa: Torres sparks Blues goal glut Chelsea made the perfect start to the festive period with a sensational 8-0 home win over Aston Villa to move into the Premier League top four. Fernando Torres gave Rafa Benitez's men a flying start with a stunning third-minute header before a David Luiz free kick and Branislav Ivanovic header made sure the points were safe before half-time. Two goals from Ramires and strikes from Frank Lampard, Oscar and Eden Hazard completed the emphatic scoreline after the break as the Blues matched their best-ever Premier League result to move up to third in the table. While this Christmas present came been gift-wrapped from Villa, Chelsea were scintillating in their attacking purpose and deadly finishing - and could have had more had Lucas Piazon not been denied from the spot late on. The biggest roar of the day was reserved for Lampard, who celebrated his 500th Premier League appearance with a wonderful goal struck from 30 yards in the 59th minute. The midfielde ...
Chelsea 3-0 Villa – HT: Villa have a mountain to climb in the Second Half as Chelsea head into the break 3-0 up. Fernando Torres strikes early with a powerful header before David Luiz produces a wonderfully-dipping free-kick to double the advantage. Branislav Ivanovic makes it three when he heads past Brad Guzan, after the USA ace had brilliantly palmed away an earlier effort.
3′ - Assist - César Azpilicueta (Chelsea FC) 3′ - Goal - Fernando Torres (Chelsea FC) GOAL! Fernando Torres gives Chelsea an early lead and it's a fantastic header from the Spaniard. Chelsea: Interesting statistics from 2012/13 Some assorted statistics: – With six goals each, Fernando Torres and Juan Mata are Chelsea’s joint top-scorers so far. Mata has, however, reached that mark after 4 fewer starts in the Premier League. – Mata also ties the assist category with Belgian Eden Hazard (6 each), with the two players occupying joint second on the overall list. Again though, Mata has started four fewer games. – Outside of the back-four, John Obi Mikel has the highest pass-success rate in the squad (89.9%). – Gary Cahill and Fernando Torres both win, on average, 2.6 aerial duels per game, the most amongst Rafa Benitez’s squad. – David Luiz averages more defensive clearances (5.3) per game than any of his teammates. – Luis also leads his side in intercepts per game (1.8). – Oscar is dribbled more than any Chelsea player (1.4/game). – Gary Cahill blocks more shots per game (1.7) than any player in the Premier League. – John Obi Mikel commits on average more fouls per g ...
Here's how we line-up today against Corinthians in the final of the FIFA Club World Cup... Petr Čech, Ivanovic, Cahill, David Luiz, Cole; Ramires, Lampard (c); Victor Moses, Juan Mata, Hazard; Fernando Torres. Subs: Turnbull, Hilario, Ferreira, Azpilicueta, Bertrand, Mikel, Saville, Oscar, Marin, Piazon. Can we do it?
David Luiz could prove to be Chelsea's Xabi Alonso for Fernando Torres...!!!
Chelsea cruise past Monterrey Chelsea eased into the final of the Club World Cup with a comfortable 3-1 win over Monterrey in Yokohama on Thursday. Juan Mata set Chelsea on their way with the opener in the first half and two quick-fire Second Half goals from Fernando Torres and an unfortunate own goal from Darvin Chavez earned the UEFA Champions League holders victory. Chelsea will now face South American champions Corinthians in Sunday's final. David Luiz, who started in an unfamiliar midfield role, created Chelsea's first chance of the game when his brilliant pass sent Eden Hazard in on goal down the left, but the Belgian curled his shot just wide of the far post. Monterrey almost gifted Chelsea the opener on 13 minutes when Severo Meza made a mess of a back pass and almost allowed Oscar to steal in before managing to clear the danger for a corner. From the resulting kick Mata picked out Branislav Ivanovic unmarked inside the box, but the defender headed his effort wide of the target. Chelsea did make t ...
Football - World Football Torres impresses as Chelsea reach Club World Cup final Club World Cup semi-final, Yokohama - Chelsea 3 (Juan Mata 17, Fernando Torres 46, Darvin Chavez 48) Monterrey 1 (De Nigris 90+1) Fernando Torres continued his recent bright spell of form as Chelsea booked their spot in the Club World Cup final with a 3-1 win over an outclassed Monterrey side in Yokohama. Juan Mata, Eden Hazard, David Luiz - who was in his element in a midfield role - and Oscar also showed their considerable class in a one-sided semi-final at a sparsely populated Nissan Stadium. The outgoing Champions League holders ran out comfortable winners with Mata (17), Torres (46) and a Darvin Chavez own goal (48) ensuring the English side of their final place against Brazilian side Corinthians in what comes down to the traditional final match of this tournament between the champions of Europe and South America. Jesus De Nigris benefited from Chelsea nodding off to score one minute into two added on due to stoppage tim ...
MATCH REPORT: MONTERREY 1 CHELSEA 3 Posted on: Thu 13 Dec 2012 SUMMARY On Sunday Chelsea will play for the right to be called club World Champions after a comfortable semi-final win in Yokohama. The Blues dominated almost all of the match&went into an early lead through Juan Mata who joined Fernando Torres as topscorer for the season on 11goals; that was until his compatriot netted his 12th moments after the start of the 2nd half. An own-Goal.completed the scoring on a night when we used the width of the pitch well&showed some bright imagination in attack. The Mexicans found it especially tough to live with Eden Hazard. Next up to test our improving form which has registered 3 wins in a row are South American champions Corinthians who were in the stadium to watch this game. TEAM NEWS Rafael Benitez opted to give David Luiz his 1st start in midfield having tried the Brazilian there for a short period at the end of the Nordsjaelland home match. Ivanovic moved to CB with Cesar Azpilicueta coming in to the si ...
MATCH REPORT: CHELSEA 6 FC NORDSJAELLAND 1 Summary A record Champions League victory, complete with some sparkling football, was not enough to see us through to this competition's knockout stages. The fact Juventus won at Shakhtar Donetsk means we finish third in Group E, and will now take part in the reformatted Europa League for the first time. It renders an impressive display at Stamford Bridge relatively meaningless, though we did for the first time score six in a Champions League fixture, with goals coming from a David Luiz penalty after both sides had already missed from the spot, two from Fernando Torres, who had not scored in a month, and one apiece from Gary Cahill (pictured below), Juan Mata and Oscar, following four goals in 20 second-half minutes after Nordsjaelland had pulled one back immediately from the kick-off. The result brings a first win for Rafael Benitez, but the night will be remembered as the one the previous season's Champions League winners bowed out for the first time at the gro ...
Positives First victory for Chelsea under Rafa Benitez. Great victory 6-1 Fernando Torres scored two goals and ended his goal draught ..he was good and inspiring tonight . Eden Hazard and mata and Moses played really well. David Luiz made less mistakes . Romeo and Ramires played well..defending was good Great save by Petr Cech. Think about the positives .please

And it’s largely been a tale of three penalties so far at Stamford Bridge. Nordsjaelland won the first, but Cech saved fantastically from Stokholm. The second went Chelsea’s way, but Eden Hazard failed to beat Jesper Hansen. Finally, a second spot kick was awarded to the hosts and David Luiz made no mistake, smashing it into the top corner. Fernando Torres then added a second with a smart run in behind the defence, but it remains 0-0 between Shakhtar and Juventus in Ukraine, which means that Chelsea will go out as it stands. Well HT at the Bridge Chelsea lead 2-0. David Luiz scored a penalty moments after Eden Hazard missed one. Fernando Torres scored just before the break good to see him back on the scoresheet. 0-0 in Shaktar. We have done our bit lets hope they do theirs. I am sure they will want to finish top of the group. Come on Chelsea!
Half time at Stamford Bridge Chelsea 2-0 FCN ..David Luiz scored from spot and Fernando Torres ended his goal draught... Good job. Three penalties in 45 minutes... David Luiz was successful..but Eden Hazard..failed to convert it ..same for Stockholm
Chelsea will be without Frank Lampard (calf) and John Terry (knee), with both expected to be available to face Sunderland at the weekend. Daniel Sturridge (hamstring) is also a doubt but could make the substitutes’ bench. Rafa Benitez has so far appeared to be keen to shake up the trio behind the misfiring Fernando Torres, with Victor Moses and Marko Marin both involved in recent weeks. However, with the Blues in dire need of a victory, the Spaniard could resort to the supporting three that started the season so well. For Nordsjaelland, Jores Okore – who has played every Champions League game for the visitors this season – will sit out after picking up a thigh injury against Esbjerg in November. Ramires, David Luiz, Patrick Mtiliga and Ivan Runje are all one yellow card away from incurring a suspension.
David Luiz is better striker than Fernando Torres in Chelsea Team.
Premier League, Stamford Bridge - Chelsea 0 Manchester City 0. Rafa Benitez's Chelsea earned a point against champions Manchester City but he was subjected to remarkable abuse from his new supporters as his first game as manager ended in a 0-0 draw at Stamford Bridge. A significant number of disaffected Chelsea fans chanted "f*** off Benitez, you're not welcome here" in the opening minutes as they made their feelings about Roberto Di Matteo's dismissal, and the decision to replace him with the Former Liverpool manager, explicitly clear to Roman Abramovich. Other Chelsea supporters held up 'Rafa Out' signs and chanted in support of his predecessor as the Spaniard endured one of the most hostile starts to a managerial reign in recent memory. It was only marginally better on the pitch as Chelsea struggled to create any noteworthy chances against City, with Fernando Torres a constant disappointment after his restoration to the starting XI in Benitez's first team selection. The draw means City sit one point be ...
Hey Chelsea Football Club, fire David Luiz and Fernando Torres | El Niño| while you're at it.
The Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo is likely to drop Fernando Torres and play Eden Hazard in a lone striking role in tonight's Champions League match with Juventus. With Daniel Sturridge apparently having suffered a setback in training, Hazard will play at centre-forward,David Luiz is set to partner Gary Cahill at centre-half, with Branislav Ivanovic starting at right-back and Ashley Cole returning at left-back, according to the Daily Mail.
Don't expect any Tiki-Taka Football tonight.. We gonna pack the bus.. Trust me!! Cole-Ivanovic-Cahill-Azpi that's my back-line .. David Luiz and Fernando Torres should be on the bench..
I know its tomorrow but I'm ready for Chelsea / Juventus Champions League. I support the Blues win, lose, or draw and that goes for both David Luiz and Fernando Torres. Supporters certainly can have their opinions but the amount of slagging off both Torres and Luiz on FB is not needed. Both Luiz and Torres wear the Chelsea shirt so I support them.
What We Learned From The Shakhtar Match : 7.11.2012 94' minute, corner to Chelsea, Juan Mata to take... "Mata's ball in towards MOSES and Chelsea have won it at the death, incredible scenes here at Stamford Bridge!". That was the final play of the night as Chelsea won 3-2 against Shakhtar. An incredible has shown us an array of things. Scorers : Fernando Torres (6') Willian (9', 47') Oscar (40') Moses (94') What We Learned : 1. David Luiz continues to be woeful. 2. Juan Mata continues sensational form. 3. That's what Champions are made of. 4. Mikel-Ramires is the best combination. 5. Torres still not at his best. 1. David Luiz continues to be woeful : Just as I say almost every match, Gary Cahill has to take over as the other centre-beck next to John Terry. Cahill is, to me, more composed and a more skilled player than Luiz. While Luiz charms us with his occasional goal and his character, we must look at Cahill as our main CB after Terry. David Luiz had another poor night and was careless in possession as ...
Chelsea Manager Talking Nonsense November 1, 2012 70 Comments An incorrect match-defining decision was witnessed at Stamford Bridge on Sunday which likely had a huge impact on the result. Manchester United only won the game 3-2 but if Fernando Torres has been sent off for kicking Tom Cleverley in the chest in the first half, when Chelsea were still losing 2-1, who knows how many goals United would have won by… Last night the two teams faced each other again. Whilst Chelsea resorted to playing the likes of Petr Cech, Juan Mata, David Luiz, John Obi Mikel, Oscar, Eden Hazard and Ramires, United played a team of second string players and youth. In fact, the only player to remain from Sunday’s first choice line up was Rafael Da Silva. “We wanted to show that Sunday’s game was really heavily influenced by the officials,” Roberto Di Matteo said after the game. How? By fielding almost your strongest team to scrape a 5-4 victory against United’s fringe players and kids? United took the lead three time ...
It finished 1-1 between Chelsea Football Club and Swansea City after 94 minutes of play in South Wales. It was a relatively boring match with few chances created and only 2 taken. Scorers : Victor Moses (61') Pablo Hernandez (88') What We Learned : 1. Without Mata, we struggle. 2. Without Terry, we struggle. 3. Gary Cahill is better than David Luiz. 4. Cesar Azpilicueta and Oriol Romeu are not yet ready to be starters. 5. Fernando Torres' inconsistency continues. 6. Victor Moses continues to impress. 1. Without Mata, we struggle : Juan Mata was rested v Swansea and it was only the second time this season that Juan Mata had been rested (QPR away), that match we drew 0-0 and following that match came Mata's stunning form. (Keep that in mind). With Oscar, Hazard and Moses the "trio" v Swansea, we lacked something in shape, size and form of Mata. We couldn't just surge forward and create opportunities which were limited in this match. We must find an alternative to Mata's creativity if we chose to rest him, b ...
CHELSEA NEWS! Chelsea welcome back Branislav Ivanovic and Fernando Torres after they served one-match bans during their side's midweek victory over Manchester United. David Luiz will serve a one-match suspension for reaching five domestic yellow cards for the season, meaning Cesar Azpilicueta could continue at right-back, allowing Ivanovic to partner Cahill in central defence. Ashley Cole (ankle) is a doubt, while John Terry continues his four-match ban after being found guilty of racially abusing Anton Ferdinand by the FA.
Chelsea left-back Ashley Cole is available after an ankle knock, while Fernando Torres and Branislav Ivanovic are back from suspension. Frank Lampard remains out with a calf injury and John Terry serves the final instalment of his four-match ban for racially abusing QPR defender Anton Ferdinand. Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo says Juan Mata's hamstring problem and and ankle injury for David Luiz means they are very doubtful for game at Swansea on Saturday.
Two goals down inside 12 minutes, the leaders fought their way off the ropes to level through Juan Mata (44) and Ramires (53) and were looking likelier winners until Branislav Ivanovic was sent off on the hour. But a second red card for Fernando Torres meant the end of any genuine attacking ambition, and substitute Javier Hernandez bundled a contentious winner (75) to haul United within a point of the leaders and give them a first league success at Stamford Bridge since 2002. Despite the result there was plenty in Chelsea's performance to reinforce their credentials as real title challengers, though they were handicapped by a haphazard start as United's £24m man Robin Van Persie made one goal and scored another. United's defence was under scrutiny before the game following another porous display against Braga in midweek, but it was a home back four missing John Terry which was exposed during the opening exchanges as Ashley Cole was repeatedly isolated and David Luiz too often in a different district to G ...
Fifa and those that nominate candidate for the ballon d or award must be crazy and stupid for not nominating any current Chelsea players for this award, players like Juan Mata, Peter Cech, Fernando Torres,David luiz for the award. Dis is totally ojoro. I hope Cristiano Ronaldo wins the award,
Manchester United defender Jonny Evans believes that referee Mark Clattenburg was right to send off Chelsea's Fernando Torres for diving
Chelsea FC vs Manchester United FC ( *** Club ) 2-3 Scorers, David Luiz own goal, Van Persie goal, Mata free kick goal, Ramires header goal, Chicharito goal, Match Facts, 1.Chelsea's Fernando Torres did'nt dive but given by the referee a second yellow, actually Johnny Evans must get that. 2.Chicharito's goal was a clear offside goal. Match conclusion, Last time referee Mark Clattenburg maybe a buyer of Manchester City, but this time, Manchester United maybe bought the referee's mind. So, Manchesters' sides really need their mommys(the referees), but next time at Old Trafford u will know what is pain...
Man United beat 9-man Chelsea with Chicharito offside goal, Chelsea accuse ref of racial abuse. Two questionable red cards and an offside goal helped Manchester United to their first win against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League since 2002. After an entertaining first half that began with a David Luiz own goal in the fourth minute, a Robin Van Persie goal to put Man United up 2-0 in the 12th minute and a brilliant Juan Mata free kick just before halftime to give Chelsea an injection of confidence, referee Mark Clattenburg made himself the star of the match after a Ramires goal equalized for Chelsea in the 53rd minute. First, Clattenburg showed Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic a straight red when Ashley Young went down as he was breaking towards goal in the 63rd minute. Just five minutes later, Clattenburg booked Fernando Torres for a second time for going down even though Jonny Evans caught Torres' shin with his boot. That got Torres sent off just as Chelsea were preparing to sub him out ...
Fernando Torres and David Luiz would do it again.Ose Chelsea
The Stamford Bridge in London hosts what could eventually prove to be the most gruelling EPL match for the season as Chelsea clash with Man U. It couldn't have come at a better time! Chelsea are still riding on the impetus generated from last year's somewhat fortitous Champions League victory but at the same time, did the right thing of signing Hazard and Oscar, who, together with Juan Mata, form a deadly attacking prowess that can destroy any team on the planet. The three, complimeneted by others such as David Luiz-who is solid in defence and Ashley Cole, are the main reason behind the Blues' good start to the season. If it had not been for the laxity and lucklustre approach of chief striker, Fernando Torres, Chelsea would have scored dozens of goals more than what they have thus far. On the other hand, Man U still grapple with defensive frailties, and that makes it very interesting coming up against the harzadous trio. That could be the major determining factor on Sunday. However, for their part, Manu U ...

In addition, only three players - David Luiz, Oscar and Fernando Torres - dropped below 90%.
Roberto Di Matteo said Friday that Fernando Torres may be at risk of burnout as the Chelsea boss prepares to ask the striker to lead the line for the Blues on Saturday. Torres looks set to maintain his record of starting every one of the European champions' games this season when they take on Norwich in the Barclays Premier League. The match is Chelsea's seventh in just 21 days, a punishing schedule that has seen Di Matteo take every opportunity to rotate his squad. He almost certainly would have rested Torres during the past three weeks but for an injury to Daniel Sturridge, who is the club's only other recognized senior striker. And Di Matteo admitted it was something he might need to address after Torres returns from the upcoming international break. "It's our seventh game tomorrow in 21 days and he's in good shape, he's very fit," Di Matteo said when asked if burnout was a concern. "But, certainly, it's something we have to look at." Sturridge has missed the last five matches with a hamstring injury, ...

Two goals from Juan Mata inspired holders Chelsea to a 4-0 victory over little-known Danish side Nordsjaelland in Champions League Group E on Tuesday. The Londoners went ahead in the 33rd minute when Fernando Torres robbed midfielder Enoch Adu and passed to Frank Lampard who deftly set up Mata to fire home with his left foot. Joshua John twice went close to an equaliser for the home team, forcing Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech into a spectacular finger-tip save on to the post in the Second Half. David Luiz then made it 2-0 with a venomous free kick in the 79th minute before Mata sidefooted the third goal in the 82nd. Ramires completed the scoring from close range with one minute to go. Cech's flying stop earned special praise from Chelsea coach Roberto Di Matteo. "It was a crucial save at that stage of the game," Italian Di Matteo told reporters. "When the scoreline is 1-0 it's always dangerous and they were committing players forward. "I think we were a little bit slow in the first half but much better in ...

Di Matteo: GETTING SET Roberto Di Matteo is not expecting major changes to his squad as they begin work for the 2012/13 season today (Thursday). The majority of the squad report back to Cobham as we begin a pre-season training programme that will also see us tour America and play in a friendly at Brighton before the Community Shield game against Manchester City on August 12. Di Matteo is looking forward to welcoming them, including the new faces, Eden Hazard, Marko Marin and Kevin De Bruyne, but does not expect too many other additions before the season's beginning, despite the departures of Didier Drogba, Salomon Kalou and Jose Bosingwa. 'Having lost those three players we still have a pretty experienced team,' the Italian said. 'Look at Petr Cech, John Terry, Gary Cahill, Frank Lampard, Ashley Cole, Branislav Ivanovic, Fernando Torres, even David Luiz, John Mikel Obi, they have played a lot of games and we still have an experienced team. But we are monitoring the market and looking at some different thi ...

LIVERPOOL VS CHELSEA FA CUP PREVIEW Didier Drogba and Former Liverpool forward Fernando Torres appear to be in competition for one central striking berth in the Chelsea line-up. Defenders Gary Cahill and David Luiz are out with hamstring injuries but Chelsea have no other injury worries. Long-term midfield absentees Lucas Leiva and Charlie Adam are Liverpool's only injury concerns. Striker Luis Suarez and captain Steven Gerrard are set to return after missing Tuesday's 1-0 defeat by Fulham. MATCH PREVIEW Chelsea coach Roberto Di Matteo, who has transformed their season since taking over from Andre Villas-Boas at the beginning of March, has a special affinity with the FA Cup and holds two records that can never be broken. His goal after 43 seconds for Chelsea in the 1997 win over Middlesbrough was the fastest scored in the final at the old Wembley and his winner against Aston Villa in 2000 was the last FA Cup final goal there before the stadium was demolished. Now he has the chance to become the third Ital ...
