FOR TRUE FANS,DONT MISS ON THIS ARTICLE,WE ARE THE STRONGEST TEAM... Chelsea are currently edging rivals Manchester City and Arsenal, while are good strides ahead of Liverpool and Manchester United. Some really sharp transfer business by boss Jose Mourinho saw Chelsea instantly fill all the voids in the team. The manager even claimed that he is done for the transfer window. Chelsea still have a lot of budget to spend after the marquee sale of maverick defender David Luiz, so we cannot solely rely on Mourinho’s words saying that there won’t be any more signings. Club legend Didier Drogba re-joined the club which now looks to have the quality on and off the pitch as well. Amazing Squad Depth Chelsea have a very deep squad. They have two first team players for each position on the pitch apart from a single Centre Back position. That is an absolutely strong position to be in, as they match Manchester City on the quality of the substitute players! If we establish a 5 man midfield consisting of Matic, Fabre ...

I tuned into my copy of the 2012 Champions League Final. You know, the one in which we beat Bayern Munich, in their own backyard, to win the trophy for the first time in our history. But one thing struck me, namely just how much the squad has changed. Take a look for yourselves:- Starting XI v Bayern • Petr Cech • Jose Bosingwa (gone) • Gary Cahill • David Luiz (gone) • Ashley Cole (going) • John Obi Mikel • Frank Lampard (going) • Juan Mata (gone) • Ryan Bertrand • Salomon Kalou (gone) • Didier Drogba (gone) Subs v Bayern • Ross Turnbull (gone) • Paulo Ferreira (retired) • Michael Essien (gone) • Oriol Romeu • Florent Malouda (gone) • Daniel Sturridge (gone) • Fernando Torres Gone - 9 Retired - 1 Going - 2 Futures in doubt - Bertrand, Romeu, Mikel, Now that is some turnover considering the game was a little over 2 years ago! source : www.chelsea.vitalfootball.co.uk

1st Didier Drogba, then Juan Mata, then David Luiz and now Frank Lampard also :'( w.t.f .I don't wanna live on this planet anymore :(
As if home defeats against Sunderland and Atlético Madrid weren’t enough to round off an unfulfilling 12 months for the Chelsea faithful, Arsenal’s FA Cup final conquest left plenty to be desired in terms of trophy success. Nevertheless, while Jose Mourinho works to turn his squad into a European powerhouse, the Blues can still find lots to cheer about. After all – the sun is shining, there’s a World Cup in Brazil on the horizon and fan favourite David Luiz has certainly kept his chin up. 1. Summer arrivals Chelsea fans have cause for excitement ahead of another hectic transfer window in west London, according to newspaper reports linking the club with a host of international names, as the search for a striker to properly replace Didier Drogba enters its third year. Diego Costa – that £32 million Atlético forward who buried the Blues last month – is expected to complete his move once he recovers from a torn hamstring and would be welcomed alongside goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois as more useful ...

“Eto’o is the only striker I have and he is probably 35″ – Mourinho José Mourinho has reacted angrily after reports emerged in France of the Chelsea manager making disparaging remarks, delivered in what he apparently considered to be a private conversation, over the quality of the forwards at his disposal. The comments were made last week in Nyon but reported as he and his squad flew out to Turkey for the first leg of their Champions League knockout tie against Galatasaray. Chelsea will come face to face with their former striker, Didier Drogba, at the Turk Telekomm arena on Wednesday and while that promises to be an emotional reunion, Mourinho has been left to rebuild bridges with Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto’o and Demba Ba after Canal Plus published a video on its website of him assessing the current crop. While Chelsea do not deny the authenticity of the quotes, they have stressed that the manager was unaware he was being filmed and was instead conducting what he believed to be a private and ...
Mikel boost for Chelsea against Galatasaray After two days of worries, Chelsea have received a triple injury boost ahead of their Champions League last 16 clash with Galatasaray on Wednesday with news that Mikel Obi, David Luiz and Oscar are all in Jose Mourinho’s squad list for the match in Istanbul. Luiz and Mikel missed Saturday’s 1-0 win against Everton through injury, while Oscar was substituted at halftime because of an ankle complaint. Mikel’s state is also a major concern for Nigeria as the country prepares to face Mexico in a friendly match next week. Mourinho was able to call on the trio for the first leg encounter with Roberto Mancini’s Galatasaray as the club revealed that the players have travelled to Istanbul, Goal reports. The Blues face the Turkish Super League champions in the Turk Telecom Arena but will be without January signings Nemanja Matic and Mohammed Salah, who are both ineligible to play, having featured in the tournament with their former clubs earlier this season. now for the blacks: Mario Balotelli, Didier Drogba, David Luiz (tsek h's black), Yaya Toure, Theo Walcott (ok.maybe not)
José Mourinho has set his sights on getting the best from his current Chelsea squad before delving into the transfer market – and history shows the Blues boss has a chequered record when it comes to player recruitment at Stamford Bridge. The 50-year-old, who has signed a four-year deal, inherits a Chelsea squad brimming with top-class talent, with David Luiz growing into a top Premier League player, Ramires starting to look a real force in midfield and World Cup winner Fernando Torres leading the Blues attack. Perhaps the most exciting proposition for Mourinho is his attacking trio of Eden Hazard, Juan Mata and Oscar, who at times were spell-binding in the Premier League last season, and, unfortunately for Chelsea’s rivals, will only improve with age. The Europa League winners have already been linked with a host of big names over the past few months, including Napoli striker Edinson Cavani, Fiorentina star Stevan Jovetić and Roma’s talismanic midfielder Daniele De Rossi. This Blues squad only nee ...

I will really miss the fans but they will always be in my heart."- Didier Drogba :: How many LIKES for their Loyalty?!! We Love Youuu!!! ktbffh
Didier Drogba left David Luiz with that free-kick technique as a parting gift...
Luiz passed his first real test in the Chelsea midfield with flying colours, showing skill, tenacity and an impressive range of passing. Capped a fine display with a Didier Drogba-esque free kick on the half-hour mark.Cahill was often the free man while Ivanovic took on Benteke, and for the most part enjoyed a trouble-free afternoon. Produced one fantastic sliding clearance to deny Benteke a simple tap-in after the break, though. Luiz was so calm and composed on the ball as he continued to show his brilliance and his Brazilian- ness. A world class freekick and a few brilliant balls from David show that he belongs in the midfield. Gary Cahill continues to impress at the back as him and Ivanovic worked well together to make Cech’s life easier. -jla
Didier Drogba has presented his former team-mates from Chelsea’s Champions League winning side with commemorative rings. The Ivorian icon presented John Terry, David Luiz, Ryan Bertrand, Branislav Ivanovic, Paulo Ferreira, Daniel Sturridge and Ashley Cole with rings similar to those worn by Super Bowl winners, at an event at a London hotel last night. Every member of the victorious Blues squad had been invited, but not all managed to attend for various reasons. The mood at the hotel must have been bitter sweet, considering the fact that Chelsea had just become the first Champions League holders in history to be eliminated from the competition after the group stage. And the Blues have seemed a far less potent force without imposing African legend Drogba to name in their ranks. It is no surprise that the club had hoped to bring the Shanghai Shenhua striker back to Stamford Bridge on loan just for a few months, only for Fifa to pull the plug on their plans. The rings are said to have set Drogba back to the ...

"David Luiz: "Didier Drogba and I almost had a fight when he got angry after I challenged him in training." x"
David Luiz has revealed that on one occasion he almost had a physical altercation with ex-Chelsea teammate Didier Drogba.
I hate it when Teams apportion blame on referees for their defeat. Chelsea,Man utd just like any other team have benefited from referee's decision before. THat's what makes the game very passionate. Here are several instances Chelsea has benefited from referee decisions in matches. 1. Chelsea vs Stoke City : David Luiz should have been given his marching orders for a cynical two footed takle on a Stoke City player precisely Jon Walters. Referee Chris Foy just handed him a yellow card much to the dismay of Stoke boss Tony Pulis. 2. Chelsea vs Tottenham Hotspur FA cup semi final: when Chelsea leading 1-0 were awraded a freak goal. Spurs, however, were left complaining bitterly that they were the victims of an injustice that swung the destiny of this all-London confrontation decisively in Chelsea's favour when referee Martin Atkinson made a crucial intervention just after the interval. Chelsea were leading through Didier Drogba's goal when Ledley King and Benoit Assou-Ekotto blocked Juan Mata's shot in a cha ...

Di Matteo: GETTING SET Roberto Di Matteo is not expecting major changes to his squad as they begin work for the 2012/13 season today (Thursday). The majority of the squad report back to Cobham as we begin a pre-season training programme that will also see us tour America and play in a friendly at Brighton before the Community Shield game against Manchester City on August 12. Di Matteo is looking forward to welcoming them, including the new faces, Eden Hazard, Marko Marin and Kevin De Bruyne, but does not expect too many other additions before the season's beginning, despite the departures of Didier Drogba, Salomon Kalou and Jose Bosingwa. 'Having lost those three players we still have a pretty experienced team,' the Italian said. 'Look at Petr Cech, John Terry, Gary Cahill, Frank Lampard, Ashley Cole, Branislav Ivanovic, Fernando Torres, even David Luiz, John Mikel Obi, they have played a lot of games and we still have an experienced team. But we are monitoring the market and looking at some different thi ...
Drogba did a remarkable job for Chelsea last night when he equalizes goal at 88 minutes and his wonderful penalty shot which gives Chelsea overwherlming victory, although most people are saying Chelsea survived the tournament, it is not worth while, Chelsea seems to have develope the skill of finishing when it comes to final matches. Didier Drogba will not go away from Chelsea even if he had similar idea initially. Players like Drogba, Mikel, Bosingwa, A. Cole, Ivanovic, David Luiz, Lampard,John Terry among others make Chelsea what it is. Long live to Chelsea, long live to Drogba
Frank Lampard paid tribute to Didier Drogba after savouring Chelsea's Champions League-winning night in Munich. The 33-year-old, who moved to Stamford Bridge from West Ham in 2001, hit one of the Blues' four successful penalties after the final finished 1-1 after normal and extra time. Arjen Robben missed a penalty in the first extra period on his and Munich's home ground before Lampard, David Luiz and Ashley Cole slotted from the spot ahead of Drogba's winning kick. Lampard, who captained the west London club for the night in the absence of the suspended John Terry, said: "I can't believe it. The determination we've shown... we didn't play fantastic but the main man Didier dug us out of trouble there. "He's a hero. Without him we're not here. He scores the goals in the big games. It means everything. "We've been so many years trying to do this. This is the one we really wanted and we've got it." Asked whether the win should lead to interim manager Roberto Di Matteo being given the job permanently, Lampar ...
Chelsea stunned Bayern Munich in a dramatic penalty shoot-out at the Allianz Arena to win the Champions League for the first time. Thomas Mueller's late header put Bayern on the brink of victory on home territory but Didier Drogba levelled things up with a bullet header at the death before coolly converting the decisive spot-kick. The tournament which gave Chelsea their greatest agony when they lost on penalties to Manchester United four years ago in Moscow has now delivered the greatest glory in their 107-year history. Juan Mata missed Chelsea's first penalty but David Luiz, Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole were all successful. Philipp Lahm, Mario Gomez and goalkeeper Manuel Neuer were all on target for Bayern. The momentum shifted decisively when Cech denied Ivica Olic and Bastian Schweinsteiger hit the post to leave Chelsea on the brink and present Drogba with his moment of destiny.

Roberto Di Matteo is "very hopeful" Gary Cahill and David Luiz will be fit for tonight's Champions League final against Bayern Munich, live on Sky Sports HD1/3D. Luiz has not played since 15 April because of a damaged hamstring, while Cahill suffered a similar injury during the second leg of the Blues' semi-final against Barcelona. But both have trained this week and are expected to form a centre-back pairing in the absence of suspended John Terry and Branislav Ivanovic. But boss Roberto Di Matteo has called untried teenagers Tood Kane, 18, and Nathaniel Chalobah, 17, into his squad "just in case". Jose Bosingwa and Paulo Ferreira vie for the right-back role, while up front Didier Drogba is favourite to start ahead of Fernando Torres. Midfielders Ramires and Raul Meireles are Chelsea's other banned players and another potential starter, Florent Malouda, has a hamstring niggle and is a doubt. Frank Lampard and John Obi Mikel are certain to play, while Michael Essien, Oriol Romeu and even Ryan Bertrand are ...

LIVERPOOL VS CHELSEA FA CUP PREVIEW Didier Drogba and former Liverpool forward Fernando Torres appear to be in competition for one central striking berth in the Chelsea line-up.
