Spent 4 days on a ward with 5 elderly ladies who stole my shoes and filled them with rich tea biscuits, yelled out at 3am that they were going to come back later and make the best chestnuts we had ever tasted, told me stories of life in the west end of London in the 50s and made general racist comments to anyone who looked vaguely different to white british. However I'm so glad it's done 5 hours in surgery very complicated with an amazing surgeon who I cannot praise enough.
