Ok. Ok.You are telling me that the Leafs traded David Clarkson before Tyler Bozak.
Leafs win!! The Leafs finally got into the win column tonight, defeating the New York Rangers 6-3, in a convincing performance. Cody Franson, Phil Kessel, Nazem Kadri, James van Riemsdyk, Tyler Bozak, and David Clarkson scored for the Leafs tonight. James Reimer was Rey good in net, but left early with an apparent head injury (though it sounds like he is okay). Leo Komarov and Mike Santorelli were also fantastic tonight, playing on a line with Clarkson. Until next time, GO LEAFS GO!!
"whether that be Stephen Weiss, David Clarkson, Tyler Bozak, Paul Stastny, whoever. And, yes, they likely will be 'overpaid,'"
Halfway through the season, Mikhail Grabovski has scored more points than David Clarkson and Tyler Bozak combined. I'd be upset if I were even remotely surprised.
With the signing of Dion Phaneuf to a contract extension, we now have the core team in place for years to come.. Dion Phaneuf, Phil Kessel, Joffrey Lupul, David Clarkson, Tyler Bozak and one of James Reimer or Jonathan Bernier. I hope the right calls have been made because if we win the Cup in the next few years, then this is the core group were gonna do it with. Lets go BLUE
If I were the GM of the Toronto Maple Leafs. (Or an advisor, or some guy shouting outside Leaf GN Nonnis bedroom window and he opened it to listen to me before calling the cops)... . I'm the opposition player skating down the ice on the Toronto defense. . Two scenarios; . One, the Toronto defense is as it is...status quo, or. I'm skating down the ice with my head up and my heart in my mouth cause there's a Scott Stevens or a Brian Glenney on the blue line waiting to 'TAKE ME OUT'! . Cody Franson & Carl Gunnarsson STAY Jake Gardiner & Morgan Rielly STAY . Dion Phaneuf ..great player...but if you play him greater than 18.76 minutes, his hands and feet turn to cement...FACT! Trade him, get something! . Paul Ranger, Mark Fraser (one of my favorite players), John-Michael Liles... thank you and good bye. . On forward positions... Carter Ashton - Stay (Boston type player) . Dave Bolland - Should he stay???...he will be the next Captain! . Tyler Bozak - Great for a third line center..keep . David Clarkson.. ...
It's Hockey Night In Canada! The Toronto Maple Leafs take on the Montreal Caanadiens for the 750th time. Lets see the Leafs have added David Clarkson, Jonathon Bernier, Dave Bolland resigned Tyler Bozak, Phil Kessel. Montreal added Daniel over the hill Briere and a big stationary tree George Parros. Who do you think is going to win tonight. Go Leafs Go!
Not done quite yet but TOR closing in on David Clarkson and re-signing Tyler Bozak,
Jon Bernier, Tyler Bozak, Dave Bolland, David Clarkson, Colton Orr, and Frazer McLaren should not be.
The Toronto Maple Leafs made a splash on the free agent market on Friday by signing David Clarkson to a seven-year, $36.75 million contract. The team also brought back their own free agent forward, signing Tyler Bozak to a five-year, $21 million contract.
Kinda sad we missed out on a Pascal Dupuis, Daniel Alfredsson, Vincent Lecavalier, Daniel Briere, Mike Ribeiro, Nathan Horton, Ryan Clowe, Tyler Bozak, David Clarkson, Viktor Stalberg or Bobby Ryan but don't worry cause we did sign Yannick Webber :( when do we get someone good please..
Time for my free agent update. First, the biggest surprise was Alfredsson leaving Ottawa. What? Second might have been Nathan Horton getting a seven-year deal, given his concussion history. On to Toronto. The Leafs overpaid somewhat for David Clarkson, but he was a good pickup and the Leafs can afford to buy him out the last couple of seasons if his performance tails off in his mid-30s. With re-signing former DU center Tyler Bozak, Toronto's top six looks very good. Here's what I'd try: Van Riemsdyk - Bozak - Kessel Lupul - Kadri - Clarkson Clarkson and Kessel are both right wings, and if you put them together, the other line has to play two left wings. I like Clarkson bringing some toughness to help out Kadri and Lupul, and JVR is a good fit with buddies Bozak and Kessel. Grabovski was better than a lot of people gave him credit for, but he wasn't a good fit here at $5.5 million so his buy-out made sense. Clarkson is surely a better match for the team at a similar salary cap hit, and won't cuss out Randy ...
Leafs fans need to realize that while David Clarkson is a real nice player 7 years for a player that plays the way he does is insane. Never mind the money, which is also fairly insane. Also this is the same Tyler Bozak that only put up a 45 point pace playing between 2 PPG wingers. He is not that good, and now locked in for 5 years.pay the extra 1.5M per year and get Mike Ribiero.horrible horrible deals.
David Clarkson has demanded 6M$ a year from the New Jersey Devils ! Tyler Bozak has demanded a 8-year 40M$ deal from the Toronto Maple Leafs , that's 5M$ a year ! - Sajib

A few rumors! -Maple Leafs GM Dave Nonis admits that he hasn’t gotten very far with contract talks with Tyler Bozak and Clarke Macarthur as he doesn’t want to tie up too much money. The Leafs have their eyes on Stephen Weiss and David Clarkson. -Senators could be interested in acquiring Micheal Cammalleri from the Flames. -There is a chance, Penguins will have to think about trading Letang , if they can't sign him to a long term contract with a decent cap hit. Like we said yesterday, Pens management does not want to give more him then 6m/year, while Letang is asking for something in the neighborhood of 7m/year. Good news for Pens is that Letang wants to stay with the team. -The Wild will make a few changes to their roster in order to make cap space, they currently have 6.7m left to resign starter Niklas Backstrom and bottom line forward Matt Cullen. -St Louis Blues GM Doug Armstrong warned his fellow GMs not to target his RFAs (Alex Pietrangelo, Kevin Shattenkirk, Patrik Berglund, Chris Stewart) with o ...
