Looking forward to with Dave Mason in the special tribute to Joe Cocker! . See you soon!
Had a great time at The Barns at Wolf Trap tonight. I criticize my own rock-and-roll education for not knowing that Dave Mason was not only inducted in to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Traffic, but also wrote some of the biggest hits for no less than Delaney and Bonnie ("Only You Know And I Know"), Joe Cocker ("Feelin' Alright") and, kind of incredibly, Jimi Hendrix ("All Along The Watchtower"). He closed with that tune, and rocked it. [ed: Too incredibly, it turns out – apparently he did not write Watchtower, but did play guitar on the version Hendrix recorded. Thanks, Ward.] A true legend, still cranking it out. Thanks for a fabulous concert, and thanks to Leslie for the invite and the ticket!
Michael...“SHARE” THIS LINK IF YOU REMEMBER THEIR ENORMOUS MUSICAL TALENTS, INFLUENCE AND WANT TO CORRECT THIS OBVIOUS INJUSTICE. Help to get Delaney & Bonnie & Friends in the Rock N Roll H O F. Download the attached letter and send it to the R & R H.O.F. Let your voice be heard! Their live shows were legendary, their direct influence on other’s careers is readily admitted. This historic duo were the catalyst who forced record companies to recognize that musicians had other musician’s as friends, who weren’t necessarily signed to the same record company as they were. It was “OK” for these “friends” to play live shows together and even to play on each other’s recordings, despite contractual concerns or obligations. Through this musical conduit, and around it’s magnetic field passed some of the most influential musicians of the decade. John Lennon, Plastic Ono Band, George Harrison, Dave Mason, Eric Clapton, Derek & The Dominoes, Joe Cocker, Mad Dogs & Englishmen, Leon Russell, Rita Co ...

Wow! Bonnie Raitt was in top form. I have never heard her better. She blew the roof off tonight. Best yet, Mike Finnigan on keyboards. Who is he you ask? Toured and sessioned for the likes of Jimi Hendrix, Joe Cocker, Etta James, Sam Moore, Crosby Stills and Nash, Dave Mason, Buddy Guy, Manhattan Transfer, Taj Mahal, Michael McDonald, Maria Muldaur, Peter Frampton, Cher, Ringo Starr, Leonard Cohen, Tower of Power, Rod Stewart, Tracy Chapman, Los Lonely Boys, and Destruments. Unbelievable! What craftsmanship. Amazing.
Review: Joe Cocker and Dave Mason deliver the goods at Ruth Eckerd Hall, Clearwater (w/photos)
This has been a blessed week for me & I didn't have to pass on a chain letter to do it. It started when Marlee called & said we were offered 2 free tickets to see Joe Cocker & Dave Mason and they were awesome seat. Then, Wolfe calls me last night with tickets to see Bret Michaels. That was a kick *** show, too & we saw a lot of our friends there. Including seeing a friend who I haven't seen in at least 10 years. Now, I have tonight to look so forward to. My love, friends & the most talented, professional & best friends a man could have.THE BOYZ OF BLACK JACK BOMBER. I truly feel blessed! (=
There is something about a night with Joe Cocker and Dave Mason
Last night I went and saw Dave Mason/Joe Cocker in concert. They were great. Joes voice was strong and better than ever.
Went to see Joe Cocker last night. Dave Mason opened for him. They were incredible!! Joe closed with "A little help from my friends" and brought down the house!! Great show!!
I'm still wiggin over last night's Joe Cocker concert. It was so cool when he had Dave Mason get up there with him to do Feeling Alright & acknowledging that it is Dave Mason's song. How cool is that? And Joe's voice is as classic as ever, screams & all. Killer band, too!
Joe Cocker has one of the truly great rock voices of all time! With hit songs such asWith A Little Help From My Friends, You Are So BeautifulandThe Letter,he’s been a major player in the music business for more than forty years. His unmistakable bluesy soul voice is a musical trademark in its own ri...
What a great night! Saw Joe Cocker and Dave Mason in concert. Was suprised, Joe Cocker still has a great voice even at 68 yr old! Probably sound better because he's not stoned all the time like in the 60's and 70's.
At the Joe Cocker/ Dave Mason show at Roth Eckerd Hall. Man there's a LOT of old people here. Not a soul under 50. Guess they don't hop hip
“Now Playing: Feelin' Alright by Joe Cocker, Who's the writter of this classic song? Dave Mason!
I rarely attend concerts, but really wanted to see Joe Cocker, but didn't want to spend what it would cost to buy 2 really good tickets. So my good friend, J.P., who is always winning contests/drawings, entered a contest online at the King Center Performing Arts to win a pair of tickets to treat me. (she is only 30 & not even a Cocker fan) Well, need I say this blessed friend won again & we saw him last night. A fantastic concert, with Dave Mason performing first. It's been a long time since I've loved a concert as much as Joe Cocker. Thanks Janell - I owe you big time - you're a true friend!!!
Wow! Joe Cocker rocked the house last night At The King Center! He still has it! And Dave Mason was great as well! I love rock and roll!!
Tonight we are going to Joe Cocker concert. Opening act is Dave Mason.
Big day today. We will be at the Center's Farmers Market this afternoon, and then seeing Joe Cocker and Dave Mason in concert tonight.
Just as I'm packing my gear for a "memorial campfire" for Daisy DeBolt, I hear about the passing of another phenomenal vocalist that I had the pleasure of working with. Kathi MacDonald was one of the all-time great female vocalists in rock, blues and R&B. She passed away yesterday, apparently slipped into a coma and never came out. She had an incredible resume, an Ikette at 19, part of Mad Dogs & Englishmen with Joe Cocker, Big Brother (post-Janis), recording with Delaney & Bonnie, Rita Coolidge, Nils Lofgren, Dave Mason, Freddy King, The Rolling Stones and a twenty-year collaboration with Long John Baldry. She spent a little time in Toronto and had a strong Canadian connection via Baldry who toured the world with her. Baldry's band always had a few Canadians, Papa John King, Butch Coulter, Al Webster and others including yours truly when I subbed for Papa John in Brampton (or was it Brantford). Kathi & John made some classic recordings and the bands gave some unforgettable shows. I toured Germany with Ka ...

His vocals the same..can hit high notes... rocked it..it felt likeI was in a time capsule. Totally awesome show. Just saying. =)
Up to Boca & to Judy's for excellent supper, then down to Hard Rock Resort & Casino in Hollywood, for Dave Mason & Joe Cocker show! There was a lot of energy and the audience seemed to be attuned to the it. These guys gave their all for us! I am glad I went.I had a hard time walking the distance, so I hopped on a jitney for a free ride to the exit, while Judy and Doug walked. .
Saw two rock & roll legends last night--Dave Mason and Joe Cocker. They played Feelin Alright together and Mason played All Along the Watchtower on the acoustic 12 string just as he did on the Jimi Hendrix recording. Still rocking in their 60's!!!
Joe Cocker.perfect on every high note and growl. And Dave Mason (Traffic) was excellent also. Great evening!!!
I've got 2 tickets for Joe Cocker and Dave Mason tonight at 7:00 at the amphitheater in St. Augustine. It should be a great show. Two great people. Will give a Good Deal if anyone is interested. Paid 140.00. Hate to miss Dave, he's my favorite, but just plain worn out from the wedding weekend.
