In December 1969, George Harrison performed with Delaney & Bonnie & Friends in the UK. On 1 December 1969, he watched Delaney and Bonnie Bramlett perform at the Albert Hall in London and joined them the following night on stage in Bristol. It was the first time he'd played in a concert venue since The Beatles' final concert on 29 August 1966. The tour consisted of dates in Birmingham, Sheffield, Newcastle, Liverpool and Croydon, although George was unable to perform at the show in Newcastle due to his Mother's illness. Footage is rare, but shows were recorded and released in 1970 on "Delaney & Bonnie & Friends On Tour With Eric Clapton." George Harrison was credited as "L'Angelo Misterioso." The "Friends" included Eric Clapton, Jim Gordon, Carl Radle, Bobby Whitlock, Leon Russell, Rita Coolidge, Dave Mason, Jim Price and the legendary Bobby Keys, who also played on All Things Must Pass and countless legendary recordings. RIP Bobby Keys - 18 December 1943 - 2 December 2014. Namaste; Nance ॐ

Michael...“SHARE” THIS LINK IF YOU REMEMBER THEIR ENORMOUS MUSICAL TALENTS, INFLUENCE AND WANT TO CORRECT THIS OBVIOUS INJUSTICE. Help to get Delaney & Bonnie & Friends in the Rock N Roll H O F. Download the attached letter and send it to the R & R H.O.F. Let your voice be heard! Their live shows were legendary, their direct influence on other’s careers is readily admitted. This historic duo were the catalyst who forced record companies to recognize that musicians had other musician’s as friends, who weren’t necessarily signed to the same record company as they were. It was “OK” for these “friends” to play live shows together and even to play on each other’s recordings, despite contractual concerns or obligations. Through this musical conduit, and around it’s magnetic field passed some of the most influential musicians of the decade. John Lennon, Plastic Ono Band, George Harrison, Dave Mason, Eric Clapton, Derek & The Dominoes, Joe Cocker, Mad Dogs & Englishmen, Leon Russell, Rita Co ...
From our Friend Ruud van Langen Ruud van Langen Nobody realises what kind of influence Delaney & Bonnie had, not only on fellow musicians (Eric Clapton, Duane Allman, Leon Russel, Dr. John, George Harrison, Dave Mason, King Curtis and many others). They were the first to cross the borders between black and white music and mix them, not only the sound but also the musicians who played. At the same time the audiences were confronted with this great black&white Rhythm&blues drained with gospel and country. And they loved it. *** what more do you have to do to deserve an induction in TH Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame. And this is only an opinion of one white older man from the Netherlands, who learned to know the music of D&B through Eric Clapton (after Blind Faith) and then discovered all the wonderful music of D&B and all the great musicians they played with. Their impact on my musical journey can't be described in words, just in "their" music.

an excerpt from wikipedia and a couple of songs."Delaney & Bonnie – in ensemble called Delaney & Bonnie & Friends – was a rock/soul revue fronted by husband-and-wife singer/songwriters Delaney and Bonnie Bramlett. The pair's "Delaney & Bonnie & Friends" incarnation was particularly influential, drawing in and in many cases helping shape the direction of such musical luminaries as Eric Clapton, Bobby Whitlock, Duane Allman, Gregg Allman, George Harrison, Leon Russell, Dave Mason, Rita Coolidge, and King Curtis."
