FT: Aston Villa 1-1 Man Utd My Verdict So our 6 game winning steak has come to an end but were still unbeaten which is good, Benteke's goal was class but dreadful defending from Evans and I agree Darren Fletcher didn't play great today, Mata didn't have a brilliant game but he played better in the second half, The red card in a way looked unfair but it's the referees decision and that's final, we didn't really create brilliant chances after that, Ashley Young played shocking crosses in the box in the final 10 minutes but one did ball off when Falcao headed in which was a great goal, in which you have to give Ashley Young credit for, apart from that it was a fair draw even though we had 70% of possession most of the game which we didn't take advantage of, Jones had a great game looking solid and all the other lads played alright today, we just have to move to our next game against Newcastle at home on Boxing Day and motivate ourselves for that game and hope for a win and obviously Believe! I dont kno what Ed Woodward and his board are waiting for when its just 6 days to the end of the transfer window. The likes of Chris Smalling,Tom Cleverley,Darren Fletcher,Ashley Young,Fellaini,Jones,,can not take Man Utd near the top four. They really need to strengthen the defence nd midfield with worldclass players.

Had to laugh at a Man Utd caller on 606 tonight & it wasn't a wind up call ... he was bemoaning the way Giggs had United playing today ... I think Darren Fletcher & Robbie Savage were a little bemused ... but it's shame at times you can't swear on the radio but it would have been justified. There was only one word to describe the guy preceded by the word total ... but I wouldn't use it on here ...
Preview & Predicted Line-Ups: Man Utd – Norwich By Tim SimonPosted on April 25, 2014 This screenshot was taken from the Squawka Football App – Download it here What a difference a week makes. This time last week, David MoyesManchester United were preparing for a game against Everton which would ultimately be the last game of his reign as Sir Alex Ferguson’s successor. After the Scot’s sacking, Ryan Giggs has been placed in temporary charge for the remaining four league games, starting with the weekend game with Norwich, and all of a sudden, the positivity around Old Trafford has made a welcome return. Giggs, United’s record appearance maker, has promised that the side he picks in his first game as boss, will play with a quick tempo against a Canaries team that are fighting for their Premier League lives. For Norwich and caretaker manager Neil Adams, Moyes’ sacking could not have come at a worse time. With tough games to follow their trip to Old Trafford, they would have seen this as a winn ...

Darren Fletcher on Man Utd team-mate Adnan Januzaj: "He's come into the team and he's been a revelation this season"
Another defeat for Man Utd (the first time in 13 years we have lost 3 games in a row.) Although this is a two legged game and we got the away goal, when you have injuries and your team is low on confidence this result does not help. When we are trailing he brings on Darren Fletcher and plays Ryan Giggs from the beginning, You don't bringing Hernandez with 3 minutes to go and expect a miracle. No wonder Wilfred Zaha is moaning and wondering why am I not in this team! Although we knew this would be a tough season for us and the team needed rebuilding, Moyes is quickly turning us into a laughing stock. Massive game Saturday now!
1414: Norwich City v Man United. Manchester United make five changes after edging Hull City 3-2 on Boxing Day. Wayne Rooney is replaced by Javier Hernandez up front. Rafael drops out for Nemanja Vidic in defence, as Michael Carrick, Ryan Giggs and Shinji Kagawa come in for Antonio Valencia, Darren Fletcher and Danny Welbeck. Norwich City boss Chris Hughton changes three players from the team that lost 2-1 at home to Fulham. Russell Martin and Ryan Bennett come in at the back for Steven Whittaker and the suspended Michael Turner. Wes Hoolahan replaces Johan Elmander further up the field. Norwich: Ruddy, Martin, Ryan Bennett, Bassong, Olsson, Johnson, Fer, Snodgrass, Hoolahan, Redmond, Hooper. Subs: Whittaker, van Wolfswinkel, Bunn, Elmander, Garrido, Becchio, Murphy. Man Utd: De Gea, Smalling, Evans, Vidic, Evra, Young, Cleverley, Carrick, Giggs, Kagawa, Hernandez. Subs: Anderson, Lindegaard, Welbeck, Fabio Da Silva, Fletcher, Zaha, Januzaj. Referee: Phil Dowd (Staffordshire)
It's a crazy game of football! Four goals in a spell of 25 minutes is what fans want but to either managers, it calls their defensive tactics to question. Moyes will sigh in relief however, he's tinkering of the squad is not paying off. Darren Fletcher and Tom Cleverley love moving forward and that leaves the defence of Smalling and Evans vulnerable. You will not expect to make comebacks against well organised teams. Man Utd are supposed to dismiss Hull City without question. Hull City 2-2 Man Utd

Man Utd team B (Sunderland) have just done it. Bravo Wes Brown, Badsley ( goal scorer), Darren Fletcher among others. Team A, its now ur turn to complete the day.
Have to say I had a chuckle about Fergie in his book Criticising Gerrard saying that he's not world class. Has he looked at his own midfield over the years?!?! Quinton Fortune, Darren Fletcher, Carrick, Andersen and Kagawa?!?!? Need I say more? I would have gerard over any of them any day! Only Schols and Roy Keane were anywhere near good enough to tie Gerards boots! I would go as far as to say I would have had Igor Biscan & Smicer over any of them any day! He goes on about Gerards encounters with Schols, but Schols too had his short comings! Really think it was a bad move Fergie and his book given the pressure Man Utd are in at the moment, goes to show you, all he cares about is selling his book in time for Christmas sales, and not about his team which he still has a job with.

Danny Welbeck, Javier Hernandez, Chris Smalling and Darren Fletcher will be amongst those hoping to be involved, having been benched or overlooked against Swansea. Man City v Man Utd (1330 GMT) As United legend Peter Schmeichel predicted earlier, Sir Alex Ferguson does decide to start with David De Gea between the sticks. The Spaniard, who has not played a Premier League game since the 3-2 win at Aston Villa on 10 November, replaces Anders Lindegaard, who is not even on the bench. Youngster Sam Johnstone is the back-up keeper. Ferguson makes two other changes from the side which won 4-3 at Reading last weekend - and they both come in his midfield. Tom Cleverley and Antonio Valencia start ahead of Darren Fletcher and Anderson, who both drop out of United's matchday squad.

Manchester United's Darren Fletcher "frustrated" at going behind against Queens Park Rangers
There was a great one against Man Utd (I think?) too. Darren Fletcher shot if I remember correctly.
Reply: Man Utd had to win us with an off-side goal! You have a short memory don't you?! It seems you have forgot Drogba's MASSIVE off-side goal at Old Trafford, a few years ago. That game was much CRUICAL than last nights. The EPL title was decided by that ill-decision as Chelsea won the game 2-1 and clinched the title in later weeks. While at (Stamford Bridge) United have suffered some terrible decisions in recent times, (to recall a few) i still remember Michael Carricks 'ball to hand' penalty verdict as Chelsea won the game. I also recall John Terry headed a late winner from a free kick at Stamford Bridge, the build-up to the goal was aided by a clear push to the ground challenge (I think it was on (Darren Fletcher) inside the box by (Didier Drogba) who was in a off-side position when the ball crossed the line, that challenge and the off-side incident went un-noticed by the officials - but I believe you won't remember any off these incidents, because either you were not a Chelsea fan those days or you' ...
