That's very interesting Dark Knight made so much money. Most people never even watched Batman Begins.
Yep. I still think Batman Begins was better than the Dark Knight and that the Joker was just ok. DKR? Bane had a dumb voice.

Heath Ledger's role as the Joker in the Dark Knight is honestly one of the best displays of acting
My night consisted of baking cookies, a key lime pie, and watching the Dark Knight. I'd day it was pretty successful.
Thomas Jane wasn't finished being awesome. Although, Joker's theme from the Dark Knight is distracting

Batman's transformative years are getting a few new twists. DC Entertainment is going back into Bruce Wayne's past to see how he began his transformation from wealthy socialite to the scourge of Gotham's criminal underworld. Key elements of the character's history are staying the same — the murder of Wayne's parents, for example — says Scott Snyder, the writer of "Batman" since its relaunch debuted in 2011. "It's not 'let's redo the origin,'" he said Monday. "It's time for a new story showing how Batman became who he is in the New 52." Snyder said the decision grew out of the success of the first year-and-a-half of DC's New 52, a sweeping reorganization of the publisher's characters that saw many given new origins and costumes that blended those from their first appearances decades ago with contemporary changes. Snyder said readers will see how the crime fighter found his calling and what challenges he faced when first donning the costume of the Dark Knight. The augmented origin begins June in the pag ...
Drunken ponder - Star Wars fans, Like this post and comment if you wish: Would you have preferred Universal Studios buying Star Wars and getting Christopher Nolan to remake the whole 6 original PLUS three final episodes, released every year, with an 18 certificate Dark Knight-esque but with swearing, sex and gore?
..if Joel Schumacher returned to the Dark Knight franchise...
Edgar Wright, Michael Bay, Bryan Singer, Jon Favreau, Eli Roth, Duncan Jones and Stephen Daldry. Of all the brilliant people Christopher Nolan could've screen the Dark Knight for, why the men who bring us giant fighting robots, Iron Men and the Hostel Franchise?
Film Censor Board in China is the most strict when compared to other countries..Their set of rules is very strict..Anything against the Chinese culture or society those films are banned forever for public screening in People Republic Of China..There have been many such cases where the country banned a particular film maker for 5 years for submitting his feature film to an International film Festival without the Government approval..Many foreign films including Dark Knight was banned in China since there were few scenes against Chinese society.
Big Bang Theory, a TV series about a bunch of nerds not intended for nerds. That show really puzzles me. Either I am a super-geek, or the show is targeted towards the fashionable geeks that are in it because it's in fashion. You know, the guys that remembered Zelda and Super Mario a couple of years ago and quote the Dark Knight's version of the Joker. You know, Nerdsters. "Oh, I understood what they said on TBBT, I am such a nerd." No, you just had Science 101 in your curiculum in college. Anyway, to the point. 5 Things the BBT writers should know. (that a geek knows) 1. Theoretical scientists do not make fun of engineers. In fact there is not much interaction between the two. 2. DnD is not the only RPG. 3. Same goes for Marvel and DC comics. 4. Same goes for Settlers of Katan and board games. 5. It is impossible to be a fan of every "geeky" activity as shown on the series. Being a geek means overcommiting. You cannot be passionate about everything. Try reading a single comic book series and you'll unders ...
Oh wait, that kid was in the Dark Knight. That's why Thomas Jane is talking to him in *Batman voice*
Today we're watching Legends of the Dark Knight. The only thing that spoils the episode is the mean spirited swipe at Joel Schumacher.

Batman the Dark Knight Rises has to be one of the best movies ever.. i think im about to watch it
I'm not a huge fan of Dark Knight (Rises), but it's true that many films are overlooked by Academy. Some for being blockbusters.

Marvel is taking a similar approach with Joss Whedon and the Marvel universe. Give authority to one creator who can create...
I was thinking of ways to revive the joker and I realised that without Heath Ledger there's no way. I mean if they used a different actor it just wouldn't be the same. I don't feel like the Dark Knight was ended by the last one it left you at such a cliffhanger. And who's to say that Robin James Blake is actually Robin? Why be a superhero with the same alias as your real name? I swear if Nolan doesn't start a new movie series with that I'm gonna be upset lol. That ending has so much potential for a contnuation. ~Freakshow

A rumor has been circulating since yesterday that Warner Bros. has made Christopher Nolan the overseer of all DC related movie projects. Further, Latino Review has a source claiming that Christian Bale will be starring as Batman alongside Henry Cavill's Superman in an upcoming Justice League film. As much as I'd like to see a JLA movie, I'm extremely skeptical that this will actually happen. I don't think the universe that Nolan created for Batman is the right one to support the idea of a Justice League because of its reliance on a more plausible sense of realism. I'm also not entirely sure how they would explain the transition given TDKR's ending. I can't imagine Solomon Grundy, Gorilla Grodd, or Darkseid existing in the same world as Batman. Unless the idea would be to shake that world up. That could actually be a very cool premise. It would be interesting to see how the Dark Knight responds to these new alien threats and how he has to evolve to meet the challenges they pose. If a JLA movie really is go ...
I love his review of the the Dark Knight Rises trailer w/ him mimicking the voices of Bane, Batman, and Catwoman. LOL!
Dark Knight and Dark Knight Rises are both my favourite films I can choose one. Batman Begins is equally as good. People forget.
Adolf Hitler. Charles Manson. Khadi'jia Johnson. Jeffrey Dahmer. That guy that shot up the Dark Knight premier.
Aaron Eckhart went from District Attorney and burning his face in Dark Knight to being President of the United States in Olympus Has Fallen!? Good career move Harvey Dent.
Listened to the Rush Limbaugh show today. A guy called and said he thought Obama just wanted to DESTROY America. Rush said he could wrap his mind around that concept, that it was just liberal policies. As smart as Limbaugh is he is naive and so is Bill O'reilly on FOX. There is something that they do not understand and I only understand it because I watched the "Dark Knight" so many times. Movies sometimes are way ahead of real life. Obama is sick. There really are sick men like the JOKER. And as Alfred explained to Batman..."Some men just want to watch the world burn!"
On tap for 2013: busting loose in 'Superman Unchained' and meeting the Dark Knight in new 'Batman/Superman' Sleepless nights crafting the adventures of Batman have been commonplace for writer Scott Snyder. He can expect more insomnia penning that other favorite character of his: Superman. This year, which marks the 75th anniversary of the Man of Steel, will celebrate the granddaddy of all superheroes in a number of ways. A new movie, Man of Steel, stars Henry Cavill as the cape-clad hero and arrives in theaters June 14. And DC Comics is putting some fresh eyes on the big, spit-curled guy standing for truth, justice and the American way. Snyder teams with artist (and DC co-publisher) Jim Lee for an all-new Superman Unchained series beginning June 12, and that same month sees the debut of Batman/Superman by writer Greg Pak and artist Jae Lee that will show the earliest meeting between the company's two iconic heroes. "We're all fans and we've all known this character for a long time," Jim Lee says. "You hav ...
Christian Bale is in talks to reprise his role as Batman in DC's upcoming Justice League movie, Christopher Nolan will oversee the project, and Man of Steel-helmer Zack Snyder will produce - and possibly direct - if a new report from Latino Review is to be believed. The website claims that Nolan is now in charge of the entire DCU at Warner Bros., and is in discussions to act as a sort of Godfather to the project, as well as produce alongside Zack Snyder. The studio allegedly wants the film to be set in the same universe as Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy, which naturally means a return of Bale's Batman. Not only that, but Justice League would also tie in with Snyder's gritty Man of Steel, which means - you guessed it - Bale's Batman and Henry Cavill's Superman would appear in the same universe, in the same movie, at the same time. As the website correctly notes, Bale wouldn't be against reprising the role, as long as the story was right. "I would love the challenge of making a fourth one work," he told Empire ...
if the rumors hold true the greatest filmmaker of our time, Christopher Nolan, will godfather Warner Bros. Justice League film and Christian Bale may yet again don the cape and cowl of the Dark Knight.
I wouldn't mind seeing Bale back as the Dark Knight for the 4th time —
Oh man!!! I don't think the Dark Knight can rise from what I discovered in Stevens Batman underwear before!!!

What a year. There were so many great movies in 2012 that I had a lot of trouble narrowing it down to just five, but I feel like all of these films will endure. We are lucky to get good movies, but if a movie has staying power, that's truly special. I want movies that we'll be able to enjoy 20 years from now, and 2012 gave us an uncanny amount of memorable cinematic experiences. We were treated to new films by several of the best filmmakers. Paul Thomas Anderson delivered his follow-up to 2007's There Will Be Blood, Martin McDonagh's sophomore effort proved to be even crazier than his debut, and Joss Whedon gave us the rock 'n' roll anti-thesis to Nolan's Dark Knight gloom-and-doom. We even got to see a Bond flick through the lens of Roger Deakins. What more can you ask for? Honorable mentions: The Master, Killer Joe, Seven Psychopaths, Beasts of the Southern Wild, Bernie, Killing Them Softly, Dredd, The Avengers, The Raid, Skyfall 5. The Cabin in the Woods makes big promises early on and ...

Maggie Gyllenhaal's performance in Dark Knight is so irritating it wouldnt surprise me if Christopher Nolan actually blew her up.
Doing some reorganizing, can't believe how marvelously random my movie collection is. You got your James Bonds next to your John Candy and Will Ferrel flicks, throw in Lady & the Tramp, The Iron Lady, the Dark Knight trilogy, Back to the Future trilogy, My Cousin Vinny, some John Waynes, Bob Hopes and Schwarzeneggers, Wedding Crashers, The Hunt for Red October, the Best of The Cosby Show.I could go on.
Why why why did they replace Katie Holmes in the Dark Knight trilogy? She's way hotter than Maggie Gyllenhaal and a better actress
Kevin Conroy will always be THE Batman. They should make a redux of the Dark Knight trilogy (
SPOILER ALERT: If you have not read BATMAN, INCORPORATED and do not wish to know what happens, stop reading this post now (MAJOR spoilers ahead!) From the creative team of writer Grant Morrison and artist Chris Burnham, BATMAN, INCORPORATED serves as the pinnacle of everything Morrison has been planning since the launch of this series – and the conclusion of Damian’s story. Earlier this week, Morrison shared an essay reflecting on the seven years he has spent writing the Dark Knight. Within that essay, he discussed the overarching theme of his entire Batman opus: “This master theme of damaged and ruined families was nowhere more in evidence than in the creation of Damian, the first ‘Son of Batman’ to be acknowledged in the canon. In many ways this has been Damian’s story as much as it has been the story of Bruce Wayne and it’s a story that had its end planned a long time ago - for what son could ever hope to replace a father like Batman, who never dies?” In “The Boy Wonder Returns,” Da ...

So many great films in 2012. Les Miserables was one of the greatest films I've ever seen. Lincoln was deeply moving. He was the right man at the right time. Les Mis and Lincoln are both HIGHLY recommended. Avengers was a ton of fun. The Hobbit was also a lot of fun - so good to get back to Middle Earth! The Dark Knight had multiple layers of depth - way too heavy for a pop-corn film but one of those movies you could talk about for a long time after seeing it. Politically, physiologically, religiously, and culturally it had so much going on. Good film. Life of Pi was fun as well and a good conversation starter but it took itself way too seriously. It won best special effects I believe and it should have. Best effects I have ever seen. Loved the new James Bond and was surprised that I enjoyed the new Spider-man. I also really enjoyed Jon Carter - it wasn't what I expected but it was a throw back to the old Flash Gordon and Buck Rogers black and white serials. If you can only see one flick you should go with ...

Moonlight movies tonight at MishMash. 'Batman:The Dark Knight Rises' will be showing. It has been eight years since Batman vanished into the night, turning, in that instant, from hero to fugitive. Assuming the blame for the death of D.A. Harvey Dent, the Dark Knight sacrificed everything for what he and Commissioner Gordon both hoped was the greater good. For a time the lie worked, as criminal activity in Gotham City was crushed under the weight of the anti-crime Dent Act. But everything will change with the arrival of a cunning cat burglar with a mysterious agenda. Far more dangerous, however, is the emergence of Bane, a masked terrorist whose ruthless plans for Gotham drive Bruce out of his self-imposed exile. But even if he dons the cape and cowl again, Batman may be no match for Bane.. Entrance fee is 5,000/= only (comes with free popcorn). From 7pm.
"Batman & Robin's" Future SPOILER WARNING. All good things must come to an end. But even as DC Comics is gearing up for a finale to Grant Morrison's run with Batman, that doesn't mean the twists and turns coming in his "Batman, Incorporated" comic will put a stop to other parts of the Batman line. Today, the publisher leaked the news that as part of his "Incorporated" finale, Morrison will kill off Damian "Robin" Wayne -- the son of Batman he created when he started this journey nearly eight years ago. But even as Damian is on his way out, it won't mean cancellation for the monthly "Batman and Robin" title. As DC writer Peter Tomasi revealed exclusively to CBR News, the future of "Batman and Robin" will not only involve stories dealing with the emotional fallout of the death of its costar. It will also welcome other players from the Dark Knight's world in a kind of Batman team-up format, starting with Red Robin Tim Drake. Below, Tomasi explains his own feelings at hearing of Damian's planned end, explains ...

I had a dream last night that I found a 5-part comic book called "Doom of the Dark Knight", in which Batman faced off against Doctor Doom in a Marvel/DC crossover written by Stan the Man Lee himself. I was severely disappointed when I woke up in a world without that story.
As surprising as it may seem making bad superhero/comic book movies is not a holly wood trend limited to the last 20 years or so – actually they usually managed to screw the pooch almost every time they tried which is what made the success of films like Superman or the Dark Knight a surprise. Still for each good or decent film there are a lot of films like Behind the Mask. This 1946 B film is the third of a series of films featuring The Shadow. For those not quite massively into obsessive knowledge of popular culture in the 30’s and 40’s the Shadow was a very popular radio show with its trade mark opening “who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? The Shadow knows.” This observation was followed up by a low sinister laugh. The Shadow had the power to cloud men’s minds so they couldn’t see him – only hear his voice or feel the business end of his fists. He was aided by – and they always said this – the lovely Margo Lane who was the only one who knew the Shadow’s real identity of ...

The Dark Knight is a 2008 superhero film directed, produced, and co-written by Christopher Nolan. Based on the DC Comics character Batman, the film is the second part of Nolan's Batman film series and a sequel to 2005's Batman Begins. Christian Bale reprises the lead role of Bruce Wayne/Batman, with a returning cast of Michael Caine as Alfred Pennyworth, Gary Oldman as James Gordon and Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox. The film introduces the character of Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart), Gotham's newly elected District Attorney and the consort of Bruce Wayne's childhood friend Rachel Dawes (Maggie Gyllenhaal), who joins Batman and the police in combating the new rising threat of a criminal mastermind calling himself "The Joker" (Heath Ledger). Nolan's inspiration for the film was the Joker's comic book debut in 1940, the 1988 graphic novel The Killing Joke, and the 1996 series The Long Halloween, which retold Two-Face's origin. The nickname "the Dark Knight" was first applied to Batman in Batman No. 1 (1940), in ...
Well so far in 2012 the movies I saw we're Lincoln, Avengers, Hobbit, Dark Knight, Spider Man, prometheus, Men in Black 3, Rock of Ages, Ted, Argo, Hunger Games, Red Tails, Skyfall, haywire, Cirque du Soleil , underworld the awakening, the grey, Django, Jack Reacher, 0 dark 30, killing them softly, silver linings playbook, The Life of Pi 3d, the best Exotic Marigold Hotel, battleship, transformers , dark shadows, movie 43 , wonderlust,The Vow . Serious question, how do you ladies watch Mob Wives and enjoy it? Close your eyes and listen to Big Ang speak i swear i thought she was Christian Bale in the Dark Knight.
Christian Bale said he's gonna thank me when he wins and Oscar for Dark Knight!!
Watched the Dark Knight today. Seriously, it wasn't that good. Why all the hype?
Now that the game is over, back to the Dark Knight marathon. Still amazed that The Dark Knight Rises didn't get nominated for Best Picture. No, not surprised. Disappointed.
Revised Comiccon status, I can think now: we met, talked and photo with - Shawn Patrick Flanery, David Della Rocko, Michael Rooker and of course Norman Reedus. We met and talked with Henry Winkler and saw Brent Spiner, Morena Baccarin, James Hong, Sarah Underwood, James Marsters, Jason David Frank and Garcia Twins. Pics with Chewbacca and the Dark Knight. Michael and David's autographs as well! We had the best time. Can't wait to maybe go to the big one in San Diego.
Always gives me shivers when Jim Gordon says "a Dark Knight"
I am someone who idolize Joker from Dark Knight... and listen to Joker by Hatsune Miku (and Maria&Joker by Nana Mizuki) and want to become more like Kumagawa who is a Joker... who was in love with Anshin'in-san who was also considered as Joker and wanted to posses the power of Joker Undead and ability to transform into Kamen Rider Joker... and summon Joker Persona, while wearing paper bag mask used by JOKER from Persona 2

BATMAN movie serial (1943).First big-screen adventures of the Dynamic Duo is a typical movie serial disappointment. Costumes and sets look cheesy, the acting is subpar even for a serial. Not to mention just a WEE bit racist (even the narrator refers to the Japanese as "slanty-eyed"). This should be seen just to keep pace with Dark Knight cinematic history. Bereft of the budgets and storytelling ingenuity Republic Pictures brought to their chapter plays, Columbia's first stab at DC Comics' Batman franchise is a drab, exceedingly repetitive bore, with J. Carroll Naish's "oriental" villain Prince Tito Daka dreaming up some of the most inane--and easily survivable--traps for heroes Batman (Lewis Wilson) and Robin (Doug Croft), who change clothes so frequently in odd places together (in the backseats of cars, in alleyways, even behind trees!) that it's not surprising Frederick Wertham would later blow a head valve over this stuff. *** Bruce Wayne's "excuses" for missing time with girlfriend Linda Page (Shirl . ...

Something to think about! I have seen this same information about the Sandy Hook shooting and other shootings "The Hunger Games" Add your comments to it! God bless those who lost someone within the recent shootings or any issue. (Jon Rappoport) The confirmed discovery that at 1hr:58 of the Dark Knight Rises, Commissioner Gordon is pointing to the words “Sandy Hook” on a map of the Gotham area has caused a storm of interest. As it should–since 27 people were just killed at the Sandy Hook Elementary School, and in the Dark Knight film, “Sandy Hook” is indicated as a target for attack. Unless, of course, one wants to believe this is merely a boggling coincidence, one that accidentally ties the Batman Theater Massacre to the Connecticut school massacre. In that case, add to the list of coincidences the fact that Suzanne Collins, the author of “The Hunger Games”, in which 23 children are ritually sacrificed in arena competition, lives in Newtown/Sandy Hook, and in real life someone(s) just kille ...
firs movie since Dark Knight Rises. Kai Po Che is a really good one.
Which Batman movie are you on? I really liked Batman Begins even though it kind of gets forgotten after Dark Knight and DK Rises.
Okay, we all know Kevin Conroy will forever be the voice of Batman. But who else do you think has done the Dark Knight justice? I personaly like Peter Weller(dude is Robocop, cmon!) and Jeremy Sisto. Great Bat-voices.
The Dark Knight Rises is a good movie, it's a a great movie... But the Dark Knight... It's a MASTERPIECE. It's the "Return of the Jedi" of our generation.
The Batman is a 2016 American superhero film directed and produced by John Albright, who co-wrote the screenplay with Nathan Blake. It is based on the fictional DC Comics character Batman and is the second reboot of the eponymous franchise. The film stars Jon Hamm, Christopher Plummer, Guy Pearce, Brooke Burns, Danny John-Jules, Bryan Cranston and Michael C. Hall. The film retells the origin story of the character while drawing many elements from various Batman comic book publications and storylines such as Earth One, Gotham Central and Year One. The reboot was initally planned before Christopher Nolan's final installment in his Dark Knight trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises, was even completed. Nolan originally stated that he would be the producer of the planned reboot along with his wife Emma Thomas, but later in 2013, Nolan redacted his statement, saying that "Bruce Wayne's story has, for me at least, been completed." Up-and-coming filmmaker John Albright later signed on to be the reboot's director, produc ...
Helen Hunt was great in The Sessions, but nominating her not John Hawkes is like nominating Morgan Freeman not Heath Ledger for Dark Knight.
Christian Bale is known for his powerful portray as Batman in the Dark Knight movies, but the actor was soft and loving as he took his family for a Japanese lunch in Los Angeles Monday.
The one thing that makes most since to me The only thing that gives my life current purpose That thrill, that long awaited feeling to fight With blade in hand i go to the field and watch Discord all around, that lust for battle rages inside me, and the erge to destroy burns ones soul with a passion so strong, god fears it Rise warrior, for its time to fulfill your purpose. Go, destroy your enemies and fight for the heart you now serve. Set your soul free into the chaos that is battle and witness the ever bliss of destruction. Be the blade that opens dispair and be the sheild that protects her love Prove that ur heart is stronger then chaos itself Open the gates and let her know her true knight. The one that conquered extintion and gave into the darkness to protect the world from its catastrophic power Show her the twilight, the shadowy shine that made you She will see the love you have for her and she will guide u to the Void, the peace of contentness that you see that she can give. Be her Dark Knight, he ...
Too bad Christopher Nolan won't do anymore Batman movies. I think it would be really interesting, and I would love to see one more with other villains. Batman Begins had Scarecrow and Ras Al Ghul, Dark Knight had Joker and 2Face (aka Harvey Dent), and Dark Knight Rises had Bane and Talia Al Ghul. I think there should be one with Riddler, Penguin, Poison Ivy, or maybe even Mr Freeze.
Until Heath Ledger's Dark Knight win, Peter Finch was the only actor to be awarded an Academy Award posthumously.
Does the Dark Knight have any other Batman villain shout outs? I know Batman Begins had the Zsasz cameo & TDKR has Killer Croc
Wow! Overnight we picked up three new fans. Now lets catch-up again with our countdown. 1989's top three grossing movies were No. 3 Marty travels to the year 2015, yes just three years from now, will our cars learn to fly by then and will we swap skate boards for hubberboards, we will see. BACK TO THE FUTURE II. In the No. 2 film of the year Batman goes from the comedy character we knew from the 1960's TV series to the Dark Knight in BATMAN, and the No. 1 film of the year 1989 was our last chance to see Dr. Jones until 2008 INDIANA JONES AND THE LAST CRUSADE. Also on a historical note this was Oak Grove's first football State Championship defeating Haynesville 28-0 in the Louisiana Superdome. 1990 was the year of the chick flick with two of the top three being some of the most played DVD's/VHS tapes in many ladies home video libraries. No. 3 we meet Sandra Bullock as a call girl in PRETTY WOMAN, No. 2 Macaulay Culkin pulls no stops dealing with the burglars in HOME ALONE and the No. 1 movie of the ye ...
I will be dvding it tonight. Superman or Batman(Nolan & Bale) marathon. Not sure which, leaning towards the Dark Knight.
SkyFall is every bit as exciting as it was in the theater. I really love this movie. May have even been my over Dark Knight. Yes. I said that.
