A rumor has been circulating since yesterday that Warner Bros. has made Christopher Nolan the overseer of all DC related movie projects. Further, Latino Review has a source claiming that Christian Bale will be starring as Batman alongside Henry Cavill's Superman in an upcoming Justice League film. As much as I'd like to see a JLA movie, I'm extremely skeptical that this will actually happen. I don't think the universe that Nolan created for Batman is the right one to support the idea of a Justice League because of its reliance on a more plausible sense of realism. I'm also not entirely sure how they would explain the transition given TDKR's ending. I can't imagine Solomon Grundy, Gorilla Grodd, or Darkseid existing in the same world as Batman. Unless the idea would be to shake that world up. That could actually be a very cool premise. Christian Bale is in talks to reprise his role as Batman in DC's upcoming Justice League movie, Christopher Nolan will oversee the project, and Man of Steel-helmer Zack Snyder will produce - and possibly direct - if a new report from Latino Review is to be believed. The website claims that Nolan is now in charge of the entire DCU at Warner Bros., and is in discussions to act as a sort of Godfather to the project, as well as produce alongside Zack Snyder.   What a year. There were so many great movies in 2012 that I had a lot of trouble narrowing it down to just five, but I feel like all of these films will endure. So many great films in 2012. Les Miserables was one of the greatest films I've ever seen. Lincoln was deeply moving. He was the right man at the right time. Les Mis and Lincoln are both HIGHLY recommended. Avengers was a ton of fun. The Hobbit was also a lot of fun - so good to get back to Middle Earth! The Dark Knight had multiple layers of depth - way too heavy for a pop-corn film but one of those movies you could talk about for a long time after seeing it. Politically, physiologically, religiously, and culturally it had so much going on. Good film. Life of Pi was fun as well and a good conversation starter but it took itself way too seriously. It won best special effects I believe and it should have. Best effects I have ever seen. Loved the new James Bond and was surprised that I enjoyed the new Spider-man. Too bad Christopher Nolan won't do anymore Batman movies. I think it would be really interesting, and I would love to see one more with other villains. Batman Begins had Scarecrow and Ras Al Ghul, Dark Knight had Joker and 2Face (aka Harvey Dent), and Dark Knight Rises had Bane and Talia Al Ghul.
