My new Colombian friend is a master manifestor. I thought I had it like that until I met her. She also went to the Dalai Lama so you know her consciousness. At the Dalai Lama event, she prayed to travel more than minutes later (vortex) she befriended someone with American Airlines buddy passes and now just got back from Florida on her free trip. Is booked for Brasil and is going to Bali all free. WHATTT! I am riding on the vortex allowing my open receptivity to be the vessel for free travel and more. First stop Miami, than New Orleans than the world. I would also like to go to Italy, Hawaii, Bali, Thailand and Curacao this year for starters. Thank you, Laura for opening me up to be even more open to my infinite good. Laura says, her secret is 1) knowing her infinite capacity to co-create by our divine birthright, 2. staying in vortex of positive energy and 3. being of service. She actually volunteered to help assault victims and she was so good they ended up paying her and she is working 1/4 hours they pa ...

From my friend Sherrie Vitello , she has explained exactly how I feel. Ok so I was asked why I don't believe in the whole relationship with churches or going to church. First off.. I have nothing against those who find solace or peace by going to church. To each their own. I also feel others shouldn't judge people if they choose not to go to church. Here's how I define what I believe (Some information here was given by Dalai Lama and viewed at Religion vs Spirituality-Whats the Difference?) I believe all churches began with the same vision about compassion, tolerance, contentment, and self-discipline. The teachings of various traditions have been realistic in their advice. But overtime, churches have become exploited by greed, corrupted by lust, control and power. Not all of them but many of them have. Especially the large churches. I believe in embracing true spirituality which is something that is found deep within oneself. Spirituality is born in a person and develops in the person. It may be kick star ...
As I stand in line waiting to check in to my final flight of this 4 month cyclone of a trip with my parents, I can't help but think of all the things that we have seen and experienced in these 5 countries. Let me explain. In India, we got threatened by a yak, took showers in ice boxes, thinking we were going to hot India instead of cold India, out scammed the scammer, creeped on the Dalai Lama, infiltrated an illegal region without knowing it, (sometimes when you think you're in India you're actually in Bhutan) almost got trampled by a baby elephant, and nearly drove off a cliff. In Thailand, we learned how to cook proper thai food from a wonderful woman, got packed like sardines in a street market, stayed in a hotel underground, ate crickets and silk worms for fun, and saw the WEIRDEST contradicting white temple in the world. In Laos, we got into a motorbike accident and almost injured our Spanish friend, played a drinking game involving the spinning of a chicken head and drinking duck's blood, conned Eu ...

MY FAVORITE QUOTES: If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion. ~ Dalai Lama
what is respect!!! RESPECT What is respect? Respect means showing regard and appreciation for the worth of someone or something. It means honor and esteem. It includes respect for self, respect for the rights and dignity of all persons, and respect for the environment that sustains life. Respect keeps us from hurting what we ought to value. Why is respect important? Much of the universal values and virtues that contribute to the good of the individual and society and affirm our human dignity are derived from the value of respect and the value of responsibility. We need respect to collaborate and to have a peaceful world. Children with respect - Listen Keep unkind thoughts to themselves Speak kindly to teachers and others Play fairly and wait their turn Raise their hands before talking Say "please" and "thank you" Clean up after themselves Share Proverbs and maxims Wherever there is a human being, there is an opportunity for kindness. Hey Mr Zuma, you and your government don't represent me. You represent your own interests. "One day we will be praying for the defeat of the ANC government. You are disgraceful. You have... a huge majority – that is nothing. Watch out ANC government. Watch out!” Tutu said former president Nelson Mandela once told the United States not to tell him how to choose his friends when he was challenged about South Africa's close ties with Cuba. "When you think Madiba [was] able to say to [the] most powerful country, look you don't choose our friends for us... To say that to the US about Cuba, it takes something, but he did and they did nothing. If anything, their respect for him grew." Tutu said he would not invite the Dalai Lama to South Africa again. "I don't think I would put him through this kind of thing again," he said.

THE INDIAN ELECTIONS - NEW YORK TIMES It is truly the greatest show on Earth, an ode to a diverse & democratic ethos, where 700 million + of humanity vote, providing their small part in directing their ancient civilization into the future. It is no less impressive when done in a neighborhood which includes de-stabilizingt & violent Pakistan, China, and Burma. It's challenges are immense, more so probably than anywhere else, particularly in development & fending off terrorism -- but considering these challenges & its neighbors, it is even more astounding that the most diverse nation on Earth, with hundreds of languages, all religions & cultures, is not only surviving, but thriving. The nation: where Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism & Sikhism were born, which is the second largest Muslim nation on Earth; where Christianity has existed for 2000 years; where the oldest Jewish synagogues & Jewish communities have resided since the Romans burnt their 2nd temple; where the Dalai Lama & the Tibetan government in e ...
55 years ago today, at the beginning of the 1959 Tibetan Uprising, the Dalai Lama fled Tibet on foot and crossed the Himalayas to reach safety and exile in India. You can read more about his life and his journey in his biography "Escape from the land of snows: the young Dalai Lama's harrowing flight to freedom and the making of a spiritual hero" by Stephan Talty. "In a profession famous for its metropolitan Jews, late comedian and filmmaker Harold Ramis was a practicing Buddhist…and, well, a metropolitan Jew. He is well known for directorial achievements in American hilarity like Caddyshack and Groundhog Day—the latter carrying some intricate Buddhist underpinnings. Over the course of his later life, Ramis deepened his relationship with Buddhism, which culminated in a visit with His Holiness the Dalai Lama. That life came to a sudden end last month, when Ramis died of a rare blood vessel disease. He was only 69 years old. Luminaries of all stripes lamented Ramis’s death and commemorated his life. Rainn Wilson, geek funnyman supreme and host of his own spiritually curious YouTube series, called Ramis “the Buddha of Comedy.” Jack Black described him as “a force for good in the universe,” while Judd Apatow reminisced about Ramis’s paternal sensibility: “We hired him to play Seth [Rogen’s] father in Knocked Up because we all saw him as the dream da ...

Cameron was leading the UK’s largest ever trade delegation to China, having pledged to turn a page on Tibet after enduring months of castigation from China over what was nothing more than his handshake meeting with the Dalai Lama in London in May 2012. "We two countries must insist on mutual respect and equal treatment, understand and take care of each other's major concerns, properly handle sensitive issues and push for more vigor and results in the Chinese-British comprehensive strategic partnership," the report quoted Li as having told Cameron during their Dec 2 talks. The Dalai Lama does it for the kids, and New Order does it for the Dalai Lama. (Photo : Reuters) "Free Tibet" is often given as a cliched protest call, but the nation is still unwillingly under the authority of China, and the Tibet House benefit concerts will continue until it isn't. The 24th rendition of the show occurred at Carnegie Hall in New York Tuesday night, and the crowd got an A-list set of performances. Robert Randolph played with members of the Patti Smith Group following an invocation from the Drepung Gomang Monks, a Buddhist enclave based in India. Several members of The National performed next, joined by surprise attendee Surfjan Stevens. The latter performer joined Nico Muhly and Bryce Dessner to perform a few tracks from their Planetarium project. The Tibet House performances have typically included classical performances as well, and Tuesday was no different, with Philip Glass and violinist Tim Fain performing works from Steve Reich. That pairing was followed by Tibetan folk musician Tec ...

This March 10th 2014 marks 55 years since the Tibetan National Uprising of 1959, when hundreds of thousands of Tibetans arose and united in their demand for an end to communist China's illegal invasion and occupation of their country. The rest of the world was still busy with it's own rebuilding after a devastating WWII and did not come to Tibet's call for help against the onslaught by the Chinese Communist Army resulting in bloodshed, killings, tortures, disappearances and arbitrary imprisonment of Tibetans.  When Xi Jinping took office a year ago as communist China's President, the hope was high that with a new President, whose own father had been a victim of the Maoist's brutal bloodbath, the willingness to reopen a dialogue with HH the Dalai Lama and the Central Tibetan Administration-in-exile on how to make life for Tibetans inside Tibet better, would be high on the agenda.  The greater global community could not have fathomed the far-reaching strategic implications of the loss of Tibet's independ ...

As some of you already know, the other day my good friend Otis (excellent dog walker in Jersey City) adopted a REALLY bad *** German Shepherd. Her name is Kira. We all went for a lovely walk together. Tears were shed by her rehoming owner as well as by Otis. Hugs were given. Kira is now living the good life with my pretty amazing friend Otis. My dog Bollywood had a chance to hang out with Kira yesterday and they really enjoyed hanging out. Included in this post are pictures of their silly socialization experience. Kira and Bollywood are both dogs which were available for adoption by their actual owners via Craigslist. In both circumstances, I contacted the owners directly and had candid conversations of what the dog's behavior, breed lineage, and temperament were exactly. Currently in our society animal rescue organizations are doing this exact job. I just cut out the "middle man" so to speak. Why did I choose to not work with an actual animal rescue? Try to remain truthful. The power of truth never declines. Force and violence may be effective in the short term, but in the long run it’s truth that prevails. Being honest and truthful engenders trust and trust leads to friendship and a good reputation. Because we all need friends, honesty and transparency are a basic aspect of human nature. ~ Dalai Lama~

To clear negative energy, try this 3 -step process: 1. Take ownership: “When you think everything is someone else’s fault, you will suffer a lot. HERE is a great practice for everyone especially our CHILDREN : The Dalai Lama shared the following simple practice that will increase loving and compassion in the world. 1. Spend 5 minutes at the beginning of each day remembering we all want the same things (to be happy and be loved) and we are all connected to one another. 2. Spend 5 minutes -- breathing in - cherishing yourself; and, breathing out - cherishing others. If you think about people you have difficulty cherishing, extend your cherishing to them anyway. 3. During the day extend that attitude to everyone you meet. Practice cherishing the simplest person (clerks, attendants, etc., as well as the "important" people in your life; cherish the people you love and the people you dislike). 4. Continue this practice no matter what happens or what anyone does to you. These thoughts are very simple, inspiring and helpful. The practice of cherishing can be taken very deep if done wordlessly; allowing yourself to feel the love and appreciation that alread ...
