Diary of the season 31 August: August ends with Chelsea looking to make up for their poor form the previous season as they stand top with 9 points from their first three games. Swansea City and Everton are joint second, having won their opening two matches. West Bromwich Albion, Manchester City, Fulham and Manchester United complete the top seven, while QPR, Southampton and Aston Villa prop up the table. In the Championship, Blackpool appear to be unaffected by the previous season's play-off heartbreak and stand top with 9 points from three games; newly-promoted Sheffield Wednesday and recently relegated Blackburn Rovers are joint second. Bristol City, Watford and Middlesbrough (joint sixth with Leeds United) make up the play-off places and Birmingham City, Peterborough United and Crystal Palace the relegation zone. 28 September: Under-fire Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean resigns after a turbulent 21 months in charge. 30 September: Chelsea remain top of the Premier League as September ends, undefeated ...
15:00 Crystal Palace v Leeds TIP:1 STAKE:5/10 ODDS:1.90 (10/11) Narrow Palace win to take them closer to promotion Leeds have probably left themselves too much to do to reach the play-offs, but a four-match unbeaten run has brought eight points and lifted the mood at Elland Road. Perhaps just as significantly, Neil Warnock’s side are looking more solid on their travels, drawing their last two away games after collecting only one point from the previous six. They were just a few second short of gaining first away league win since December 1 at Leicester on Tuesday night, but conceded a last-minute equaliser and had to settle for a 1-1 draw. That result has left Leeds in 10th place, six points from a play-off spot with 11 games to play. Warnock has named the same starting line-up for the last four matches and is likely to stick with it, but remains without left-back Adam Drury, who suffered an ankle injury during the 2-1 FA Cup third-round replay victory at Birmingham on January 15, while fellow defender ...
Crystal Palace v Leeds United Championship March 9, 2013 - Kick off 15.00 GMT Crystal Palace are fourth in the Championship and look set to have a tussle with Watford and Hull City for the second automatic promotion spot behind Cardiff, although the Welsh side are stumbling at the wrong time and it could be a four-way battle come the end of the season. Ian Holloway saw the Eagles put Hull to the sword on Tuesday night and they will surely have too much in hand for a Leeds team who have just three wins recorded on the road all term and Neil Warnock's side have lost half of their away games. Kevin Phillips has hit form for yet another club and the presence of Wilfried Zaha means that Palace should secure the three points. Best odds for the Palace win is 1.95 with William Hill. Football Bookmakers.info Prediction: Back Palace

Worcester Wolves vs London Lions battle for BBL Championship play-off seedings continues on tonight at the University of Worcester tip off 7.30pm as the home-town Wolves host London Lions. The Wolves head into a weekend where they also visit Cheshire Phoenix on Sunday in joint-fifth spot with a 15-9 record and look a safe bet for a place in the post-season, but will still be aiming to move into the top four for a more favourable draw. Lions have now made seventh place their own - at least for a couple of weeks - with a 12-16 record but will know that they have played more games than the rest of the teams and that every victory counts. The sides met just three weeks ago with Wolves winning a double-overtime classic 98-91 which squared the series between them this season as a come-from-behind display from Lions had seen them win 94-76 at Crystal Palace in November. Wolves' coach Paul James is expecting a difficult game on Friday night: "The Lions have a talented and athletic team, with several players who h ...

Crystal Palace boss Ian Holloway is considering resting top scorer Glenn Murray in Saturday's Championship clash with Leeds. The former Brighton striker has 28 goals to his name this season but has not found the net in his last three outings. Murray missed a penalty against Hull on Tuesday night before stepping aside to allow Kevin Phillips to score from the spot. Phillips went on to get a hat-trick in Palace's 4-2 win while Holloway also has Aaron Wilbraham and Stephen Dobbie waiting in the wings, so he could take Murray out of the firing line against Leeds on Saturday. "It's all about the balance of the squad," he said. "Wilbraham is probably playing better than I have ever seen him play and I might have to consider Muzz is looking a little bit tired. "What a great few options I've got. It's about keeping the energy going.

WHY I CHOSE TO PLAY FOR NIGERIA AND NOT ENGLAND - Victor Moses Chelsea forward Victor Moses has revealed how former internationals Austin ‘Jay Jay’ Okocha and Nwankwo Kanu talked him into choosing Nigeria over England, especially after he was overlooked by England coaches. The former Crystal Palace sensation was named the Player of the Tournament at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa following his spectacular display as Nigeria won the African title for the third time. Moses played for England from Under-16 to U-21 level and was tipped by former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan to be one of England ’s finest. But unfortunately, U-21 boss Stuart Pearce and former England manager Fabio Capello had little or no interest in Moses. “I played all through the age levels for England and when Nigeria first asked, I wanted to concentrate on my club football,” the 22-year-old told Mirror.co.uk. “Stuart Pearce may have spoken to my agent about England, but he never spoke to me directly and Fa ...

Abuse of soccer officials needs to end Crystal Palace boss Ian Holloway was clear last week about his intimidatory, insensitive and inappropriate intentions towards match officials. "I think it's vital we make [Selhurst Park] a horrible place to come for any referee. It should be almost impossible to get a decision without you moaning like mad at the referee. We've got to try to make our place where it's almost impossible to give something against us," said Holloway. It doesn't take a crystal ball to foresee it is individuals like "Horrible Holloway" who contribute to the nasty side of the game. Such hostile treatment towards match officials inevitably spreads to all levels where ticking time bombs are effectively being seeded. ~SportsMan

Middlesbrough v Millwall. 5.20pm k/o. Riverside Stadium. Middlesbrough boss Tony Mowbray will be without striker Lukas Jutkiewicz for the Championship clash with Millwall. The 23-year-old suffered minor ankle ligament damage in the 4-1 defeat at Crystal Palace at the weekend and is likely to be out of action for at least two weeks. Defender Stuart Parnaby tore a hamstring in the same game and is facing up to six weeks on the sidelines, while midfielder Kieron Dyer, who sat out the 0-0 draw at Burnley on Tuesday evening, has a tight hamstring. He will be assessed ahead of the Lions' visit to the Riverside Stadium, as will defenders Jonathan Woodgate (calf) and Seb Hines (knee), midfielder Andy Halliday and striker Ishmael Miller (both ankle). Fellow frontman Scott McDonald is hoping to return after his back problem settled down, but full-back Justin Hoyte (hip) and midfielder Julio Arca (toe surgery) are still out.

Mile Jedinak has revealed that he turned down an attractive offer from a club in Qatar to stay with Crystal Palace. The 28-year old Socceroos midfielder received the proposal prior to the 2012/13 Championship campaign but knocked it back as he was determined to achieve success at Selhurst Park. "There was an opportunity to go to Qatar but it was not the right time for me,” he told SBS. "I had only been at Palace for a season and I felt I had a lot more to give to the club. "In the end it was a simple decision in terms of where I wanted to play my football. "I'm glad I stuck with the club also because there is the chance of playing in the Premier League. "I don't want to get ahead of myself but we are all hoping that we get there this season."

Middlesbrough will be without defender Stuart Parnaby, who suffered a torn hamstring during Saturday's 4-1 defeat at Crystal Palace and faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines. Veteran Kieron Dyer replaced him on the day and could deputise at full-back while Stephen McManus offers further options at the back. Manager Tony Mowbray has concerns elsewhere with Seb Hines (knee), Jonathan Woodgate and Scott McDonald (both calf) all doubtful for the clash. McDonald faces a late assessment while Woodgate and Hines are not expected to travel to Turf Moor. Long-term absentees Julio Arca (toe) and Justin Hoyte (hip) remain sidelined.-JMc

DO NOT LOSE: Wolves boss Dean Saunders today branded tonight’s crunch clash at Barnsley a relegation “six-pointer” and issued a war-cry to his struggling players. Defeat at Oakwell tonight will plunge Wolves into the Championship drop zone and Saunders admitted they must avoid losing at all costs. Wolves have not fallen into the relegation zone of the second tier since September 1999, following a 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace under Colin Lee, before recovering to finish seventh. They are just a point and a place ahead of the Tykes – who occupy the final relegation slot – having played a game more, and Saunders admitted tonight is pivotal to their season. “It is a six-pointer,” he said. “Saturday’s wasn’t and neither is Sunday against Cardiff, or the next one – but this is. “It’s the most important out of the four and we need some wins so we are not scrambling at the end. “Ideally you keep the teams below you below you and then you can do them some damage.” Barnsley are unbeaten ...
Loans: Zaha shines in win Wilfried Zaha produced a stunning display for Crystal Palace in the Eagles' 4-1 home win over Middlesbrough at the weekend. The winger, who signed for United in January but will remain with the Championship side until the summer, turned in a Man of the Match performance and earned widespread praise for an outing that included two assists. He didn't get on the scoresheet himself, but caught the eye with a dazzling display of trickery and direct running. Palace boss Ian Holloway said afterwards: "He is good as any chef I've seen, he can roast people. He's roasted both their full-backs... they'll be delighted to go home, to be honest." Elsewhere, John Cofie was the only other United loanee to feature at the weekend, with the young striker playing 78 minutes of Notts County's 1-1 draw away at Walsall. Cofie toiled with little reward in the League One fixture that one media outlet described as "a horrible game, played on a horrible pitch". Elsewhere, Angelo Henriquez was an unused sub ...
Lee: Brian Howard has today lifted the lid on life at Pompey. Ex blues captain, now a Bristol City player, has spoken about his time at Pompey. The following is taken from This Is Bristol website: Speaking ahead of tonight's contest against promotion-chasing Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, Howard recalled: "I went in there (Portsmouth) in pre-season and was promised a lot of things. I was promised a three-year contract and they showed me a list of players they were going to bring in. "I was told they were going to do what Southampton and Brighton had done – rebuild from the bottom up and get up to the next level and kick on again. They said they wanted to make me club captain and build a team around me. "They wanted me to go there when they were rock bottom and help take them back to the top again. They told me I would be a hero. "In hindsight, I suppose they could have said that to everyone, but they sold it to me. I thought to myself 'let's do this'. It seemed like a really good challenge for me. "B ...

NEW POST: All the best Wilfried Zaha GIF moments for Crystal Palace in their win over Middlesborough
Going to my big sis in London today for a few days. Will be watching Bristol City thrash Crystal Palace tomorrow night (I don't think) and on Wed. eve. meeting my son for supper at the Strada, South Bank. Maybe I shall bump into Mark Jenkins if he is still in London with his daughter?!
A message left on our forum; "My name is Ricky and I come from Germany. I have been by many football clubs in England. And I was always dissappointed from the atmosphere in the UK. It was nothing as good as I expected before the games that I have visited so far. Until I visited the Selhurst Park at the weekend! You know we have a quite good Ultra scene in Germany and I was looking for something like that in England. I almost gave up to search for a good atmosphere in the stadiums. Okay before the game I thought by crystal palace is it just as at other clubs. Now I can say, it is not so! The whole stand were fantastic, especially the "Holmesdale Fanatics"!!! As from now I support Crystal Palace! I want to say thank you to the " Holmesdale Fanatics". It was the first time in a stadium in England, that I have enjoyed a football game with a good atmosphere. Many greetings from a supporter of Borussia Dortmund. KEEP IT UP"
Parking at Crystal Palace athletics stadium, thinking your at Selhurst Park.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, I have been unable to bring you ringside reports from my boxing training and updates from the touch line at Bristol City matches. but don't worry, I'm back! OK, maybe not boxing training just yet, not sure the old ticker is quite ready for that.but a trip on the 75 bus to Crystal Palace on Tuesday night to see the mighty Reds? Not arf! Watch this space. Or alternativy, maybe Sky Sports News to see me being trundled out of the ground on a gurney if we win. Up the City!
This is why Sir Alex Ferguson signed him up! Wilfried Zaha's highlights (Crystal Palace) v Boro
[Video] If you missed it earlier, Wilfried Zaha's clever skill & assist for Crystal Palace vs Middlesbrough -
Wilfried Zaha has had a very good game for Crystal Palace, 2 assists & constantly causing problems
A look into our soon-to-be youngster~ •Zaha• Crystal Palace manager Ian Holloway believes watching England boss Roy Hodgson will have left Selhurst Park impressed following Wilfried Zaha's starring role in Saturday afternoon's 4-1 win over promotion rivals Middlesbrough. Hodgson was in the crowd to run the rule over Zaha, and the 12million Manchester United-bound winger was instrumental as Palace cruised to victory to boost their chances of a top-two finish in the npower Championship. "In front of the England manager, I thought Wilf was excellent," Holloway said. "We have a few who make a difference. He is one of them. This was as good as he has played since I have been here. He is literally as good as any chef I have seen. And he has roasted their full-backs all day and they will be glad to see the back of him."

Crystal Palace are going up and i'll be at Selhurst on Tuesday ! EAGLES
After playing the game we went to Croydon to watch Crystal Palace beat Middlesborough 4-1 at Selhurst Park. That was a rush, a real blast to finally see a game live. Of course, I suspect the Man City - Chelsea game next week will be even more invigorating. It all made for a long day, though. The coach ride back to the hotel after the Palace game was about 2.5 hours long, and most of us adults had not eaten since breakfast.
Event 57 - PERFECT running conditions saw many PB's Whether it was the desire to burn off the extra calories from Pancake Day or Valentine Day chocolates; this week’s PERFECT running conditions saw a brilliant 71 runners finishing, with over 35% of the field achieving PBs! There were 9 first timers, 7 of whom were taking part in their first ever parkrun, and two first timers to Eastbourne, John Greaves who usually runs at Bushy Park and has over 150 parkruns to his name and Carine Guenand from Crystal Palace parkrun. Welcome and well done to you all, especially to the first time running mums with the buggies, Faye Eddicott and her ‘unknown’ friend! Also a fantastic well done to all 25 runners who managed to record a PB this week! These include the 4 top placed men, with Edward Hickman Casey recording his 3rd PB in a row and missing out on the course record for Eastbourne by just ONE SECOND with a time of 16:19!! Gary Judges, who finished in second place, did manage to set a new age category record w ...
Tony Mowbray unhappy with the four goals Middlesbrough conceded in London on Saturday Middlesbrough boss Tony Mowbray was left upset at his team's defensive errors in the 4-1 defeat at Championship rivals Crystal Palace. Palace winger Wilfried Zaha was a menace throughout as the hosts moved up to fourth, leaving Boro in sixth and five points from an automatic promotion spot. "If we are looking for reasons, the amount we put in against Leeds in such a physical game (1-0 win on Tuesday) appears to have taken it out of some," Mowbray said. "That appears to be the case. But there are no excuses. Individual errors cost us for the goals. We knew they had talented forward players going forward. But my players are sitting there disappointed. "We lost four goals at Ipswich a few weeks ago. We can't keep doing that. "We are still in the top six and our ambitions are to remain there. We are capable of winning matches. We have to get back to our old form, but at the moment that seems a long way away. "Three of our ba ...
Crystal Palace thumped Middlesbrough 4-1 at Selhurst Park this afternoon, with top goalscorer Glenn Murray scoring an absolute beauty in front of England manager Roy Hodgson.
Roy Hodgson at Crystal Palace...? Must have thought it was National Trust...
Why are all the goals at Selhurst Park?? Nobody cares about Crystal Palace!
Manchester United winger Nani appears set to be sold. With only a year left on his current deal he looks set to be sold this summer to make way for Wilfried Zaha’s arrival from Crystal Palace. Zenit St Petersburg tried to buy Nani last summer but he is more likely to favour a move to Spain or Portugal – with United unlikely to want to sell him to a Premier League rival. SAP
27 goals now for Glenn Murray, who fires Crystal Palace into a three goal lead at Selhurst Park against Middlesbrough.
So excited to be at Selhurst Park supporting the Boro against Crystal Palace!

In the name of friendship, I will be at Crystal Palace vs Middlesbrough tomorrow. It will be my first visit to Selhurst since Wimbledon beat Watford 5-0 13 years ago. Time to finally put that ghost to rest.
Our customer service rep Jon just wrote a fantastic guide to 4 days in London. It was so good I thought I'd share it with all. Give it a LIKE if you think so too! Also feel free to SHARE it amongst your friends! London is the world's most diverse and cosmopolitan city, so to list everything would be impossible! But I'll do my best to give you a good range of things to do. In the words of Samuel Johnson: "When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life"! The first thing to say is that you're staying in a part of London called Crystal Palace. This is one of the highest points in London so offers amazing views of the city. It is also part of a very vibrant South London community, and within three streets (called "The Triangle") has some of London's most popular and respected antiques and curiosities markets - even more than more popular places such as Camden (which is also a good place to go for a night out). Crystal Palace is also a very trendy part of town with a thriving artistic scene. There are some ...

Football - Championship Paper Round: Ince to manage son at Blackpool The transfer window may be closed but that does not mean managers can't come and go, and at poor Blackpool it has been a case of managers going a lot lately. First the Seasiders lost the man who took them to the Premier League two seasons ago – Ian Holloway – when he left to take charge of Crystal Palace in November. Then just last month the Championship side lost Michael Appleton who jumped ship for Blackburn after just two months in charge at Bloomfield Road. Now, though, it looks like they have finally found a new permanent replacement for him - in the shape of former England international Paul Ince. The Daily Telegraph says that the ex-MK Dons, Blackburn and Notts County boss will end a near two-year managerial exile by taking the Blackpool job. What makes the potential move that bit more interesting is the fact that Ince's son Thomas just so happens to be Blackpool's best player. The younger Ince is an England U21 international ...

R.I.P. Rick Huxley: Co-Founder & bassist for the Dave Clark Five Rick Huxley, who has died aged 72, played bass guitar with the Dave Clark Five, one of the British pop groups which enjoyed spectacular success in the mid-1960s. Link below: Rick Huxley (left) with other members of The Dave Clark Five known for their hits Bits And Pieces and Glad All Over (the latter still has a regular airing as the anthem of Crystal Palace football fans), the Dave Clark Five followed the Beatles as one of the leading bands of the “British invasion” which took America by storm after 1964. They had 14 consecutive Top 10 hits in the United States, and appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show shortly after the Beatles. Glad All Over reached No 1 in the British singles chart in January 1964 (it made No 6 in America), and later that year the group went to No 2 in the UK with Bits And Pieces. CHELSEA EARLY FEBRUARY LOAN REPORT• Chelsea’s many loanees returned to form with a bang this weekend as it rained goals, assists&red cards across the continent. With so much to talk about, let’s dive straight in. We returned from a brief intn'l interlude to a televised Friday night clash between 2 Championship promotion hopefuls as NATHANIEL CHALOBAH&Watford took on Crystal Palace. It was a thoroughly entertaining match which was headlined for Chelsea fans by Chalobah’s 3rd goal of the season. With less than 15mins on the clock the Hornets were 2goals to the good&it was the England Under-21 intn'l who gave them the daylight of a 2nd strike. He stuck with the play after a corner was cleared&showed patience&timing to arrive on cue to head Marco Cassetti’s volley home at the far post. It was part of an impressive all round game from a player who continues to make great strides in England’s 2nd tier. He was galloping around the midfield all evening, joining attacks&getting back to tidy up just as oft ...
The Championship Spotlight falls on one of the stars of this season in the shape of Crystal Palace's Yannick Bolasie.
i will probably have to start watching Wilfred Zaha playing for Crystal Palace on youtube
When Giampaolo Pozzo took over my club Watford in June 2012, no one could have expected the breakneck speed with which season expectations turned from relegation candidates to promotion hopefuls. The Hornets’ brought in 15 loans pre-season including nine from Udinese, also owned by Pozzo. Following a draw with Crystal Palace last Friday, Ian Holloway blasted the arrangement as “ludicrous”. What is happening at Vicarage Road, and is it right for English football? Giampaolo Pozzo bought Udinese in 1986. Since then the club has qualified for eight UEFA Cups, an Intertoto Cup, third in Serie A in 1997/98 and reached the Champions League qualification rounds. Pozzo also bought Granada in 2009, who currently have four first team players on loan from Udinese. The Pozzo philosophy is clear; pooling players of teams from different nations and loaning them between one another means avoiding intra-national rules and allows the respective clubs to benefit, whilst allowing players the greatest possible cha ...

Ian Knight, Robert Hall and Emmet Wynne (L-R) wore old men masks when they attacked security guards Three men who carried out armed bank robberies for more than a decade have been jailed for at least 20 years each. The gang targeted banks across London at a rate of about one a year from 2000 until they were caught in North Cheam in February. Emmet Wynne, 48, from Kent, Robert Hall, 48, and Ian Knight, 51, both from South London, admitted robbery and firearms charges last month. All three men must serve at least half their sentences. The men admitted a catalogue of charges including robbery, conspiracy to rob and conspiracy to possess an imitation firearm with intent to commit robbery, at an earlier hearing at Inner London Crown Court on 11 October. Old men masks Hall, of Lupus Court, Grange Road, Crystal Palace, was jailed for 22 years. Wynne, of Wilmar Gardens, West Wickham, and Knight, of Adare Walk, Streatham, were both sentenced to 20 years in prison. The first robbery was carried out at a bank in Hen ...

Report from match: Chelsea under 18 vs. Crystal Palace 5-1 The Under-18s secured their first league win since the post-Christmas split at Crystal Palace with an impressive win on the road. Goals from Jeremie Boga (pitcured) who scored two, Connor Hunte, substitute Tom Howard and Chike Kandi did the business in drizzly Beckenham before a late consolation from the hosts. Adi Viveash made two changes from the side that started last weekend's 1-1 draw to Manchester United, with Hunte and Dion Conroy replacing Howard and Reece Mitchell. Kandi continued at centre forward, with Boga, Jesse Starkey and captain John Swift behind in midfield. Isak Ssewankambo moved from defence to midfield as Conroy returned, with Jonathan Muleba, Kevin Wright, Fankaty Dabo and Mitchell Beeney at the back. The opening exchanges were even with David Gregory, the Palace goakeeper, forced into an early save from Kandi after a dangerous corner delivered by Starkey, before the hosts' Luke Croll hit a free kick straight into the Chelsea ...
The Victor Moses Story, How an orphan became England’s hottest prospects- A MUST READ STORY. Sometimes in the modern game, professional footballers need reminding that there is more to life than the game they are paid so handsomely to play. Not Victor Moses, however. The former Crystal Palace prodigy, who today sealed a £2.5 million move to Premier League side Wigan Athletic, has experienced more tragedy in his 19 years than most English footballers could begin to imagine. Growing up in Nigeria, in the volatile city of Kaduna, he was just another 11-year-old playing football on the streets when he heard the news that his parents, both Christian preachers, had been brutally murdered by Muslim rioters. Fearing he would be targeted next, his remaining relatives took him into hiding. “It was a week after they were killed I came to England,” says Moses. “They got me out as quickly as they could for my safety.” Such was the danger, he didn’t have time to bring any pictures of his parents — let al ...

Nations Cup: A Moses nearly denied Nigeria by Muslim zealots Victor Moses: brace saved Nigeria He had gone out to play football on the streets in the Northern Nigerian city of Kaduna, when riot broke out in February 2002 over the introduction of Sharia . Muslim zealots attacked Victor Moses home, killing his mother, Josephine and his father, Austin who was a missionary and had a church of his own. There was the belief that were Moses, then 11 years old at home on this bad day, he would not have been spared. Football saved Moses and his relations decided to send him to England, where he lived in a foster home. He however continued to live his passion: playing football and making a career out of it. Before he joined Chelsea, the European champions, he had featured for Crystal Palace and Wigan Athletic while also playing for England’s U16, U17, U19 and U21 sides. In 2011, Moses also began playing for Nigeria at the international level. He had put the trauma of 2002 behind him, but he had not forgotten the ...
Sky Sports shared the following link and had this to say about it: Ian Holloway says it's unfair that Watford can loan several players from Italian club Udinese who have the same Italian owners. Do you agree? Holloway thinks it's unfair that Watford should be able to have so many loan signings from the same club, following Crystal Palace's 2-2 draw at Vicarage Road

The Liverpool striker, Suarez, has impressed greatly this campaign. --Arsenal make Stevan Jovetic their No.1 target as they abandon their conquest for David Villa. ---Fridays bets--- ---Double--- Watford vs Crystal Palace - Both teams to score sides who will be contending the playoffs this season imo if not automatic relegation, this sets us up for a very exciting game, inform watford vs a consistant crystal palace side, i couldnt pick a winner in this one really but watford score goals for fun lately, and clean sheets are reasonably rare for the home side, palace are more than capeable of breaching the watford defense tonight and watford will score at home imo, i dont see a clean sheet in this one btts is my bet Excelsior vs Maastricht - Maastricht double chance win/draw are probably the toughest team to beat away from home in the jupiler, unbeaten so far with 5 wins from 8 playing a poor side in excelsior who linger towards the bottom, excelsior got relegated after an awful season in the top flight and if they dont improve their form they wont be making an entry back into the top flight for a very long time, unfortunately for them this isnt a game that i think the ...

I GUESS THIS SHOULD SETTLE THE ARGUMENT. I HAD TO SEARCH FOR THIS JUST TO MAKE SURE THE POST BY DELE MOMODU WAS REAL. THIS STORY WAS WRITTEN WHEN Victor Moses FIRST CAME TO CRYSTAL PALACE. Crystal Palace starlet Victor Moses was playing street football with a 'sticky tape' ball when he heard both his parents had been murdered.. Published 00:00 18/02/09 By By Oliver Holt Victor Moses sat in the prefab office at the Crystal Palace training ground. He made eye contact only fleetingly. He spoke in a voice barely above a whisper and never for more than a few words. His accent was South London, where he has lived for the seven years since his escape. But when he hissed his 's' at the end of 'yes', that was his native Nigeria and the first echo of his tragedy. At least now there is a little distance between him and what happened when he was an 11-year-old growing up in the city of Kaduna in the north of the country. He has made a good life for himself in England. He only turned 18 in December but he has just bou ...
