Tues. Afternoon game - [Denver - Coors Field] Kamikazes 16 Colorado 5 WP - 1909 George McQuillan (4-2), in relief LP - 1888 Hank O'Day (4-7), as Starter star - Kam c 1926 Mickey Cochrane (.253-4 HR-23 RBI-26 R) - Cochrane was the Official Scorer's choice among a handful of Kam Batters who might have been chosen. Even Starter Tim Wakefield pitched well enough, but ran out of gas after 4.2 IP. Cochrane went 2-for-4 with a HR, 2 Runs and 4 RBI. Cochrane started the scoring with a 3-Run HR in the 2nd. Col matched that with 3 Runs of their own in their Half of the 2nd. Kam began to break the game open with 4 Runs in the 3rd. Cochrane contributed an RBI Single and Run scored to that rally. Standings - Kam (41-33) moves to just 1 GB, in 2nd Place in the AL Wildcard Standings because Minnesota of AL East, the Leader Lost. Other Wildcard contenders Won. St. Louis of the East and San Francisco of the Central remain 3 GB Kam and 4 GB Minnesota in the Wildcard Race. San Diego of the West, like Kam, Wo ...
Dante Bichette's career numbers when not playing in the pre-humidor hitters palace of Coors Field: .269/.306/.424. I'm glad the front office is more interested in a family reunion than putting out a quality product. Facepalm.
I have some great memories of Dante (his 1995 season was tremendous), but I'm not so sure about this... There's such a huge mismatch between his home stats and his away stats, you have to ask how much he benefited from the Coors Field effect.
Dante Bichette names Rockies' new hitting coach. Remember when he hit that home run on Opening Day to open Coors Field?
Headed down to Coors Field to meet Walt Weiss, new Colorado Rockies manager.

Wed. Evening game - [Devner - Coors Field] Kamikazes 15 Colorado 10 WP - 1908 Addie Joss (7-5) LP - 1902 Ed Poole (3-2) star - Kam 2b 1983 Jim Gantner (.314-1 HR-20 RBI) - Gantner was 2-for-5 with a Double (a HBP, a Run (and 3 RBI. He led the Kamikazes to a 12-0 lead after 5 1/2 Innings. They held on for their 3rd straight Win. Standings - The Kamikazes (20-16) win the 8th in their Last 9. They are 2nd in AL West. The Win draws them to 5 GB 1st Place San Diego. But, Wildcard Leader Minnesota of AL East won their 8th in a row to remain 2 Games Ahead of Kam. Min and Kam have the 3rd and 4th best records in the AL. The Leaders of their Divisions, SD and New York are tied for the best record at 25-11. outlook 0 Commenting on this afternoon's game, I neglected to mention that turns of the Lineup, more than specific Extra Innings, feed fatigue for Position Players. So, Kam is not out of the woods yet concerning stamina. Problems in the Bullpen this evening were more a case of bad Pitchers ...

Last night I sat in an at the Coors Field House at CU and heard President Obama speak about his next four years and he was fire up, charged, committed to Americans and clear in how he's going to continue to move the economy forward. He's never wavered, never lied, and never stopped fighting for the middle class. He's a man of integrity who continues to make change for the better. With unemployment at 7.9% and holding, he's got my vote.

That's awesome that Darwin Barney won a Gold Glove. Darwin and I are pretty good friends. And by "pretty good friends," I mean that I stood behind the Cubs dugout during a rain delay at Coors Field on September 26 and when I yelled, "I love you Darwin Barney!", he looked at me.

"In 2012, Marco Scutaro escaped from the Colorado Rockies. All they found of him was a North Face fleece, an empty bottle of Fat Tire, and an old Dante Bichette jersey, *** near worn down to the nub. I remember thinking it would take a man 600 games to tunnel to a better team. Old Marco did it in fewer than 100. Oh, Marco loved the city. I imagine it appealed to his microbrew-loving nature. Still, there'd be a 14-2 loss here, a devastated pitching staff there. Getting out of playing for the Rockies this season was a study of pressure and time. That's all it takes, really: pressure and time. That, and another team's big *** need for a second baseman. Like I said, in Coors Field a man will do most anything to keep his mind occupied. Turns out Marco's favorite hobby was totin' his World Series dreams out into LoDo, a handful at a time. I guess after Guthrie was killed, Marco decided he'd been here just about long enough. Marco did like he was told, rebuffed those trade questions as if he were feeling fi ...

I had a dream last night that my classmate (Tina Fey) was trying to prevent the substitute teacher (Cornell West) from turning up the heat because underneath her jack she was wearing stickers that were stolen from the teacher by Cartmen (from South Park). I also was arrested for "Taking Over Coor's Field".
Friday night by coors field I actually saw a homeless gentleman go out of his way to pick up and throw away a red bull can someone left empty, lying on a bench. That's what I call classy.

At&T Park seems more like Coors Field this post season. Giants have had 4 home runs hit off them at home thus far.
I saw Bumgarner get in an early hole like this at Coors Field…he hit a home run to turn it around. Not that time, though.
not sure if they are Giants specific bars but drove by Blake St. Tavern and Sports Column, both near Coors Field & both seemed busy!

On TBO.com there is an article about Lightning owner Jeff Vinik partnering up with a Denver businessman who was/is involved with Denver Sports Management/Coors Field to buy property adjacent to the Forum. A possible future site for the Rays. So the debate begins and a Ray fan makes the comment that the Trop is a state of the art facility that blows old Fenway Park out of the water. I live in an insane sports town.
I know he's losing but why in the hail did the get rid of Jason Hammel? He did well at Coors Field so that wasn't the issue.
Be sure to stop by Harry's this week! For the Great American Beer Festival we are featuring Dr. Chronics Black Cat and Schtolen Pilsner, both from the Sandlot Brewery at Coors Field. We also have a ton of fun beer swag we are giving away, as well as our brand new 12 tap system rolling out this week featuring Great Divide, Oskar Blues, and Odells Beers. Happy (and safe) drinking!
Why Zito is my hero and today is the most important game? Coors field shutout right after our sweep in Arizona at the beginning of the season. Right then I knew everything would be fine this season. I think Zito's last 5 years should be forgiven after a win today and 15 wins during the regular season. LET'S GO GIANTS.
Looking forward to being at Openning Day at Coors Field in 2013!
true true. Though I'll have light rail next spring to get me directly to Coors Field :)
My job has ended at coors field so its time to get on the super grind fo real!! Make it happen..
Justin is taking me sightseeing through Denver today. So far, he has pointed out Coors Field, Pepsi Center & Sports Authority Field at Mile High.
Just saw a "power list" for season's end (planning for 2013). The Rockies' MVP, judged by WAR (with average replacement) score, is Rafael Bettancourt at 2.6. The Angels' Mike Trout has the highest WAR of 10.7. OUR BEST PLAYER IS THE WORST BEST PLAYER IN MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL! The Rockies need a COACH THAT CHEATS. Would the Seahawks lend Pete Carroll to Coors Field for the off-season? BTW, I can't sleep. :-)

September 27, 2012 ~ An Inner City Softball game near Downtown Denver. Watching this it seemed so far from Major League Baseball, yet physically this field is only a half mile from Coors Field. And on the very day the Rockies played their last home game of the season, this field was alive with all the sights and sounds of a ball game. And I very much enjoyed the experience.

But more importantly, I help create baseball memories to so many people because I greeted ever single fan with a hearty welcome, a warm smile and high fived or knuckled 1000's of kids this season. I look so forward to the 2013 season and returning to Coors Field for my 2nd season. Great couple days off in Boulder/Denver area, big thanks to all our friends for the good times and hospitality! Ross went to Furthur at Red Rocks Amphitheatre last night, no doubt his energy has been rejuvenated after that... Brad got to spend time with some good friends in Denver, watchin' his Minnesota Vikings beat the San Francisco 49ers in a big game... and Erich, Austin & Skyler got down to some music at Quixote's True Blue last night... what a great Sunday we had! One more day off today, we might all go to Colorado Rockies game later.. never been to Coors Field. Give us a ring if you're in the area and wanna hang out!
