FQ: Need help... I am wanting to know if there are any EBP Mama's out there! My LO is 15 weeks and I am a ftm. I pump 3x at work, and my job can be stressful at times where I end up working past my "8 hours". BOOK REVIEW: The Maze Runner trilogy and prequel, The Kill Order by James Dashner. Well, I got sick of waiting for Book of trilogy, The Death Cure, to come from the library (long waiting list) and so I went out and bought it. Turns out, the book was not a disappointment, and sometimes the end of a trilogy can be. I was very grateful that the author ended on a somewhat positive possibilities note, despite the death of some characters that I'd grown to admire. He wrapped up a lot of questions I'd had; some that weren't answered in Book were answered in the prequel that just recently came out. All in all, these are YA dystopian novels that have a lot of action, a lot of WHAT?! stuff that you can't really figure out, and some interesting character dynamics. By far the biggest sacrifice I have made over the last 6 years has been my childrens relationship to sports and basketball in particular. I have not had time to be a good parent. When my kids think basketball they think of dad missing dinner off on some crazy task, being on his cel phone all day long or so stressed that he can barely stand it. I've felt terrible that I have not ever shown them the positive of being around sports with your friends and family. In October Chris Hansen told me that I needed to stop feeling so responsible. He encouraged me to go play with my kids and find that side of things again. I'm so thankful that I listened to the advice. Today was the very first basketball game for my son. He did great and it was everything It should have been. Afterwords we just shot the ball together for 20 minutes. I actually feel like we're on the path to healing a little bit of the damage and finding that common ground. Truly one of the happiest days of my life.
