Bill Britt (July 25, 1948 - January 15, 2015) Bill Britt, 66, husband of Bernice Britt died Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center after an illness. Bill was born July 25, 1948 in Marion County, a son of the late Lonnie and Cassie Britt. He was owner and operator of B&B Ditching. Bill was a member of Calvary Freewill Baptist Church. Surviving Bill in addition to his wife of the home are: 4 Children: Wanda, Penny, Wallace Black and Michelle Floyd; 3 Grandchildren; 3 Great Grandchildren; 3 Brothers: Macky, Ronald and Charles “Bug” Britt; and 3 Sisters: Shirley Stroud, Marie Rogers and Faye Miles. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, January 18, at the Chapel of Cox-Collins Funeral Home, with Rev. Eugene Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Cox-Collins Funeral Home.

Kimberlee Burns Sutton Date of Birth: 02/02/1971 Date of Death: 12/08/2014 Kimberlee Paige Burns Sutton, 43, passed away Monday morning, December 8, 2014 at the UK Chandler Medical Center in Lexington. Kim was born on February 2, 1971 in Lexington, the daughter of Phyllis Shouse Burns and the late Bobby Gene Burns. She was a former O.R. Systems Administrator at the St. Joseph-East Hospital in Lexington. She was a 1989 Graduate of Madison Central High School and was a member of the Red House Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Steve Sutton; her maternal grandparents: W.C. and Bessie Shouse and her paternal grandparents: Pleas and Mae Burns. Survivors in addition to her mother include a brother: Robbie L. Burns (Melissa); and one nephew: Nicholas Burns; one niece: Kelsey Burns; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Welcome To: Francis J. Collins Funeral Home, Inc. Our History Francis and Catharine Collins founded the Francis J. Collins Funeral Home in 1939. Mr. Collins, affectionately known as “Happy”, graduated from the Worsham School of Mortuary Science, Chicago, in 1926. During his studies, he worked in a relative’s funeral home. He returned to Washington in 1928 and worked as a trade embalmer for several area funeral homes. In 1939, Happy and Catharine opened their own funeral home on 14th Street in their native Washington, DC. From that single row house, the Collins’ raised their children, Francis, Jr. and Maureen, and conducted their business. By the late 1940’s, their business had grown to the point where expansion was necessary. Subsequently, the Collins’ purchased the row house next door and expanded the facility to better serve their growing clientele. & Collins Funeral Home   Sr. Regina Sullivan, RGS   Born: Fri May 8, 1925 Died: Sat Feb 2, 2013        MARLBOROUGH - Sister Regina (Eugenia) Sullivan (Helen Regina Sullivan) died suddenly Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013.  She was 87 years of age and had been a Sister of the Good Shepherd for 67 years.      Sister Regina was born in Millis, in 1925, the daughter of the late John Francis Sullivan and Rosemary (McGinnis) Sullivan.      Sister Regina graduated from Millis High School in 1943.  In 1945 she entered the Novitiate of the Sisters of the Good Shepherd in Peekskill, N.Y., where she began her formal training in childcare and education.
