ike many of Steven Spielberg’s adventure movies, Jurassic Park managed to be a lot of fun while also scaring the pants off kids (and probably some adults) with scenes of the towering T-Rex hunting the characters in a heavy rainstorm and intelligent velociraptors stalking a pair of children through a kitchen, acting more like Jason Voorhees than hungry reptiles. Jurassic Park had its friendly herbivores as well, of course, but apparently the owners of the revamped Isla Nublar theme park Jurassic World have decided that the threat of being horribly eviscerated is what really makes the dollars roll in. The upcoming sequel from Colin Trevorrow will feature a new hybrid dinosaur that combines the deadliest traits of several others to create a perfect predator. As Chris Pratt’s character said in the trailer: “Probably not a good idea.” The name of the hybrid dinosaur seemed to be flip-flopping between “Indominus Rex” and “Diabolus Rex” for a while, since Universal registered both as trademarks, ...

See map of the Park of dinosaurs from Jurassic WorldEl director Colin Trevorrow is currently filming "Jurassic World", the fourth installment of the franchise "Jurassic Park", in Hawaii. We know that the story will focus on the Park, which has become a popular and lucrative attraction. And now we have pictures of a map of the dinosaur theme park, that gives us an idea of its many areas and dinosaurs that will make an appearance. Take a look at the following map. As for story... The rumor now is that a laboratory in the Park will create dinosaurs spliced with the DNA of other animals. Finally, one of these hybrids will go out of control and terrify visitors. Meanwhile, officials of the Park will be forced to defend itself using some of the trained dinosaurs, including a T-Rex and velociraptores. "Jurassic World" starring Chris Pratt, Dallas Howard, Ty Simpkins, Vincent D'Onofrio, Omar Sy, BD Wong, Jake Johnson, Irrfan Khan, and Idris Elba. It is expected to reach cinemas on 12 June 2015.

Chris Pratt in 'Jurassic World'? It Could Happen Who could have guessed that Chris Pratt, the lovable goofball from "Parks and Recreation," would be Hollywood's next big-time action leading man? Of course, when Michael Keaton, who was primarily known for his comedic output, was cast as Batman, people booed and balked. And we know that that turned out pretty well. And while Pratt briefly showed his action chops in last year's "Zero Dark Thirty," he'll shine (quite literally, we assume) in next summer's poppy Marvel confection "Guardians of the Galaxy," where he plays dashing rogue Starlord. And it looks like he's being eyed for another huge franchise: apparently Universal wants him for "Jurassic World," the hugely anticipated fourth "Jurassic Park" movie, according to The Wrap. Supposedly Pratt will take over the role recently earmarked for Josh Brolin, until the deal stalled in the negotiation phase. Jason Schwartzman is supposedly up for another role; that has yet to be confirmed by the actor or the stud ...
Another possible add to Jurassic World ~Wild Cat Wayne Josh Brolin being eyed for a lead role in Jurassic World? According to The Wrap, much-in-demand Hollywood actor Josh Brolin (Goonies, Men In Black 3) is allegedly being eyed for the lead role in Universal's forthcoming Jurassic Park sequel directed by Colin Trevorrow, Jurassic World, due for release 12th June 2015. If this rumor turns out to be true, Josh Brolin will join an already impressive cast including Nick Robinson, Ty Simpkins, David Oyelowo and Bryce Dallas Howard. Jeff Goldblum's return and Idris Elba's place within the movies cast has yet to be confirmed. Along with the possibility of Jurassic World being set on Isla Nublar, the same island as the original movie, this Jurassic Park sequel is shaping up to be quite promising, on paper at least.
Jurassic World casting news ~Wild Cat Wayne Jurassic World Casting News Steven Spielberg’s next dino outing has some major casting news. The pint-sized star of “Iron Man 3,” Ty Simpkins, has been chosen by the master filmmaker to be a headliner for “Jurassic World,” the fourth film in the mega-buck making franchise. Simpkins, now age 12, is no stranger to the big screen. He began his career at age 3, has starred alongside major A-Listers like Leonardo DiCaprio, Kate Winslet, Edward Norton, Colin Farrell and grand dame Barbara Hershey. He has over 20 films and TV appearances to his credit already and with backers like Spielberg, Robert Downey Jr. and DiCaprio his career is on the right footing to last beyond his teen years. “Jurassic World” will be produced by Spielberg who has chosen Colin Trevorrow (“Safety Not Guaranteed”) to helm . Also set to star is Bryce Dallas Howard (“Spider-Man 3”). The film is set for theatrical release sometime in June 2015.
Universal Pictures is circling Josh Brolin to star in Jurassic World, the Colin Trevorrow-directed 3D sequel that the studio will release June 12, 2015. No
Josh Brolin Eyeing Lead Role in 'Jurassic World' - Colin Trevorrow is directing the Universal movie.
Safety Not Guaranteed is sweet and quick but pungent mumblecore that works better than it should. Caustic direction by Colin Trevorrow.
Universal has made a couple of interesting announcements regarding its forthcoming Jurassic Park sequel, with the project getting both a new title and release date. The fourth film in the series will now be known as Jurassic World, and is set to land in US cinemas on 12 June 2015, just in case that summer schedule wasn’t already epic enough. Just how the title chimes with the plot of the film remains to be seen, although given how the initial screenplay was set to tell the story of a new park built on Isla Nublar, could this be an in-world re-brand of the park itself? We’re assuming of course that that story is still intact, although director Colin Trevorrow is said to have performed significant rewrites on the original draft by Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver. Hopefully all will become clear now than a release date is officially locked in, with casting news likely to start trickling through in the next couple of months… let us know your thoughts in the comment box below :)

Jurassic Park IV Eyed for 2015 Release; Will Be Shot in 3D by Adam Chitwood Posted 2 hours ago Though Jurassic Park IV was initially targeted for a very rushed release in 2014, Universal wisely decided not to rush production and recently announced that the production had been postponed in order to give director Colin Trevorrow enough time to adequately prep the shoot. The franchise entry is a massive undertaking regardless, but it also marks Safety Not Guaranteed director Trevorrow’s first studio film and early word is that his rewrite of the script involves some pretty impressive (and time consuming) set pieces that need careful attention. Following the postponement news, most assumed that we would likely see Jurassic Park IV hit theaters in 2015 instead. A new banner for the film at the 2013 Licensing Expo suggests that the film will indeed hit theaters sometime in 2015, and we have also learned that the pic will be shot in 3D. Hit the jump for more. Not long after the announcement, the media speculated openly on possible directors; the list included Matthew Vaughn, Steven Spielberg, Neill Blomkamp, Alfonso Cuarón, Darren Aronofsky, Joss Whedon, Jon Favreau, Joseph Kosinski, Colin Trevorrow, J. J. Abrams, Brad Bird and Rian Johnson. Spielberg ruled himself out as a possible director, citing his incompatibility with the genre. In addition, Zack Snyder and Quentin Tarantino, who were both rumored to have been evaluated for the directing position, denied the rumors. Abrams said he is "looking forward to the next iterations of Star Wars, but he will be going as a paying moviegoer." Brad Bird said that his next film would be a science-fiction film, but not Star Wars. "I will be first in line to see the new Sta ...

Mushi-shi (2005-2006, Directed by Hiroshi Nagahama): 99% of anime leaves me cold -- most of the plot lines and characters are as trite and recycled as the cels. Mushi-shi is most definitely the opposite. Gorgeous backgrounds reminiscent of Sesshū Tōyō's watercolors, a beautiful, low-key score and wistful, haunting storylines combine to make this English language adaptation a mystical vision of a timeless rural Japan. Not Guaranteed (2012, Directed by Colin Trevorrow): an engaging plot, quirky humor and Aubrey Plaza's strong female protagonist make for a sweet, thoughtful little film. Metal (1981, Directed by Gerald Potterton): If you can get past the over-the-top objectification & misogyny, the hand-drawn animation is top-notch and the soundtrack kicks *** If you can't stomach the whole thing -- and I wouldn't blame you -- at least watch the opening sequence, 'Soft Landing', in which an astronaut commutes home from orbit in a modified Corvette. You might also find the next chapter, 'Harry Canyon', am ...

Brad Bird has confirmed he is NOT going to be directing "Star Wars: Episode VII", instead focusing on his own original (and top-secret) Sci-Fi project "1952", starring George Clooney and co-written by Damon Lindelof (Lost, Prometheus). On the other hand, another name has been brought up as a strong contender for the job: Colin Trevorrow, who made a big splash this year with his time travel comedy "Safety Not Guaranteed".

Star Wars: Episode VII director list down to 'a couple' of candidates?: Joe Johnston, Brad Bird and Colin Trevorrow still rumoured to...
J.J. Abrams basically denied that he would direct Star Wars VII. John Favreau seems like he would do it, and randomly Colin Trevorrow is rumored too. He has done one big Indie movie called Safety Not Guaranteed which won Sundance and has yet to make it to theaters. But when asked about the Director's chair he said "No Comment" to one reporter, and he gave a very vague answer to another which seems like he already has had a sit-down with producers. So we really don't have any clue about who is going to direct the first installment of the "New-New Trilogy". I personally would like to see Andrew Stanton, Jon Favreau, or a mid level director that is incredibly ambitious and has a good chance to make a house hold name for him/herself. Also makes sense for Disney to hire a lesser known name for the project, they did spend $4+ billion on the whole franchise, so to hire a director that requires a hefty paycheck might not be a good idea for Disney. or it might be, we don't know. Should be an interesting few months ...
