Colin Kaepernick & Tim Tebow
Colin Rand Kaepernick (born November 3, 1987) is an American football quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League. Timothy Richard Tebow (born August 14, 1987) is an American football quarterback for the New York Jets of the National Football League (NFL). /5

Y’all keep comparing Tim Tebow to Colin Kaepernick but didn’t Tebow play for the Jets, Patriots and Eagles after the Broncos
Perspective | Colin Kaepernick vs. Tim Tebow: A tale of two Christianities on its knees
Media is saying Colin Kaepernick won't be a distraction, but they bashed Tim Tebow for his Christian beliefs and called…
QBs I want to see play again in NFL (none of them will): . •RG3 . •Johnny Manziel. •Colin Kaepernick. •Tim Tebow. •Tony Romo. •…
I would take a team with Colin Kaepernick, Tim Tebow, & Johnny Manziel at QB. All have been winners, and the media coverage would be great!
Joe Montana calls Colin Kaepernick a 'distraction,' compares him to Tim Tebow
Headline tomorrow: "Tim Tebow gets promoted but Colin Kaepernick can't even get a job?"
The left balked at Tim Tebow kneeling to God yet rejoiced at Colin Kaepernick kneeling in defiance of National Anthem. The irony of it all.
I wish sports fans would embrace Tim Tebow the way they embraced Colin Kaepernick.
.explains why Colin Kaepernick, Tim Tebow, and their followers are all the same.
Liberals are so sick in the head, they criticized Tim Tebow for kneeling in prayer, but praise Colin Kaepernick for disres…
Colin Kaepernick doesn't stand for National Anthem. "Respect his rights" Tim Tebow has a tryout for MLB "Mock his religion!"
Tim Tebow gets ridiculed for his Christian beliefs and Colin Kaepernick is applauded for not standing during the pledge.…
Yea, the league is going to 'Tim Tebow' Colin Kaepernick.
How is Colin Kaepernick still a quarterback in the NFL and Tim Tebow can't even get a backup job
can't believe Tim Tebow haven't gotten another chance in the NFL. I'll take him as a backup to Colin Kaepernick
San Franciscos Colin Kaepernick three playoff games this season resembled Tim Tebow much more than Peyton Manning
Colin Kaepernick, the new Tim Tebow.. He can run better than he can throw...
Coach Harbaugh needs to sit over rated Colin Kaepernick and tell the chiefs he was just playing when he let Alex Smith go or sign Tim Tebow. He at least doesn't look lost on the football field
OMFG! My new "gym boyfriend" looks like he could be Colin Kaepernick's young (unfortunately un-tattooed) brother!! He is GORGEOUS! FYI My personal fantasy team consists of Colin and Tim Tebow..
I'd take Tim Tebow over Colin Kaepernick. JaMarcus Russell still available?
Notes from the pre-MNF power rankings on the Bleacher Report: 8. San Francisco 49ers, 6-3 (LW: 5) "I swear I remember people crucifying Tim Tebow for running an offense like Colin Kaepernick's. San Francisco managed a measly nine points against the Panthers, proving that if an opponent slows the 49ers' rushing attack, it stops them."
So now with RG3 and Colin Kaepernick struggling, Terrell Pryor getting knocked out of Monday nights game and Tim Tebow now out of the NFL can we officially call the "Read Option" in the NFL a gimmick that has now been figured out much like the "Wildcat" ?
Thank you Colin Kaepernick for your awesome contributions to my fantasy team these past 3 weeks (7.78, 4, and 12.78 points). Tim Tebow would get me better production!
Why does it take people so long to realize runningbacks like Colin Kaepernick, Robert Griffin, Tim Tebow, and Terrell Pryor can't play quarterback?
Niners` quarterback Colin Kaepernick is nothing but an one-year wonder. Every defense knows the read option, this year. He can join the "One-Year Wonders" club with Tim Tebow.
So when you force Robert Griffin III into a traditional offense his QBR and passing percentage drop off the cliff. Interesting. I wonder if we'll hear Merril Hoge saying that RGIII can't play quarterback in the NFL. Also interesting was Colin Kaepernick's performance yesterday. One might say it was "Tebowesque" except Kaep played even worse, having 4 turnovers. Interesting. How about Terrelle Pryor's beautiful 126 yard passing performance. That was really impressive, I'll tell you what. Interesting. Josh Freeman had an incredible 9-for-22 performance with only 125 yards against a mediocre defense. Hmm. And did anyone see Geno Smith's 15-for-35 performance with three interceptions? I wonder what the common denominator is for these quarterbacks where they are starting quarterbacks. Like I've said in the past, if Tim Tebow were black, he would be starting right now. The NFL is racist!
Colin Kaepernick's, Tim Tebow, Lebron James, Drew Brees, Tom Brady, John Cena, Mike Trout world, we're all just living in it .
Do the Chiefs have an offensive trick up their sleeve? Kansas City and new coach Andy Reid take a shot with the pistol guru. by Jeff Fedotin Last month the Chiefs hired legendary coach Chris Ault as a consultant. On the surface it was a move that seemed more appropriate for quarterback Alex Smith’s former team, the 49ers. After all, Ault, the brains behind the creation of the pistol alignment, coached quarterback Colin Kaepernick at Nevada, and San Francisco ran elements of that scheme last season. But although he does not possess Kaepernick’s transcendent abilities, Smith is a good athlete. He thrived in the same spread-option scheme at Utah under Urban Meyer that Tim Tebow did at Florida. Whether or not Smith runs some of the plays from his college days remains up in the air. The Chiefs have been covert about revealing Ault’s exact role. Head Coach Andy Reid compared his position to that of Tommy Brasher, now the Chiefs defensive line coach, when Brasher consulted for the Eagles from 2006 to 2011 ...
Fun Fact: Tom Brady, Jacob Tyler, Colin Kaepernick, Max Martin, Aaron Rodgers, Tim Tebow, and Cam Newton are the only active QB to get 1 INT
Why is Tim Tebow a motivational trainer on my Nike Running App? Seriously!
I knew Skip Bayless was an *** for his hate on LeBron but today for hating on Aaron Rodgers n saying he is in the same sentence as Tim Tebow n Rodgers is no better then Tebow cuz of 1 playoff win the last 2 years! Complete stupidity Skip!
As I was looking thru all the likes that Damien's pic has gotten, I noticed that Colin Kaepernick liked the photo, as well as RG3 and Tim Tebow!! Holy moly!!! How awesome is that!! What a great way to start my Friday!!
Poll: With Tim Tebow making headlines in Dallas, would you want him on the Cowboys? Soon-to-be former New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow was in Dallas today, speaking at the GameChanger Leadership Summit at the American Airlines Center. He also made some Dallas headlines by agreeing to speak at a controversial Dallas church in April. With Tebow on the mind, Rainer Sabin was asked about the quarterback staying in Dallas as a member of the Cowboys next season. Here is was the exchange: Based upon Robert Griffin III and Colin Kaepernick with the 49ers, should the Cowboys go after Tim Tebow as a backup so they can at least have a threat to run at QB?No. I don't think that makes any sense. He doesn't fit Garrett's offense. The Cowboys ran the ball at a lower frequency than all... ~SportsMan
You all watch the State of the Union tonight? Did I doze off or did the President say, "We have created over six million new jobs, and not one of them is interested in Tim Tebow?"
Michael Vick, Cam Newton, Tim Tebow, Colin Kaepernick. They all had the big NFL buzz and did nothing with it. Vick and Cam didn't have a great team around them. Tebow was all hype. And Kaep didn't take us to the Superbowl. He didn't have any more TDs than smith had in the post season last year and he had a whole extra game to do it. One man loses his job cause another has a higher ceiling. It's lookin about the same right now.
Colin Kaepernick is basically just Tim Tebow if he could play football
Colin Kaepernick and Tim Tebow are some of the best people that ever happened to the NFL.. not afraid of showing their devotion to God...
Both broke out in a 2nd year. Both excel in read-option. So why is Colin Kaepernick starting and Tim Tebow exiled?
Dear Colin Kaepernick stop trying to be like Tim Tebow no one is going to be "Kaepernicking"
In much the same way Tim Tebow indirectly invented Tebowing and Robert Griffin III indirectly invented Griffining, 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick has started a new trend calling Kaepernicking, otherwise known as kissing your bicep after a touchdown.
Conference Championship performance: I WENT 2-0! WOO! What I learned in the Conference Championship weekend - Matt Ryan finishes his fourth playoff season with one postseason victory. You wanna know who else has one postseason win? Tony Romo, Tim Tebow, Tommy Maddox (as a starting quarterback; he won his ring on the bench), Jake Plummer, Alex Smith (again, refer to Tommy Maddox), among a few others that I'm sure I'm forgetting. - You wanna know who has MORE playoff wins as a QB than Matt Ryan? Chris Chandler, Trent Dilfer, Mark Sanchez, Brad Johnson, and Jake Delhomme. - In all due seriousness, Falcons/Niners was a solid game. Julio Jones caught two great touchdown passes for the Falcons, and despite a slow start, Colin Kaepernick was able to find his game (though not in the same condition as it was in the Packers game) and lead his team when it mattered most. And with that, my preseason NFC pick makes it to the Superbowl, though to be fair, when I made that pick, Alex Smith was still head qu ...
Did Mel Kiper compare Colin Kaepernick to Tim Tebow before the 2011 NFL Draft? Of course he did.
Colin Kaepernick is the new Tim Tebow. I have a feeling that ATL is going to make this ugly.
WHY is nobody "Tebowing" these days? Why is nobody dropping to one knee and praying to Jesus whenever he's on national TV? Why is nobody making his religion all about "him", with the "little h", any more? Remember all those times when Tim Tebow dropped to a knee and "Tebowed", whenever his games were on national TV? Why Tim Tebow, why?
Whats with Tim Tebow coming to the Bears? DON'T WANT HIM, DON'T NEED HIM! Worst QB in the league! We had enough bad QB'S before why bring in another!
My thoughts, the NFL, government and more: Colin Kaepernick is the hot ticket in the NFL, his speed, size hard throwing motion. Ever stop to think Russel Wilson, Robert Griffin third, Cam Newton, now Colin(nothing personal against these guys). Tim Tebow excellent athlete, won tons in college, drafted in the first round, got the Broncos further than Manning. Everyone says he has a long bad throwing motion, Colin’s motion in long, ala Tebow. Robert third has a gimmick college offense. Did Tim get a fair chance, I can’t be certain but I think I know why. He openly believes in values and God (not saying the others don’t but Tim is open about it…in a world that doesn’t want values that is why he isn’t a hot commodity). People planning gun rallies in offense of Obama, I’m not a fan of Obama but what is the problem about background and mental checks on people who want guns? Stop selling assault weapons (again what’s the harm?) Everyone got so worked up about the Aurora tragedy and school ...
(b) Alright Gametimers! What is the biggest storyline from this weekend? Is it Duke and Michigan losing in college basketball? Is it the Ravens pulling off a huge upset? Is it Manning coming up short yet again in the Playoffs? Is it the ghost of Tim Tebow striking? Is it all of the points that were scored in the NFL playoffs. Is it the Patriots still dominating and getting to the AFC Championship game? Is it the Colin Kaepernick dominant performance against the Pack? Chime in here now!!
Help me understand this. NFL types heap praise on quarterbacks like RG3, Russel Wilson and Colin Kaepernick for their mobility and running of the option. That same use of the option is the very thing people use to dump on Tim Tebow?
THE HARBAUGH HIGHLIGHTS: SF 49er's Head Coach Jim Harbaugh changes quarterbacks in mid-season. QB Colin Kaepernick breaks the ALL-TIME rushing record--regular or post season for a signal caller against Green Bay. Baltimore Head Coach has his Offensive Co-ordinator fired and the Ravens rack up 38 points today in a 2OT game against Denver.both brothers' teams win. Could we see a Harbaugh vs Harbaugh coaching match-up in the Super Bowl? Your thoughts. A post-script to the Denver football 2012-13 campaign: Tim Tebow took the Broncos further than Peyton Manning did in the postseason last year.Mm.
Johnny Manziel, Cam Newton, Tim Tebow, Colin Kaepernick Are FBS QBs With 20 TDs Rushing, Passing ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel of Texas A&M has become the fourth FBS quarterback with 20 touchdowns passing and 20 touchdowns rushing in the same season. Manziel got his school-record 20th rushing touchdown on the Aggies' opening drive of the Cotton Bowl on Friday night against Oklahoma, when he tiptoed 23 yards down the sideline. He added a 5-yard TD run before halftime. The first freshman to win the Heisman, Manziel also has 24 passing TDs. The other 20-20 quarterbacks were Auburn's Cam Newton and Florida's Tim Tebow, who like Manziel are Heisman winners from the SEC, and Nevada's Colin Kaepernick. Three other A&M players had 19 rushing TDs in a season, the last Jorvorskie Lane in 2006.
Who will be the New York Jets starting quarterback next year? They claim they will part ways with Tim Tebow, and are open to trading negotiations for Mark Sanchez. Analysts around the league dont believe they would hand the ball off to Greg McElroy. Possible locations for Sanchez to land: Arizona, Philadelphia, Cleveland. The Jets will most likely be busy looking for a quality quarterback this offseason because of the disastrous 2012-2013 season. The Jets certainly will not get rid of Sanchez unless they have someone to replace him, if they don't believe McElroy fits as a starter they may look into signing a free agent or a 1st Round Draft pick. Alex Smith of the San Francisco 49ers is a quarterback analysts believe fits the part, and after being benched to Colin Kaepernick, he may be interested in a starting job.
Colin Kaepernick is kinda like Tim Tebow as a Quarterback -- Christian kid, great runner, telegenic -- only he can throw accurately.
Colin Kaepernick is what everyone hoped Tim Tebow would be...glad we decided to draft the right raw running QB
And another rant I'd like to go on before the hype continues about Colin Kaepernick. I like Jim Harbaugh but Alex Smith is still his quarterback. Who cares if they've won both games with Kaepernick as the starter. For example, today's game. The better quarterback lost that game. Drew Brees threw 5 touchdowns today. 2 of them went to the 49ers. The 49ers won the game by 10 points. That was the BIG difference in the 49ers winning that game. So take that media as you continue to brag up Colin Kaepernick like you did Tim Tebow last year. That's all I've gotta say on that. There! I promise I'm all done with my rants now.
will Colin Kaepernick be a Tim Tebow or Russel Wilson?
Who had Byron Leftwich, Jason Campbell, Colin Kaepernick, Chad Henne, Nick Foles and Charlie Batch starting games this year b4 Tim Tebow?
Colin Kaepernick is everything tim tebow was supposed to be, and so much more
backup QB Colin Kaepernick is pulling an '11 Tim Tebow on the Not always pretty but the dual-threat option has been effective.
Not to take ANYTHING away from the Bear's defense...but how in the world Dallas can justify Tony Romo's $9,000,000 a year salary anymore when you've got quality talent like the 49ers Colin Kaepernick and Jets Tim Tebow sitting on the bench waiting around to run the ball is beyond me?!
Colin Kaepernick. Love how the are throwing down Tim Tebow-like wrinkles in the Urban Meyer QB bowl (Tebow "vs." Alex Smith).
It's an insult to compare Colin Kaepernick to Tim Tebow. Kaepernick can actually throw the football.
Surprise QB TD in 49ers-Jets game -- not Tim Tebow...Colin Kaepernick scores his 1st career TD.
Packers preparing for 49ers to use Colin Kaepernick in the Wildcat: Tim Tebow isn’t the only backup quarterback ...
Rex Ryan said Colin Kaepernick is a faster, better passing version of Tim Tebow...
I love the way Alex Smith has stepped us a leader on the Niners and manages the ball by limiting turnovers... But did u see our backup QB Colin Kaepernick do his best Tim Tebow/ Michael Vick/ Randall Cunningham impression out there today? I'm just sayin
