Know the Difference Between a Good Football Player and a Good Fantasy Football Player. The line can be blurry sometimes, but a good football player is not always good for your fantasy team. As an example, Colin Kaepernick, was not a good fantasy choice last year. His team made the NFC Championship game, he has a bright future, and no one doubts that he is talented, but he wasn’t a good fantasy pick. Kaepernick ranked 20th in the league in passing yards, and 17th in the league in touchdowns. With that many quarterbacks ahead of him, you are most likely getting bested by every other fantasy team at the quarterback position, unless Kap has an insane rushing day. Russell Wilson and Tom Brady are underwhelming options as well. Great quarterbacks for great teams, but not the best fantasy choice you can make. The bottom line here is that individual stats are paramount. It’s easy to be fooled by team success, but at the end of the day, being able to discern between a good player and a good fantasy player may ...

The Fine 15, Pre-Camp Edition Now this is odd. A Fine 15 some 46 days before the season starts. But there’s nothing like a little controversy to sell papers. 1. Seattle. I like the approach of the coach and the defense (“We’re going to win again, and we don’t care who knows it”) and, from being with Russell Wilson a bit this offseason, I know his approach. He’ll enter camp this week thinking he’s got to beat out Tarvaris Jackson for the starting job. 2. Green Bay. Aaron Rodgers has his weapons and his health, and the schedule’s friendly post-Sept. 4, with the Bills, Jets, Dolphins out of conference on the docket. 3. San Francisco. If I trusted Colin Kaepernick as much as I trust Russell Wilson, 1 and 3 would be reversed. 4. New Orleans. The rich get obscenely richer, and Brandin Cooks wins Offensive Rookie of the year, and the defense stays stout. Need to survive the schedule: three of the first away, three of the last five away. 5. Indianapolis. I’m buying the Luck hype, plus he gets b ...

Colin Kaepernick's giant contract extension is great for Russell Wilson -
Our Paul Silvi weighs in on Colin Kaepernick's big contract extension and why it's a good thing for Russell Wilson. He's not the only one who thinks so either:
Colin Kaepernick just signed for 126m for six years. Wow.61m guaranteed makes him the top paid qb topping Tom Brady by a mill.18 million a year 6th highest salary in the NFL.Cam Newton and Russell Wilson will be next among qbs to get massive contract deals upwards of 100 million
A fan did some research to compare the differences between Colin Kaepernick and Russell Wilson's Instagram accounts.
Colin Kaepernick and the San Francisco 49ers struck a deal Wednesday on a six-year contract extension, which sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter is worth more than $110 million -- including a record $61 million guaranteed. More from Colin Kaepernick got what he deserved. He has proven he is a top quarterback, and in the NFL top quarterbacks get paid, writes Bill Williamson. Story 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick's deal is a way to gauge what Seahawks QB Russell Wilson could ask for in his new contract, writes Terry Blount. Story Following the new pact for Colin Kaepernick, Mike Sando ranks the other young QBs most deserving of a new contract. Story Insider Williamson: Now the 49ers must secure Harbaugh Stats & Info: Kaepernick's payday The deal ties Kaepernick to the 49ers through the 2020 season and puts him among the 10 highest-paid quarterbacks in the NFL. They're saying Russell Wilson should get more than Kaepernick. Colin's not either, but Wilson isn't worth $110 million. Sorry.
No one is as happy about Colin Kaepernick's new contract as Russell Wilson
Colin Kaepernick gets $61million Russell Wilson should get about $80 million guaranteed.
My rankings of the young QB's in the League: You can tell I like guys who can go through their progressions and have a more solid grasp of fundamentals over guys who are uber athletic, for the most part. Kaepernick is a big question for me because he hasn't shown me that he can dissect an NFL defense at all. The only 3 that I would want QBing my team, as of today, are the first 3. I'm excited to see how Bridgewater fairs under heavy fire. He has the mind. I'm wondering if he has the arm. 1.Andrew Luck 2.Russell Wilson 3.Nick Foles 4.Colin Kaepernick 5.Andy Dalton 6.Mike Glennon 7.Teddy Bridgewater 8.Robert Griffin III 9.Cam Newton 10.Ryan Tannehill 11.EJ Manuel 12.Johnny Manziel 13.Jake Locker 14.Blake Bortles 15.Geno Smith
Leave it to a Raiders fan (Terrence Banks) to say Colin Kaepernick doesn't deserve a $61 million guaranteed because he didn't get to the Super Bowl last year. Colin Kaepernick & Russell Wilson were the 2 lowest paid starting quarterback in the NFL last year an Kaep been to two straight NFC championship games, a Super Bowl appearance, 21-8 as a starter, most rushing yards in a playoff game, has beaten Matt Ryan, Aaron Rodgers (Twice) in the playoffs (both $100 million QBs) and is under the age of 26. If you ask me this new contract is a year late. Next some cowboys fan gonna tell me Romo better than Kaepernick.
Reports is that Colin Kaepernick signs a 6 year/$126 million ($61 million guaranteed) contract extension. Too bad you're no Russell Wilson.
For a team that prides itself on running the football, how do the 49ers plan to get a return on a six-year, $110 million ($61 mil guaranteed) investment in Colin Kaepernick? It's the most guaranteed money made by an individual in NFL's Colin Kaepernick. Cam Newton coming, Andrew Luck and Russell Wilson coming, Alex Smith contracts all coming up within the next two seasons. WOW!
Colin Kaepernick deal will impact potential deals for Cam Newton, Andy Dalton, Alex Smith this year; Luck, RGIII, Russell Wilson next year. So who will get more money than Kaepernick ? Temron

How much is Tom Condon seeking for his client, Alex Smith? He has already landed Peyton Manning $18 Million a year, Drew Brees $18.4 Million a year, Tony Romo $17 Million a year, Matt Ryan $16.5 Million a year and will be negotiating hefty deals for Eli Manning and Matt Stafford, soon. Not long after Aaron Rodgers, Joe Flacco and Jay Cutler all with big deals and with other QBs working behind the scenes on extensions(Colin Kaepernick & Ben Roethlisberger) and others who will be needing dealt with over the next 12 months(Russell Wilson, Cam Newton, Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III) just how much can we pay Smith? Any extension, as discussed in depth; will already cost us the services of Tamba Hali. A huge extension, more then likely chops Brandon Flowers or Dwayne Bowe off, also. SO, serious questions. Are we at a place where we can even make this deal? Will Alex stick with his QB brethren and increase the average pay for QBs or will he cut us a deal?
Nobody feels sorry for Johnny Manziel, right? He's a Heisman Trophy winner from an oil rich family in Texas. He probably had sex with half the pretty girls in College Station and a few dozen more in Austin by the time he was a sophomore. This is after he was a larger than life football hero in High School, in Texas! --Not saying we should celebrate such male conquest but his path has not been any real struggle. Now he's drafted in the first round of the NFL and will make millions instantly with contracts/endorsements, even if he doesn't become a hugely successful NFL player. Plus, getting drafted lower certainly doesn't mean you can't become a star QB. Joe Montana to Tom Brady to Colin Kaepernick and Russell Wilson, are some of the best examples. Brady being the best one ever. None of them were even first round picks and Brady was drafted in the sixth round. So, hopefully for Cleveland Browns fans, Johnny's gotten most of the spoiled *** out of him in college but you never know... He's only 21 years ...

WHY FLACCO IS UNDERPAID Flacco signed his contract last year, earning an average of $20.1 million per season on a six-year deal. Of the $120 million, he is only guaranteed a reported $51 million. He touches the ball on virtually every single offensive play. Meanwhile, MLB pitcher Clayton Kershaw signed his $215 million contract last winter, earning $30 million per season over seven years. The money is fully guaranteed. He pitches every fifth day. NBA guard Kobe Bryant is making more than $30 million a season at the end of his career. The average NBA salary is $5 million, a figure La Canfora says Andy Dalton, Colin Kaepernick, Andrew Luck, Russell Wilson and Nick Foles "won't come close" to reaching this season.
Yes, this week was a bad week for white men: The black quarterback would pass and run the ball. However, the ability of these black athletes to run the ball was, in effect, held against them by pro coaches. Yet for white quarterbacks like Fran Tarkenton, of the Vikings, Roger Staubach, of the Cowboys, and Greg Landry, of the Lions, that same talent was seen as adding value. Landry was named an All-Pro in 1971 while running for an average of more yards per game than Russell Wilson or Colin Kaepernick ever have. Bobby Douglass, by every statistical measure a lousy passer, ran for nearly a thousand yards during a fourteen-game season while starting for the Bears, in 1972. So it wasn't a preferred offensive strategy that kept blacks from being N.F.L. quarterbacks; the double standard concerning running merely formed one part of a larger pattern of bigotry.
"“Do we really think Russell Wilson is better than Colin Kaepernick?” No sir" he IS THOUGH
Oh the times they are a changin... Its a great day for black QB's, remember when they said we weren't not smart enough to play the position well Colin Kaepernick, Cam Newton, Terrell Pryor, Robert Griffin III, Geno Smith, EJ Manuel, and Russell Wilson... looks like there's a new prototype in the NFL Im excited to see where we go from here
I remember some ppl at ESPN was saying RGIII, Andrew Luck, Cam Newton, and/or Colin Kaepernick would win a SB before Russell Wilson. I wonder what thery're thinking right now?
Russell Wilson winning this Super Bowl only in his 2nd year puts a lot of pressure on Andrew Luck, RGIII, Colin Kaepernick, and especially Cam Newton
There will be more focus on Peyton losing than Seattle winning and as usual, he will shoulder the entire burden bc he is friggin' awesome. On the flip side, if the future of football is classy Russell Wilson rather than icky Colin Kaepernick or cheater Cam Newton, that's pretty great.
With all due respect for Colin Kaepernick, RGIII, Cam Newton et al, but Russell Wilson is proof of the old saying "It's not the size of the man in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the man."
Fans voted they would take Foles over San Francisco's Colin Kaepernick, Carolina's Cam Newton, Indianapolis' Andrew Luck, and Seattle's Russell Wilson.

Smarts/brains & passion! Yay!
12th Man: I found other good article today from The Wall Street Journal written by Kevin Clark. It's titled "A Quarterback Cold Remedy: Huge Hands". It talked about NFL quarterbacks with huge hands who can manage throwing football well in inclement weather. Russell Wilson's hands are so huge despite his height at 5' 11". From his pinkie to thumb is measured at 10 1/4 inches, compared with an average male span of 7 1/4 inches. Back in his days at Wisconsin, John Schneider paid a visit to watch him playing against Penn State in a cold, wet, and nasty weather. Wisconsin won 45 - 7. Mr. Schneider said Mr. Wilson's hand size was a determining factor for his 2012 NFL draft. This way, Mr. Wilson can manage the Pacific Northwest weather. In fact, Peyton Manning also have huge hands but measurement is unavailable. Do you want to know Colin Kaepernick's? A slightly over 9 inches. *snickering*
Colin Kaepernick to Russell Wilson postgame: "Hey, good luck to you. Go get yourself a ring, baby."
Favorite comment about the game last night so far is from Colin Cowherd this morning. "Hat on forward guy" Russell Wilson made less mistakes than "Hat on backward, turned to the side, bicep kissing guy" Colin Kaepernick. Seahawks win. I couldn't have said it better myself. Go Hawks!

Part of Why I Love Football * * * With my Packers and Chiefs eliminated two weeks ago, this actually makes the visual appraisal of the NFL playoffs less stressful and a bit more enjoyable. I know that we're in an era where quarterbacks matter more than ever but I absolutely love watching quarterback play in 2014. How they approach a defense, deal with crowds, the egos of their wide receivers. Especially with these four quarterbacks and their wildly different characteristics. Tom Brady, Mr Uggs, three Super Bowl titles and the essence of the Modern American Male. Peyton Manning, the star-crossed quarterback battling time, fatigue and the weight of expectations. Colin Kaepernick, the quarterback whom I think is the most difficult to prepare for as he has the arm strength of the Incredible Hulk with the longest leg strides I think I've ever seen. Russell Wilson, the son of a Dartmouth grad who is incredibly smart and very quick. Yet what I enjoy the most is how Brady, Kaepernick and Wilson were told t ...

NFL Films' Greg Cosell weighs in on Russell Wilson's recent struggles, Colin Kaepernick's development, Tom Brady's throwing abilities, the matchup between Jamie Collins and Julius Thomas and more.
An interesting side story in the NFL this year to me is who is the better quarterback? On the AFC you have two old pocket generals. Peyton Manning and Tom Brady. Two guys that you can trust and are known for IQ levels and passing accuracy. On the NFC side you have two young athletic quarterbacks Colin Kaepernick and Russell Wilson who are known for being a x factor for using their leg and athletic ability to move the ball down the field or avoid sacks in case of a play breakdown. For many years it has been thought that the quarterback position was one reserved for Caucasian men. Never before has an African American or ethnic quarterback ever won the Super Bowl except Doug Williams who came in for the injured Joe Theismann in the first quarter to beat the New York Giants almost 30 years ago? One of the major reason for this is because there has been little to no opportunity. Believe me there are over 20 other teams that are paying close attention to these games to determine who they should draft in their f ...

News Bulletin from the Year of the Black Quarterback: The current NFL season had the most black QB's as starters in league history -- as many as nine in some weeks. And now that Seattle has won its divisional playoff game, it's certain that the NFC title game will feature two black quarterbacks: Seattle's Russell Wilson vs. either Carolina's Cam Newton or San Francisco's Colin Kaepernick. It all started 40 years ago with James Harris leading the LA Rams into the NFC playoffs, the first black QB to start and win in the playoffs. Check out his story in "Breaking The Line."

Taking Drew Brees, Peyton Manning and Tom Brady out of the equation, Our question of the day is, which Quarterback from this weekends game would you take: Andrew Luck- Colts Russell Wilson- Seahawks Phillip Rivers-Chargers Colin Kaepernick- 49ers Cam Newton-Panthers
Isn't it crazy that Tony Romo & Jay Cutler get paid way more then Russell Wilson & Colin Kaepernick? That doesn't seem right especially when Romo & Cutler are at home in January watching these guys lead their teams to playoff victories & Super Bowls! Not hatin, I'm just saying!
Andrew Luck , Russell Wilson, Colin Kaepernick , and Cam Newton and Andy Dalton are all young and in the playoffs.
Colin Kaepernick is 6th in the NFL with a Total QBR of 68.6!! Russell Wilson is 12th with a Total QBR of 60.4!!
Russell Wilson and Colin Kaepernick are both so overrated. They are products of the great players around them. Kaepernick is borderline awful. WIlson is average at best and is made out to be an MVP because his defense plays lights out and he only has to make 2 or 3 school yard plays from his feet to win a game. If you put a Tom Brady or an Aaron Rodgers on either the seahawks or the 49ers they would never lose. ever.
START/SIT/SLEEPER for week 14 QB: Start em' Cutler/McCown- Doesn't Matter who starts either way this is a great match up. Dallas is currently letting up the second most points to opposing quarterbacks, and this Bears offense has been hot with McCown and Cutler. Mathew Stafford- He's playing a team that let's up a lot of points to opposing quarterbacks. This Eagles defense struggles against big physical guys like Megatron, so that has to help Stafford. Alex Smith- This chiefs will finally pull out of their slump, with playing an easy Redskins team. This Redskins defense is down right awful, and the Chiefs need to make a statement. Sit em' Colin Kaepernick- He's playing the Seahawks, do I really need to say anymore... Russell Wilson- This 49ers defense, is also tough against quarterbacks. This game is going to come down the run game. Tony Romo- When is this game being played? Oh right, DECEMBER 9. The month of December means that Tony Romo starts playing bad again, and this Chicago defense is good too. Slee ...

BREAKING: Russell Wilson enjoys interacting with the media more than Colin Kaepernick
See what San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick said today about preparing to play the Seattle Seahawks. Who will be the better QB on Sunday, Kaepernick or Russell Wilson?

Colin Kaepernick and Russell Wilson were asked identical questions on Wednesday. The answers they gave provided glaring contrast.
Welp Jaws does his QB rankings pre season and I will do mine 3/4 of the way through. 1. Peyton Manning (obvious) 2. Tom Brady (Timmy Terrific) 3. Aaron Rodgers (tough call over Breesy but gotta do it) 4. Drew Brees (major separation from these 4 on down) 5. Tony Romo (gut check time) 6. Ben Roethlisberger (the rings won't carry you too much further) 7. Matt Ryan (tough year, but body of work) 8. Eli Manning (rings is all you can say) 9. Phillip Rivers (big bounce back year, last two an anomaly) 10. Russell Wilson (want to put him higher but I can't) 11. Matt Stafford (still turns it over too much to be higher) 12. Cam Newton ( a lot left to prove, but great start to career) 13. Andrew Luck (a lot of talent, just hasn't quite put it all together) 14. Robert Griffin III (one of the best seasons from a rookie you'll ever see unhealthy) 15. Joe Flacco (one great great run lol) 16. Colin Kaepernick (real stud, but a lot of good QBs in the league, still a lot to prove) 17. Jay Cutler (highest I can put him, he ...
Did you guys know that Matt Flynn makes more money than Colin Kaepernick, Andrew Luck and Russell Wilson combined?
Why QBR is a flawed statistic: it rates Colin Kaepernick (65.8) higher than Russell Wilson (64.2) this season.
We just got rg3, Russell Wilson, Payton Manning and Colin Kaepernick jerseys at our store.
Some people last year really said Robert Griffin III and Colin Kaepernick were better than Andrew Luck, Cam Newton and Russell Wilson? Those people were wrong.
Did you know that Russell Wilson has been sacked more times, but has a better passer rating than Tom Brady, Andy Dalton, Alex Smith, Cam Newton, Carson Palmer, Andrew Luck, Eli Manning, Tony Romo, Colin Kaepernick, RG3, Jay Cutler and Matt Stafford? :)
Remember when everybody was saying that Colin Kaepernick was the "real deal" and Russell Wilson was a "lucky one year fluke"? Yeah me too.

"Foles, who has only 136 passing attempts on the season - about half as many as guys like Russell Wilson (257), Aaron Rodgers (251), and Jay Cutler (265) - but has amassed 16 touchdowns, with 10 coming in the last two games. That's more than Rodgers (15), Andrew Luck (14), Tom Brady (13), Cam Newton (13), Colin Kaepernick (9), Joe Flacco (12), Eli Manning (11), and Robert Griffin III (12), just to name a few." Whatever your thoughts on him are, give the *** kid the rest of the season to win himself a job.
Carolina beats the Niners. The NFC West is Seattle's to lose. And, I'll take Russell Wilson over Colin Kaepernick anyday.
Russell Wilson thanked Calvin Klein for his ESPY's wardrobe last night. Colin Kaepernick thanked Axe Body Spray:
Do the experts still think Colin Kaepernick is better than Russell Wilson? RW has not lost the game for SEA, but Kaep has lost many for SF
Another one. All things equal. Same coaches and team. Who do you pick. Cam Newton, Russell Wilson, or Colin Kaepernick?
Continued.. Therefore, and with that being said, I can give credit when and where that it's due without me being all biased and making excuses about their players, but I am just simply stating the facts, the truth is that the past success of quarterbacks under the San Francisco 49ers' Head Coach Jim Harbaugh gives his quarterback Colin Kaepernick the edge as well over the Seattle Seahawks' quarterback Russell Wilson. The 49ers' head coach Jim Harbaugh has proven himself to be a solid mentor and teacher of quarterbacks, because of the fact that he used to be an American ex-former NFL Professional Football Quarterback back during his time when he was a professional football player in general with the years of experience that when he was a quarterback, and the fact that Jim Harbaugh is more offensive minded than the 49ers' ex-former old coach that Mike Singletary was, because Mike Singletary was a defensive-minded guy in general, meaning that in as to which in general that he had that defensive kind, style, ...
Andrew Luck has already beaten Russell Wilson, Colin Kaepernick, & now Peyton. He's beginning to separate himself from the young rat pack...
What Does Alex Smith Have in Common with Russell Wilson, Colin Kaepernick and Andrew Luck?JASON SEIBEL 1 hour ago on Arrowhead Addict As we rapidly approach the NFL’s week 7, there are two undefeated teams in the league. Of course anyone who hasn’t been living under a rock knows they are the Denver Broncos and the Kansas City Chiefs. The Broncos have gotten to their position on the “record breaking” arm of quarterback Peyton Manning and perhaps the best wide receiver corps in the league. The Chiefs, as Addicts know, have won the last six games thanks to a violent and relentless defense who are on track to break a few records themselves. Because the Chiefs are winning there haven’t been many calls for Alex Smith to head to the bench. 2011 this is not and there aren’t planes buzzing Arrowhead calling for the resignation of quarterback. Aside from the handful of fans who were against the trade from the beginning and continue to voice their level of frustration at the Chiefs rookie general manager ...
Peyton Manning now has more rushing TDs than Colin Kaepernick, RG III, and Russell Wilson. Combined.
Interesting read from on Colin Kaepernick being held to a different standard than Russell Wilson
START/SIT WEEK 6: Who do we like? QUARTERBACKS START: Russell Wilson , vs. Tennessee: Wilson is starting to do what we were expecting of Colin Kaepernick . Running the ball! He has run for 172 yards the past 2 games. If Alex Smith was able to throw for 245 yards, I see Wilson beating them up with his legs and arms. SIT: Eli Manning , at Chicago: Giants play Thursday. Short week and they don’t have a running back. Eli will be throwing the ball a bunch but to the wrong team. Chicago eats him up and Eli puts up a dud. He has thrown 12 INT's so far. OUCH! RUNNING BACKS START: Knowshon Moreno , vs. Jacksonville: Knowshon is the man in Denver now. He only comes off when he is hurt or tired. He will get you points early. Start him!!! SLEEPER: Ronnie Hillman: Start him as a flex. Once they get up big, Hillman will see the field more. SIT: Pierre Thomas , at New England Yes, I know. Thomas is going to look so inviting after putting up 91 total yards and two receiving TD's last week. Don’t fall into that ru ...
Which young QB would you build your franchise around? Colin Kaepernick, Andrew Luck, or Russell Wilson?
Ever wonder where Colin Kaepernick and Russell Wilson's rivalry really started? Well, now you can stop wondering.Buy Madden 25 here:
The Broncos are just rubbing it in now. Here's a short list of players with less rushing TDs in 2013 than Peyton Manning, after his bootleg run on Sunday: Chris Johnson, DeAngelo Williams, Ryan Mathews, Stevan Ridley, Ben Tate, Robert Griffin III, Russell Wilson and Colin Kaepernick.
Who should I play this week in Fantasy Football? Colin Kaepernick or Russell Wilson?
Just traded Jay Cutler to a disgruntled Colin Kaepernick owner. Arbitrage at its finest? Other QBs on my roster are Pryor & Russell Wilson..
Colin Kaepernick is dating my boo Sanaa Lathan :( Russell Wilson & the Seahawks are 4-0 undefeated, Drake just dropped a album killing the game & winter time is approaching quickly LIGHT SKINNED *** is really winning right now!! Im HATING!!
NFL rankings on the internet this AM with Denver at the top followed by Seattle, ooh that Russell Wilson. But surprising, to me, are the 9ers at 5th, with a 2-2 record and a sputtering start. Cited for that placement was a "convincing" win against the Rams, that dog won't hunt. This is truly Colin Kaepernick's season, his name was in the lineup at the QB spot from the git go. What happens will be on him. Now Alex Smith was no world beater, and I can see why Harbaugh went with Kap, but this is the NFL, they make adjustments quickly and hit hard. Harbaugh will be tested also for his move, he rolled the dice and they made the Super Bowl, with that roll, but some of those chips that got them there were Alex Smith's. This year that roll will really be tested, as will be Kaepernick. You make steel by putting raw iron under heat and pounding out the impurities. Raw iron looks strong, but when put under stress it breaks, fractures and gives away. Steel, has not only strength, but gives under stress and rebounds t ...
In this morning's football news cap from the weekend: Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, maybe Drew Brees show why they are elite, the Bengals, Texans, and ravens are who we thought they were, my cowboys still winning every other game looking like 8-8 again, and Russell Wilson, Colin kaepernick, and RGIII time has come and gone like the wildcat, but the BROWNS are 2-0 since the trade...IT'S FOOTBALL AND THAT MEANS ANY GIVEN SUNDAY!
I was browsing Russell Wilson's and Colin Kaepernick's Instagram accounts and noticed a few...
Russell Wilson vs. Colin Kaepernick: life off the field. A real gem we have in Seattle!
Imgur proves the difference between Russell Wilson and Colin Kaepernick.
I think Colin Kaepernick has a gambling problem. First it was his eyebrows vs Russell Wilson. Now it's mighty wings vs Joe Flacco.
The highest qb rating in the NFL for 2012 & 2013 in the NFL belongs to Peyton Manning. Number 2 - not Aaron Rodgers, not Tom Brady, not Colin Kaepernick . . . it is Russell Wilson. Go Hawks !
S.O.S. Time for San Francisco? How many people in the San Francisco bay area miss Alex Smith right about now? Hopefully not too many, but I am sure somewhere in Kansas City, Alex Smith is laughing to himself right about now. Who can blame him? His Chiefs are 3-0 and Smith has posted impressive numbers through three weeks. The 49ers are 1-2, not because of some crazy accident, but because they have had zero offensive production besides week 1 against Green Bay. Defensively, they can’t seem to make tackles to save their life, especially when it comes to stopping the run. Seattle beat the 49ers soundly, although Russell Wilson did not play the greatest game, the defense of Seattle shut down Colin Kaepernick and held him to just 127 passing yards, and intercepted him 3 times. Going into this past week’s game against the Colts, 49ers fans were looking for redemption, unfortunately, all they found was more disappointment. The Colts defense held Kaepernick to just 150 passing yards. Indianapolis picked off K ...
Should I start Colin Kaepernick this week for Fantasy Football? He seems to be laying an egg every week. Other option is Russell Wilson.
Do you know what the difference is between Russell Wilson, and Colin Kaepernick, or RG3? Russell Wilson doesn't need the spread option to be an effective QB. He's growing in Bevell's west coast system. Where as CK and RG3 need the spread option in order to make their arms. It's the art of deception. If CK and RG3 are running the football at healthy clip, it makes their arm more lethal. If you ask CK and RG3 to be prototypical drop back passers, they'll fair more often than succeed. Whereas Russell Wilson continues to mature past being that pigeon holed "read option" guy. I'm not saying CK or RG3 are terrible QB's or weren't worthy of their picks, but their ability to run the ball, sets up their pass. If you take one element of their game away, their entire game is shot.
The fact that Russell Wilson takes time out of his week to go to the Seattle Children's Hospital every week with his wife and Colin Kaepernick produces products with his name on it, buys shoes, and does shirtless magazine shoots is a big reason why I like Seattle and despise San Fran. And also a good example of the levels of class within the NFL.
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick and Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson were featured in an ad for ‘Madden 25’ betting an eyebrow on the outcome of the game. And now the results.
Ouch... that's all that needs to be said.   Week 3 Performance: 6-10 Overall Record: 27-21 Correct Picks: Miami, Denver, Dallas, New England, New Orleans, Seattle Fantasy Football: Despite benching Cam Newton and Cincinnati, I somehow win my week by 6 points, mainly thanks to wide receivers Calvin Johnson and Cecil Shorts and running back Joique Bell, so right now I sit at 1-2. Suicide League: I took the Broncos in Week 3, so I'm still in.  Cleveland eliminated nearly 20 people last week though.  I might go with the Chiefs this week.   What I learned in Week 3... - The Panthers have finally woke up.  Now let's hope that they don't go back to sleep during their bye week. - Colin Kaepernick has officially become Colin Krapernick.  Something tells me things are only going to get worse for the Niners, especially since being in the same division as the Seahawks. - "I didn't know we got two bye weeks this season" said Russell Wilson after playing Jacksonville - Detroit finally gets the win in Washington a ...
Without further ado here are the top 10 best selling jerseys of 2013: 1. Colin Kaepernick, Quarterback, 49ers. Kaepernick came in in week 10 for the 49ers and won himself the starting job. He proceeded to win two playoff game and set the NFL record for the most rushing yards by a quarterback in a single game (181). Sadly though, the Kaepernick jerseys do not come with a Dolphins hat. 2. Russell Wilson, Quarterback, Seahawks. Wilson had to wait until the third round to get drafted but he looked like a No. 1 overall pick on the field. The pro-bowler threw for 3,118 yards, 26 touchdowns (although only 25 of them were actually touchdowns), and just 10 interceptions (thanks to Lance Easley). He also rushed for 489 yards and 4 touchdowns. Wilson led the Seahawks to a playoff win against the Redskins and almost led them to a win over the Falcons in the divisional round. Would this be a bad time to remind you that the Jaguars drafted a punter ahead of Wilson? 3. Robert Griffin III, Quarterback, Washington Redskin ...
PURE STUPIDITY: As a back up quarterback for the 2nd worst team in the NFL (Oakland Raiders), Matt Flynn will make more than 2X the money ($6.25M) than Colin Kaepernick, Russell Wilson, and Robert Griffin III, combined ($2.71M). Way to go Oakland, you spend and invest money like the California state legislature... ***
Who is a better QB Russell Wilson, RGIII, Cam Newton, or Colin Kaepernick.
Report: Eagles backed out of trade for Colin Kaepernick intending to draft Russell Wilson
Russell Wilson & Colin Kaepernick have played so bad that they should both lose an eyebrow after this game.
Outside of Aaron Rodgers, I can't think of any better quarterbacks than Colin Kaepernick n Russell Wilson. Pryor n Newton should take notes
Watch, the Russell Wilson vs Colin Kaepernick rivalry will replace the Tom Brady vs Peyton Manning rivalry in the future.
So there's a bet between Russell Wilson and Colin Kaepernick? Loser has to shave off his eyebrow...
When you think about the pistol formation, you think about Russell Wilson, Robert Griffin III, Colin Kaepernick...
Russell Wilson looks like an Oz munchkin next to Colin Kaepernick.
if I can, I want Arian Foster or Adrian Peterson for my RB keeper. Colin Kaepernick or Russell Wilson for my other.
The *** Jaws ranked at behind Andrew Luck, Russell Wilson, and Colin Kaepernick! He musta bumped his head.
NFL PRE SEASON RANKINGS 1) Seattle Seahawks- The Seahawks have dynamic playmakers on both sides of the ball along with a tremendous home field advantage. If there is an area of concern it could be at quarterback where there will be a tremendous amount of pressure on Russell Wilson. The second year signal caller will not be catching anyone by surprise this year. 2) Denver Broncos- Denver went 13-3 in Peyton Manning’s “knock the rust off” year. The addition of Wes Welker and running back Montee Ball to the offense will keep defensive coordinators up at night. 3) San Francisco 49ers- The Michael Crabtree injury was a huge blow to the offense and will put a lot of pressure on receivers like Kyle Williams and A.J. Jenkins. Colin Kaepernick better keep his track shoes ready. 4) Green Bay Packers- Aaron Rodgers being supported by a very productive running game (drafted rbs Eddie Lacy and Jonathan Franklin) could mean big things in Green Bay. 5) Atlanta Falcons- The Falcons are built to win on offense, but ...
Today on The Scrimmage, we discussed Andrew's blog post, and elaborated on why we love Russell Wilson so very much as our quarterback. We then started off the Fantasy Football year by discussing where Marshawn Lynch and Russell Wilson should be on your draft board, and who should be at the very top.
The only city that loves Colin Kaepernick is San Francisco. Every other state, city and country hates him and thinks he is overrated and his body is unattractive. Everyone just seems to love Russell Wilson because they have seen so many or heard so many good things about him. The Miami Dolphins fans were outraged that he (Colin) wore their team hats. -Luke
I just finished voting for the ESPY Awards (kind of like the sports version of the Oscars). There were some tough decisions this year, more than I can ever remember. Some of my voting highlights are listed. I invite arguments... 1. Miguel Cabrera over Adrian Peterson, Lebron James, and Michael Phelps for Best Male Athlete 2. Mike Trout over Johnny Manziel, Yasiel Puig, Russell Wilson, and Colin Kaepernick for Best Breakthrough Athlete 3. Joe Flacco over Lebron James, Pablo Sandoval, and Brad Keselowski for Best Championship Performance 4. Ravens vs. Broncos (AFC Divisional Playoff) over Maple Leafs vs. Bruins (Game 7 1st round) and Spurs vs. Heat (Game 6 NBA Finals). This was the toughest one. 5. Alabama Football over Baltimore Ravens, Chicago Blackhawks, Miami Heat, Oklahoma Women's Softball, San Francisco Giants and U.S. Olympic Women's Gymnastics for Best Team Some of the 16 candidates for Best Play are absolutely amazing. If you have any interest in viewing them, I'll list what you should enter in the ...
Thats crazy I didn't know that Colin Kaepernick and Russell Wilson was both in the MLB Just in 2009 that's crazy I didn't know that
Are you ready for some football?!  I know a small town in the state of Wisconsin certainly is.  the Green Bay Packers kickoff their 2013 season, at San Francisco, on September 8th.  “Opening day is always exciting” Coach Mike McCarthy said.  Well, when your opening day is going on the road, to face the team who was your biggest barrier to the Super Bowl, I could think of a few more adjectives to describe that day.  Some may say the 49ers were the Packers’ “Achille’s Heel” in 2012, when they squared off on opening day (ironic?) AND in the NFC Divisional, in which they fell victim to Colin Kaepernick and lost 45-31.  The Packers ended their season with an overall record of 12-6 (technically it should’ve been 13-5) because of the now famous Russell Wilson “Fail Mary”, in which Seattle stole a 14-12 victory in week three.  I’m sure Green Bay would like to get their revenge on the Seahawks this season, but they will have to settle for an August 23rd preseason game that will be tel ...
Phillip Rivers as a "middle class" quarterback -- Ann By Tom Krasovic The NFL's collective bargaining agreement isn't a friend to Philip Rivers and other quarterbacks of his ilk. Teams that can win with a young quarterback, I wrote on April 1, will reap gigantic value under this CBA. Here's an excerpt: "Because the NFL labor pact reached in 2011 slashed the salaries that players can make in their first several seasons, teams that acquired worthy quarterbacks from the classes of 2011-12 are able to better reward other players. It's only one reason, but a compelling one, to be bullish on the Colts (Andrew Luck), Seahawks (Russell Wilson), 49ers (Colin Kaepernick), Dolphins (Ryan Tanehill), Redskins (Robert Griffin III) and Panthers (Cam Newton)." Rivers this year will consume 13.9 percent of San Diego's salary cap. While the number should dip in 2014, the lowered salary floor for incoming passers raises questions about how the industry will value the veterans with big salaries, especially in a "flat cap" e ...
When talking about RG3, I always hear the argument: "They have tape on him now. He can't be as successful next year." Yet, this argument is almost never made about Russell Wilson, Colin Kaepernick, and Andrew Luck. All 4 of these quarterbacks went to the playoffs. Why is it that RG3 will be figured out? - Hunter
he not better then Ben Roethlisberger, Colin Kaepernick, Matt Stafford, or Russell Wilson
Russell Wilson comes in at 51 of NFL's top 100 for 2013 Quarterback Russell Wilson joined Max Unger (No. 95), Percy Harvin (No. 90), and Earl Thomas (No. 66) as the fourth Seahawk to be represented on NFL Network's list of the Top 100 players of 2013, appearing at No. 51 on tonight's unveil of players ranked 51-60. He's also the fourth quarterback to crack the Top 100, as his peers voted him higher than fellow signal callers Colin Kaepernick of the San Francisco 49ers (No. 81), Matthew Stafford of the Detroit Lions (No. 76), and Ben Roethlisberger of the Pittsburgh Steelers (No. 61). It was what Wilson did a season ago for the Seahawks that landed him on this list. After being selected with the 75th overall pick (third round) of the 2012 NFL Draft, Wilson beat out incumbent starter Tarvaris Jackson and free-agent acquisition Matt Flynn to claim the starting job in preseason. He led Seattle on an 11-5 campaign where he tied Peyton Manning's 1998 record for the most touchdown passes by a rookie (26), became ...
Because they’re non-traditional, mobile passers who were passed up by teams for lesser quarterbacks, Colin Kaepernick and Russell Wilson will forever be compared. Of course, that they play on rival teams only adds fervor the comparison. As a result, we get stellar comparisons like this one, provided...

Colin Kaepernick and Russell Wilson will have their wills tested next season. Will the be timid if they get snot hit out of them?
Tebow is a lot less special now that guys like Russell Wilson, Colin Kaepernick, and RGIII are playing. They can run AND throw.

Terrific read by Mr. on who will be the better fantasy QB: Colin Kaepernick or Russell Wilson?
I think Russell Wilson has as good a chance as Colin Kaepernick at passing RG III
Russell Wilson and Colin Kaepernick say HI Demarcus. You aint gonna catch us lol
Russell Wilson and Colin Kaepernick will suffer terrible injuries due to the read option write that down
Best young QB: Russell Wilson, RGIII, Colin Kaepernick, or Andrew Luck?...wish I could put Ponder on this list
Players like Colin Kaepernick need to see more. Luck/RG3 are flat out special. I just don't know what to do with Russell Wilson.
Best thing to happen to Terrell's Pryor is RG3, Colin Kaepernick, and Russell Wilson succeeding at being scrambling quarterbacks last year.
was Russell Wilson or Colin Kaepernick drafted in first round.. I don't think round drafted really matters.
Cliff Avril ran the 40 faster than both Russell Wilson and Colin kaepernick.
Interesting that rival 49ers and Seahawks got 2 different type of slot WRs to help young read-option QBs Colin Kaepernick and Russell Wilson
Russell Wilson & Colin Kaepernick should be getting new deals, no?
Colin Kaepernick and Russell Wilson are very happy right now
one thing is for sure... Russell Wilson and Colin Kaepernick are smiling somewhere after hearing the WR news today!
RG3, Cam Newton, Russell Wilson, Colin Kaepernick... Super athletic qbs are taking over
Arizona Cardinals- Are you paying attention??? Seattle Seahawks just traded for Percy Harvin to give Russell Wilson a REAL weapon, and the San Francisco 49ers traded for Anquan Boldin to help out Colin Kaepernick. What are YOU going to do??? I see a 4th place finish coming on in the NFC West.
Which QB will have the better season Cam Newton or Colin Kaepernick of the 2011 draft/Russell Wilson or RG3 of the 2012 draft
Matt Scott is not like Russell Wilson or Colin Kaepernick. People are trying way too hard.
Option Offense- Will It Work 2012-2013 was the year of the mobile quarterbacks. Rookie quarterback Russell Wilson of the Seattle Seahawks put up amazing numbers completing 64% of his passing along with throwing for over 3100 yards and rushing for another 480 yards. Wilson combined for 30 TDs and lead the Seahawks to a playoff win against fellow rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III. RG3 also had an amazing season, winning Offensive Rookie of the Year as he completed 65% of his passing with over 4000 total yards and 27 TDs. The San Francisco 49ers also had much success with their young mobile quarterback Colin Kaepernick as he led them to the Superbowl. Colin took over in Week 10 and totalled over 2200 yards with 15 TDs and completing 63% of his passes. These 3 quarterbacks rushed for a combined 16 rushing TDs and 1700 yards on the ground. All 3 of these quarterbacks were part of the Option Offense. The Option Offense has been highly debated about whether or not it will work again with teams having a full ...
Nice, nice. I think Colin Kaepernick, RG3, Russell Wilson, Cam Newton and Andrew Luck will be there one day, though.
To all my football fans that love game of football Russell Wilson is way better then Drew Brees hand down enough said
NHL Stanley Cup Memorabilia from The Bradford Exchange Online
Watch out white quarterbacks you guys are starting to become dinosaurs in the NFL, thanks to Michael Vick, Colin Kaepernick, Robert Griffin, Russell Wilson, and my favorite Cam Newton.
I find the debate over the "type" of QB the NFL prefers, quite interesting. I believe the pure pocket passer will become the minority in the league 10 years from now. Most teams seeking a QB will opt for a guy who can pass effectively, yet have the physical ability and intuitiveness to run the Pistol-Spread-Option. example : RG3, Russell Wilson, Colin Kaepernick. All 3 are very capable passers, yet defenses must remain "disciplined" at all times.
West Virginia’s Geno Smith may be the best quarterback in this year’s NFL draft. He’s definitely the fastest. Smith turned in a 4.56-second 40-yard dash at the Scouting Combine on Sunday morning, the best 40 time of any quarterback in this year’s draft class. Running in the 4.5s puts Smith on par with what Russell Wilson and Colin Kaepernick ran when they were in the Combine. Both of them have shown a great ability to use that speed on the field.
Stupid people Colin Kaepernick & Russell Wilson was not in the same combine or draft.
This should be fun: Like for Colin Kaepernick! Comment for Russell Wilson! -Joey
We get it Mike Mayock liked Russell Wilson and Colin Kaepernick before everyone else
HT, WT, Speed, IQ, BENCH Press, at the NFL combine in INDY. But can they play? Russell Wilson and Colin Kaepernick still went in the 3rd
Geno Smith's 40 time is right up there with Russell Wilson (4.55) & Colin Kaepernick (4.53).
Who would you keep? RG3, Russell Wilson, or Colin Kaepernick?
Well, naturally. Not like Russell Wilson and Colin Kaepernick play behind two of the best lines in football.
After allowing Colin Kaepernick to set a new NFL record for rushing yards by a quarterback in a playoff loss to the 49ers, the Packers know they have to get better at stopping running quarterbacks. And so their coaches are making like Rodney Dangerfield and going back to school. Packers coach Mike M...
Manuel: "I don’t have to be Colin Kaepernick or Russell Wilson. I can be E.J. Manuel. But I do see a lot of my abilities in those guys."
I love football, but the NFL Combine doesn't interest me at all. You have 3 or 4 years of tape to see a player in game mode against a wide variety of competition. That's all you need. Yet somehow, if a player runs a 4.2 40, and benches 225 pounds 25 times, he is suddenly worthy of a 1st round pick. Colin Kaepernick was not overly impressive at the Combine. Russell Wilson was too short to even think about being legitimate. But guess what? They are FOOTBALL players. You can't measure heart. The scouts overlook that little fact every single stinking year.
"He was been working on his throwing fundamentals in San Diego with quarterback guru George Whitfield, whose recent clients includes Cam Newton, Andrew Luck, Robert Griffin III, Russell Wilson, Col...
My view of the youngest batch of QBs after season one starting. RGIII - his body won't hold up and career short lived. Andrew Luck - The real deal. Championships in his future. Russell Wilson - He will be solid as long as he has solid weapons. He won't be a put the team on your back kind of guy long-term. Colin Kaepernick (sp?) - Mike Vick 2.0. Lots of athleticism and promise, but more durable. Maybe. But he and the pistol O will continue to be more accurately defended as more tape is available to study. I don't believe he will be a flop per say, but as the run is locked up, he becomes an average passer in a gimmick O, that much like the short-lived wildcat, will be solved.
50% of the nation wants Andrew Luck to be their QB for the next 10 years over RGIII, Colin Kaepernick, Cam Newton and Russell Wilson? lol no
Former Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum said on that he'd take Russell Wilson over Andrew Luck, RG3 and Colin Kaepernick? I laughed. Hard
Former GM says he'd build franchise around Russell Wilson before Colin Kaepernick and RGIII
This year Andrew Luck turns 24, Russell Wilson turns 25, and Colin Kaepernick turns 26. Today just turned 23.
In a 40 yard dash who would win Russell Wilson, Colin Kaepernick, or all contestants wearing heels
Interesting.Bears are 1-8 vs. the Packers since Cutler has joined the that span the highest points the Bears have scored against them is 21.and McCown started that game. Colin Kaepernick, Russell Wilson and Christian Ponder beat them last year. Is Cutler who we think he is???
Russell Wilson..a list of QB's he's beaten in the regular season...Aaron Rogers, Tom Brady, Tony Romo, Cam Newton, Colin Kaepernick and RG3...and still he didnt win ROY Award...
Russell Wilson is better than RG3 and Colin Kaepernick...any receiver or quarterback understands why...
Uhh, why is Colin Kaepernick and Andrew Luck options for this top 5 QB list, but no Russell Wilson.
Russell Wilson, Colin Kaepernick, Robert Griffin 3, Andrew Lucks= quarterbacks of the decade.
Interesting topic on Sports radio today. Who is the better QB right now? Russell Wilson or Colin Kaepernick?
So the debate goes on regarding whether or not Joe Flacco is an "elite" QB. Well, here's a list of QBs I would take ahead of him (in no particular order). RG3, Eli Manning, Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, Ben Roethlisberger, Matt Ryan, Matthew Stafford, Colin Kaepernick, Andrew Luck, and Russell Wilson. So I have him as the 13th best QB in the league at best. If that makes him elite, then yes, he's elite.
Colin Kaepernick can look forward to a career where he's Charles Barkley to Russell Wilson as Michael Jordan...
Playoff QBs not drafted in Rd 1 by current team: Peyton Manning, Colin Kaepernick, Russell Wilson, Andy Dalton, Matt Schaub, Tom Brady.
RGIII won Rookie of the Year, not Russell Wilson, not Colin Kaepernick, not Andrew Luck, RGIII.
Top Christian Dating Scroller 728x90
You know one thing though, Colin Kaepernick is better than RG3, Russell Wilson, Andrew Luck, Cam Newton, Sam Bradford, and many other QBs
If Kaepernick ever realizes that he can run on 80% of his third down dropbacks, the NFL is in real trouble. There were at least a few times tonight when he could have easily picked up huge yards, instead forcing the ball into tight coverage. This kid just played his 10th game. RG3 is shifty and super fast (or was). Russell Wilson is modern-day Steve McNair, great potential. Luck is the prototypical pocket passer with a lot of savvy and great feet. Colin Kaepernick has the greatest ceiling of any QB in NFL history. He will only get better. He'll be back. Soon. Should be fun.
Congrats to Corey Graham UNH now has a Super Bowl Champ...Joe Flacco playoff stats: 13 tds 0 ints...Colin Kaepernick is still an amazing qb regardless extremely curious to see who pans out as the best next generation qb Andrew Luck/RGIII/Colin Kaepernick/Russell Wilson...
Just read an article on how Colin Kaepernick is the most dangerous QB in football. Have people forgot that QB's like RGIII, Russell Wilson, Tom Brady, Eli and Payton Manning, Aaron Rodgers, Andrew Luck and *** even Cam Newton are in the league? Kaep is a good player, but before we crown this dude let's not forget that SF was a fumble away form the SB last season. Some of the QB's I mentioned took non-playoff teams to the playoffs and Wilson was 30 seconds away from the championship game.
Colin Kaepernick ,RG3 ,Russell Wilson have shown that minorities do have the ability to play quarterback in todays NFL .I remember a time when very few minority qbs would'nt even get a look .most of the time they would get signed as a wr ,db ,rb,kr,or a pr . Don't forget that James Harris when he was with the Buffalo Bills in 1971 ,later with the Los Angeles Rams and the San Diego Chargers .Two years later Joe Gilliam ,from Grambling State lead the Pittsburgh Steelers to the playoffs until his injury knocked him leaving the door open for Terry Bradshaw to lead the Steelers that year to win their first Super Bowl win over the Minnesota Vikings . There is still that climate in todays NFL where blacks are seen more at any position than qb ,but with the more progressive thinking of the professional coaches and owners the future looks bright for black qbs to where their talents shine brighter than the color of their skin . One qb if I owned an NFL team I would've given a shot at qb would've been Armanti Edward ...
Nobody has a higher QB rating in the last 10 games than Colin Kaepernick. Not Russell Wilson, not Tom Brady, not Matt Ryan.
Why can't the Browns get a QB like Colin Kaepernick or Russell Wilson? Lousy scouting or talent assessment? Hmmm...
Greeny brought up a good question this morning: You're building an NFL franchise, which of the following QBs under the age of 25 would you build around? Andrew Luck, RG III, Russell Wilson, Cam Newton, Andy Dalton, or Colin Kaepernick?
I thought some Cowboys fans were HILARIOUS, dillusional and psychotic. But this one 49ers fan has them all a long shot. How dare someone say Colin Kaepernick is better than Cam Newton, Russell Wilson and RG3. Blasphemy!
At Senior Bowl practices this week, NFL scouts are eyeing Ryan Nassib, E.J. Manuel and Tyler Wilson, wondering if any of them could become the next Colin Kaepernick or Russell Wilson, stepping in to lead their teams to the playoffs.
The last few years, especially this year, we've seen a huge evolution of the Quarter Back. This new breed includes young stars such as Cam Newton, Colin Kaepernick, Robert Griffin III, and Russell Wilson. These guys are all strong runners, and on top of that, top notch (spelling?) throwers. All have had success running the Zone Read Option, and in Kaepernick's and Griffin's cases, the Pistol Formation. Do you think that this new breed of Quarter Back will last? Or is this just a gimmick offense/QB that won't last? -The Rock
Russell Wilson, RG3, Andrew Luck, and Colin Kaepernick only played one year so I won't give them that yet over Vick.
Best coach decisions this year: 49ers starting Colin Kaepernick over Alex Smith and Seahawks starting Russell Wilson over Matt Flynn. Thoughts!
With the success of quarterbacks in the NFL like Colin Kaepernick, Russell Wilson and Cam Newton, why wouldn't someone take a look at former Mizzou quarterback Brad Smith as their next quarterback? Dude can run, throw and is extremely smart.
Three of the better gutsy coaching decisions this NFL season: Pete Carroll going with rookie QB Russell Wilson after the Seahawks signed Matt Flynn as a free agent. Jim Harbaugh staying with Colin Kaepernick at QB after Alex Smith was healthy again to start. The Baltimore Ravens firing their offensive coordinator and installing Jim Caldwell into the position, although the fired OC might not be too happy about it.

Who do you take if you can choose between Cam Newton, Colin Kaepernick, Andrew Luck, Robert Griffin III, & Russell Wilson?
QB's that are immobile are soon to be an endangered species thanks to Colin Kaepernick, Russell Wilson, Cam Newton, & RGIII
In this playoffs, Fins passed on Matt Ryan & Joe Flacco in '08. Andy Dalton & Colin Kaepernick in '11. Russel Wilson in '12. 1/2 the QBs
NFL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME TIME! Here we go with my predictions: Much like every expert on every sports station, I'm taking the 49ers to put a pretty good beating on the Atlanta Falcons. I don't say this is a die-hard 49er fan, but all the logic points that way. Atlanta's defense is mediocre, their running game is mediocre, and their passing game is only good when Ryan can sit in the pocket. The 49ers have the best run-defense in the league with a top 3 pass rush. Matt Ryan will not be throwing comfortably. On the offensive side, the Falcons have struggled all year with mobile quarterbacks. Cam Newton torched them, and they gave up a 28 point lead to Russel Wilson and they now face Colin Kaepernick who's bigger, stronger, and faster than Wilson. In the AFC it's going to be a really close hard-hitting matchup. Logic tells me that the Patriots are going to win a close 3-7 point game, but I want the Baltimore Ravens to pull this off so we can have the Harbowl!
Chicago Sun-Times sports columnist Rick Morrissey's article on the Chicago Bears new coach wrote "The first thing he needs to do is stop treating Cutler as though he's something special. He isn't. If Gabe Carimi could protect Cutler the way Lovie Smith did, the Bears wouldn't have offensive-line problems. Cutler is a quarterback who should feel lucky he has a chance to prove more than what he has proved so far in Chicago. If they watched the playoffs last weekend, they have to know Cutler isn't in the same league as Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Russell Wilson, Peyton Manning, Matt Ryan, Colin Kaepernick or even Joe Flacco. The Bears have invested a lot of money in Cutler, and I'm sure they're thinking that, at this point, they can't find anyone better. But he hasn't improved as a quarterback here. I'm worried that in hiring Trestman, Emery is giving in to the idea that the coach has to have a special relationship with Cutler; i.e., that he has to be sensitive to every one of Cutler's mood swings. That's the ...
Interesting debate on NBC sports radio tonight. Of these 4 qb's which would you rather have right now. Russell Wilson, RG3, Colin kaepernick or Andrew Luck?
My thoughts, the NFL, government and more: Colin Kaepernick is the hot ticket in the NFL, his speed, size hard throwing motion. Ever stop to think Russel Wilson, Robert Griffin third, Cam Newton, now Colin(nothing personal against these guys). Tim Tebow excellent athlete, won tons in college, drafted in the first round, got the Broncos further than Manning. Everyone says he has a long bad throwing motion, Colin’s motion in long, ala Tebow. Robert third has a gimmick college offense. Did Tim get a fair chance, I can’t be certain but I think I know why. He openly believes in values and God (not saying the others don’t but Tim is open about it…in a world that doesn’t want values that is why he isn’t a hot commodity). People planning gun rallies in offense of Obama, I’m not a fan of Obama but what is the problem about background and mental checks on people who want guns? Stop selling assault weapons (again what’s the harm?) Everyone got so worked up about the Aurora tragedy and school ...
Example...Calvin Johnson, Colin Kaepernick, and Russell Wilson. All players drafted for the MLB, and tearing up very one in the NFL.
the greatest coaching move this year I've seen is Pete Carroll making a decision to start his rookie quarterback Russell Wilson. he took a allot of heat for the decision. and it paid off. second greatest coaching decision. Jim Harborough replacing Alex Smith with Colin Kaepernick. who took a lot of heat for not putting him in sooner. I think the day in age of the old school coach is over. I believe these coaches need some current college experience to know their personal better. props to both coaches. both coaches deserve coach of the year
Where does everyone rank the following quarterbacks (out of 32): Joe Flacco, Andy Dalton, Russell Wilson, Matt Schuab, Andrew Luck, and Colin Kaepernick?
QB Colin Kaepernick has the best Total QBR in the NFL in the last 9 weeks (82.8). Russell Wilson (81.7) ranks 2nd.
I know they are our rival but I'd like to see Colin Kaepernick take the Niners all the way. It's guys like him and Russell Wilson that make this such an awesome sport.
for another installment in the free press -- dont believe what you read. why is it written? fear, controversy, crisis sell newspapers. newspapers write for people who can read at the eighth grade level, but reading at the eighth grade level only gets them in trouble because they cant do eighth grade math. also, even those with math degrees cannot do the math and produce the clarity. what they can do, in general is tell you that politics and professional sports teams are interesting, but what we do best is fear, controversy, and cxrisis. in other words this is from a so called NFL expert on the cbs football site..."3. The big winner of that Atlanta-Seattle game? San Francisco. There's no way the 49ers wanted to meet Seattle again, and, OK, so they're 1-2 in domes this year and quarterback Colin Kaepernick is 2-2 on the road. Big deal. Tell me the 49ers didn't watch Russell Wilson shred the Falcons in the second half and salivate. Atlanta didn't have an answer for Wilson. I don't see how they have one ...
The way the NFL offenses are changing into the spread option with QBs like RG3, Russell Wilson, and Colin Kaepernick.. TIm Tebow would beast
