While some people continue to give San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick heat for his numerous off-field endorsements, 49ers quarterbacks have been no stranger to them. From QB Steve Young to QB Joe Montana many of the 49ers star quarterbacks have been striking endorsements from day one.
Mukhang the 49ers are resurging and heading back to the days of Joe Montana. Colin Kaepernick is a very good QB.
San Francisco Hall Of Fame quarterback Joe Montana visited with current quarterback Colin Kaepernick and Pro Bowl linebacker Patrick Willis over the weekend.
Nobody feels sorry for Johnny Manziel, right? He's a Heisman Trophy winner from an oil rich family in Texas. He probably had sex with half the pretty girls in College Station and a few dozen more in Austin by the time he was a sophomore. This is after he was a larger than life football hero in High School, in Texas! --Not saying we should celebrate such male conquest but his path has not been any real struggle. Now he's drafted in the first round of the NFL and will make millions instantly with contracts/endorsements, even if he doesn't become a hugely successful NFL player. Plus, getting drafted lower certainly doesn't mean you can't become a star QB. Joe Montana to Tom Brady to Colin Kaepernick and Russell Wilson, are some of the best examples. Brady being the best one ever. None of them were even first round picks and Brady was drafted in the sixth round. So, hopefully for Cleveland Browns fans, Johnny's gotten most of the spoiled *** out of him in college but you never know... He's only 21 years ...
Bell: Joe Montana has some advice for 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick
Come on, Peyton, there is still time. I mean, realistically, no, there isn't. You're not Joe Montana or Steve Young or even Alex Smith or Colin Kaepernick. But, theoretically, there is still time.
Colin Kaepernick isn't the next Joe Montana. Joe Cool said himself that he needs to grow as a NFL quarterback.
Joe Montana believes Colin Kaepernick has plenty of room for improvement:
Dear joe Montana, "Got anything else to say after that last play? Signed Kiss the biceps Colin Kaepernick.

Question: Which nfl quarterback has most road playoff wins? Answer: Len Dawson, Roger Staubach, Jake Delhomme, Joe Flacco, and Mark Sanchez all have 4 road playoff wins. Colin Kaepernick could tie them this week. And he can also break Jake Delhomme's record of winning his first three ever road playoff games. Drew Brees one road win is tied with Joe Montana and more than Steve Young's zero.

May the power of Joe Montana and Steve Young inspire Colin Kaepernick! Go Niners!
Sad day for my 49er organization!! Final game in Candlestick Park oh the memories of all the greats... Jerry Rice, Joe Montana, John Taylor, Brent Jones, Kevin Gogan, Merton Hanks, Tim McDonald, Ronnie Lott, Steve Young, Ricky Watters, Terrell T.O. Owens, Dana Stubblefield, Bryant Young, Ken Norton Jr, Tom Rathman, Garrison Hearst man the list goes on!!! But for the new age bunch Frank Gore, Michael Crabtree, Vernon Davis, Patrick Willis,Colin Kaepernick yall boys ball out tonight n go out with a BANG!!! NINER NATION 4 LIFE!
Tonight's MNF game features the 49ers and Atlanta game. As a long-time (and now former) season ticket holder, Candlestick Park (while a dump!) holds lots of fond memories of some wonderful games from the Bill Walsh, Joe Montana, Ronnie Lott, Dwight Clark, Jerry Rice, Steve Young and too many others to mention era, and the opportunity with Colin Kaepernick and the current team, including Frank Gore, Vernon Davis, Patrick Willis, Anquan Boldin, Justin Smith, Aldon Smith, Joe Staley, Phil Dawson, and Coach Jim Harbaugh for future success. When Jed York first took over the San Francisco 49ers, I admit, I didn't like him much. But he has proven himself to be a good owner and love that he gets advice from Eddie DeBartolo -- THE VERY BEST NFL Team owner. No matter how this season finishes, you all should be proud of what you have accomplished!
Today I probably visited Candlestick Park for the last time. Over the years I seen a number of GIANTS games even though I am a DODGERS fan but, even more 49ERS games.including. memories of four NFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES.MANY PLAYOFF GAMES.and tons of regular season games in which I have seen all but two teams play at least once.from John Brodie to Colin Kaepernick and all the greats in between. Joe Montana, Steve Young, Jerry Rice, Ronnie Lott just to name a few. So many fantastic games vs teams like the Dallas Cowboys and the Green Bay Packers of the 90's...The Christmas Day game vs Houston Oilers and Warren Moon...these are only a few. I have taken thousands of photographs including the ones I took today vs the Seattle Seahawks. as I drove away from Candlestick Park tonight. I drove away with mixed emotions. I was elated to see that my Niners beat the Seahawks but saddened that I may never see this place again..,... I did leave my heart in San Francisco.
Is Colin Kaepernick Held to a Different Standard Than Division Rival Russell Wilson? Yahoo Contributor Network By Vincent Frank Oct 11, 2013 11:43 AM COMMENTARY | Maybe it comes with being one of the youngest quarterbacks to lead his team to the Super Bowl. Maybe it's Colin Kaepernick's perceived mentality off the field. Heck, it could even be the way the San Francisco 49ers' quarterback holds himself on the field. Put it any which way, but it seems that the third-year quarterback is held to a much different standard than other young signal callers around the National Football League. From the Sporting News' well-documented attack on his character due to tattoos to Rick Reilly's questionable ESPN article on Kaepernick's relationship with his birth mother, it seems that he's a divisive figure around the media world. This has taken an even more elaborate turn with Kaepernick's struggles over the course of his last four games. During that span, the young quarterback has tallied 557 passing yards and three to ...
Saw the Mighty Wings ad with Colin Kaepernick and Joe Flacco Its like Jordan and Bird and Lebron and Dwight. Think it's gonna be Joe Montana eating the wings
The same guy I know that tried to convince me of how bad a quarterback Peyton Manning is, also tried to convince me that Colin Kaepernick is the next Joe Montana. Let us hold off on the Hall Of Fame nomination for a couple of years shall we?
I think it is weird that Colin Kaepernick is a Miami Dolphins fan. I can't imagine Joe Montana or Steve Young wearing an other team's logos. Then again I can't imagine these Hall Of Famers losing a Super Bowl either.
So last night I had a dream that I met Joe Montana and got his autograph! While I was talking to Joe, I also got to meet Colin Kaepernick. Maybe it means today will be a good day.
Joe Montana, Steve Young or Colin Kaepernick. Who would you pick for starting 49ers quarterback.
Steve Young takes over for Joe Montana, Montana goes to the chiefs Colin kaepernick takes over for Alex Smith, smith goes to the chiefs

To all the real homies out there! If you want to buy me a Colin Kaepernick jersey, Delanie Walker jersey, Dashon Goldson jersey, Joe Montana jersey, or a Jerry Rice jersey I'd be eternally greatful! :D
... The day after ... Well .. at least we know that Jim Harbaugh/Colin Kaepernick will never be confused for Bill Walsh/Joe Montana ..
Always find it interesting in sports how in the postmortem of a game as big as the Super Bowl how the narrative would be completely different today if the 49ers had scored a touchdown there in the last two minutes and held onto win. I had no rooting interest in the game, but the story today could just have easily been the Ravens choked away the biggest lead in the history of the Super Bowl and that Colin Kaepernick won a Super Bowl in his only his 10th start and is the 2nd coming of Joe Montana. Hey, at least the media is predictable in all of their 2nd guessing of the 49ers today, I'll give them that.
Best Super Bowl since when Namath won for the Jets in the last second. FINALLY: they play to WIN the SB; they no longer play not to lose. I predicted the Ravens would win two weeks ago. HOORAY! Yeah, the 49ers were losers, but Colin Kaepernick is a brilliant quarterback. Maybe he'll start a dynasty like Joe Montana did. And maybe he'll open up the game's strategy and bring more excitement with Q.B. runs.
Take a shot when: 1. The cameras finally find Baltimore Ravens coach John and the San Francisco 49ers’ Coach Jim Harbaugh's parents Jack and Jackie in the stands. 2. Announcers debate Ravens' linebacker Ray Lewis' use of "deer antler spray." 3. You spot one of 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick's tattoos. 4. Kaepernick kisses his bicep. 5. Ravens lineman Michael Oher and The Blind Side are used in the same sentence. 6. Announcers ask whether 49ers wide receiver Randy Moss is really the "greatest wide receiver ever." 7. Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs is referred to as T-Sizzle. 8. One of your friends tries to pronounce Ravens defensive tackle's Haloti Ngata's name and gets it wrong. 9. You spot the "Art" patch on a Raven's jerseys. 10. Joe Montana and the 49ers Super Bowl history is mentioned. 11. Ray Lewis and Hall Of Fame are used in the same sentence. 12. Announcers mention Ravens Senior Advisor to Player Development O.J. Brigance and his battle with ALS. 13. Announcers refer to the game as the HarBo ...
30 years ago I sat and watched Joe Montana throw a pass to Dwight Clark in the endzone for a touchdown. The Catch help beat Dallas and begin the First 49er's Dynasty that included 5 Superbowl wins. Today a young Colin Kaepernick will lead the 49er's to their 6th Superbowl win and the start of the New Dynasty. 49er's Baby!
I am a huge Dallas Cowboy fan and always will and everyone is entitled to their own opinion and with that said, I would take Joe Flacco or Colin Kaepernick over Tony Romo. Romo might have great stats for his career but the bottom line is he is 1-3 in the post season. Kaepernick is 2-0 and has not even played a whole season as a starter and 1 win away from getting a Super Bowl ring. As for Flacco he is 8-4 and playing for it as well.
5 days left until the 49ers claim their 6th Superbowl ring. (When the Niners win on Sunday) Colin Kaepernick will do what Joe Montana Steve Young and Alex Smith could not do; win a Superbowl in his rookie year.
I may be a little bias because i have been a Randy Moss fan since i was like 12 but give him Joe Montana and Steve Young and he is hands down the best WR in NFL history. Moss has been through Quarterbacks such as: Randall Cunningham, Brad Johnson, Daunte Culpepper, Jeff George, Todd Bauman, Spergon Wynn, Gus Ferotte, Brett Favre, Joe Webb, Tarvaris Jackson, Kerry Collins, Marques Tuiasosopo, Andrew Walter, Aaron Brooks, Tom Brady, Matt Cassell, Rusty Smith, Alex Smith, and Colin Kaepernick. Let the debate begin.
Colin Kaepernick is the same age as Joe Montana was when he won his first Superbowl...25. The one difference is Colin has the 3rd fewest professional starts going into a Superbowl in history. This is not a disadvantage, but maybe a good omen!
Montana picks 49ers to win, reminisces about quarterback switch, marvels at Kaepernick POSTED BY CAM INMAN ON JANUARY 28TH, 2013 AT 9:17 AM | CATEGORIZED AS UNCATEGORIZED Joe Montana expects the 49ers to win Super Bowl XLVII on Sunday, and he’ll be there to see it, only the second Super Bowl he’ll have attended as a fan. Montana spoke to KNBR 680-AM on Tuesday, exactly 23 years ago to the day when he won his fourth and final Super Bowl ring in the 49ers’ 55-10 rout of the Denver Broncos at the Superdome. “I think the 49ers are going to win, but it’s going to be fun,”Montana told the “Murph and Mac” show. “Both quarterbacks are playing well, both defenses are playing well.” Colin Kaepernick will be making only his 10th start as the 49ers quarterback since replacing Alex Smith. That switch was the biggest sinceMontana and Steve Young set the standard for quarterback controversies 25 years ago. “I’ve been in that situation, and I missed a lot longer time,”Montana said in reference t ...

Colin Kaepernick seeks level of 49ers' Joe Montana -
Colin Kaepernick seeks level of 49ers' Joe Montana - ;
Colin Kaepernick has the Joe Montana chicken legs. Hopefully that's a sign that he's the next Joe Montana ;)
Colin Kaepernick seeks level of Joe Montana -
It's been a great week. Been watching all my Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, Steve Young, Vernon Davis, Alex Smith and Colin Kaepernick playoff and Super Bowl film getting ready for the Super Bowl. Who's got it better than us?? NOBODY!
Colin Kaepernick joins HOFers Joe Montana & Steve Young as only QBs to take historic 49ers franchise to the Super Bowl.
The San Francisco 49ers think they have the dream answer with a new Mike Vick style Quarterback in Colin Kaepernick…. Instead the Atlanta Falcons now have our own Joe Montana style legend rising up with Matt Ryan aka “Matty Ice”! So Niners fans welcome to the Georgia Dome tomorrow, and please expect ICE!
Get ready for tomarow. We are coming for number six and we have the Double threat to do it. Colin Kaepernick and Crabtree. Its like Joe Montana and Jerry Rice all over again. You know the Falcons are Skeered lmao
Never did I dream how fast Colin Kaepernick would turn out so good in a short amount of time. He took that starting job from Alex Smith and never look back. I look at all these young QB Kaepernick, Newton, RG3 and Wilson saying dam NFC got some good young QB. While Andrew Luck is doing great in the AFC. But Kaepernick he is a lot bigger then all those other young guys. What I mean he is built and can really throw the football down the field. Yes he runs from time to time but he also not just using his head and stay in the pocket. I don't really feel that bad for Smith like a lot of the 49ers fans have been. Hey Alex Smith you did a good job last year. But Kaepernick is just that much better. I hope Smith does well were every he goes. This is just the neature of the business. It happen when Tom Brady took over for Drew in New England. Heck it happen even with the 49ers when Steve Young took over the man I loved so much Joe Montana. I hated it but it was the right move this is why Jim is a great coach. Coli ...
So Tom Brady who grew up just down the street from where I live and was a childhood Niners fan was just asked about Joe Montana and Steve Young. He said they were in another class... Yeah I think the Niner legacy will have Kaepernick to add soon.
Dale Schaan, a San Francisco 49ers season-ticket holder for 30 years, believes Colin Kaepernick is the 49ers' quarterback of the present and the future. But he doesn't want him to be the next Joe Montana.
After the Steve Young and Joe Montana years, it is finally fun to watch the 49ers again with Colin Kaepernick playing now.
Joe Montana won 4 Super Bowls with Bill Walsh and the 49ers. Steve Young won his with George Seifert. Yep, again with the 9ers. How many will Colin Kaepernick win with Coach Jim Harbaugh???
Think about this, even if u combine Steve Young's and Joe Montana's debut starts as QBs for the Niners, they still didnt have better stats than Colin Kaepernick's debut. Hm
Skip Bayless, you're so righ! The 49ers' coach should immediately make Colin Kaepernick the starting quarterback. On his first start, ever, on Monday Night Football, he demonstrated a presence and demeanor that only the great Joe Montana could. I see several championships in this young quarterback. I really enjoyed the game. It was exciting and uplifting!
It's not exactly Joe Montana vs. Steve Young, but it is a legitimate, bonafide, honest-to-goodness quarterback controversy we've got going in San Francisco -- and not just because of what backup Colin Kaepernick did to Chicago Monday night but because of what his head coach said afterward.
Just some fun facts from last night's game via my account on SportStreet.com: -In his first NFL start, Colin Kaepernick completed more passes, had more passing yards and threw for more touchdowns than Joe Montana and Steve Young had in their first start with the 49ers COMBINED. -Colin Kaepernick had the best starting debut in terms of Total QBR by any player over the last 5 seasons.
Apparently, Jim Harbaugh has created a bit of a quarterback controversy in San Francisco. Actually, Colin Kaepernick kind of created it. Gotta stick with Alex Smith, but it's nice to see that when Alex is ineffective, the niners have a viable option at quarterback. This is the best niners team I've seen since Joe Montana and Bill Walsh.
Colin Kaepernick threw for more yards (243) and TD (2) than Joe Montana and Steve Young’s debuts combined.
Joe Montana. Steve Young. Colin Kaepernick. I watched ALL THREE play their very first games, so I know what I'm talking about when I say it's Kaepernick that's going to bring another Championship parade to S.F. and not Alex Smith. Mark my words.
Colin Kaepernick put on his best Joe Montana impression tonight as the Niners own the Bears on national TV. After last week's baffling tie game, it's fun to see a good old fashioned throttling. The Bears will be having night terrors about the Smiths for a while now.
This game might be rekindling memories for Hall Of Fame quarterback Steve Young, who is in the Candlestick house as an ESPN analyst. it might be too early to declare Colin Kaepernick as a legitimate quarterback worthy of a camparison to young, but he’s making a strong case. Steve Young did a similar thing on a Monday night 25 years at Candlestick against these same Bears. In a 41-0 blanking of Chicago, Young subbed for the injured Joe Montana and threw four touchdown passes. He only completed 9 of 19 attempts that night for an even 100 yards. Nevertheless, Young announced himself as a player after his forgettable NFL start in Tampa Bay. Of course it took Young another five years to wrest control of the 49ers’ starting job from Joe Montana in a legendary quarterback controversy that nearly tore the team asunder. Should Kaepernick continue with his superlative play, no such controversy will exist.
Man, Joe Montana is carving the Bears up... Oh wait, it's Colin Kaepernick!
