GOP to America: We're going to defund Homeland Security. Cause we don't need no stinkin Coast Guard, Border Patrol, FEMA, or Secret Service
From Washington News for the Enlisted Monday December 15, 2014 Well sometime this week the Senate should adjourn for the holidays and the 113th session of Congress will be over, unless something blows up and everyone has to return after Christmas. That is extremely, EXTREMELY unlikely but we have been surprised before. What we are not looking at is a federal government shutdown before the end of the Fiscal Year. On Friday the Senate passed the NDAA and on Saturday after a good deal of drama they passed the CROmnibus that will finance most of the federal government through September 30th 2015. The exception is the Department of Homeland Security which will only be funded through February- which may be real trouble for the Coast Guard but more on that down below. The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) passes Congress/ now to the President for his signature Coburn Holding Up Veteran Suicide Prevention Bill New Members Appointed to VA Advisory Committee on Minority Veterans Bill Would Take Construction ...
EXECUTIVE ORDER - - - - - - - ORDERING THE SELECTED RESERVE AND CERTAIN INDIVIDUAL READY RESERVE MEMBERS OF THE Armed Forces TO ACTIVE DUTY By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, including sections 121 and 12304 of title 10, United States Code, I hereby determine that it is necessary to augment the active Armed Forces of the United States for the effective conduct of Operation United Assistance, which is providing support to civilian-led humanitarian assistance and consequence management support related to the Ebola virus disease outbreak in West Africa. In furtherance of this operation, under the stated authority, I hereby authorize the Secretary of Defense, and the Secretary of Homeland Security with respect to the Coast Guard when it is not operating as a service in the Navy, under their respective jurisdictions, to order to active duty any units, and any individual members not assigned to a unit organized to serve as a unit of the S ...

13 Proofs That Dept. Of Homeland Security Has Become Obama’s Standing Army by NTEB News Desk by NTEB Contributor John W. Whitehead of the Rutherford Institute "A standing military force, with an overgrown Executive will not long be safe companions to liberty." James Madison If the United States is a police state, then the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is its national police force, with all the brutality, ineptitude and corruption such a role implies. In fact, although the DHS’ governmental bureaucracy may at times appear to be inept and b***ling, it is ruthlessly efficient when it comes to building what the Founders feared most—a standing army on American soil. The third largest federal agency behind the Departments of Veterans Affairs and Defense, the DHS—with its 240,000 full-time workers, $61 billion budget and sub-agencies that include the Coast Guard, Customs and Border Protection, Secret Service, Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency ...
Washington, DC—Resident Commissioner Pedro Pierluisi announced today that the Fiscal Year 2015 Department of Homeland Security Appropriations Act, which was approved by the House Appropriations Committee, contains multiple provisions directing the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to increase the level of resources it assigns to Puerto Rico to reduce drug trafficking and related violence.  These provisions will help DHS build on the law enforcement success it has had in Puerto Rico since 2012, after years of the agency paying insufficient attention to the territory.  The language is the most recent product of Pierluisi’s efforts to improve the federal response to the public safety crisis in Puerto Rico.   DHS includes the U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and the Transportation Security Administration, all of which are critical in the effort to address drug trafficking and violent crime.   In 2009, there were about 900 ...
Posse Comitatus. How about Posse Comi_Not us! remember the pesky federal law? dang those pesky laws... unless...YOU ARE THE KING! Then those laws don't matter. The Posse Comitatus Act is the United States federal law (18 U.S.C. § 1385, original at 20 Stat. 152) that was passed on June 18, 1878, after the end of Reconstruction and was updated in 1981. Its intent (in concert with the Insurrection Act of 1807) was to limit the powers of Federal government in using federal military personnel to enforce the state laws. The Act, as modified in 1981, refers to the Armed Forces of the United States. It does not apply to the National Guard under state authority from acting in a law enforcement capacity within its home state or in an adjacent state if invited by that state's governor. The United States Coast Guard, which operates under the Department of Homeland Security, is also not covered by the Posse Comitatus Act, primarily because the Coast Guard has both a maritime law enforcement mission and a federal regu ...
The Obama administration is urging the Senate to reject a House-passed Coast Guard Authorization Bill, saying the legislation would weaken federal marine safety programs and increase costs to the Coast Guard. In an April 17 letter to Sen. Jay Rockefeller, chairman of the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee, Brian de Vallance, acting assistant secretary for legislative affairs at the Department of Homeland Security, said the administration “strongly opposes” the House bill and urges the Senate to delete many aspects of that proposal. “The bill would sharply increase the cost of shipping emergency food aid, potentially denying relief to more than 2 million persons in need annually,” he wrote. “Additionally, it would degrade federal marine safety regimes, increase risks within the maritime operational environment, and both increase the Coast Guard’s operating costs and prevent the service from realizing planned savings.” Also, the letter said, the bill fails to include other C ...
The Fleet Reserve Association (FRA) is a congressionally chartered, non-profit organization that represents the interests of the Sea Service community before the U.S. Congress. The Association is named after the Navy’s program for personnel transferring to the Fleet Reserve or Fleet Marine Corps Reserve after 20 or more years of active duty, but less than 30 years for retirement purposes and its membership is comprised of current and former enlisted members of the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard. The Association was founded by Navy Chief Yeoman George L. Carlin, and chartered in 1924 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. FRA was born out of the need for an organization to protect the pay and benefits of enlisted Sea Service members and their families on Capitol Hill. FRA also assists its members with career problems by maintaining close liaison with the Departments of Defense, Veterans Affairs, Homeland Security, and other government agencies.
Chance Vs. The Man: (please read this post) There is a list of words that set off DHS alerts for security threats. If any of these words are used. you are flagged and "watched" more closely. because i am an American, and I believe in free speech. and i believe that the Government works FOR ME (not the other way around) I will now post every single one of the words that will flag me as a suspected "terrorist". I encourage anyone who is also an American to follow suite and repost this to their page. lets all post this and everyone get flagged as a "terrorist". The US needs to put all reserves under the Coast Guard under Homeland Security and have a force of 60k tops.
Here are some things people may not know about me. 1. I was the typical jock in high school and I was an *** to some people. Growing up taught me alot. Now I'm an *** to everyone. 2. I know people know I wheel alot but I consider some of the places I have been some of the most beautiful places in the world. Part of the reason I plan on staying in Alaska and have so much pride in this state. 3. I was firefighter of the year of the Department of Homeland Security in 2003. I attended the International Fire Chiefs conference in Dallas to receive the award in front of 10 people and hung out with the world champion team in the Firefighter combat challenge all week . We wrecked that town. Great times. 4. My greatest achievement in my life was being part of the Precommisioning of the USCGC Alex Haley as a Damage Controlman in Baltimore MD in 1999. I was in the Coast Guard from 1995-2000. It was the most stressful and challenging job of my life. 14hr days were normal for that year but I learned how much yo ...
Order of Precedence for Flag Display According to the Department of Defense Directive 1005.8, the prescribed precedence of military flags is determined by service birthdays. The appropriate order is given below: Army Birthday --14 June 1775 Marine Corps Birthday – 10 November 1775 Navy Birthday – 13 Oct 1775-Abolished Feb 1781-Reinstated 7 Sep 1781 Air Force Birthday – 18 September 1947 *Coast Guard Birthday – 4 August 1790 *During peacetime the Coast Guard falls under the Department of Homeland Security. During wartime, if the Coast Guard comes under the control of the Department of Defense, then the Coast Guard flag would come before the Air Force flag in order of precedence.
Let me start by saying that I tell you this not to get thanks or accolades. I just want you to understand what some of things a typical veteran has been through. As many of you know I spent 4 years in the U.S. Coast Guard. During my short time in I saw the horrors of war. I spent a year and a half underway away from my family during which I received the humanitarian service medal for helping to save over 40,000 Haitian/Cuban men and women. I received the highest non-combat medal on The White House lawn by the commandant of The Coast Guard, The U.S. Secretary of Treasury (this was before they became Homeland Security) and President Bill Clinton for helping to save 30 people off a sinking fishing vessel (all but 2 of which survived). I jumped into 32 degree water and swam for what seemed hours pulling people out of the water and ended up with hypothermia myself and spent several days in the hospital. We hit 4 hurricanes one patrol and everyone was so sick that the doctor would have to puke then give you ...
Audrey Hudson's husband had just left for work on August 6 when suddenly, her dog began barking. The nationally-known journalist walked over to the curtains and peeked outside to discover her Chesapeake Bay home was surrounded by law enforcement officers wearing full body armor. The phone rang. It was her husband. "I'm in the driveway," he said. "The police are here. Open the door." And so began Hudson's nightmare - held captive by armed agents of the U.S. Coast Guard, Maryland State Police and the Department of Homeland Security as they staged a pre-dawn raid in search of unregistered firearms and a "potato gun." But instead of taking the potato gun, agents seized unrelated government documents and notes from the former Washington Times journalist. Agents took Hudson's records during a search for guns and related items owned by her husband, a civilian Coast Guard employee. They also confiscated her legally registered firearms, according to court documents obtained by The Associated Press. The armed agent ...
Blackwater and the Katrina Disaster Near the end of the book, “Blackwater”, by Jeremy Scahill, there’s this rather surprising account of the mercenary army’s first project in the United States after Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans in August 2005: “The government paid Blackwater $950 a day for each of its guards in the area. That contract kicked off a hurricane boon for Blackwater; by the end of 2005, in just three months, the government had paid Blackwater at least $33.3 million for its Katrina work for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). All of these services were justified by the government’s claim of not having enough personnel to deploy quickly in the hurricane zone. ‘We saw the costs, in terms of accountability and dollars, for this practice in Iraq, and now we are seeing it in New Orleans,’ said Illinois Democrat Jan Schakowsky, one of Blackwater’s few critics in Congress. ‘They have again given a sweetheart contract – without an open bidding process – to a co ...
If I ever go adrift on my fishing boat, I now have great faith that the awesome United States Coast Guard will come and rescue me! Very impressed with their quick response! Did you know the Coast Guard is now part of the Department of Homeland Security?
MIAMI, FL – Drugs, weapons, illegal aliens all are welcome under a new directive. There is an ongoing, emergency situation with the U.S. Coast Guard, which is now an agency under the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. “By directive, starting last Monday, 29 April 2013 (barring emergency calls) Coast Guard District 7, which stretches from the Carolinas to Alabama to Florida, has been restricted from activity. There will be no enforcement patrols of large or small craft allowed in U.S. territorial seas, district-wide,” according to a WDW confidential source. This directive will mean that, of several hundred craft available, neither the close-in enforcement operations (out to 20-nautical miles) nor the larger, blue water enforcement craft – cutters and the like – are actively engaged in protecting our shoreline. All such operations have ceased; no fuel is to be used to protect the U.S. shores, at least in District 7. All vessels would be confined to port, and personnel would be standing around, ...

New Enlistment Oaths Discussion Board on this Military Joke U.S. COAST GUARD ENLISTMENT OATH "I, (State your name), swear to sign away 4 years of my life to the United States Coast Guard because I know being in the real military scares me. However, I swear to defend our position as the fifth branch of the Armed Services, although at one point we were under the Department of Homeland Security. I understand that atleast twice a day, someone will refer to me a member of the Air Force or Navy, and when I correct them, they will question my military status. I will work on boats the size of kayaks and small yachts during the worst of natures storms, and recieve no thanks or notice form the public. I will fly in helos into the eye of the storm to rescue people dumber then rocks, and then be heckled by the same people when I bust them for transporting drugs two months later.! CONTACT YOUR LOCAL CONGRESSMEN ABOUT THE CLOSING OF TARS! Obama is endangering the lives of millions of people by shutting down the Tethered Aerostat Radar system which protects our southern borders from love flying vehicles and low altitude missles. All it will take is one low flying plane carrying a nuclear weapon and the end of one large city in our country can be wiped out. Maybe the reason Obama is targeting TARS is because the people of the south didn't vote for him. But this one truth is apparent Obama will be endangering this country on a massive level. "The Tethered Aerostat Radar System (TARS) is due to be shut down on 15 March. This shutdown will open one more door to those wishing to bring narcotics into our country or otherwise violate our Southern Border by removing a vital sensor system that is used by the Coast Guard, CBP, and other agencies. Direct the US Air Force and/or the Department of Homeland Security to continue operating this system in Puerto Rico, Florida, Texas, Arizona, and New ...
We need semi-automatic rifles with full capacity magazines for the same reason the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, police, National Guard, FBI, CIA, State Department, Secret Service, Border Patrol, and Homeland Security do – they are a very effective tool for stopping bad people from doing bad things to those we care about. Go back to the LA riots, if you were looking out your window and an armed group of thugs was heading to your front door, what weapon would you want?
This is a copy of my letter that I am directing to Department of Homeland Security, the FBI, ATF and other agencies andpublic venues... This Marine swore an oath to our secular Constitution and our family is very loyal to our Second Amendment. We own various non-assault firearms to protect our home and family. We don’t hunt or kill God’s creatures for pleasure, sport, trophy or food. The Second Amendment was given by our Founders to protect our Liberal Values, freedom from religious tyranny, and social justice for all “regardless” of the racial, religious or ethnic bigotries of the few or the many, especially those in the church-state empires of England and Rome…at a time when America had no military (read: militia). Since that time, we’ve grown and matured as a nation. We finance and support a very “well regulated militia,” the most advanced in history, from local and state police to our State and National Guard units, Marines, Army, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard. In recent years we .. ...
DHS buys more 200,000 rounds - do as we say .not as we do DHS Buys 200,000 More Rounds of Ammunition Federal government continues to arm itself to the teeth while Obama administration pushes gun control Paul Joseph Watson Infowars.com January 4, 2013 While the Obama administration sets out to eviscerate the gun rights of American citizens in the aftermath of Sandy Hook, earlier this week it was announced that the Department of Homeland Security has awarded a company a contract worth over $45,000 dollars to provide the DHS with 200,000 more rounds of bullets. This new purchase adds to the staggering figure of 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition already secured by the DHS over the last 9 months alone. A solicitation originally posted on the FedBizOpps.gov website on December 17 on behalf of the DHS Federal Law Enforcement Training Center advertised the need for 200 cases of 13–40 Cal, 180 Grain, Jacketed Hollow Point bullets, with each case containing 1000 rounds, to be delivered almost immediately as soon a ...

Why I support those in Texas who want to secede from the U.S.A.? Solely for economic reasons. The savings to the U.S. Government would be enormous.! First, we could eliminate all of the Border Patrol positions on the Texas-Mexican border. We would need to keep some of them at the Texas-U.S. border, but not as many, as I don't think Texans will want to move to New Mexico, Louisiana,etc.. We could close ALL 28 military installations there. 8 Air Force, 7 Army. 3 Navy, and 10 Coast Guard! We could relocate the bases back to the states that have lost their own over the past 30 years, and all 195,000 military personnel and their families( and their paychecks), as well. we could also move NASA to florida. We would eliminate over 250,000 Government jobs in other areas, such as Treasury, U.S.D.A., Homeland Security, etc. We could close ALL of the Federal Buildings, saving millions in operating costs. We would save in other areas such as Welfare, Medicare, Social Security payments to residents of Texas. Governor . ...

Hey Mitt, I guess you are part of the 47%, who do not pay income taxes, and you depend on the government. I am different from you, not that I do not need the government, because I do. I have Police department in my neighborhood, I have pave roads so I can drive my car to and from work, I have school system so that our young can be educated, funds for our volunteer fire department, not to mention our defense (Army, Air Force, Navy, Coast Guard, Homeland Security, FBI, and etc.) Which this is being pay by the 53% of the hard working middle class, who do not have the benefits, like you do not paying a dime into federal income tax but you have the Secret Service to protect you. So I guess, you were including yourself in those 47%, because the last time I check, I do believe the Secret Service are pay by our government. This is why I am not voting for you!

The study concludes that the American national interest is fundamentally at odds with that of Zionist Israel. Say Happy Birthday to the U.S. Coast Guard, the nations oldest, continuous sea going service. 222 years ago, Alexander Hamilton authorized the construction of 17, 3 masted Revenue Cutters which was the Coast Guard's beginning. Today they have 7 mission with the primary being Search and Rescue and Homeland Security.
Most Americans are under the false impression that the police, the hospitals, the IRS, the Federal Reserve, the Treasury, the Secret Service, the FBI, the DEA, the CIA, the Department of Homeland Security is all one thing, the Army, the Air Force, the Coast Guard, the Marines, the Navy, MI5, KGB, the Royal Guards, the Swiss Guards, the Vatican, the NYPD, the President, are all apart of a non-existent entity known as "the Government"
The RNC is in Tampa, FL starting Aug. 26th in ST. PETERSBURG, FL? It's true we will be hosting the Media Welcome Event at Tropicana Field. I was at a meeting last night given by the Secret Service and the St. Petersburg Police. We will be under the rule of the National Security Special Event or NSSE. This means all Police, Secret Service, FBI, Coast Guard, Pinellas Sheriff's Dept, and all other Homeland Security agencies will be here to keep us safe. Be prepared to show ID that you work or live in the area of Tropicana Field. Some homes may be checked or sweeped to make sure there is no safety risk there. There will be some road closures and detours. Demostrators are asked to get permits to be around the Trop. They are expecting 50,000 to 70,000 people here for the event. PSTA and School buses, trash pickup, mail delivery and more will have different routes and/or times. Look for more information in the next couple of weeks on the news and in the paper.

Now, THIS is one of a few who I wish was running for president.Congressman Lt. Col. Allen West from Florida. If you're not familiar with Congressman West then do a search. Read what he has to say about Obama's immigration move today. Dear Patriot, Greetings to our Constituents, fellow Floridians, and all Americans. As I am writing this today, I really cannot believe that President Barack Obama and his administration have failed to grasp the three fundamental premises of our Constitutional Republic: representative democracy, limited government, and separation of powers (recognizing the maxim of co-equality of branches of the Federal Government). I say that because Friday we received another surprise from the Obama Administration. At around 9:30 am, my BlackBerry buzzed as I was wrapping up speaking to the Palm Beach business forum. Once outside, I checked my messages to find, to my absolute amazement, that Secretary of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano, would be announcing, effective immediately, that ...
