Good morning, y'all! Today is the debut of the NBA regular season. There are 30 teams reaching for that one prestigious goal: the NBA championship! Out of 30 teams, 12 of the teams have African American head coaches. They are Jason Kidd of the Brooklyn Nets, Mike Brown of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Brian Shaw of the Denver Nuggets, Maurice Cheeks of the Detroit Pistons, Mark Jackson of the Golden State Warriors, Doc Rivers of the Los Angeles Clippers, Larry Drew of the Milwaukee Bucks, Monty Williams of the New Orleans Pelicans, Mike Woodson of the New York Knicks, Jacque Vaughn of the Orlando Magic, Dwane Casey of the Toronto Raptors, and Tyrone Corbin of the Utah Jazz. Only Doc Rivers has a ring when he won the title in 2008 when he coached the Boston Celtics while Jason Kidd is the only coach who won a title as a player when he did it in 2011 with the Dallas Mavericks. Brian Shaw finally got a head coaching job that was long overdue. Since he was in the shadow of legendary coach Phil Jackson, he should b ...

[OPINION] Why Miami Heat is still MOST HATED team in NBA?!? ☞ Lebron James (*a SUPERSTAR, left Cleveland Cavaliers & JOINED Miami, NOT via trade) ☞ Chris Bosh (*a SUPERSTAR, left Toronto Raptors & JOINED Miami, via sign-and-trade) ☞ Ray Allen (*an ALL-STAR, left Boston Celtics & JOINED Miami, NOT via trade) ☞ MOST of them FLOP more than Ginobili does (*actors on court!) ☞ MOST of them disrespects their Head Coach Erik Spoelstra (*he sometimes gets shoved!) ☞ Dwayne Wade once said "99% of your HATERS either owe you or don't know you! Tell them to rest in peace cause they are obviously dying to be you!" ☞ Chris Bosh talks a lot when he scores (*his mouth opens up so wide!) ☞ The Heat play with so much confidence that, at times, it seems like they are more concerned with how they look than winning the game at hand. ☞ Your friends and Family are rooting for the Miami Heat even though they don’t know a lot about the Heat. (*ask them a simple question and they don’t know the answer) ☞ Ev ...
Why Basketball Won’t Leave Phil Jackson Alone ? In the absence of data, they are happy to speculate. The first time I met Jackson, at the end of April, rumor had it that he might become the coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers. (Cleveland hired Mike Brown instead.) When we met again, a week later, the rumor was that he was maybe going to be an executive for the Toronto Raptors. While that rumor was still circulating, a new rumor popped up that he had taken a job with the Detroit Pistons. (Later it emerged that he agreed only to help the team, whose owner is a friend, choose its next head coach.) Then a rumor broke that the Brooklyn Nets were after him as a possible coach and/or president and/or part-owner. What I can confirm, because I saw it with my own eyes, is that on the afternoon of Friday, May 3, Phil Jackson went shopping for groceries. I was there. I witnessed Jackson — 13-time N.B.A. champion, winningest coach in basketball history, mystical Zen spirit guide to Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant and ...
Cleveland Cavaliers (21-41) at Toronto Raptors (24-39), 6 p.m. (ET) Third-quarter woes have plagued the Cleveland Cavaliers the last few games, prompting All-Star guard Kyrie Irving to say the team needs to find a rhythm coming out at halftime. The Cavs have been outscored in the third quarter in each of the last three games against New York (21-13), Utah (25-19) and Memphis (32-18). Kyrie Irving hits a game-winning three-pointer against the Toronto Raptors to give the Cleveland Cavaliers a 99-98 win
Who had the better game? Kobe Bryant- 81 pts, 6 reb, 2 ast, 3 st, 1 blk. Remember this was back in 2006, Kobe had a terrible team with the best player besides Kobe was Lamar Odom, they also had Kwame Brown, Luke Walton and some other no names. So remember Kobe had to do basically everything himself. He hardly had any help. But he was facing the worst defensive team in history, the Toronto Raptors. The raptors had names like Chris Bosh, Jose Calderon, Jalen Rose and Matt Bonner but they all had a terrible night defensively, letting Kobe get open on almost every play. OR Michael Jordan- 69 pts, 18 reb, 6 ast, 4 stl, 1 blk. This was in the playoffs! Which adds to the difficulty. MJ had a great team with him though with names like Scottie Pippen, Horace Grant and John Paxon helping him out. But they were facing a team with great defense in the 1990 Cleveland Cavaliers and Mark Price Guarding him. Note- MJ did play 50 minutes with Kobe only playing 42. Give me your thoughts? as for me a guess kobe coz he playe ...

After the Cleveland Cavaliers took Kyrie Irving with the No. 1 pick, they were expected to take the player many felt was the big man with the most tantalizing potential in the 2011 draft class with the No. 4 pick. That was Jonas Valanciunas. Perhaps because of contract buyout entanglements and the u...

darco milicic are much closer to deal at the Miami Heat... Milicic was selected No. 2 in the 2003 NBA Draft, after Lebron James was taken by the Cleveland Cavaliers. Carmelo Anthony then went No. 3 to the Denver Nuggets, Chris Bosh No. 4 to the Toronto Raptors and Dwyane Wade No. 5 to the Heat. James and Bosh since joined Wade in 2010 free agency, teaming to defeat the Oklahoma City Thunder in last month’s NBA Finals.
