With Carmelo Anthony reportedly returning to New York, and Lebron James deciding between the Miami Heat and Cleveland Cavaliers, the Dallas Mavericks have switched to plan B - Chandler Parsons.
To Meet Lebron James’ Agent In Cleveland Cavaliers The Lakers had hopes of pairing both James and Anthony along with Kobe Bryant, but in reality they only have the cap room to land one unless both agree to take major pay cuts, which is unlikely. The Lakers went all-out in their meeting with Anthony today, but the team is not stopping there and that is admirable. If the team could land James, it would immediately turn around the fortunes of the Lakers. James’ agent has already met with representatives from the Phoenix Suns, Cleveland Cavaliers, Dallas Mavericks, and Houston Rockets, and now the Lakers have added their name to the mix. -MAMBA
The post season is still achievable for the Cavaliers despite winning only 2 of their last 7 ball games. The NBA playoff standings for 2014 are not set in stone yet as some teams are closing in on the bottom spots. The Atlanta Hawks have gone on a dismal 1-9 run in the last 10 games, allowing the Cleveland Cavaliers and Detroit Pistons to close in on the 8th spot. The Charlotte Bobcats and Brooklyn Nets are not that far ahead either. So the Eastern Conference playoff positionings could easily change in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, in the Western Conference, an 2-8 showing in the last 10 games for the Denver Nuggets has likely knocked them out of playoff contention. The Minnesota Timberwolves and Memphis Grizzlies are eying the bottom slots, while the Phoenix Suns, Dallas Mavericks, and Golden State Warriors are looking to hold on.

After this year's Sixers team of youth and player development finishes the current lottery-bound season, they will enter the offseason with around $41 Million to go all HINKIE on Free Agency '14. Of course 'The Decision 2.0' looms, and the question remains...Where will Lebron James play next season?? My prediction is he stays lush in Miami, unless the Heat fail to win a 3rd championship, in which case they will try and resign Lebron as he tests Free Agency, and/or work on moving Chris Bosh. Which leaves the next question...Who can REALLY sign Lebron in 2014?? Good for us the Sixers are leading the pack.. 2014 Projected Cap Room 1) Sixers ($41 million) 2) Charlotte Bobcats ($34 million) 3) Cleveland Cavaliers ($32 million) 4) Dallas Mavericks ($37 million) 5) Detroit Pistons ($23 million) 6) Los Angeles Lakers ($30 million) 7} Orlando Magic ($36 million) 8) Phoenix Suns ($34 million) 9)Sacramento Kings ($32 million) 10) Utah Jazz ($55 million) So other than Miami, that leaves Lebron with a real possibility ...
Here are today's Must-See Matchups: Key Game: Indiana Pacers at New York Knicks: Last postseason, the Pacers eliminated the Knicks in the second round of the playoffs. With the absence of Tyson Chandler, Roy Hibbert will most likely take advantage. -Washington Wizards at Cleveland Cavaliers: Former overall picks John Wall and Kyrie Irving headline the matchup. Can Wall build on last night's success, or will Kyrie and the Cavs claim the victory? -LA Clippers at Minnesota Timberwolves: Last week, the Clippers defeated the Timberwolves in a close game. In the second game of this series, the Wolves will try to upset the Clippers. -Houston Rockets at Dallas Mavericks: Earlier this season, the Rockets decimated the Mavs in Houston. Dirk and Monta will try to give the Rockets a taste of their own medicine at home. -Memphis Grizzlies at Golden State Warriors: Despite the absence of Steph Curry, Igoudala and Thompson will seek to slaughter the Grizzlies, who currently hold a 3 game road win streak. -Jordan23
Good morning, y'all! Today is the debut of the NBA regular season. There are 30 teams reaching for that one prestigious goal: the NBA championship! Out of 30 teams, 12 of the teams have African American head coaches. They are Jason Kidd of the Brooklyn Nets, Mike Brown of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Brian Shaw of the Denver Nuggets, Maurice Cheeks of the Detroit Pistons, Mark Jackson of the Golden State Warriors, Doc Rivers of the Los Angeles Clippers, Larry Drew of the Milwaukee Bucks, Monty Williams of the New Orleans Pelicans, Mike Woodson of the New York Knicks, Jacque Vaughn of the Orlando Magic, Dwane Casey of the Toronto Raptors, and Tyrone Corbin of the Utah Jazz. Only Doc Rivers has a ring when he won the title in 2008 when he coached the Boston Celtics while Jason Kidd is the only coach who won a title as a player when he did it in 2011 with the Dallas Mavericks. Brian Shaw finally got a head coaching job that was long overdue. Since he was in the shadow of legendary coach Phil Jackson, he should b ...
Bynum to meet with the Mavs DALLAS -- According to ESPN's Marc Stein, Philadelphia 76ers free agent center Andrew Bynum has a face-to-face meeting scheduled this week with the Dallas Mavericks. Bynum, according to the report, also has face-to-face meetings with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Atlanta Hawks. After losing out on Dwight Howard last week, the Mavs have made Bynum an important piece they would like to add to their free agent puzzle this summer. Bynum, though, is in a buyer-beware situation since he didn't play at all this past season for the Sixers and underwent arthroscopic surgery on both of his knees in March. In his last season with the Los Angeles Lakers during the 2011-'12 campaign, Bynum averaged 18.7 points and 11.8 rebounds in 60 games. He also was the Western Conference starter in the 2012 All-Star game. Read more here:
So far the Dallas Mavericks and Cleveland Cavaliers are extremely interested in Andrew Bynum.

The Portland Trail Blazers have reached an agreement with Dorell Wright on a two-year deal. Francisco Garcia has agreed to a two-year, $2.6 million contract with the Houston Rockets. He was previously waived by Houston at the start of Free Agency to make cap space for Dwight Howard. -SD

Just a win away from their second conference Finals in a row, the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters have been as busy off the hardcourt, and they have latched on to an import early. The Raymund Yu and Terry Que franchise will parade Croatian and former NBA player Bruno Sundov. The 7-3 Sundov played for the Dallas Mavericks, Indiana Pacers, Boston Celtics, Cleveland Cavaliers and New York Knicks in the NBA before trying out his luck in the European and Soviet leagues. The Petron Blaze Boosters are expecting the arrival of former NBA stringer Renaldo Balkman early next week. The 6-foot-8 Balkman is fresh from a tour of duty with the New York Knicks, which released him after the acquisition of shooter JR Smith. Barangay Ginebra San Miguel will also bank on another former NBA player in Herbert Hill (Utah Jazz). The Air21 Express will no longer renew Marcus Douthit and are are now in negotiations with 23-year-old Michael Dunigan (Memphis Grizzlies free agent). Also in talks with their choice import is GlobalPort, ...

It's official! and I will be going to the Dallas Mavericks vs. Cleveland Cavaliers NBA game on my birthday 😁👍
Since his rise to fame as a high school phenom, Lebron James was dubbed "The Chosen One" but had yet to live up to the nickname. Following a series of early playoff exits with the Cleveland Cavaliers, several critics wondered if James would be able to carry a team to an NBA Championship. After joining the Miami Heat with Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh, Lebron James became the most hated man in the NBA as analysts, players and fans believed that James was choosing the easy road to a championship. Viewers worldwide relished in his shortcomings as the Miami Heat fell short of winning an NBA Title against the Dallas Mavericks in 2011. James dedicated his offseason to growing both on and off the court, allowing his game to speak for itself and learning the lesson that everything in life is earned, not given. One year later, Lebron James has silenced the critics by winning his third NBA MVP award in four years and becoming an NBA champion.
Prior to the news, Howard leaked that he would only consider re-signing with the Brooklyn Nets (his favored destination) and the Dallas Mavericks. However, the Dallas Mavericks had little of value to offer the Orlando Magic in terms of a trade partner aside from the ability to swallow their unwanted contracts. The Brooklyn Nets, meanwhile, were unable to broker an elaborate trade that would have involved two other teams (Cleveland Cavaliers and Los Angeles Clippers). The Cavaliers have once again moved into position to facilitate a potential trade between the Lakers and Magic. In the proposed transaction, talented but headstrong center Andrew Bynum would be sent to Cleveland, scrappy veteran power forward Anderson Varejao would be dealt to Orlando along with a number of draft picks, and Howard would be on his way to Los Angeles. It is important to note what incentive the Orlando Magic franchise has to agree to this deal. Is Varejao and draft picks along with cap relief the best package Orlando can pull fo ...
BREAKING: Dallas Mavericks towel boy leaving Dallas and signing with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Bernard James was selected 33rd by the Cleveland Cavaliers, the second of three picks going to the Dallas Mavericks.
Second-round picks often wind up being footnotes in the NBA draft. But Bernard James — chosen by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the 33rd overall pick in Thursday night's 2012 NBA draft, then flipped to the Dallas Mavericks as as part … Continue reading →

Cleveland Cavaliers: D+ The Cavaliers landed two good players in Syracuse guard Dion Waiters and North Carolina center Tyler Zeller, but they overpaid horrendously. Waiters was the first stunner of the draft when Cleveland took him fourth, ahead of several players who would have been better fits and better talents. Zeller, picked 17th, should be a perfect fit but came at the cost of the 24th, 33rd and 34th picks in a trade with the Dallas Mavericks. The Cavaliers had too many holes to fill to give up so many picks for an injury prone center.
The 2009 National Player of the Year for the Howard College Hawks and National Champions... Jae Crowder drafted with the 34th overall pick in the NBA draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers... but a trade beforehand with the Dallas Mavericks will bring him to back to Texas! Wow! The basketball gods love us!!!
I believe that THE BIGGEST BUTTHOLE is Dan Gilbert, the Owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers. 2 Summers ago, he said that the Cavs would win a Championship before LeBron would. THAT BIG DUMMY LIED, HE'S A LIAR! Last Summer the Dallas Mavericks won the 2011 NBA Championship, this Summer in the 2012 NBA Finals, it was the Miami Heat. And who was on the Miami Heat weraring it was Lebron James! HE WAS THE 2012 NBA FINALS MVP!
Remember that time the jilted owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers guaranteed -- in comic sans font -- that his team would win an NBA championship before Lebron James and the Miami Heat? Well, Dan Gilbert was wrong.
Well in Miami Heat. Did you know MVP Lebron James reached the finals on two previous occassions without winning it the NBA championship?. First with Cleveland Cavaliers in 2007 before losing to San Antonio Spurs then last season when they (Heat) were swept aside by Dallas Mavericks. I think he deserves it.
MIAMI (AP) Lebron James is the MVP of the NBA Finals. James finished with 26 points, 13 assists and 11 rebounds in Game 5 of the title series Thursday night, leading the Miami Heat to a 121-106 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder. Miami won the second title in franchise history, and James won for the first time in three finals appearances. James and the Cleveland Cavaliers were swept by the San Antonio Spurs in 2007, then he and the Heat fell in six games to the Dallas Mavericks last season.
When the Miami Heat win their championship in pretty much done watching NBA basketball. I found this article why I feel that way. As the Miami Heat battle the legendary Boston Celtics for their second shot in as many years at an NBA championship (they lost to the Dallas Mavericks in the finals last year), the anti-Lebron James and the Heat sentiment seems to be as great as ever. But why do so many people have a distaste for everything LeBron? Common Sense Conspiracy takes a closer look. LeBron was America’s sweetheart at first. He jumped from high school in Akron, Ohio to the Cleveland Cavaliers, a team that swam in mediocrity until the now three-time NBA Most Valuable Player arrived. Touted as the heir apparent to Michael Jordan (of course, highly debated as long as supposed Illuminati-henchman Kobe Bryant is around), LeBron became a fan favorite. He played on a crappy team, and his amazing feats on the court made them a contender year after year. But they never could quite get over the hump an ...
