MM: Travis County, Gary Clark, Jr. He's already proven to be an heir to Stevie Ray Vaughn, here he shows he can do Chuck Berry just as well.
Really cool wedding reception in Countryside this past Saturday. The groom and the father of the bride jammed with the band on some Stevie Ray Vaughn and Chuck Berry and rocked the house! Also we were informed that this reception is the second referral from a reception we played back in 2010. The 2010 couple was in attendance Saturday night and guess what? They're expecting and due any day! Love it.
wishing some famous music folks...Chuck Berry s.Phahroah Sanders..and Stevie Ray Vaughn...all had B Days in the last couple of days
Random thoughts, observations, etc. In other words. . . Useless information, supposed to fire your imagination... Or not. XM Radio ends today for me. The free trial period is over. While I've enjoyed it, it's just not worth $160.00 a year to me. My favorite was BB King's Bluesville, followed by Classic Vinyl. I heard an interview with BB King in which he was asked about who, among Blues guitarists, he admired, past and present. From the past he specifically mentioned Lonnie Johnson and T. Bone Walker. Among present day players he mentioned Robert Cray, Keb Mo, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, the late Stevie Ray Vaughn, and Bonnie Raitt. (Bonnie Raitt is great, he said, chuckling.) I heard many great songs, but what sticks out to me is Chuck Berry's "You Can't Catch Me." The only other version I'd heard of this song was by the Blues Project from their album "Projections." I had other stuff but I can't remember what. *** this old age memory loss! Ciao.

Y'all don't even know anything about some BB King, Chuck Berry, or even Stevie Ray Vaughn.
I'll do that! Just got some Chuck Berry, Etta James, U2, and Stevie Ray Vaughn. Rounded it out with a little Ozzy. Heh.
Going through my guitar book for inspiration... Stevie Ray Vaughn is also a god, Chuck Berry and Pete Townshend! Start writing stuff tomoro!
Fast forward to 2012, and it looks as though the band will be back together again - this time morphing into "Satan's Little Helpers". The songs featured will be covers by such artists as Elvis Presly, Chuck Berry, the Beatles, the Moody Blues, Simon and Garfunkle, Jeffery, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and Cream. Of course, SLH will be sure to preform Underneath the Stars, the Wipeout, the Story in Your eyes, Nights in While Satin, and S & M by Rihana. Always creative. Always powerful. From Pitiful to Going Backwards.and to *** what else will come out of Backtracks track backs???
