So I'm super excited about the clown show that will be the republican nomination for president. So far here is a list of some of the people showing interest: Jeb Bush, Mitt Romney, Rand Paul, Chris Christie, Sarah Palin, Mike Huckabee, Carly Fiorina, Donald Trump, and Scott Walker... Each one is more wacky than the next. Does anyone take these candidates seriously? More to the point does anyone think any of these jokers stand a chance against Hillary?
Just a thought: Mitt Romney, Jeb Bush, Chris Christie, Rick Perry, Mike Huckabee, Scott Walker, Bobby Jindal, Ted Cruz, Rick Santorum, Carly Fiorina, and Ben Carson. How many clowns can the Republican Party get into that clown car that will be the RNC.

I am seeing lots of online Straw Polls about the 2016 Presidential nomination on the Republican side. Obviously, I am hoping for a run by Marco Rubio -- but he isn't the only candidate I could get behind. Rubio is my favorite coming out of the Senate, but I also would call Tim Scott, Mike Lee, and Ted Cruz "maybes". Very much against Rand Paul, Lindsey Graham, and another run by Rick Santorum. From the current group of GOP governors, I would love to see Bobby Jindal emerge as a front runner --- but I also like what I hear from Rick Perry, Nikki Haley, Scott Walker, and Susana Martinez. I really don't want to see Chris Christie, Jeb Bush, Mike Huckabee, Sarah Palin, or another run by Mitt Romney. From the House, I could get behind Paul Ryan, or Trey Gowdy. Certainly don't want to see Peter King. Finally, in the Non-politician category, I would definitely support Dr. Ben Carson.
The quarter-finals of the 2016 race for the White House now pit Jeb Bush against Chris Christie, Paul Ryan, Rick Perry and John Kasich for the establishment wing of the party. It’s not even 2015 yet and no candidate has declared that he or she is running, but the pollsters are already asking about who you’ll vote for in the November 2016 Presidential election. In this CNN poll, the choices for a Republican are Jeb Bush, Ben Carson, Chris Christie, Ted Cruz, Mike Huckabee, Bobby Jindal, John Kasich, Rand Paul, Mike Pence, Rick Perry, Rob Portman, Marco Rubio, Paul Ryan, Rick Santorum, or Scott Walker. The choices for a Democrat are Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, Andrew Cuomo, Martin O’Malley, Deval Patrick, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren or Jim Webb. How many of these candidates could you envision being a successful President?
Well, Jeb Bush is in...I expect he'll be followed by Scott Walker, Rand Paul, Chris Christie, Marco Rubio, among others. The GOP has a strong bench for 2016!!
Listen, the GOP has one shot here, they better let the establishment step aside!! the Boehners and McCains, the Lindsey Grahams, McConnells...Get rid of them NOW!!! they are as dangerous as Obama will ever be!!! they sold us out Long time ago...those in the Establishment will Give Jeb Bush as your next candidate, they make sure they Defund and Vilify their own Party members...it is time for a change in Direction and Leadership...time for Mike Lee, Trey Gowdy, Ted Cruz and Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, Paul Ryan!!! sprinkle in, Chris Christie, Bobby Jindal, Nikki Haley, Susana Martínez, Scott Walker, Allen West, Dr Ben Carson to name a Few...reach out to all people and take back this country, uniting us simply Americans With a Dream to Keep and Fight and even Die for our freedoms. Wall Street is one of the biggest sources of funding for presidential campaigns, and many of the Republican Party's potential 2016 contenders are governors, from Chris Christie of New Jersey and Rick Perry of Texas to Bobby Jindal of Louisiana and Scott Walker of Wisconsin. And so, last week, the GOP filed a federal lawsuit aimed at overturning the pay-to-play law that bars those governors from raising campaign money from Wall Street executives who manage their states' pension funds. In the case, New York and Tennessee's Republican parties are represented by two former Bush administration officials, one of whose firms just won the Supreme Court case invalidating campaign contribution limits on large donors. In their complaint, the parties argue that people managing state pension money have a First Amendment right to make large donations to state officials who award those lucrative money management contracts. With the $3 trillion public pension system controlled by elected officials now generating billions ...

Politics & Policy The White House Sheldon Adelson's Search for an Electable Republican Who Hates Online Poker By Joshua Green March 28, 2014 Sheldon Adelson in 2012 This weekend a crop of potential blue-chip GOP presidential candidates will assemble in Las Vegas competing for the attention, favor, and money of casino magnate Sheldon Adelson, who is worth $38 billion. The marquee names in attendance: former Florida Governor Jeb Bush and current governors Chris Christie (New Jersey), Scott Walker (Wisconsin), and John Kasich (Ohio). Adelson really wants to elect a Republican president in 2016. And the fact that he and his wife dropped almost $93 million in the 2012 cycle is an indication of how much they’re willing to spend in pursuit of that goal. What’s happening this weekend is essentially a beauty pageant. At some point soon, Adelson is going to pick a Miss Republican, and instead of a crown, the lucky winner will get a boatload of money, probably in the form of a candidate-specific Super PAC like t ...
So Jeb Bush, Scott Walker, John Kasich and Chris Christie are all in Las Vegas competing like a gaggle of desperate wet T shirt contestants for the favor - and multi millions in campaign funding - of Sheldon Adelson. The dubious distinction of winner will go to the one Adelson believes has the best chance of winning - and successfully killing off online gambling. What a grossly pathetic and embarrassing spectacle. SO antithetical to what the Founders of this country stood for and intended.
Jeb Bush, Chris Christie, Scott Walker, John Kasich are all chasing big money to back them for their presidential bid. If you want what Sheldon Adelson wants then vote for one of them. He is in the process of buying them as I write this.
Well Republican Party, Sheldon Adelson (one of the richest guys in America...) is interviewing 4 persons in Las Vegas today to see who he wants to put his money behind in 2016. In 2012 he invested 92 million of his money to try to buy a GOP President. Let's see. What do his candidates look like?!? Sheldon Adelson is a multi billionaire who spent over 100 million dollars in 2012 trying to defeat President Obama. This week in Los Vegas he is holding auditions for Republican presidential candidates for 2016. This billionaire will spend what ever is necessary to buy a President. If he is able to get Chris Christie, Jed Bush, Scott Walker or any other Republican elected, do you think they will represent the people or Sheldon Adelson. Chris Christie update: Scott Walker to the rescue!
A Tea Party POLL CAME OUT TODAY WITH 60,000 GRASSROOTS CONSERVATIVES, AND THE RESULTS ARE NOT SURPRISING TO SAY THE LEAST. The polling numbers for 2016 puts Ted Cruz in first place, Rand Paul in 2nd. and Dr. Ben Carson 3rd. place. Scott Walker came in 4th. and Sarah Palin 5th. and Mike Huckabee 6th. Now the shocker well not really was that Chris Christie came in dead last. I must be a true Tea Party Person, as I am in total agreement with the picks of this Group. The only surprise came with Dr. Ben Carson, as I didn't think his popularity would have him as a 3rd. pick, for one reason only. His political experience is so very limited, as he is a Doctor. But they say a President is as good as his people who surround him, so I guess that statement speaks for itself. I couldn't be more in agreement, with these selections!
Chris Christie is coming to Texas to raise money for GOP gubernatorial candidates although he did nothing to help Ken Cuccinelli, the conservative candidate for Governor who narrowly lost his race this past November. Republican polling numbers- Huckabee ,He's at 16% to 14% for Jeb Bush, 13% for Chris Christie, 11% for Rand Paul, 8% each for Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, and Paul Ryan, 6% for Scott Walker, and 5% for Bobby Jindal.
It's one thing for Chris Christie being undone by a Rand Paul, Scott Walker, Jeb Bush, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Mike Huckabee, or countless other Republicans in the primaries or Hillary in the general but to be bought down by the Mayor of Fort Lee, NJ that has to hurt.
It's not like the GOP has no imperial kings! => Gov. Scott Walker, Gov. Rick Snyder, Gov. Rick Scott, Gov. Chris Christie; need I say more?
Was listening to Neil Cavuto interview Mitt Romney today. Cavuto asked him about possible Republican presidential candidates in 2016. So Romney mentions Paul Ryan (of course), Jeb Bush, Chris Christie and Scott Walker. Cavuto asked him why he left Ted Cruz and Rand Paul off the list. Mitt responded with something like, "Well, they represent a different area of the party and I think we need a candidate with a broader appeal." In other words, he endorsed moderate candidates like himself, John Mccain and Bob Dole. How has that strategy worked out for us? As Ronald Reagan once said, "A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell its numbers." In other words, real conservatives take real stands on real issues... like the Gipper did. And like Rand Paul and Ted Cruz. They are our hope.
Just a thought. I don't even know if he's interested in running. And I realize I'm going against my usual thinking that frowns on making everything that happens in politics about presidential speculation. But during a week when everyone is talking about Bridgegate and how it may or may not affect Chris Christie's presumed presidential aspirations, I think it's worth exploring the question of how and why we decide certain people are presidential timber. I've been intrigued by Scott Walker since he was first elected governor of Wisconsin in 2010. I watched as he took on public employee unions over the extent of their collective bargaining power, and had the courage to see that fight through even when it meant multiple court battles and a Recall Election. I've watched as he's not only balanced Wisconsin's budget but also cut taxes multiple times in the past year alone - culminating with his proposal during last night's State of the State address to give Wisconsin taxpayers another $500 million in tax relief. ...
Rand Paul no Marco Rubio no Ted Cruz no Scott Walker no Bobby Jindal no Paul Ryan no Chris Christie no, he's too big for his bridges, I mean britches
Scott Walker was making news this week, including saying Chris Christie is Conservative... In this clip Candy Crowley shows what a biased news reporter she is.…
Scott Walker just crossed himself off my list of potentials for 2016. What do you think? Could you vote for someone who said that Chris Christie is conservative enough for 2016?
Ok, 2016 potential presidential candidates are in the polls and it is a HUGE yawner! On the Dems side is the leader Hillary Clinton of cattle futures fame. Then we have Joe Biden. To be honest, I have nothing to say about his worthless as *** on a boar hog butt... That leaves Elizabeth Warren, Martin O'Malley and Deval Patrick. I am asleep at the wheel and headed for a crash... But I won't leave the rotten *** slate on the Republican's side out. Chris Christie holds a narrow lead, with Jeb Bush, Tom Cruz and Paul Ryan sniffing up his butt with a microscope. Problem is, they all SUCK! That leaves Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, Scott Walker, Rick Perry and Rick Santorum holding up the rear of the GOP flanks, the most appropriate place for them. *** should ALWAYS take up the rear... Looks like one more lame *** election of complete morons... When will we have reps running who aren't clueless by nature? I am starting a voters for Goofy or Dopey as president campaign. Are you in?
From Virgie M Rollins DNC Rep Reply-To: rapidresponsethe video here: DNC highlights GOP infighting in holiday-themed video The Hill// Alexandra Jaffe Democrats are highlighting infighting among Republican presidential hopefuls with a new holiday-themed web video out Monday. The video, shared first with The Hill by the Democratic National Committee, features GOP Sens. Rand Paul (Ky.) and Marco Rubio (Fla.), Rep. Paul Ryan (Wisc.), Govs. Scott Walker (Wisc.) and Chris Christie (N.J.) and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush all trading barbs with each other during interviews and public appearances. "It's the holiday season. A time when families come together," the clip opens, and then cuts to a shot of Christie lambasting Paul at a press conference. "Maybe Senator Paul could, you know, deal with that when he's trying to deal with the reduction of spending on the federal side. But I doubt he would, because most Washington politicians only care about bringing home the bacon," Christie says in the clip. Both are likel ...
Scott Walker, Chris Christie, Rick Santorum, Bobby Jindal, Marci Rubio, Ted Cruz Rand Paul and Paul Ryan, can we let them fight to the death
Chris Christie, Ted Cruz, and Marco Rubio should be afraid of Scott Walker. Here's why. via
Scott Walker and Chris Christie have bullied teachers & slowed the economy to a draw. But here's Walker's edge:
Political Dropping You've read it here first-- I am giving up watching Chris Matthews and even Al Sharpton! The Sharpton quit is just ever story is the same every night and there are always the same pundits are the same people every episode--I like him but I hate reruns! Chris Matthews is even more on my no watch list! Every single episode and within the first 15 minutes no matter what could be happening in the world, its all about Hillary 2016 and Chris Christie is a moderate and lately even suggesting Scott Walker in that category!!! There is so very much that is happening in the world that is newsworthy everyday. There is also the 2014 elections that should be discussed! I already have severe Hillary burn out and honestly the only 2 reasons I would be voting for her is that she is a woman and a democrat. Maybe come 2016, I'll watch him again. Because of these things, it makes me love rachel maddow and Ed the best! Also have been enjoying Chris Hayes, his show, however tends to be a homerun or a strike ...

WASHINGTON (AP) — Many Republican activists, citing Congress' deep unpopularity, say they want a governor to be their next presidential nominee. It looks like we may have a very entertaining Republican Primary Party of Stupid's upcoming Primaries. Please note, his numbers are from the "extremely conservative" Republicans. Cruz emerges as GOP leader PPP's newest national poll finds Ted Cruz is now the top choice of Republican primary voters to be their candidate for President in 2016. He leads the way with 20% to 17% for Rand Paul, 14% for Chris Christie, 11% for Jeb Bush, 10% each for Marco Rubio and Paul Ryan, 4% for Bobby Jindal, and 3% each for Rick Santorum and Scott Walker. Cruz has gained 8 points since our last national 2016 poll in July while everyone else has more or less stayed in place. He's made himself the face of a government shutdown over Obamacare, and the Republican base supports that by a 64/20 margin. It's not surprising that Republicans identifying as 'very conservative' support a shutdown 75/10, but even the moderate wing of the party supports it by a 46/36 margin. Cruz is leading the GOP field based especially on his appeal t ...

Some more random thoughts about Wisconsin's transvaginal ultrasound bill: (1) In addition to the recriminating that Wisconsin women should be doing for voting for that putz, Scott Walker, every Wisconsinite who, with unparalleled stupidity, voted against the recall because they didn't think the procedure itself was proper should be kicking him- or herself in the rear for being a certifiable moron. (2) Remarkably, Walker has been regarded as the "compromise" 2016 Republican presidential candidate between the "moderate" Chris Christie and the hard right Rand Paul and Carnival Cruz. I'm not sure which is more nonsensical: Regarding Walker as a "compromise candidate" or Christie as a "moderate?" (3) For those who remember the third world-like scene of Wisconsin State Senate Majority Leader, Scott Fitzgerald, ramming Walker's union-busting bill through the chamber by shouting down the one Democrat who tried to express his opposition and drowning him out by taking the prefabricated Republican vote in favor of t ...
Friend, A one-man roadblock to progress. It's what I see when I look at Chris Christie. Well, that and his obvious plans to take his roadblock to the White House in 2016. Just look at the guy's record as governor: Vetoed equal pay Vetoed marriage equality Slashed family planning funding Vetoed a minimum wage increase 400,000 people unemployed in New Jersey And he's the first anti-choice governor of New Jersey since Roe v. Wade. It's right there in front of us -- Chris Christie is the wrong governor for New Jersey and absolutely the wrong president for the whole country. Christie's set on being a brick wall against New Jersey's progressive values. So let's beat this guy and elect a pro-choice Democratic woman in his place. Contribute to Barbara Buono right now and stop Christie in his tracks before he gets the chance to take his roadblock to Washington. The guy only gets worse when you look at the company he keeps. Scott Walker -- Wisconsin's dreadfully anti-worker governor -- hosted a fundraiser for Chris ...
It already seems inevitable that I willl be supporting Rand Paul for president in 2016. I doesn't seem as if Chris Christie or Scott Walker are going to surprise me by showing an interest in libertarian-ish policies. The other sort-of possibilities are Mary Fallin, Brian Sandoval and Bobby Jindal. But they all seem unlikely. I hope a super-wealthy libertarian wants to run. Hear me, Peter Thiel?
For an article I'm doing: Do you think Scott Walker is presidential material? Could he win the GOP nomination in 2016 over a candidate like Chris Christie or Marco Rubio?
So, apparently NJ Gov. Chris Christie is persona not grata with the "brains"@ CPAC. His crime? His position on gun control. Guns? Huh. I thought they wouldn't invite him for taking Medicaid money under an Obamacare provision, or campaigning with President Barack Obama days before the election. But here you have an unfortunately popular governor of a Blue state, someone who could give Democrats fits in 2016, and they're essentially kicking him out of the party? Works for me! But if the criteria for being at CPAC includes "having a future" in the GOP, let's see who they've got coming that have a future in their party: Michele Bachmann, Carly Fiorina, Newt Gingrich, Wayne LaPierre, Sarah Palin, Rick Perry Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum, Scott Walker, Allen West. Hmmm. The "future" of the party kinda looks the same as the past that is currently being rejected by voters. So much for "rebranding," huh?
LET’’S MAKE A TRIP TO CPAC I can recall my parents taking me to the traveling circus each year. Back the some of the sideshows were call “freak” shows. It’s been many years, so I have a yearning t go back. CPAC qualifies. Among the exciting, forward looking speakers are : Scott Walker; Jeb Bush; Sarah Palin; Marco; Rick Santorum, Rand Paul, and Rush. So far no invitation has gone to Chris Christie. Oh I forgot - Mitt Who will be on hand. These yearly “affairs” are packed with the stars of the GOP. Yep - that’s the list. I would actually recommend that any Progressive who goes in - to get really drunk first. That way you won’t really hear the garbage bring spewed from those mouths.

I will always support Sarah Palin in everyting she does! if she will run for senate instead of President, because of Family reasons than i will still have the same respect for her as i have now! is still have 8 second choices for President in 2016, those Are : Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich, Rick Perry, Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, Allen West, Scott Walker, and Michelle Bachmann, and Chris Christie, Jeb Bush, John Huntsman, Paul Ryand and Marco Rubio are my last choices..
From a Primer on Class Struggle: Resistance to thinking about class struggle is powerful, but the power of class analysis is hard to resist, once one grasps it. Suddenly, seemingly odd or unrelated capitalist stratagems begin to make sense. To take a current example, why would capitalists bankroll candidates and politicians to destroy public sector unions? Why do capitalists care so much about the public sector? It’s not because they want to balance budgets, create jobs, improve government efficiency, or achieve any of the goals publicly touted by governors like Scott Walker, Chris Christie, Rick Snyder, or John Kasich. It’s because of the profit and power they can gain by destroying the last remaining organizations that fight for the interests of working people in the political sphere, and by making sure that private-sector workers can’t look to the public sector for examples of how to win better pay and benefits. Capitalists’ goal, as always, is a greater share of wealth for them and a smaller s ...
. on GOP taking back WH in 2016: a lot of outstanding governors like Chris Christie *crowd boos*... Scott Walker, etc.
So here's what 2016 is looking like so far: for the Republicans it's Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, Susana Martinez, Jeb Bush, Paul Ryan, Scott Walker, Kelly Ayotte, and Chris Christie, for the Democrats it's Joe Biden, Andrew Cuomo, Mark Warner, Martin O'Malley, Deval Patrick, Cory Booker, and Michael Bloomberg. Not bad on both sides, but will be interesting to see who the confirmed candidates are.
we have plenty of grown up ready for 2016. Paul Ryan, Chris Christie, Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, Jindal, Scott Walker et al.
i have been reading story after story of the republicans leaders saying that we need to cave on taxes, scale back our opinion on illegal Immigration and other issues. let me ask a question why is it when ever we lose an election we have to listen to the democrats and get rid of our conservative values ? do we have a whole group wimpy establishment republicans? as in , John Mccain ( politically Wimpy), Mitt Romney, John Boehner, Mitch Mcconnell, Lindsey Graham .Scott Brown, Dave Reichert and others. they flip flop, they back down, they changer there opinion at a drop of a hat to go along with an election or a tide . so why can't we get strong conservatives like Paul Ryan, Sarah Palin, Chris Christie , Scott Walker, Michelle Brahman, Newt Gingrich, Allen West, Rand Paul, Steve King, Pete king, Eric cantor,Rick Perry, Ted Cruz and others. why are we not encouraging these people to run for higher office .
Excerpt from CHARLES KRAUTHAMMER, 11-08-12. Behind Romney, the party has an extraordinarily strong bench. In Congress — Paul Ryan, Marco Rubio, Kelly Ayotte, (the incoming) Ted Cruz, and others. And the governors — Bobby Jindal, Scott Walker, Nikki Haley, plus former governor Jeb Bush and the soon-retiring Mitch Daniels. (Chris Christie is currently in rehab.) They were all either a little too young or just not personally prepared to run in 2012. No longer. There may not be a Reagan among them, but THIS GENERATION OF RISING LEADERS IS PHILOSOPHICALLY ROOTED AND POLITICALLY FLUENT IN THE NEW CONSTITUTIONAL CONSERVATISM. Ignore the trimmers. There’s no need for radical change. The other party thinks it owns the demographic future — counter that in one stroke by fixing the LATINO PROBLEM. DO NOT, however, ABANDON THE PARTY'S PHILOSOPHICAL ANCHOR.. In a world where European social democracy is imploding before our eyes, the party of SMALLER, more modernized government owns the ideological future. Romn ...
The winners of this Election: The People. We had one of the largest turnout evenr even after a terrible storm. Joe Biden: He showed the world and the American people that Old Joe still got alot of fight left in him. Chris Christie: Put away party politics he showed the country true leadership alongside our president. Scott Walker: A super conservative governor, so far his state political race seemed to go of without a problem. The Loser. The Corporation. Outspending, the 1% thought they could buy this election. We proved them wrong. Paul Ryan: Ryan was not ready for national spotlight. He did not implode like Plain, but his lack of knowledge showed during the election and his one debate. Josh Mandel-John Husted: Josh Mandel many skeleton in his closet were shown in a very national watched campaign, making him into a very dislike man across the country. Husted did a favor for the GOP trying to stop voters, but in the end the favor did not help him. Rich Scott: When your own party members condemn you are in ...

Even those left of left (Nancy Pelosi) have to be impressed.

I've noticed a number of you hand wringing over the current state of NFL officiating. There's a lot of "just give the refs what they want" & "save the integrity of the game" out there. You folks do realize that the regular NFL referees belong to a union, right? A union the NFL would very much like to break, you know, not unlike Scott Walker or John Kasich or Mitch Daniels or Chris Christie or Rick Scott, or any of the rest of their political ilk (See, e.g., Mitch Mcconnell, Rand Paul, Hal Rogers). Apparently that's ok, though, as long as they don't mess with your entertainment. Cops & teachers & firemen & other public servants don't really need a fair wage for the jobs they do & certainly don't need the ability to negotiate en masse, but BY GOD, just give these refs whatever they want so I can get back to enjoying watching large, sweaty men pound on each other. You gotta admire hypocrisy taken to that level.
The same people fretting about Romney's 47% line got their knickers in a twist over Scott Walker & Chris Christie. They never learn...
We need more governors like Scott Walker and Chris Christie and we will get them. It is time for the insanity to end.
Not the speech I hoped to see from Romney. He does not have enough charisma. I do not see he can pull it off, but I still hope he can. Because Obama's re-election means the end of America as we know it and start of a new America which is gonna be another failed European Union nation. However, in these 3 days we saw lots of great young faces in Republican Party like Scott Walker, Marco Rubio and Chris Christie that makes us guaranteed that the most briliant days of America are still ahead.
The RNC convention might actually be worth watching if: Ann Romney revealed she and Mitt are polygamists; Chris Christie has a heart attack mid-speech which wasn't really a heart attack, he just forgot to swallow the last of his lunch; Scott Walker and Paul Ryan beat the crap out of each other over which one Wisconsin likes best when it's neither; PALIN, PALIN, PALIN!; Condoleeza Rice realizes she's black; John Mccain has a heart attack mid-speech because someone said PALIN, PALIN, PALIN!; if Arizonas delegates were all Mexican and couldn't get in cause of ID; a drunk Ron Paul storms the stage shouting "F*** all you cheatin' *** "; Reince Preibus says he hates to be called Reince Preibus; Mitt Romney's robotics break down as he takes the stage, and like the Tin Man, he has to be oiled to work again while trying to maintain a position that doesn't flip-flop and fry his onboard computer system so that the only thing we see are the "red" of his Terminator eyes; and finally, they actually tell the tru ...

Scott Walker, Bob McDonald, Ann Romney all gave great speeches. As expected, Chris Christie gave a rousing Key Note. But my pick for best of the night? Artur Davis. When he looked straight into the camera and spoke directly to democrats I thought that was a defining moment. Rick Santorum? Dud.
...Looking forward to Ann Romney's address to the RNC tonight; starting shortly after 10PM ET, and followed by the distilled awesomeness of Chris Christie... :) (Also appearing tonight: Janine Turner, Rick Santorum & Gov. Scott Walker) Are you watching yet? I'm watching on CSPAN...
The Republican convention is underway, and here’s a quick summary of the speakers: Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan, Scott Walker, Rick Santorum, Jeb Bush, Chris Christie, Rand Paul, Marco Rubio. Now, read that again and imagine it’s a list of President Romney and his cabinet.
Good read... By KIMBERLEY A. STRASSEL Tampa, Fla. Republicans meet at the Tampa Bay Times Forum this week to spell out their vision for the country. It needn't be an exercise in imagination. The party's transformative spirit is already on vivid display, thanks to a crop of reformist Republican Governors. With the GOP stymied in Washington, these state leaders—from Chris Christie in New Jersey to Scott Walker in Wisconsin—have become the heart of the conservative movement, many pursuing the sort of thorough overhauls of government once considered impossible. In many cases, the changes are already showing dramatic, positive economic results. Think of the reform governors as the vanguard of the far-reaching policy reforms that Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan now want to bring to the national arena. "If you want a sense of what the party is, what it really stands for, and what it can do, this is the right place to start," says one of the trailblazers, Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels. He has cut his state's budget, r ...
Here is the program for the RNC Convention this week (revised due to hurricane). It begins at 2 pm on Tuesday, everything will be shown by C-Span. Among today's speakers: Sen. The liberals pundits are falling all over themselves claiming that the Paul Ryan choice for VP is a good thing for them. (because of his push to reform gov't spending) THEY ARE NOT PAYING ATTENTION TO THIS COUNTRY. The Tea Party Movement which began at the end of the Bush administration (BEFORE Barack Obama), over federal gov't fiscal irresponsibility. The elections of 2010 which saw Republicans sweep to power in the House of Representatives (and gain seats in the Senate). The election of Chris Christie in NJ on reforming gov't spending. The election of Scott Walker in Wisconsin on reforming gov't spending. The victory of Scott Walker in the Recall Election which saw more people vote and a WIDER margin of victory for Walker than his initial election. This country is ready for, nay eager for its gov't to get its fiscal house in order. It is plainly obvious, even to the simplest person, that Obama is NOT willing to do that. There's a new reality show in Development at A&E called, "The Real Governors of The Conservative Right." It's sort of a mix of The Real Housewives, Big Brother and The Amazing Race, hosted by Donald Trump. Each week 5 Conservative Governors have to live together in a huge mansion to fight over who can set back their state the most. Challenges include Transvaginal Probe enforcment, union busting, defunding any health programs that help women, minorities, children or the elderly, passing inventive laws to ban *** marriages, *** teachers, *** celebrities, *** plumbers, *** pets, etc. Sources report A&E has already approached Scott Walker, Rick Scott, Nikki Haley, Bobby Jindal, Rick Perry, Jan Brewer, Nathan Deal, Mitch Daniels, and Sam Brownback but a major stumbling block is no one will take part if there's a communal bathroom and Chris Christie is included.
In order to help Mitt Romney find his VP candidate, I think we should have a Republican Governor Tag Team match. Rick Scott and Scott Walker on one side. Chris Christie and either Rick Perry or Jan Brewer on the other.
What lessons can Scott Walker (and Mitt Romney and President Obama) learn from Chris Christie? Mainly this: Collaboration is valuable, and it really is important to “reach across the aisle.”
An excerpt from Dan Henniger in today's WSJ. "Italy's youth unemployment rate is 36% and Spain's an almost incomprehensible 50%. Does anyone really believe that Europe's smart young people don't want to work? That its engineers, designers, business-school graduates, architects, scientists and the rest wouldn't thrive, create new companies, new jobs, and produce benefit for Italy, Spain, France or the U.K. if they had breathing room to do so and were allowed to retain their earned income rather than transfer most of it to l'état? Here's pro-growth advice no one in Europe will take: Stop listening to the IMF bleeders and the Obama spenders. If you wish to relearn real, long-term growth, consult the U.S. governors who did that themselves. Scott Walker in Wisconsin, Mitch Daniels in Indiana and Chris Christie in New Jersey all took over states nearly as moribund as Italy and Spain and put before their publics hard but obvious choices about spending, taxes, pensions, unions and bureaucracies. Their publics vo ...

What gets me is that Scott Walker, Chris Christie, Rick Scott & John Kasich just to name a few governors were handed much worse economys than his holiness obama, and yet they have managed to turn their respective states around and grow their economys and add substancial job numbers all in much less time than it took obama to screw up the U.S. economy, shred the constitution and then to blame Bush for all of his woes...Just Saying!

Most Dishonest Governors in America: Chris Christie & Scott Walker both in Top 5
Quite simply, Wisconsin voters realized that if they no longer had Scott Walker, they would have to invent him. "And, most of all, Scott Walker saved his job by being the adult in the room. While Democrats in Washington seem to be relying on their belief that the United States government is “too big to fail” to justify a program of taxing and spending our way out of debt, the states don’t have such a luxury. And so, across the country, in states red, blue, and purple, they have turned to men like Scott Walker — and Chris Christie, and Mitch Daniels, and others — to close structural deficits, stabilize out-of-control spending, and break the death embrace between Big Labor and Big Government. In taking this toxic partnership head on, in a state with a rich progressive history no less, Walker became its biggest target. His enemies spent a year and a half preparing to take their best shot at him. And a combined total of $100 million or so later, they missed. They missed because voters are starting t ...
More than any other governor Scott Walker has remained true to conservatism while facing great adversity. Chris Christie is no Scott Walker.
Tara. I have known you since you were a baby. Respectfully, that piece of tripe re slowed spending is not only misleading but wrong. But that is the subject of a conversation I would love to have with you face to face. Just look at the federal deficit and try to read that article with a straight face. Anyway, when you come back to Clinton, please introduce me to your babies again. Hope your mom and dad are doing well. And as an aside, Scott Walker continues to be my hero much the same as is Chris Christie.
I got blocked by Gov "Moonbeam" Jerry Brown today, and all I did was offer to buy him a lunch w/Scott Walker or Chris Christie.
Food for thought regarding taxes...from the Wall Street Journal In his January 2011 inaugural address, California Gov. Jerry Brown declared it a "time to honestly *** our financial condition and make the tough choices." Plainly the choices weren't tough enough: Mr. Brown has just announced that he faces a state budget deficit of $16 billion—nearly twice the $9.2 billion he predicted in January. In Sacramento Monday, he coupled a new round of spending cuts with a call for some hefty new tax hikes. In his own inaugural address back in January 2010, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie also spoke of making tough choices for the people of his state. For his first full budget, Mr. Christie faced a deficit of $10.7 billion—one-third of projected revenues. Not only did Mr. Christie close that deficit without raising taxes, he is now plumping for a 10% across-the-board tax cut. It's not just looks that make Mr. Brown Laurel to Mr. Christie's Hardy. It's also their political choices. When the Obama administration .. ...

Barbara Buono took a moment this week to inform New Jerseyans that the Badger State is leading the nation -- in job losses. This is what Scott Walker and John Kasich, Chris Christie, and All the Tea Party Governors around the country want to do , destroy the unions , take away collective bargaining and have two classes in America the masters and the Slaves. This is the agenda that the Koch Bros. and the rest of their Corporate masters want.
Is it just me, or do you all remember that the Republicans/Tea Party was swept into office in States and the Congress all over this Country by campaigning on Jobs and the Economy? 2 years later the only legislation they have offered is : anti-labor, anti *** anti-immigrant, anti-voter, anti-women's health. In the Congress the Republican controlled House of Representatives has offered more anti-abortion legislation than job creating legislation, 44 Bills were offered in the House this term that include some form of anti-abortion language. All of those Republican Governor's John Kasich, Chris Christie, Scott Walker, Rick Scott, Jan Brewer. Look at the policies that they are proffering in their States and the legislation that they've signed into law. As Mr. Boehner is so found of asking "where are the jobs"? Just a cautionary tale to us all, don't just evaluate how they campaign think about how they'll actually govern!!
A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS. I lived in neighhbouring Botswana during the '70s apartheid days of Gestapo-like BSAP (British South Africa Police) rule in South Africa and visited the country extensively two times. (Watch "Cry Freedom: the Steven Biko Story," starring Denzel Washington, which occurred while I was there.) Allan West, Chris Christie, Scott Walker, Rick Scott, Snyder, Kasich, Ryan, Cantor, Boehner, all the conscienceless gold-digging SS-type bullies in the country are being recruited by the multi-billionaire Republican Kochs.
Let us all take a moment to feel sorry for Wisconsin. They've had Chris Christie and $25 million in out of state money come in to defend Scott Walker... I can't imagine that much money for that size population (5.7 million) ... it must be "political ad *** over there.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie campaigns on behalf of Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker
What is on my mind??" I watched the news last night and listened to Grover Norquist - the God of the Republican Party - giving his orders to his minions who have sworn their oath of allegiance to him - that all the Republican nominee needs is enough digits to sign his name! And, it looks like he got his wish in Romney who is so wishy-washy that he can't make up his mind on anything. My other gripe is Chris Christie, Gov. of New Jersey campaigning for Scott Walker in Wisconsin!! Christie screams at his own constitutents when they ask questions he doesn't like. I wonder if Walker will be using him as a role model? I just keep praying that Walker loses in the recall and women stay mad until November and Romney loses too.
