Patriot Guard Riders, Please indulge me for a moment as I remember a friend, James Dow (J.D.) Walsh, Colonel (Ret), South Carolina Army National Guard. JD Walsh was.I believe the proper term would be.he was a character. He loved life. JD loved his family, his country, his dogs and his green pickup "with loud azzz mufflers". He thoroughly enjoyed making people laugh, sometimes at his own expense. JD enjoyed the love of his wife, Betty Ann, and family as well as the respect of the Laurens County community. He was one of those men who seemed a bit larger than life. It will take some time to fully realize that JD is gone. I last saw JD Walsh in this life on last Thursday evening. He was tired and in hospice. He had entered that last stage of sickness. I believe he knew we were there. And I believe he knew that Betty Ann was holding hands with him. There was strong love between these two. Friday morning will be chilly but if you are available I humbly request that you join me in Laurens. JD was spec ...

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN POSITIVE CHANGE FOR ANDERSON COUNTY, PLEASE SHARE THIS POST WITH YOUR FRIENDS. I am happy to announce that I have entered the race for County Council District Three against incumbent Councilman Eddie Moore. I greatly appreciate the support I received in the 2012 campaign receiving 41% of the vote as a petition candidate even during an election year when large numbers of voters voted along straight party lines. Just to remind everyone who Mitchell Cole is: I am a lifelong resident of Anderson County and have lived in District Three for almost 36 years. I am a retired Command Sergeant Major from the South Carolina Army National Guard with 39 years of service. The last two years of my service, I served in Washington, DC as Command Sergeant Major to a task force providing Air Defense of the National Capital Region the first year and helped manage logistical support and budgeting for the task force the second year. I retired from banking, performing every job from loan teller to Cit .. ...

Status Update By Pat Noonan Hey, this is Pat with in defense of Freedom, and this is a PSA directed at those of you listening, that are in the Intel community - I know that in your heart of hearts You love the Country you selflessly serve, as I did on active duty for 13 years, in the US Navy , and in the South Carolina Army National Guard for another 11. I've served about 24 years and made three 3 combat tours in the Defense Of Freedom for this Great Country. I'm rapidly approaching 52 years of age, and have witnessed first hand the best and worst, from our Leadership, I have read the American State Papers, The Constitution, Bill of Rights, The Federalist Papers, and have realized the genious of the Authors in creating the Country that outraced the entire world, in terms of Freedom and Democrasy, by after much thought and deliberation forming a Constitutional Republic, which allowed the majority of voters to decide our course, while not trampling the Minority under foot. Today we have Career Politicians, ...
