Now Troy's flight won't be in until 10:30 but at least he got a flight they were delaying and cancelling alot of the flights at Logan Airport in Boston, Massachusetts. I do not miss that place to live in but I would love to go and visit the beaches in Maine again and Cape Cod we would got in the middle of winter to Cape Cod and gather the most amazing shells which I sitll have and no one and I mean no one was there but us dumb Texans freezing out butt and ears off because we never would plans those little driving we would just go. Well, the brunt of this storm seems to winding down a bit. But, last night I saw pictures of the Orleans Yacht Club...it may not survive this high tide. It is such a beautiful location, but its so near the water. Saw pictures of it last night on the Cape Cod News page on FB...it was barely surviving. The winds dont seem to be as bad right now..they are now howling as they were. We will venture down to the Cape Cod national Seashore if we can later on and I will see if I can get pictures. THIS was worse than Sandy in my book..it certainly was a much LONGER storm thats for sure. Almost 3 whole days of this. Oh well...can you say GLOBAL WARMING? In “Why Schools Don’t Educate,” John Taylor Gatto, award winning public school teacher and critic of compulsory education, describes the creation of government schools in America: “Our form of compulsory schooling is an invention of the state of Massachusetts around 1850. Massachusetts Jobs Update: January 2013 Massachusetts added 16,100 jobs in January, the state’s largest monthly job gain since July 2011. This follows a revised December employment gain of 8,700, an increase of 1,200 jobs more than was initially reported. Massachusetts’ revised 2012 job growth total (Dec. ’11 – Dec. 12) is 49,400, or 2,200 jobs fewer than previously reported. Storm Update: The Winter Weather Advisory has been upgraded to a Winter Storm Warning this is now for Boston as far south as Cape Cod and Islands. At this time our best estimates remain what we have been saying 24 hours ago. The only change to the forecast is the higher totals for parts of southeastern Mass. Colder air will allow locations like Brockton, Taunton etc to pick up more snow than first thought. Otherwise, its snowing out there now for all of eastern Mass, with rain taking over Cape Cod. Temps this afternoon near 35. Some small accumulations are likely through 5pm.(Roads will remain mostly wet)! After 7-8pm it becomes colder, that coupled with heavier precip, means more accumulating snow, at a faster rate! This storm lasts through 10am or so Friday morning. I'm pretty much going to leave my snowfall forecast alone from earlier. A slow-moving winter behemoth storm system is developing along the Mid-Atlantic States after spreading snow from the High Plains into the Ohio Valley. The question that is yet to be satisfactorily answered is: how much snow will the NY Metro Area get? Potential Major Storm Pending. My latest Thoughts.. March did not roar in like a lion as it could have though indications that winter was going nowhere still hold true and now we have a potential major storm on our hands. The little lack of confidence with this one is simply due to one on our reliable models is not indicating as big as a snow threat and a low pass a bit farther to the south than the rest on the pack. Its why some folks tones are lower and why some others may be giving mixed signals on forecasting. Hopefully, and I'm sure in time we can iron these difference out, Hopefully by tomorrow morning. Snowfall amounts for any given location throughout Southern New England at this time are very difficult to pin down both in location and numbers. My good friend told me there's only one Cod fishing vessel left in the Chatham fleet! *** .. That's crazy, so where is the fish coming from? Cape Cod without Chatham fish doesn't sound good. Some young jacks need to get there *** out from behind the desk, grow some, and go see what work is. Alaska isn't the only "Deadliest Catch". Those water claimed many. In yesterday's Boston Globe was an obituary for the actor Dale Robertson. He apparently made a number of western movies. What I found fascinating, though was the reference to his first (uncredited) movie role, in the movie, "The boy with green hair" (1948). Why was this fascinating to me? In 1962 I was a seven year old camper at Camp Mar-ven, in Welfleet on Cape Cod. One evening they showed us kids, the movie "The boy with green hair". To this day, I still have nightmares about that movie. So it was interesting to see it referenced in Mr. Robertson's obituary.

Went to a Contemporary Church Service this evening. Lively and spirited. The music was great and everyone enjoyed the time. It was in it's way quite spiritual. I have been to many of God's Houses Episcopal, Catholic, Presbyterian, Baptist, Congregational, Lutheren, Methodist, Unitarian and MCC as well as his open cathedrals. Beside the ocean, in the forest, beside a stream, in the mountains, in the dunes at Cape Cod, a picnic with my family, on a stary night watching the stars twinkle, with or without the moon, a beautiful sunset or a great and inspiring sunrise (those who know me well know that sunrise thing doesn't happen very often). The music was inspiring in that it was music that is modern and yet speaks to the soul. I feel very blessed when I see pictures of my children and grandchildren and when my granddaughter posted a picture of my great-granddaughter and my grandson posted an ultrasound of my next great-grandchild, I am reflecting on how well God has treated me and I feel very grateful for all ...
